Went for drinks and had half roast maple pumpkin with a drink combo (C10). The dish was surprisingly good. It had a chilli kick which was quite 🔥. If you aren't into 🔥 food then might want to avoid this dish. Pearls were a little hard, which was the only down side. Also had chicken wings - avoid, they aren't good.

BentSpoke Brewing Co. is a vibrant spot in Canberra with a fantastic mix of great beer, food, and atmosphere. It works well whether you’re dropping by for drinks or a meal with family. 🍺 The beer list is extensive, with plenty of unique brews to choose from. Prices aren’t cheap, but there are nightly deals that make it more affordable, and the quality of the beer makes it worthwhile. 🍴 The food menu is broad and well put together, offering enough variety to pair nicely with the drinks. Portion sizes and quality were solid, making it a reliable option for both snacks and a full meal. 🙂 The staff were warm and welcoming, with one team member going out of his way to help us find the lift when I was managing a pram — a much-appreciated touch. Service felt attentive without being overbearing. 🪑 The space itself is stylishly decorated and has a lively, energetic vibe even on weeknights. With events on throughout the week, there’s always something happening, which keeps the atmosphere buzzing. 👶 Families are well catered for, with highchairs, a kids’ menu, and easy access via a lift to the upstairs seating area. It’s nice to see a brewery making the effort to be inclusive for all ages. Overall, BentSpoke is a spot I’d happily return to regularly.

Braddon Brew Pub has been a winner ever since I first came over a year ago. My partner and I have always enjoyed nights out here. The food is great, the music is great, the beers are fantastic, and its overall a great and relaxed vibe. Anyone visiting Canberra would be missing out if they didn't visit. If you are local and haven't been yet...why not? Obviously we love it here but it is genuinely a really great place to eat, drink and enjoy the best of company. If you are in Canberra and in the suburb of Braddon I highly recommend the Bentspoke Brewing Co. The best brewery I have seen which mixes steam punk fixtures and old fashion pub vibes. Try the wheat brew and Guiness equivalent of stout under the Bent Spoke Label. Non alcoholic beer options available too if you are teetotaller.

Possibly one of the best Breweries I’ve ever visited. Great menu and an extensive range of quality beers, heaps of seating and great service.

Great place to hang out with mates or a big group. They have a great variety of beers, and the upstairs area is awesome too. Definitely recommended.

Love visiting this place every time we're here. Great tasting paddles, friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Heaters just to make it all that more cosy.

What an absolute gem of a place for beer and food. My wife and I and our friends came for a beer and a feed today and we stayed for about 4 hours. I had 2 tasting paddles and 2 schooners and the beers were great. The food is so tasty and plentiful. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. The experience of going to the toilet was quite different and for those of us who grew up in the 70s/80s and watched Get Smart you would understand. If you could give more ⭐️ I would.

First off there is lots of seating at this place so check upstairs if it looks full at first. There is a treat selection of beers and also a few wines and non alcoholic bevvies so everyone should be able to find a nice drink. There weren't a ton of veggie options but I did really enjoyed the mushroom and beet sandwich-solid choice! The fries were nice and crispy on the outside/softer inside. Quick simple service and nice food. A good choice for a relaxing time. That said it can be a bit loud so maybe not best for deep conversation at a busy time!

We made reservations on NYE for 5:00pm for 7 people. Our table was ready when we arrived. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it! The decor inside was very cool & unique. There were heaps of beers to choose from. We ordered the fish tacos. They were DELICIOUS & full of flavor.

Great food, cold beer (get the Crankshaft!) and love the outdoor seating! Staff is friendly. We'll be back!

Great little micro brewery a short walk from our hotel. I had 2 sample bars which let me select from any of the beers. A massive selection. I wanted to keep on trying more but I had to be responsible. Be had some wings and chips and the portions were large. Well worth a visit! I'll be back

My only nit is the noise. The good news is its nearly impossible to talk so you must drink but you drink because you cannot hear anything without yelling! So we drink! That said, what a GREAT spot! Not only is the robust beverage menu crafty but the food here is delish too. There were several things on the menu sure to please any palate or interest! Service was well above my expectations. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable about their offerings (that doesn't happen everywhere!) and on top of customer needs - no question! If you're in this part of town, Bentspoke needs to be on your short list of places to get to!

Great pigs ear burger. The beer list isn't as extensive as I thought, but it is cold, fresh and pairs well with their yummy chips (fries in US-speak). No wifi, but the outdoor seating on a warm day makes up for it, along with the cheery staff.

