Bếp Quê

A Vietnamese friend brought us to Bêp Quê, and we cannot thank her enough for introducing us to truly authentic, aromatic, appetizing Vietnamese food. Bêp Quê is not the usual Pho restaurant—as evident from the mostly Vietnamese clientele. Some dishes served here are uniquely Vietnamese and have not been introduced to Americanized Pho restaurants. We shared several dishes. The broths were deep and ambrosial, the meats spicy and savory, and the vegetables fresh. Add the casual atmosphere and extremely friendly staff, and Bêp Quê becomes a fantastic experience for Vietnamese food connoisseurs or Asian food enthusiasts.

Decent Vietnamese food and fast. Great place to have a lunch and dinner with family. They serve fresh food and drinks. Easy to read their menu and the meal experience was decent. Come by and check it yourself. Definitely a good lunch food not too busy.

It was our first time dining at Bep Que. We ordered bot chien, bun rieu, and bun cha Hanoi. The bot chien was my favorite – so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The other dishes were just okay, as I’ve had better at other places. Still, the service was excellent and the ambiance was warm and pleasant.

This is a great spot for incredible Vietnamese food! The broken rice plate with grilled pork is top-tier, and they certainly don't skimp on the portions. Also, don't miss the fermented fish vermicelli soup—the broth is deeply flavored and absolutely tasty. With a welcoming atmosphere, it's a great local gem for a delicious and filling meal with family or friends.

Bep Que has a large space, cute decoration reminiscent of a Vietnamese country kitchen. The food comes out quickly, delicious taste. I ordered Bun rieu oc, Hu tieu and Bot chien. I like all the dishes, will definitely come back to try many other dishes.

You know this is authentic when we struggled a bit with the menu. Thankfully we were assigned someone who spoke English and was amazing. We had someone with peanuts allergies and he went back to check if they could make an accommodation. He was amazing and patient with us. Best of all, no peanut allergy reaction. We tried the spicy beef and cahn bun Oc and both had bold flavors. Make sure you add the shrimp paste that comes on the side. Both broths were sweet and savory and had an umami bomb. We added chilli to it and it took the soup to the next level. The Bun Nem Nuong Cha Gio was very fresh and the sauces complimented the dish. The menu has English descriptions for most of the dishes and Google translate can help there wasn’t pictures for each dish. However, I learned that next time is much better to look at all the dishes displayed in the TVs surrounding the dining room and point at the dish the looks the best. We went for a late lunch in a Saturday and it was 1/4 - 1/2 full. Plenty of space and the A/C was set perfectly for a bowl of comforting noodle soup.

Had spring rolls and usually I dont eat beef or pork, but it was pretty authentic, yall really need to replace the hot dog with bratwurst or smoked sausage tho and sell your vietnemese eggrolls separately, those were so bomb!

February 2025 So happy to find a great comfortable delicious soup noodle restaurant. I enjoyed the egg noddle soup with a refreshing tea. Having dirty tables were the only unpleasant experience while visiting. They should hustle and clean the dirty tables to ensure inviting and welcoming. A nice, roomy Vietnamese restaurant. I love most of the soup bowls they have there (specially Bun Mam and Bun Rieu). Their price is reasonable too, not cheapest but not as high like some others around.

Quick and fast, this place was a kind of in and out quick meal for us~. This vietnamese restaurant is different from the others that avoid serving the typical pho and bbh, and opt for different things like banh canh, bun rieu, canh bun, and hu tieu. Friendly, fast, and specialized. Nicely decorated restaurant. The drinks looked good too but we didnt get any because it was rather late.

This was my first time trying Canh Bun, and it was so so good! The broth was so flavorful and rich, and there was plenty of snail and water spinach to enjoy as well :) You can customize your bowl with the different sauces and pickled jalapeños and garlic they have at each table. Service was fast with free iced oolong tea, and the ambiance was a nice family vibe.

This is one of my favorite childhood dish. I finally found a restaurant where has this dish as authentic I as remember. The service is fast. Food came out hot. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. I will definitely be back.

Ok, I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now but held back bc the sketch looking plaza reminded me to only go during day-lit hours, preferably on a weekend. There is ample parking though, but visitor beware of crazy potholes. The food--was good. Not great, but good. It satisfied my needs for a good bowl of noodle soup with offerings aside from the typical Pho. I ordered the bún bò soup. (Not Hue style, but intestine). It was subtle, and tasty. For $14, I'd consider this good value. The service was good, attentive and nice servers and waiters. The restaurant wasn't that busy (I went at 5p dinner) but the wait was longer than expected. I didn't mind though, everything else was great.

