"Benmarl overlooks the Hudson River, and serves wood-fired pizzas you can eat outside on a deck while you wonder why Adirondack chairs aren’t called Hudson Valley chairs. In other words, there are lots of reasons to drive 90 minutes north to this winery in Marlboro, not least of which are their estate-bottled wines. Make a reservation through their website for proof that good cab franc can be grown outside France on a vineyard that’s both family and dog-friendly. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Loved the location. It’s totally magical during the fall foliage. The view from atop the mountain is wonderful. Food and wines are unquestionable. The only recommendation is to book a prior reservation before your trip it gets pretty busy. But it’s a huge area even if it’s busy there still is plenty of space.

Haven't been to Benmarl in years. Was happy to finally make it back and enjoy tasting my way through the wines. I was pleasantly surprised as I don't remember the selection being as great as it was this time around. The service especially added to the experience- everyone there was very friendly and helpful in pointing out the hits on the menu. The beautiful fall day and incredible views added to what was an idyllic afternoon outing!

We had a lovely wine tasting experience at Benmarl Winery. We went on a quiet Tuesday afternoon 10/15/24 at 1PM. We had the entire place to ourselves. We did a tasting and cheese board. Everything including the service was top notch. Thanks again for everything. Great views!

Wines are great, servers are great but service system is absolutely wrong! They don’t take credit cards for food and force you to use ATM inside. Food is self service for cash. The greeting from the entrance is so weird and they make you wait long to get seated. This place has a huge potential but needs some professional touch with their service system. Overall great wine and location.

Very good place. The wines were fantastic, with a good variety to choose from. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the tasting experience enjoyable and easy. The winery itself is beautiful, with lovely views that add to the experience. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area!

Firstly, I would note that this was a reflection of the decisions of the hostesses present and not on the brand of the winery. As a local to Marlboro who has visited this location with/without reservations in the past I would say this did not meet the criteria. It always had been a great experience for business dinners and personal friends visitations the past few experiences. We locals have loved it so much so it is disappointing to report that today was a very rude way of handling the reservation with my special guests after we had anticipated ending this as the last stop before returning to the city. They mentioned it was two servers/hostesses so waiting was not the issue, it was the fact that as we waited they brought in three different walk-in couples and would mention again for the delay and ask us several times if we had a reservation without any reason as to why we were not being brought back. There was open seats available and seeing several be seated beforehand after our arrival was hard to ignore or feel personal. By the time we finished what should’ve been a 30-50 minute reservation, for a simple order of two flights with no food orders, it was over a 90 minute ordeal. As a recurring customer I noticed this was a discrepancy between my previous experiences and this one and that both offended me and made me reconsider my endorsement for any future endeavors. It was a smaller party of 4, with all of us present and arriving 25 minutes prior to the reservation time and being seated almost 15 minutes after the window. I will note the venue was beautiful, the day was sunny and not too hot. So my guests were at the end satisfied but for myself to write this review was both fueled by disappointment and concern for another in my position to not experience this again.

Nice place. Molly was at the receptionist and took me and my family to our table, sweet girl professional at the same time. Calm and kind and apologize from everyone that she will be back to take them. Good choice for a welcome person. We will be back Thanks Molly. Brook was also so sweet. We stayed late and she was very kind and professional with no attitude. Service is the secret of good business. Thanks Molly and Brook!

Beautiful views! We visited the Winery for the Sangria Festival (another one coming in August '24 if you missed it). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were very clean and they even had staff going around taking your trash or empty pitchers. They had security walking around as well to make sure everyone was good. The sangria tastings were great but we found that our favorite was the Strawberry Mojito. To purchase a glass was $10 and the pitcher was $45 so we went with the pitcher since we knew we wanted more than 2 glasses each. The pitcher serves 8-10, I believe they said. They had plenty of restroom options available. Cash only for this event but there is an ATM on-site. Pizza is made on premises with their own pizza oven and it is delicious. We had the margherita. Music was great. Dancing. Plenty of parking. Even the other guests were great to talk to. I recommend visiting!