Fun fact. Australia Day is also Triple J's Hottest 100 countdown, and in the craft beer world, it's the announcement of GABS Hottest 100 beers. Which came first? Music obviously. Located smack on the corner of in the Braddon hub of things; Bentspoke knows how to put on a party. For GABS Hot 100, they throw a massive event. Decorations are draped all over the venue, patrons fill the venue and it gets better. When they announce that one of their beers made the Hot 100 list, free shouts to all. First come, first serve of course. The beer is beautiful with so many choices. There's the standard pale ales and IPA's, but for the adventurous, they do have some fun experimental ones as well. Their food is pretty bomb as well. The space is beautiful to enjoy as the sun shines. It's very open, outside tables, "inside" is just their walls open to the chaos of the outside world. What is more to life than good beer and good food?

Very amenable and knowledgeable service, again. Always enjoy at least 2 visits to Bentspoke when we are visiting from Somerville, Vic. Really appreciated the two 10 packs deal too.

This gem of a meeting place is awesome. Great brewed beers, fantastic food and THE BEST staff in the capital. Yeah it gets noisy & crowded, yet kids, pets & patrons are always happy. Drop in and support this wonderful establishment. Cheers crew!!

I highly recommend this restaurant...and if you like beer it's a 'must go' in Canberra. I went with a large group. We each ordered the pre-set $30 aud menu. We were served more than eight dishes from fries and fish taco to calamari and chicken on a stick. Delicious!!! There was so much food! I stopped at the chicken on a skewer. And ladies, when it's time for you to go..... six stalls, for real

This is my go to brewery and when I come to Canberra. By far crankshaft is one of the best IPAs that I've ever had! Ryan is one of the great people that work here. The staff is extra friendly and the beer is amazing. Great outdoor seating, perfect for a socializing!

This place is AMAZING! They make a dozen or so beers IN HOUSE behind the bar and they're mostly amazing (I only tried four). The food was also excellent and the staff and vibe just excellent. One of my favourite Canberra drinking spots so far.

I'm a huge fan of beer. I'm a huge fan of cycling. I'm a massive fan of Bentspoke, every trip to the nation's capital I return with a case of tinnies safely tucked away in the boot & more often than not I'll drop into their pub to sample some of their beers that aren't available in cans or elsewhere. The food is perfectly matched for beer drinking. Mac n cheese balls have become a bit of a Canberra thing but Bentspoke's are the business. Only warning is it regularly gets very crowded & noisy but hey it's a pub what do you expect.

Serious beer brewed right here. Tasty food and great atmosphere. I love the beer sampler carrier. The chicken burger was great. For a Tuesday night, the place was hopping.

A Canberra classic, I think. Nice staff, great beers brewed on site and decent food to go with it. In terms of atmosphere it's probably more of a place for larger groups and loud conversations than anything intimate.

Nothing ordinary about the food. Nothing ordinary about the beer. Nothing ordinary about the staff and their friendliness and dedication to what they are selling. Nothing ordinary about the venue and it's decor. A wonderful place to while away an hour or full day.

Beer is outstanding, had six different beers and no complaints about any. As for the food, highly recommend the chips and wings. Both outstanding.

So many options!!! All kinds of beer and some cider and ginger beer too! Warm cider was perfect for the vil weather. These guys have put a creative spin on your everyday microbrew. The place was hopping tonight, was hard to find a table, but if you post up at the bar you can get lucky.

I didn't stand a chance with Bentspoke. C'mon, a brew pub that serves nothing but its own beers on 12 different taps? This place was made for me. And Bentspoke may have been a large factor in my decision to visit Canberra. A very large factor. The beer was impressive in variety and taste. I sampled four all together, from a farmhouse ale, to a pale ale, to a Belgium inspired red, to a raspberry infused wheat beer. I love that they use the beer (or beer ingredients) in their food menu, but that's also where this place stumbled for me. While the food was all good, the flavour combinations just didn't meld well for me. The grain crusted hot wings (giant "small" order $12) tasted too much like grain, and the tomato sauce coating (pasta like, not ketchup like) was a bit strange. Despite seeing tons of chili flakes, I also didn't feel much heat. The B-Ten brisket burger ($19) was let down by the barbecue sauce made from their own Braddon Bitter beer. Despite this, Bentspoke is a standout pub with a great vibe, knowledgable and friendly staff, and is definitely worth a visit for anyone who enjoys craft beer.

I didn't have any food here so the five stars is basically on the strength of how damn awesome the beer and staff are. One of the best brew bars I have been to hands down, indeed so good we visited twice in one day! With 18 beers and ciders on offer there is something for everyone and the staff will happily help you out and give you a taster to find the perfect something for you to settle down to nurse. There is also a raft of info on each beer on the menu and boards. The best thing about the place though was it seemed to be a pretentious and dickhead free zone. Craft and micro brewing is somewhat becoming tedious due to the people involved who seem to turn their nose up at anything that doesn't have the latest hops from Outer Mongolia grown by blind monks and give your Pale Ale an IBU of 20 billion. At Bentspoke you won't find this. It's simply great beer that's kept simple and cherished by the brewers.

