Great place to get a 4 year degree

Met them at the job fair. Nice College and maybe I can teach Hollywood to students. This post had 5k views in a short time period. Funny that the College never called me back to talk about teaching. Too bad they have no pro teaching Hollywood style filmmaking. Go to USC they know me and I have used their job board.

Bennington was GREAT, but Hampshire was a better "overall fit" for me college-wise. No regrets. Bennington has a gorgeous campus though. 👍 Hampshire and Bennington are ABSOLUTELY "sister" colleges, so you will meet transfers going from one to the other (and vice-versa) at both schools. Other "sister colleges" to Bennington & Hampshire were Marlboro College (which closed back in 2020 😔) & Goddard College (which just closed it's doors at the end of the current 2023-2024 Academic Year 😓) both of which I also applied to back in 1992 when I was applying to colleges and universities. All four colleges had a GREAT DEAL in common, down to the type of students they attracted, with Bennington & Hampshire having the most in common with each other and Marlboro & Goddard the same. Only Bennington & Hampshire now remain in what I called the: "Consortium of Alternative New England LAC's."

And to think I coulda gone to Julliard! No regrets coming to Bennington. The most surreal 4 years I've ever spent. Thanks!

I applied to Bennington and got in. It was in my top 10. I REALLY was drawn to the Field Work Term aspect of Bennington's academic program. However, Bennington was just a bit too small for me. Like Marlboro & Goddard, it was one of the three Vermont colleges I applied to, and it was just TOO small. The town of Bennington is cute and quaint, but hardly a cultural mecca. Hampshire was still the MUCH better overall fit. Granted, Bennington is probably more academically renowned, but I still couldn't see myself there for four years. One of the most BEAUTIFUL campuses out of all the colleges I applied to though. Bennington definitely scored high on that aspect.

This College, set in this beautiful setting has produced excellent students who have gone on to have careers in numerous creative fields! My daughter went here for four years and enjoyed her experience! I highly recommend it!
