We stayed for two nights just before the British Open, and were delighted to find ourselves surrounded by golf enthusiasts, especially since they all had early breakfast which meant we almost had the dining room to ourselves each morning, with plenty of time to indulge in a full Ulster fry - freshly prepared each time. We had one dinner which was fine, fish and chips fried to perfection. Our room was on the street side, but not noisy. The bathroom was modern and easy to navigate. |Bed was extremely comfortable. I'm not sure of the age of the building, but the star of the show has to be the internal decor. Do take time when you visit to wander round the street level bar and the first floor restaurant and admire the fixtures and fittings. The attention to detail and the quirky-ness of some of the art provide clues of what is to come in food and lodging.

Great location. Room faces busy street but had an extra window that could close to block out noise. Kelly was wonderful in checking us in quickly so we could enjoy our time in city. Walking distance from many interesting sites. Staff accommodating, helpful. Bar, restaurant on location . Would recommend

Had the cauliflower bang bang and the chicken stack. The batter on the cauliflower and the tobacco onions was soggy and gelatinous. Obviously not cooked at the right temperature. Was in a hurry and the place was very busy otherwise both dishes would have been returned. My companion's meal was fine. Service was good and the restaurant is a nice setting.

Lovley hotel ,staff were very attentive. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Food in restaurant was lovley and good value for money . The lounge had live music on the Monday and Tuesday and served cocktails for £5 from 5 pm .Location is great 10 minute walk to city centre and 10 minutes to bus and train station.

Only went for a weekday lunch. Have never stayed in hotel so know nothing about the rooms. The food selection, service and ambience was excellent tho. Would definitely return there and so close to the city centre and Botanic train station.

Myself and friends booked the bottomless dinner for 15 people and the service was 10/10. Matteo and the rest of the staff were amazing the whole time and were always on the ball when ordering next rounds of drinks etc so the value for money is excellent. The food was also amazing and we had no faults with it. The restaurant staff were also so accommodating in providing us a table that was wheelchair accessible. Thank you again to Matteo and the rest of the staff for their amazing service!!

Stayed here for a couple of nights in Belfast.||Arrived at about 1 but rooms weren't ready, but we were able to leave luggage behind reception.||We had a double room on the third floor, accessible by a small lift or stairs. The room was nice, but more modern and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Free crisps and bottled water and enough room for us. However, the room was in need of a refurbishment and there was no air con which made for a warm nights sleep! There was a fan, but it was quite noisy. There was a light with a sensor which was also activated by the fan and couldn't be turned off, so had a difficult night sleep.||Breakfast was great. A small but good selection continental breakfast followed by a huge cooked breakfast. Even if you're not staying here, would recommend popping in for breakfast!||Booking direct also saw us get free breakfast and a free drink from the bar, which is very quirky, well stocked and well staffed.||Would highly recommend this hotel if something different if your kind of thing, you like a big breakfast, and aren't worried about air con or a super modern room.

Yelp
This place blew my mind! The decoration and atmosphere was of the most extravagancy. It felt like a 5 star hotel. The workers are really fast and hardworking and friendly! The food and drink service was overwhelmingly better! The food was spot on and cooked to the absolute perfection. I 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a nice Sunday dinner!

Yelp
I stayed at Benedicts of Belfast for 2 nights last week. The location is on the very far side of the City Centre, so its a bit of a walk to many of the tourist attractions, restaurants, and bars. It is a quick 5 minute walk from Queens University and the Ulster Museum. One thing to note if you are staying in the hotel, the bar becomes a club at night, so the hotel is loud. Luckily, we were able to get a fan from the front desk for some background noise, but we could still feel the bass. One thing that helped us get pretty good sleep was the amazingly comfortable beds. My boyfriend and I agreed that they were the most comfortable beds we have slept in in all of Europe. Breakfast was disappointing. There was a small buffet and choice of a hotel entree. The buffet included juices, baked goods, fruit, and yogurt. As for the hot entrees, the pancakes were chewy and inedible. The omelets were inconsistent - one day good, the next day, not so much. Service was also a bit lacking. If the price was right, I'd stay here again, but next time I'm in Belfast, I'll check other options out as well.

Yelp
I used to visit Benedicts of Belfast frequently a few years ago both for food in their upstairs restaurant and drinks in the downstairs bar. I've always enjoyed time spent here and found food, service and wine to be excellent. I called in last night for a drink and wondered why I haven't been in so long. I guess there are so many new places opening up around Belfast nowadays that it's easy to forget the great spots, such as Benedicts, already in existence. The bar is beautifully decorated in something along the lines of a luxurious Gothic and Art Nouveau hybrid style. I'm not sure how best to describe the interior but it is impressive. Staff are quick and efficient and the Shiraz I ordered was perfect. My two friends opted for cocktails which I sampled (a Skittles and a Very Berry cocktail) and we all thought them absolutely delicious, plus a great bargain at only £2.95 each! This £2.95 cocktail offer is on 7 days a week between 4pm and 10pm. I am very glad to have rediscovered Benedicts and am already planning a return soon...

