We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location was incredibly practical—especially during our December visit—as it was right in front of a charming Christmas market, which made everything feel extra festive and convenient. The room was super quiet, which was a big plus for us as light sleepers. We appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and had a great night's sleep every night. One of the highlights, though, was the attention to detail regarding our dietary preferences. We reached out in advance to ask about vegan options for breakfast, and the staff went above and beyond. Not only did they prepare separate vegan plates with a variety of delicious options, but they even replaced the non-vegan caramel pillow treat with a specially arranged vegan wafer. These thoughtful touches made us feel really welcomed and cared for. All in all, a fantastic experience!

Stayed in Benediktushaus for 4 nights. Overall, had a great experience. Location of the Benediktushaus can not be beat, with Hofburg Palace, Kinsky Palace, Ferstel Palace and Cafe Central all right there, at stone's throw. 10 min walk to Mozarthaus, Albertina Museum, Sisi Museum, St. Stephan's Cathedral, St. Peter's Cathedral, Austrian Parliament building, Vienna State Opera. The breakfast was awesome with a great selection of savory items. Jura coffee machine is always a major bonus in my book. The rooms were super clean and cozy, although not particularly spacious. Thank you, Benediktushaus❤️

Outstandingly good! (I stayed here a year or so, ago.) Right in the heart of the inner city. Mass at the Schottenkirche was very good. V interesting museum on the property.

I am so glad we found the Benediktushaus for our sister-trip to Vienna in early December. The location was fantastic for us visiting the Christmas Markets - especially the Altwiener Christkindlmarkt literally just outside the door. We were a 10 minute walk to Stephensplatz, the Rathaus and the Hofburg complex. If anything was further out, transit was easily accessible. |The rooms were very standard, but comfortable. There was plenty of room with shelves, a closet with hangars, a good-sized ledge in the bathroom, a working towel heater, etc. The bedding was comfortable, the towels were adequate. Shampoo/body wash was provided, but no lotion or conditioner. The hairdryer was dated... but we didn't stay here for luxurious comforts. |As mentioned in other reviews the European-style breakfast was very nice and the staff was always helpful if something was running low. |We were on the second floor (the same floor as the breakfast room), and enjoyed sitting out in the shared area in the evenings since we were in 2 different rooms. |We arrived during business hours, but if you arrive after-hours, you will need to pay attention to the instructions they provide to you. The doors are locked in the evenings and your key is needed for access. |We used the spiral staircase to get to the 2nd floor, but the small elevator is available. The elevator is in the center of the spiral staircase, so it is small. There are also several small steps before you get to the elevator, one step up at the exterior door and another step up to access the elevator. |The staff are great and very welcoming. This was really a very good value for staying in Vienna city center.

Amazing location in the middle of town close to almost all attractions and tons of great restaurants. Rooms are large, bathrooms are small but manageable, breakfast was good and staff are very kind. Only area for improvement is the beds could be more comfortable

It was a most wonderful place to stay in Wien. It has everything: perfect location, exceptionality and charm, impression to do not forget, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast. I wish that no one finds this place for us to have the possibility to book it again!

I don’t like giving a place a bad review, but under the circumstances I must. My daughter and I had planned this trip to Vienna for a year to see Taylor Swift. The concert was canceled and because the hotel has a three day cancellation rule, we missed canceling by one day. So we had to stay there. I know that rules are rules, but grace and understanding go a long way. And then….since there are no tv’s in the room, we couldn’t watch the nationally televised Eras tour movie.

Beautiful location in the Schottenstift. Located within easy walking distance to bus/subway stops, this quiet accommodation allowed us to relax at the end of each day without the normal noise/hustle of other city locations. An excellent experience overall. Staff was friendly and gave a couple of nice recommendations for restaurants in different parts of the city. The elevator is small, but really fun! The room was clean and well kept, and the breakfast was satisfying. Be advised that since this is in an older building, they don’t have central air conditioning. The room was furnished with a fan that will keep the room cool enough (we needed it since we were there during the heat wave).