Great beer. Excellent service. Can't hear a word anyone is saying. So incredibly loud. Even sitting outside. Not a place to have a conversation with your fellow "diners".

Bentspoke has become a Canberra institution and with good reason. Great place for Friday and Saturday nights out. Their in-house brews are the best in Canberra and the grill always hits the spot.

Only downside is when it gets busy it can be hard to hold any level of conversation below shouting Good food, good drinks - my go to place to take out-of-towners

Brewpub on the sidewalk with good food in Canberra near CBD. Extensive list of beers brewed on site, and decent menu of good food. Great find. Be warned, they're run out of stuff, both certain beers and food items. Come with an open mind and ask to the staff for alternatives, if your first choice doesn't work out.

Great beers, great location, great food. I love this place, and it is my go to for drinks with friends. Most of the beers I really enjoy, and the vibe of the place is awesome. Much better food than places in Kingston Foreshore. Bought a traveller which ensures I keep coming back for more and more beverages!

Decent beer with a good selection, typically pub food, loud enough you can't hold a conversation. What else do you need.

Very pleased with our experience here. The ginger beer is to die for and our group of four shared a number of appetisers and the wings- delicious food and so filling. Highly recommend for a laid back atmosphere and value for money.

My friend has a black pepper allergy. They were completely unwilling to accommodate. We were told everything on the menu contained black pepper including the cheese platter and the steaks they pull straight from the refrigerator without any seasoning. This is the only place I've been to that was unwilling to clean a pan so the food wasn't contaminated with pepper.

Nothing else to say but absolutely sensational beers, fantastic atmosphere, and fun, friendly staff. Do yourself a favour and get down here!

Great atmosphere. Had the mulled apple ginger which was great for a cold winter evening. The food was good too as the lamb burger was delicious. We dined upstairs and I enjoyed reading the posters there. One of them read "Beer! Because no great conversation ever started with salad.".

Great local beer & gourmet pub food in the city centre. It's in the new Habitat building. They sell beer brewed on location. Week one they had a limited menu but I can't wait to go back and try the full menu. Well done on opening a brave new venture in this location.

Superb ever-changing beer selection on tap. They have a take home 2l exchange plan or they even sell packs of cans (smaller selection). Oh, they do superb wings amongst other bar food!

Food, service and atmosphere was awesome, but the home brew is outstanding. An excellent variety of beers, plus a cider and ginger beer, made on the premises. Catered to large groups with fast service of food. Highly recommend. Will be back again.

When it comes to having a local brewery with interesting food options this is the kind of place to look for. Good range of beers with an option to take away some of them. Staff are always friendly. It can be hard to find a seat when the place is packed.

Usual trendoid establishment, overpriced everything, "craft" beer, which means they've done something fancy like put berries in it etc. I guess it's ok if you like weird beers but don't expect nice smooth to the pallet beers at this joint.

Known for their beer but the food is also outstanding. Almost 20 beers to choose from and extensive food menu with lots of options. Funky vibe in Braddon, close to the cbd with a nice outside patio. Well worth the visit.

Beer offerings are excellent, and the food is unique and delicious. Boyfriend had the Big Nut dark ale and loved it, I had the Brindabella Cider, the Big Nut, and some kind of raspberry wheat beer that I'm not seeing on the website's menu (it was bright pink, I loved it). What I liked about the cider was its aroma- it still has that fermented fruit smell and you can almost imagine that you can see the foamy evidence on top (you can't). The Big Nut has also got a thick, complex smell that is hoppy and malty and dark. For dinner we had the chicken burger and the mac and cheese balls, which was just enough for two people. 6 pints and two plates for just under $100- not bad! Clientele seemed disproportionately fancy for such a hipster place, so that was weird. Service is great and all the servers are really knowledgable about their beers, especially if you need a recommendation- or you can get a flight of 4.

Lots of choices for beer; glad to see they had a small selection of cocktails and wine for non- beer drinkers. Friendly service. Food left a lot to be desired. Ordered three mains and an entire; all were very bland overall. Best thing on the table was the cheese sauce for the chips. Would return for drinks but would go elsewhere for dinner.

Excellent beers! Crankshaft is an excellent IPA, and their stouts also always impress. The venue can feel a little clinical, and too brightly lit, but I for one am very glad to see another exciting food&drink business in Braddon.
