Benidorm Plaza

I stayed here for 5 nights as a solo parent travelling with three children. We booked via easyjet holidays. 1 - arrival was great bus transfer with beni express no issues. Nice welcome from the hotel. We arrived late though meaning we had missed dinner. A small sandwich offering would have been a good gesture instead We had to find somewhere to eat as soon as we got there. Second day was the new years Gala ball. Which was very nice. The room we were in was on the second floor and it was to noisy from the entertainment so we moved to the 15th floor which was a bit too high and scary with little ones but was quiet. The entertainment starts quite late 8.45 ish and is all in Spanish so we didn't really get to enjoy that. The soft play was good and the pool but lacked baby changing facilities and the changing rooms were freezing. The check out was early 6.45 am and again we didn't have the option offered to us of a packed up breakfast which was disappointing compared to previous hotels. Overall the food was good but was a bit basic. Roast chicken and chips. Fish and some veg. My eldest son mostly eat out. Some of the staff in the restaurant weren't very friendly or helpful with the baby and made my daughter feel uncomfortable saying things like your beautiful when she went up for food. She's only 8. Overall the hotel was a good stay but mostly that was the location. I would come to benidorm again but we wouldn't pick this hotel.

Booked as a last minute break to escape the weather in the UK, this proved to be a pleasant stay. As a digital nomad, it had everything I needed to work (good WiFi) and provided a decent standard and range of food at both breakfast and dinner. The staff were all very polite and helpful whist I was happy to receive a complementary bottle of fizz in my room (it was my birthday whist away). The hotel is well located for the new and old town, and I had a decent night's sleep but wonder how quiet it would be in high season. Overall, a good hotel and one I might well return to in the near future.

Stayed 1406 10th November 4nights. Good view of the croo lit up at night and the island. Food good not Michelin but we eat well at Breakfast and evening meal. Staff i found helpful and polite. Shower was good pressure but we couldn't get constant temperature. I think thermostats should be fitted as it blasted very hot then cold. Location ideal for us. Predominantly Spanish no problem. We had a coffee machine with capsules. 100% I would stay again.

Really like this hotel, very international in every respect with a mix of Spanish and International guests. The food is very good, we sometimes wonder when we read other reviews about the food whether it was from this hotel because we have never had a bad meal in all the years of coming. The staff are still as engaged and friendly as ever, the hotel is still super clean and the location great for the old town. It was fiesta week during our stay so lots of music, fireworks, parades and everything Spanish and fancy dress day in the English side of town and then the Half Marathon, so if your coming during the Spanish fiesta don’t expect lots of sleep 😂 but it is a fantastic time of year. We can’t praise the staff enough during this time as the hotel is busy but they are still great with everyone.

Great location situated close to the old town and a 20 minute walk down to the strip. Booked a premium room and both rooms were clean and tidy, beds were on the firm side but the pillows comfortable. Kettle, fridge and tea/coffee/milk in room but the paper cups provided to drink from are horrible. Bring your own tea and coffee, in my opinion. Hairdryer in bathroom is rubbish, bring your own. Remote controls for air con and tv covered in plastic making them difficult to operate. English tv channels available in the room.||Bathroom had seen better days but was clean and partly modern. Pool view from the room and overlooking a sun terrace. Shower was powerful and the water was hot at all times. ||Restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. Food was hot at breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of choice available. Drinks from the bar are reasonably priced. ||Check in was swift and information provided about hotel and meal times. Note that to swim in the pool you need a swim cap which you can purchase for €3 if you don’t have one. ||Lifts were great. Not long to wait. Nice atmosphere in and around the hotel. Ideal for a long weekend break with friends as the hotel provided a comfortable base in a great location.

Great hotel. [ my thoughts] Room nice size, great views [ 12th floor] Staff always gave a smile. A lot of spanish staying so you know it's a good hotel. Only breakfast on my deal & very good. [ mostly spanish] choices.

Hotel was brilliant. The staff was very helpful. Food could not fault it. The down side of the hotel was the entertainment. It was All for the Spanish. Which is wrong. I don't think the Spanish like the English anymore!!

Review: Disappointing Stay at Benidorm Plaza Hotel I recently stayed at the Benidorm Plaza Hotel and was quite disappointed with several aspects of my visit. The hotel doesn’t really cater for English guests — most of the entertainment is entirely in Spanish and seems to focus on Spanish visitors only. It would have been nice to have something more inclusive for all nationalities. The breakfast was very poor and often cold, which was a letdown. On arrival, the reception staff didn’t mention that everyone is required to purchase a swimming hat to use the pool — even men with no hair! This should have been explained upfront. The evening meal doesn’t start until 8pm, which is far too late if you have children. When I asked if dinner could be served earlier, I was simply told that the Spanish don’t like to eat earlier. Similarly, when I asked why the swimming pool was covered, I was told it was because the Spanish think it’s too cold — again, not very accommodating for other guests. Overall, if you’re staying here, I’d say it’s fine as a basic place just to get your head down, but don’t expect much else.
