We had a great experience and might go back tomorrow or the next day to try other items! We're visiting from out of state for a convention and staying near by and love Italian food. Regardless of the recent negative reviews, we wanted to give it a try, and we're so glad we did! They're in their soft launch with a grand opening coming in a few weeks. We wish them the best of luck!
This place is beautiful, simple and modern in the interior, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. From greeting staff to the bussers, our waitress, and the GM, everyone treated our party as esteemed guests. You could certainly tell they cared a lot about giving us a lovely dining experience and care about their menu as well.
Want to give a shout out especially to our waitress, Maddison! She ROCKS - friendly, attentive, and easy to interact with. She was also quick to give recommendations and we believed her because she was genuinely enthusiastic about what she loved (not just listing what is popular for sake of having an answer) - her recommendations did not disappoint either!
For their complimentary bread service, they bring small sampler that was ok. It was nice to snack on but we're used to receiving bread service that is more like a small, warm, loaf basket which this was not. It had some thin, long breadsticks, two small rolls and some little bread spears with a side or olive oil. They offer butter on request. We wouldn't say this is a negative against their menu, just wasn't anything exciting to us.
For drinks, I had a bourbon based cocktail called The Godfather. I would go back just for that, I liked it a lot! My friend just had soda.
We got the lobster bisque to start with some calamari. The Bisque was full of flavor! Not a lot of meat in it, but absolutely delicious - we would both get it again. The calamari I wouldn't say stands out from other Italian menus we've experienced but it certainly wasn't bad. We enjoyed it.
I had the Gnocci which was truly a 10/10 for me. Texture of the gnocci was so good, The pesto & burrata sauce was wonderful!! I scraped my bowl clean. The portion size was also more than enough. There are some dried tomatoes that are a part of it as well.
My friend got their steak dish and the plating was loveley. The general manager came by after we received it to be sure it was cooked appropriately. He had my friend cut into it and immediately as he started cutting said "oh dear, it's over cooked, you ordered medium rare, this will not do. We are going to recook your steak, it must be perfect!". We are pretty easy going patrons so it wasn't a big deal to us but we certainly appreciate that they did that for us! They truly care about their menu and putting their best foot forward for their guests. When they returned they truly presented a fantastic cook on the steak.
We finished our meal with Tiramisu and coffee. I'm kinda a snob about tiramisu because it's my favorite dessert but when it's your grandmothers recipe....you can't go wrong. This was so good! It has a generous amount of the mascarpone, a proper soak of the lady fingers. and a fun Touch espresso beans on top!
We also thought that the price of what we got was appropriate.
If you still need suggestions of what to try, we heard that the pork tomahawk and the risotto dish are highly recommended - if we go back I personally want to try the linguini!!!
Cheers to the owners and the staff in their new beginnings, delicious food and a successful launch! We hope your city embraces you as you continue to fine tune your experience.
Updated March 2, 2025 : I ended up coming back two more times before returning home. Had to try the linguine, LOVED the Caesar salad dressing!! And the Pana Cotta was so yum!!!