Authentic much? If so then this is your spot. They have everything you don't traditionally see at a Vietnamese restaurant. Some of the highlights that were recommended by my gf that I would have to name off are the Com Tam and Hu Tieu. They were both SO good that I have been going back over and over for these two dishes and I have zero regrets every time. Some side notes are : The staff don't speak English so give them some grace and be patient. Their yogurt is really really good. If you go during dinner time it will be busy and service will be a little slow service. Make sure to pour some of the fish sauce over the broken rice, break the yolk, and try a bite. You won't regret it! Highly recommend. Just be ready to come back because you will definitely want to!

Bep Que stands out amongst all the Vietnamese restaurants in the area by serving something other than the usual pho and bun (vermicelli). My husband and I have been here 3 times already in the last month because their menu has so many different dishes that we want to try. I love Bep Que for being different. They also have a large condiment tray with fresh, sliced peppers and give out free iced tea which is already a win for me. The first two times we came here, we tried to order the banh beo but they said they didn't have any which was a little weird to us because if it's on the menu...why don't you have any during prime weekend lunch hour? We finally got it on our 3rd visit but thought it was just okay -- a little too chewy for banh beo but the taste was good. When it comes to appetizers I really like the banh bot loc (this is also the only thing we have ordered more than once). The xoi chien (fried sticky rice) is really interesting too -- I enjoy the crunch and it's not too oily. My only complaint with Bep Que is that during every visit, we always try to order something that they do not have available but it's fine because it gives us a chance to come back another time. My husband likes the com ga nha trang (rice dish with shredded chicken), bun dau mam tom (vermicelli noodle with fried tofu & shrimp paste) and the xoi ga xa xiu (sticky rice with roasted chicken and BBQ pork). I have tried the com dac biet (suon, bi, cha and lap xuong), bun cha ca, and hu tieu nuoc and thought they were all pretty decent.

Absolutely amazing menu options! I had the Bun Dau Mam Tom which was a huge portion with delicious fermented fish sauce. I brought home the Bun Mam, one of the best I have ever had. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere and set up was like a Vietnamese country Kitchen, just like the name. There's a huge visible stock pot with soup going and an assembly area. Snacks and candy were available for purchase as well. I brought some candy home for my family and they loved it. I would love to go back and try everything!

Overall I thought this place had decent food. All the dishes are a little too sweet to my tasting. They are very generous with their portions and meat portions as well. My favorite dish was probably the rice porridge because it was the least sweet dish. Service was good but food took a while to come out. The restaurant is cutely decorated. Would come back if friends wanted to try but I would probably not go out of my way to visit again.

This place has become one of my go to Vietnamese restaurants in DFW. The food is good, it's spacious, the decor is very viet like and the service is great! However, every single time I come.. they're out of something that I wanted to eat!! I've come here probably about five times now and 3/5 times they were out of banh beo, some stuff for the chao long, bánh bột lọc.. I wish they kept a bigger supply of food items so that they don't run out 3/5 times that I go. Other than that, this place is great! The banh beo is probably the best in town. The bun rieu is okay, I've had better. I do like the canh bún, bánh canh cua, hú tiếu khô and cháo lòng. The cháo lòng is a bit on the watery side, if you like it thick I wouldn't get it. The flavor of the cháo lòng is gooooood though. ORDER BANH BEO YOU WONT REGRET IT

Solid fresh vietnamese food! Service is quick and friendly. The bun mam is probably the best I've ever had. I'll be back to try other items. I know i can survive in Texas having this spot around. Pretty broad setting also the cafe is pretty good!

Friendly service and food was fresh! Good Bahn Mi Bo Kho ! Interior is clean and typical decor. Will definitely return. Prices were more reasonable than others in the neighborhood. Recommend!

Pictures on yelp really helped! Banh canh cua- fire! The broth was chef's kiss! 10/10 BBH- 8/10 Springrolls - sauce wasn't thick enough for my liking but not bad 8/10 The complimentary beverage- I wanna know what this is so refreshing! Can't wait to go back to try more items!

An authentic Vietnamese restaurant serving all the classic dishes. From bot chien to bun mam. A rare find in DFW. The restaurant is set up to resemble a street side restaurant in Vietnam. Free ice tea is offered at the table and price is very reasonable. The only let down is the lack of service and the time it took to get our food.

Cute and spacious place. The food ingredients are very fresh, I just hope the broth can be less savory. They also offer free ice tea that is so refreshing. May come back to try other things like Pha Lau, Canh bún,...service is okay.

Their bun rieu oc is good but the rice plate com tam was not. Pork was so tough! They sell snacks that im much more interested in. There are candy you can only find in Vietnam

Food: If you want Bun Mam (mien tay style) this isn't it.... I was rather disappointed but it's not their fault! It didn't say Mien Tay, it was my expectation. Service was fine, i didn't have any issues. My husband really liked the Hieu Tieu Mi Go.

