This place is amazing! Found it on Trip Advisor when googling best places to go in Traverse City for our trip. So glad it was on the list!!! They have so many edible items made with cherries, make sure you try the cherry yogurt pretzels; we went back the next day to get more for ourselves and family! 🍒💗

Awkward visit to this shop… a busy Sunday yet the older lady which I assume is the owner or manager kept following me around however was very friendly and helpful to other folks in the store. I’ll stick to cherry republic where I’m not stereotyped. The young lady at the cashier was however kind and friendly to me.

We LOVE every one of the cherry chocolate and cherry bombs we bought last weekend in Traverse. I would move to Traverse City just to be close to the store ...and the Lake!!!

It's a great shop for anything michigan Cherry. The owner farms all his own cherries. The lady working in the store was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She was a great help looking for gift baskets ideas. I will stop whenever I come through here again . Ty

I have visited the wonderful store when I have been in Traverse City but more recently I order online. It has all been great - fantastic tasting dried cherries.

GREAT LITTLE SHOP!! I was searching online for a "Michigan-themed" gift basket to send to some friends out of state. I came across the website for Benjamin Twiggs gift shop. I wanted to customize my order, so I clicked the box for Contact Me, and received an email directly from Julie, the owner. She was quick to respond, and very open to any customizing I wanted to do. I happened to be in the Traverse City, Michigan area recently, so I stopped in to select my gift box items in person. I saw the store would be closing in a half an hour, but went inside. The sales person Jeanne was very welcoming and very helpful. This was a great little shop with great customer service! I will definitely order from here again!

What a great experience at the original cherry products store in Traverse City! Located in a spot where parking isn’t an issue but still fairly close to downtown. I would highly recommend the chocolate covered cherries, cherry coffee and CAMPFIRE CRACKLE!! The staff is very friendly and help you with any question or need!! Great job Julie and staff!!

Received a wonderful gift basket and loved it. One star off because they could use cleaner ingredients in their products. Please no more oils added to your cherries. Fewer ingredients the better. Update: my review is not being posted after 3-4 weeks, one more star off

Very cute lil store with all kinds of trinkets and goodies to buy. Snacks, sauces and gnomes a plenty too. I bought two adorable gnomes on clearance and trail mix snacks. I'd go back to shop again when in the area for sure.

Stopped in here as an after thought while waiting to get seated at the Omellete Shoppe restaurant that is right next door. Boy what a great unintended find. Benjamin Twigs is a small speciality shop that specializes in all things cherry tp include coffees, teas, candies, sauces, jams, sodas, kitchen wares, clothing and the list goes on and on. They have free samples of a number of their items to entice you into buying their products and boy did it work on me. I ended up buying the Cherry vanilla coffee, cherry barbecue sauce and cherry sour candies all of which were offered as free samples. Additionally we ended up buying some small cherry chocolate bags of candies as stocking stuffers for the kids and grand kids for Xmas. Overall, this really is a great place to visit and sample and if you do, you probably will end up buying some of their wonderful products. As a tip, if you are a corporate person bring a business card with you and you will receive 10% off your purchase. Every little bit helps........

The staff was awesome. Super nice. Got the dark Chocolate Cherries and Cherry Pepper Jelly. They both were delicious. Wish I had bought pie.

You know, I didn't used to care. They all tasted the same to me. I bought the everyday jam from the grocery store. But I'll never forget my first bite into pear cinnamon preserves. Real preserves. And then there was no going back to the grocery store bought "jam". To the sugary artificial flavor overload. No, no, I couldn't do that. I was stuck on homemade jam. And homemade was stuck on me. If I still lived in just down the road from Benjamin Twiggs, I would be getting my preserves from them. But since I no longer live in the area, I stop in every time I'm there and pick up some of my favorite stuff. My favorites include the cherry salsa, the cinnamon pear preserves, and the pumpkin butter if it's in season. It's worth mentioning that since Traverse City is the cherry capital of the world, you can't go wrong with the cherry-centric gift baskets. (Pictured in the photos.) The pancake mix was wonderful, and though cherry bbq sounds strange, it's really something else. Whether you're a cherry-holic or just want something unique from Traverse City, Benjamin Twiggs is the place for you.

Oh my word! Pumpkin butter! Pumpkin coffee! SO YUMMY! Inexpensive. Friendly. *Convincing*. This shop offers a huge selection of both cherry products and other seasonal foods and decorations that are a must have in any home. If you're hoping to bring the flavor of Traverse City home with you- you must, must, must stop by.

Was in Traverse City on vacation, and stopped in to see what all the "cherry" craziness was about. I swear I thought I'd died and gone to heaven - they had so many fabulous items to choose from, and they had samplers out to taste different things throughout the store. The cherry sours (like sour patch kids but just cherry) were a big hit for my kids, and I ended up buying a whole set of items as an auction donation for an organization. My favorite things were beautiful stainless steel colanders with a cherry design, pancake mix with dried cherries, cherry syrup, cherry themed kitchen towels, cherry pitters (can't wait to use this next summer!) and my all time fav - the gorgeous kitchen aprons. They were so beautiful, and they had quite a selection to pick from! I'm glad they ship, as I will definitely be buying more from this great store.

