We stayed here for 5 nights. From check in to check out our stay was excellent. The bedrooms are clean, well furnished and well air conditioned. The pool has ample Sun beds and was not overly busy. Location wise, it’s prefect. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and old town, but away from the hustle and bustle of it. Highly recommend this hotel and I will be back for sure!

Spent a lovely few days here. The hotel was clean, quiet, and well maintained. Check-in was smooth, the room was comfortable, and breakfast had a good variety — we especially enjoyed the churros. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I’d like to briefly highlight Maria, who provided excellent service during our stay — very polite and attentive. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Would be happy to return if I’m ever in the area again.

Lovely hotel. Room very spacious, sea view, comfortable beds and full bathroom with bath as well. |Never an issue at the pool area, could always get a sunbed. |Food was excellent, great varied choice and plenty of it too. |All staff were very helpful and pleasant. |We would definitely go back.

The Good - good location near shops and beach etc. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Some areas have been refurbed ie reception and ground floor lounge. ||The Bad - very dated bedroom (6th floor) although some rooms had been refurbed on other floors and might be better. Lots of selection for breakfast however the hot options could be vastly improved. I see lots of good reports about the staff being friendly however we didn’t see many smiling nor did they come across particularly friendly.||Summary - don’t expect 4 star

Stayed at the plaza 10-17 May. Great location for old town and 15-20 minute walk to new. We’ve stayed at many hotels Barcelo Beach (feb25) , RH Princessa, h10, Villa Del Mar to name a few all stunning and 4 star. ||We found reception staff to be rude especially the men. Room, restaurant, bar and Jose staff smiley and friendly. We had 2 rooms on half board 621/602 both doubles. On arrival at 130am, 621 smelt awful and musky. Our double was 2 singles pushed together and made up as singles, the mattresses were thin and squeaked. In the morning and light we noticed the flaws, the bathroom is tiny. Size doesn’t matter but the configuration is an accident waiting to happen. You need to manoeuvre a small gap from the shower screen and bidet when the floor gets wet and then the risk of hitting your head between the wc and sink unit in the tight space. Toiletries are provided but but look cheap in their presentation. Bring your own hairdryer as the room offering is the 1970s hose. Outside the room, in the hall the painted wall at the bottom was all peeling. Room 602 was of similar size, but the bathroom was better laid out. ||Food|Breakfast- there will be something to eat (cereal, fruit, cooked etc) but compared to the other hotels, the choice is very limited. There is no omelette station and the hot food is generally lukewarm. If you are half board you do have the option to swap lunch for dinner, which is a positive.||The pool- the winter cover was on when we arrived so had to pay €3 each for swimming cap. Seems silly to insist on that but not to shower before entering. I think it was another money making scheme, as 2 days later the pool cover was removed and no caps required. The pool is a nice size and there were plenty of sunbeds but because of the position of the hotel and adjacent buildings, the pool and terrace are in shade at different times of the day. ||WiFi free but poor, you have to pay a daily fee for the safe and a deposit which is refundable. Check out is 12pm, we have a late flight and asked to pay and extend 1 room. Unfortunately this could not be accommodated, although we were informed luggage could be stored and showers available by the gym.||Overall, would I stay again definitely not. Apart from location, there are many other 4 star hotels with better rooms, food and staff.

Great family run hotel, with the most amazing friendly staff. Some staff speak English but many don't, but this doesn't distract from a lovely Spanish style atmosphere. The staff really are lovely and my advice is to engage with them and try and learn some Spanish and something of the culture from the staff.||Don't come here expecting a stag and hen mad party atmosphere, it's more laid back and catered for Spanish guests in general rather than English. If you want the mad party English vibe this isn't the place for you.||The food is excellent very Mediterranean and international, not chicken nuggets, pizza and chips thank goodness. It baffles me when I see comments about lack of choice etc, it's great food and the chefs happy to talk to you about the food.||The hotel is getting on in years, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the hotel is very accommodating to anything you may need and they are constantly making improvements.||We have stayed in many different hotels in Benidorm and found the Plaza most closely suits our needs. We prefer being in the old town and away from the strip for which the hotel is perfect.||Just a quick mention to Angel and his team and especially Rossanna, Marisi, Jose (a real top bloke), Rocio, Pepe, Dani, Miguel and everyone I have not mentioned...thank you and see you in November.

Perfect location, just between the old town and the bars, and only 10 minutes to the beach. The staff at reception and the hotel bar were very attentive and polite and I was very impressed with the breakfast buffet, a full display of hot and continental and it never run out, it even had Prosecco. All very clean, I will definitely come back, I thought it was good value for money. Definitely recommend it.