The menu here has a different selection than your normal vietnamese place. I have never heard/tried bun dau mam tom before and so glad I got it here! My husband got a traditional rice platter but he said the fish sauce was the best one he ever had. They have a large selection of condiment at each table and even served pandan ice tea like how street vendors do in VN! We will be back to try other menu items!

I would have to give this restaurant a 3.5. I liked how it was open, welcoming, and clean! I know authentic places don't always keep up with the decor, cleanliness, etc. but this place was really clean. I ordered the soup they are best known for, the hu tieu, and it was pretty decent. However, I think they added to many extras meats and other items that changed the soup to make it taste like something else. It was not bad by any means. but if you're looking for the authentic soup I don't think this is the one. The staff was overall helpful and service was quick. I don't live close so not sure if I'll be back, but if anyone were to try it I'd recommend their rice dishes. A family member ordered a rich dish and it looked great!

I ordered some extra portions of some dishes and it took almost 30 minutes to bring out some damn fish

order cá kho tộ ở đây là các bạn sẽ bị đôn giá lên thấy sợ luôn để ăn 1 lần rồi khỏi có lần 2. order tuởng được y chang như dinning vậy mà có 3 miếng cá cùng dầu mỡ ngập ngụa. kinh dị luôn. vậy là scam khách hàng hay sao ạ?? ăn trong tiệm thì khác hơn togo hay sao ạ hay là được scam ít hơn ạ. ngày trước thường hay ăn ở đây bây giờ xin kiếu. cũng hiểu tại sao 2 tuần trước health department cho đóng cửa.

I enjoyed the bun oc (snail) from here. I'm glad to find amother restaurant that offers delicious Vietnamese food. Service is good. I was a bit worried of the sanitation of the condiments, so I stayed away from that. I like the decoration, kind of takes us back to Vietnam.

Clean & spacious; the menu looks awesome. The staff were cute in personality, cheerful and helpful. I already came back here 2 more times with my mom.

My family had late lunch here on Thursday 7/6/2023. The service was great and the food was delicious and flavorful. I will come back to try the Bun Mam. It's one of my favorite noodle soups, but I don't recommend it if you never had it before. It made with fermented fish and shrimps sauces. However, I dare those who like to take risk. I did and I was hooked! Haha

Cute little place. Services was good. We ordered pha lau,cơm tam,and hu tieu mì. The cơm and hu tieu was really good. Pha lau was meh,didn't really care for it. Will return to try other items. After returning,we were happy with other items on the menu. Cháo lòng,bún mắm,canh bún was delicious. Bún bò needs a little more lemongrass.

We're just coming here for friend reunion in Dallas..we're stopped by for lunch before we're heading to the airport..the reason we give to 1 star because all our orders were so bad taste..our bun bo Huế was so sweet and no taste of bun bo Huế at all..and we didn't like their services..we ordered com tam Bo suon and asked for a knife..it took 15mins to give it to us but it's a plastic knife..how come they gave us a plastic knife...it wasn't for to go..and took about 30mins for porridge...took a long time if you ask for something..we definitely won't coming back and not recommend for anyone..hopefully the owner will be better

Food and service were quick. Decent prices for the amount of food we had. Rau muong should be eaten fresh and hot. Don't take it home like we did. It won't taste as good.

I came here with my child. We sat and waited for 20 minutes, but no one came to greet us or bring a menu. The restaurant was almost empty, yet the two staff members (the female employee might be the manager or the owner) were just standing around, laughing and chatting. Only when I asked did the male staff member finally bring us a menu. When the female employee brought our food, she had an extremely unpleasant attitude. I came here to eat and pay properly, not to beg for food. The food quality is inconsistent--sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's bad. But the service attitude is absolutely terrible. Mình đến đây với con của mình. 2 mẹ con vào ngồi đợi 20' vẫn chưa có ai ra tiếp đón hoặc đưa menu. Trong khi đó quán đang rất vắng khách và 2 bạn nhân viên (bạn nữ có thể là manager hoặc chủ tiệm) đứng cười nói giỡn hớt. Đến lúc mình hỏi thì bạn nam mới tới đưa menu cho mình. Lúc bạn nữ ra đưa đồ ăn cho mình thái độ vô cùng khó chịu. Mình đến ăn trả tiền đàng hoàng chứ có đi xin đâu ạ. Đồ ăn tùy bữa. Lúc thì ok lúc thì dở. Nhưng thái độ phục vụ thì quá trời tệ.

My sister and I just left. I was excited to try this place because I've been craving banh beo for months. We got here around 11am and ordered (bun rieu, banh beo chen, and banh bot loc). My sister's order (bun rieu) came out fairly quickly (about 10min). I waited...and waited...and waited. Other tables around us were getting their food, finishing, and leaving. 45min passed and my sister finished her food. At this point I was getting upset because I saw another table that had gotten there 20min after us get their order of banh beo. We went up to the counter and told them the issue and to just cancel the rest of our order. There was no apology or even offer to rectify the problem. I will not be coming back here or recommending this place.

