It was a fabulous experience in Bentley Hotel Mumbai. The staff was so nice and available to help. The room was quite big and very clean. The bed is confortable. You have the possibility to order your breakfast (omelett, tea, coffee, toast...) the staff bring your breakfast tray in your room! I loved this experience!

Love this low key old school hotel. Rooms are huge, open and airy. Staff is pleasant and helpful, location is perfect, on the leafy back streets between the main road and the harbour. If your looking for old mumbai, go here.

Probably cheapest offer in Colaba for a room with private bathroom. Location is perfect. AC and shower are fine but no shampoo or soap provided Breakfast is just toasts with jam.

I stayed at Bentleys Hotel twice in 2025: once for 3 nights from 23-26 Feb, then went out of town to Aurangabad, then returned for 3 nights, from 1-4 March 2025. I was travelling solo, but the single room wasn't available, and because Bentleys came so highly recommended (friend, Lonely Planet) I agreed to the double, which was a huge room, but somewhat on the grungy side. Still, it was clean enough and the attached bathroom was fine. It cost 4600rs compared to the single for 3400rs. ||On my return for my second stay, I was booked the Family room; they had told me that was the only room available, with 2 double beds and an outside bathroom, so I would have to go outside my room, open up the lock on the bathroom to use it. They charged 5,000rs for the room, despite this inconvenience. ||As I was putting jam and butter from packets onto my two pieces of white toast, a cockroach came running out from under the other packets. I whacked it and bought it up the men working in the 3rd floor office. They didn't blink and eye or apologize. I also showed them the small cockroach floating in my teacup. "That is the tea leaves, Madam," said the head man. To prove his point, he emptied the larger container which contained the tea and poured the liquid out. There were no tea leaves on the bottom. I then took out the dead floating roach and smeared it on his hand. He told one of the workers to give me new toast and tea.||That night when I came back to the room, as soon as I sat down by the big dining table, I saw a cockroach climbing up the wall. I whacked it to save as proof. Then I whacked a smaller one crawling on the table. At this point, I had it and went upstairs to tell them I would be leaving in the morning. Again, not a word.||Essentially, the place is dirty and cockroaches are living in the hotel. It appears the workers (there are only men working there) don't wipe off the tables, the walls are in desperate need of new paint, the floors haven't been mopped in ages (I wiped the floor to retrieve the dead cockroach and the napkin was black) and the workers could care less.||I would encourage travellers to stay away from Bentleys Hotel because the rooms are not clean, the workers are not particularly friendly nor helpful and you are certainly not getting your money's worth. Backpacker Cowies around the corner on Walton St. has dorms and private rooms and they are much cleaner and friendlier, although of course, for the dorms, you just get a dorm bed, but it's only 1300rs.

Bentley’s Hotel in Churchgate is a charming stay with a prime location, spacious rooms, and a vintage feel, but it has a few downsides that travelers should consider. Location The hotel's biggest advantage is its central location. Situated just a short walk from Churchgate Station and Marine Drive, it provides easy access to key attractions like the Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, and Nariman Point. If you love exploring South Mumbai, this location is perfect. Rooms Unlike many budget hotels in Mumbai, the rooms here are surprisingly big, which is a plus. The hotel is housed in a 100-year-old heritage building, and the interiors reflect that. The furniture, doors, and decor have an antique touch, giving it a colonial-era charm. However, due to the age of the building, some areas might feel a bit dated, but that adds to the character rather than being a drawback. Service The staff is polite and helpful. They assist with luggage and provide guidance about the area. Room service is available for breakfast, but the options are limited. If you need anything, the reception is responsive, though service speed can sometimes be slow. Parking One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of dedicated parking. The hotel offers only street parking, which is extremely difficult to find in this busy area. If you're driving, be prepared to search for a long time or park far away. This can be frustrating, especially during peak hours. Value for Money For a budget hotel in such a prime location with large rooms and a vintage feel, the pricing is reasonable. However, the lack of parking and old building maintenance issues might not appeal to everyone. Overall Bentley’s Hotel is a great choice for travelers who appreciate spacious rooms, heritage architecture, and a central location. It’s perfect for tourists who want to explore the city and experience an old-world charm.

I am a frequent visitor of this Hotel. This small property has never disappointed me. It's a very good , clean, hygienic hotel located at the third floor of a residential building just opposite Marine Drive.||||It has different categories of rooms, I always stay in the Suite room and it is just outstanding. They have a lovely view of the sea. I can stay hours sitting at the balcony watching Marine Drive.||||The staff of the hotel is down to earth, starting from the reception, service staff, kitchen staff and everyone is always ready to fulfill all our requirements.||||They treat us like family, The interior of the hotel is very good, The cleaning and hygiene is top notch. The room has all the amenities, the breakfast they serve is mouthwatering. They don't have a restaurant so they served a complementary breakfast in the room.||||I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay option near Marine Drive or Church Gate.

This hotel is at a great location that you can imagine. Being in an ocean view room was fantastic experience. Only downside I saw way, couple of managers (not all) at counter show attitude to the guests, a bit looking down upon them. The way they answer simple questions by guests with some anger in their mind, tells that a good training is required. Senior management needs to look into this aspect. Managers need to understand if someone can afford those costly rooms, thinking and treating them as simple people who can take their attitude is funny. This happened to me and also saw happening to couple of other guests while I was sitting in the lobby. Other than that, the staff who brings breakfast, helps you with luggage etc, are really polite and humble.

The rooms are very small and not upto the mark. Bedsheets were okay okay washroom wasn't that great. The only perk is location. If you walk around you will find many other options as well. Service is good. But totally disappointed to pay such huge 3 star price for poorly maintained hotel.
