Benevolent Neglect is one of the best kept secrets in Napa. Our tasting experience with Ben, one of the owners, introduced us to wines that we normally do not drink. His passion for the grapes, the smaller family vineyards and sustainability only added to the charm of the 70s throwback vibe and space. Highly recommend this tasting room for anyone in Napa - visitors or locals alike. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the wines we ordered. Definitely a 5⭐️ experience all around.

This place is AWESOME!!! Great wines, great ambiance, and dog friendly! We love coming here and never feel like we don’t fit in even though we’re not super winos. Highly recommend to all comers!

Highly recommend this quirky, off-main establishment. Excellent music choose from (I preferred 90's alternative myself), mid-century modern aesthetics and of course Ben, who was a great host with lots of knowledge! Waiting for our shipment of wines so that we can enjoy them again :)

We stopped in to Benevolent Neglect today while wandering around town; I'd had some of their wines before in my local store and enjoyed them so I was happy to check them out. The vibes were immaculate, the wines were great, and Ben was a great host. Absolutely recommend for a chill tasting experience in downtown Napa.

I felt at ease here, as a wine liker but nothing more, I know the wines are tasty, the space is welcoming, and Ben is great, willing to chat and answer any and all of our questions

This winery was top notch, and a highlight of our Napa tour. Even though it hasn’t been open too long, it was an awesome environment and they had some great wine. The tasting was very reasonably priced, and the bring-your-own-record set up made it easy to enjoy their awesome wine your own way. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and was very helpful with us even after the they learned we lived in one of the two states you can’t ship wine to (a complete joy killer in some wineries, even though we still wanted to purchase). Professional, high quality, and fun. Would go again for sure!

Very cool place. Make a reservation for a tasting it's worth it. Excellent music rotation, unusual and creative mix of wines to taste, outstanding service. Great place for a group of three or four.

This was our second time coming here and we love it! The wines are great and the space is modern and bright. Ben is really fun and we enjoyed talking to him. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Napa so we can come back to this wonderful tasting room.

Ben was fantastic. Super fun to chat with, shared a number of great wines with us to match our tastes. We loved the wines and the conversation, and that it's dog friendly. We ended up buying three bottles. It was our first trip to Napa but will definitely come back next time we're in town.

This is what I call a wine bar. The ambience is great; hipster decor with vinyl background musics. The staff/owner was super attentive. He explained to us the different wines and let us come to our conclusions re: the taste. He also gave us the time and space to enjoy the wine and was right there when we were ready for the next tasting. Better yet, the prices were on the affordable end too!! We went to "Be Bubbly" after and that was like a 3/5 comparatively. Like night and day. Definitely check out Benevolent Neglect.

Wow is this the first review?! How cool! Casually walked by this place today and it was a must to stop in!!! Super cute chic vibe inside. Had a nice chat with the owner, this place has been open for about 4 months now. We opted to do wine by the glass since we were headed to dinner after and were pleasantly surprised by the yummy tasting wine! I had 2 glasses of Riesling and my friend 2 glasses of a red wine, I don't remember the name. Wine was good and the pours were solid. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. He explained a bit of the backstory of the wine and how it started. We didn't have reservations so it was awesome they were still able to seat us given it's a small tasting room. We loved the intimate vibe and the chic decor. They also have a back room for private tastings and parties. Will definitely be back!

Recommended to me by another tasting room. Came in on Labor Day and so glad I did. The GSM was excellent. Seriously excellent. Nice warm 60s vibe inside with a record player to put your favorite record on. I enjoyed it so much I lost track of time. Ben gave you time to taste with room to enjoy y yourself and ask questions. The paintings and bottles are beautiful. So nice to get away from the the cold aesthetic of some of the more popular places in the area. I will absolutely be back and highly recommend you stop by.

Great place! Amazing paintings that align to the wines. Special Pinot Gri which is light and ready to go! Great vibe with the vinals!

We had such a wonderful experience at Benevolent Neglect this past weekend! We booked the tasting room for our friend's bachelorette party and they were so accommodating and kind--especially the owner, Ben. We had the backroom to ourselves and it was so perfect for our group. Many people recommended BN and we were glad they did! The wine was excellent but most importantly, we had a great time.