This place is pretty cool. A really wide variety of interesting items. The lady working was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to try the cherryaki marinade I bought! Bought a few gifts here too - like some sex jelly and cherry pepper jam. They were out of the sex wine or I would have bought that too. Yep, those are the gifts I like to give!!

Laura you are wonderful! My son was shipping out to see in the Navy. His package was lost at fedex with days to go. Laura and Julie to the rescue!!! He got it in time! He loved the taste of home chocolate covered cherrys. Your customer service is exemplary !!! Love you gals.

A must hit gift shop in traverse city. Their candy is just as good as cherry republics with half the chaos of trying to shop downtown. Unique finds too such as local painted signs, tote bags, and cherry kitchen decor. Truly beautiful finds.

The best place for cherry products in northern Michigan! They have the most tender and plump dried tart cherries, perfect for baking, salads, sauces and snacking. I've tried all the other dried cherries sold in this area, and Twiggs has the very best around. Buy them in larger quantities for a better price, and you won't have to wish you'd bought more once you get them home. The Cherry Butter, Cherry Apple Butter, Black Cherry Preserves, Cherry Berry Jam, Cherry Pepper Jam and Pumpkin Butter are goodies I can't live without! The Chocolate Cherry Festival coffee is one of my favs and my dad always wants me to send it to him when he runs out. The Northwoods BBQ Sauce is my families favorite, and has also become the favorite of my brother in Texas, and considering the myriad choices he has there, that is saying something! The shop is charming, with the friendliest staff in town, greeting all the customers who come in and offering samples of fresh coffee and cherry products. You can try almost everything they sell, and I think I have. They also have cherry themed gifts and kitchen goods, as well as cute, but not cheesy, Traverse City and Michigan souvenirs. They ship everywhere in case you don't have room in your suitcase or if you want to send goodies for the holidays. Great catalog and website make it easy to order from anywhere. I forgot to mention their Cherry Salsas! Three types, but my favorite is still the original Cherry Salsa, which is so yummy, with a little bit of heat. Make sure you ask to try this if it isn't out. They have great parking, being located just past downtown, across from the Civic Center, which is a huge plus. This is a must stop for anyone visiting the area. It also happens to be the oldest cherry product business in Michigan.

My company used Julie and her staff to help me look brilliant for our company's Christmas corporate gifts. The service was impeccable! They prepared 16 boxes of amazing goods and shipped everything. Great local company - a must stop for personal or business.

I enjoy shopping at Benjamin Twiggs several times a year when I am in town. It's so much fun to be surrounded by all of those cherries!!! The whole family and our friends go nuts over the dried cherries: both the unsweetened and the sweetened. They are the best, and they are so healthy. We love the milk chocolate covered cherries and the cherry salsa. Mix the salsa with a little Greek plain yogurt and it is a good dip or a good salad dressing. I love to share gifts like the mugs, jewelry, and dish towels. It is so much fun to shop here. I feel like I'm in a toy shop for adults!!!! Thanks, Julie, for such good service, too.

Twiggs is a definate fun stop in Traverse City. They offer all kinds of yummy cherry goodies like black cherry preserves, red cherry preserves, cherry butter, cherry BBQ sauce and Cherries & Raspberries Foster, my personal fav. Also fabulous chocolates, real cherry cordials and even chocolate covered potato chips that are to die for! Custom gift baskets and boxes can be shipped ANYWHERE, and they sample their coffee and food stuffs everyday. Friendly help and it smells great! A do-not-miss on your northern Michigan travel itinerary.

We ordered bulk chocolate covered cherries from Benjamin Twiggs as favors for our wedding. We got half dark and half milk chocolate and both tasted great! Julie was easy to work with--very responsive by email and phone. Thanks for adding a yummy Pure Michigan touch to our wedding!

I used Benjamin Twiggs to create customized chocolate covered cherry gifts for my guests at my wedding reception. Service was excellent and timely. They were done several days ahead of schedule. The customized labels were wonderful. What better reception gift than chocolate covered cherries when your event is in the Cherry Capital! I've tried several of the products at Benjamin Twiggs and still have some more to go. I won a gift box that had three kinds of cherry salsa - very good! Since then, I have been to the store a couple of times and my favorites are the dark chocolate covered cherries and a tart chewy cherry candy that I can't stop eating once I start! Being a local business person and doing business in Traverse City, I appreciate that almost everything they sell is made in Michigan. It's a great gift store and fun to munch on some of the samples.

The products here are absolutely delicious. I gave gift baskets last Christmas containing several Benjamin Twiggs products, and now the bar has been set. My sister in Illinois asks for the Cherry Honey Mustard all the time now; the Cherry BBQ Sauce is amazing on grilled shrimp or chicken...and don't even get me started on the Campfire Crackle! You can ship, which makes gift-giving really convenient---the hardest part is deciding what to buy, because you'll be tempted by everything in the store!