Yelp
Yay! I'm a fan indeed as the 4 stars suggest. I can only comment on the bar though but not the restaurant or the hotel part of Benedicts. I am pretty happy with what I have seen and experienced so far. I love the decor I have to say, true to the name, Benedicts really takes you back to the middle ages - or at least that is what my limited knowledge of history tells me. Lovely pieces of art, chandeliers and candle holders all the way around the bar. I have tasted their cocktails and immediately decided that this is my new spot for after-work drinks! I hope my lovely cocktail buddies Ciara S, Emma B and Cara S will join me though soon enough! :) With the happy hours every day until 10 pm, 2.95 for a cocktail is unbeatable!

Yelp
Use to come here for Sunday carvery. Was only like £6 or something for a ton of food. Will have to try their beat the clock deal and sample some cocktails. Food and drinks are great value. Interior is old pub sorta style. There are lots of nooks and crannys and various seating. Giving it 4 stars as the crowd that is often attracted here can be pretty motley. Depending what time you go and day. Can get pritt loud and not the sorta atmosphere for a quiet drink.

Yelp
Had a meal here recently for a family gathering. Bar isn't my scene but that's a matter of taste (or class maybe?) I had eaten here before, and it was pretty good, but this time I made a big mistake. The Benedicts Burger is putrid. Of my group, 6 out of 6 who ordered the burger didn't finish it. It looks appealing coming out, but the meat used is very poor grade, and I'm sure there is a taste of 'sausage meat' or similar in there. I'm worried what I ate, whatever it was it was horrid and certainly not quality beef. I won't be back, and suggest you avoid.

Yelp
Great for offers and a nice space to relax in, the cocktails were a bit watery but nice and for the prices id say its value for money. I haven't tried the food yet but its apparently good. Very busy place and a local singer was in as well as a football match on the big screen. Could have been a good idea to have the singer on before or after the match as it was a bit much both at the same time.

Yelp
Great food, affordable prices. Benedicts caters for everyone, wether you want a carvery or a sit down meal. During the working week, you can have soup, and whatever you desire from a selection of dishes at the carvery counter, with plenty of salad to top your plates up with. And this is all for £6.99 Bargain. They also do a carvery on a Saturday and Sunday which is a bit more expensive but still under the £10 mark. The restaurant upstairs also have great deals on during the week and at the weekend. I've never had a bad meal from benedicts, one of my top restaurants to eat in. Affordable and tasty

Yelp
I am a frequent visitor to benedicts ... Both the bar/restaurant and the hotel. Cocktail happy hour every day with cocktails at £2.95... They are delicious. They have a beat the clock menu and a carvery at the weekend and I highly recommend both. I haven't stayed in a standard room ... I alway opt for the executive one, but I can honestly say it is one of the best I have stayed in Belfast. I love it so much I am due to stay there again next month!

Yelp
I've stayed in this hotel (long story, but needless to say that moving house is a pain). The bar is a nice enough place, but I've never been a particular fan because it's in the Bradbury Place/Shaftesbury Square area. The capacity of the other two bars and nightclubs here means that, come kicking out time, this area can be a total pain. If you're trying to get a taxi in this area at that time of night, it can be hectic. There must be close to 2,000 people descending upon this small strip of land at that time, all needing taxis home. Benedict's also has music every night of the week, whether it be live bands or DJs. I always found it to be a bit of a strange pub, as for me it wouldn't quite have the same crowd of regulars that you'll find in many of the other pubs in the city centre. As a hotel, though, I'd no complaints. The room was clean and bright, and nicely laid out. It had all the amenities you'd expect, and I'd have no problem recommending it as a place to stay, based on the rooms. Bradbury Place, however, isn't a place I'm particularly fond of though. The windows do a good job of keeping the noise out, and it's pleasant to watch people going out at the start of their night as you relax in the comfort of your room.

Jane D.

Yelp
It's okay but I don't like the noise. It's the sort of hotel you go to if you're at a party or something. It's not what you'd go to if you actually want to sleep.

Jade V.

Yelp
I love the food and cocktails. On a Saturday however it's incredibly busy which is great but I believe a expansion should go underway. Overall great place.

Yelp
We just finished a wonderful two-night stay at Benedicts, and everything was just top notch. The room was spacious and well-appointed; we had a quiet room on the back, away from the street. And the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The front desk helped us book some tourist excursions, and figure out our next bit of travel. Housekeeping even left us extra coffees for the second morning. Breakfast (included with our very reasonable room rate) was stunning, with a choice of traditional Ulster fry or other options like omelettes or pancakes. And, it's a great location, just a short walk to the heart of downtown in one direction and the Queens University area in the other. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A nice central location. Can't comment on the rooms, but the food is just amazing. We had a hen party there and the table was lovely decorated, the service was superb and extremely well organised. I had a filet steak and even it came with a heafty price tag (£19.95), it was worth every single penny. The steak was huge and cooked to perfection, it just melted in your mouth. I start drooling just thinking about it! An absolute must for somebody who enjoys good food!

Yelp
Was a bit put off when I initially arrived, that I had picked a clanger! but this was far from the case. The room was spacious and clean, there was some noise from the bar downstairs but not excessive and the breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel. really good value.