Service was horrible. Bun bo hue was too sweet and bun rieu had no bun rieu flavor at all. It seems like it was an old batch and the noodles have been soaked in the bun rieu for a while. The vermicelli noodles in the bun rieu were orange. Noodles don't turn orange from sitting in the broth for a few minutes. Banh bot loc was not hot and fresh like before. They make a big batch and let it sit. Served cold.

Really authentic vietnamese food. If you want something else aside from pho and explore other complex vietnamese flavors, this is the place to go. The soups are lesser known vietnamese noodle soups but are definitely worth having. They are traditional and done right. From flavor to the right ingredients, it was on point. Will return.

My absolute favorite go to place for bun rieu!! Their rieu itself is so delicious and big! Spring roll (goi cuon) was fresh and delicious. I will say, I wish their peanut sauce was just a tad thicker

I found this restaurant randomly on Yelp looking for canh bún. The broth is full of flavors without being too overwhelming. Even the noodles have the color that it's supposed to. I ordered bún mắm to go as well and that was also super delicious! This restaurant is a MUST TRY if you love Vietnamese soup! Can't wait to try more of their food.

Being from Houston I am spoiled with good Vietnamese food but Omg the food is so good here. I got the banh canh cua and added escargot, the bread with the meats and egg, my husband got the com tam with everything. The fresh coconut drink is good too and the complimentary tea was nice and fragrant. I wanted to try the shrimp dumplings and the sticky rice with meat but it wasn't ready yet (she said is ready in later in the afternoon and we did come a little early around 11). We will have to back to try those two dishes but so glad we came and found a good authentic Vietnamese place.

Inside is very clean and comfortable. About food, the taste is nothing for complaining. They are so delicious and fully. Highly recommended!!!

Hu Tieu and banh bot loc are good. Bo bia is a huge missed with dry banh trang and basically not done correctly. It's a short cut to include what's inside bo bia, without much preparation. Ingredients are supposed to be sautéed first before wrapping. Also xoi ga isn't good. This place is probably good enough for lunch but not for a satisfying dinner. Service is typical of a Vietnamese restaurant, ok but no ace here.

Yelp you really led us astray here. I could tell by the pictures this was not your typical Vietnamese restaurant so I was excited to try new foods not pho or banh mi. The pictures looked generally good but it was definitely a fast education on what to order - we essentially settled on 4 things - tapioca dumplings, green papaya salad, and chicken and rice dish and a crab soup with thick noodles. The dumplings had some shrimp in them but literally half still had the some shell - and this was probably my favorite dish. The roasted chicken looked like it had been cooked a while ago and had way too much sugar. The soup had sparse amounts of crab, was tomato based and had some unidentifiable things in it we just removed. Literally left most dishes untouched and only finished the green Papaya salad - I'm sitting on the toilet now one hour later writing this. On top of this they let several homeless people inside the restaurant wander around asking for money. It felt like homey but not elevated food - just no desire to ever return here.

Newly opened place, super cute decor inside and fairly clean. Sugarcane drink was so good! Portions are HUGE for the cheap price. Broth is flavorful and does the job if you're ever craving it. Wouldn't say it's the best but definitely worth a try and coming here! Key highlight is the sugarcane juice and how much of a bang for your buck it is.

Pretty good Vietnamese food. Its hard finding some of these dishes that BQ has around the DFW area. Brought my parents here, they raved about the Chao Long (rice porridge), it'll be their go-to spot now for Chao. It was piping hot too!. Service was quick to take your order and bring out food. Only thing I would say is that the employees here skew on the younger side and don't really know how to manage time. We were there for about an hour. When we first walked in, one side of the restaurant was filled with tables that weren't cleaned up (people ate & left, haven't been flipped for new guests) including 2 large 10-top tables. We ate there for an hour, paid our bill and those two 10-tops still weren't cleaned up. It would be one thing if they didn't have employees or short-staffed, but there were plenty of employees, one younger male server even sat at a table near us and took a nap.

I found a long hair in chao long. Wanted to throw up. Hope the owner notice and improve it

We loved the food and ambiance here. The Hu tieu go, shrimp dumplings (banh bot loc), grilled meat (com tam) and sticky rice with ham, etc were absolutely delicious. We are always on the lookout for Vietnamese food that's not the usual pho and bun Bo hue, so we're excited that this restaurant offers other things but they're also delicious as well! Eager to try the Chao long next - the pic looked delicious! They just opened a month ago, and I'm happy we decided to give them a try!

My flight to Dallas brought me, which was the first restaurant I visited when I arrived. The food was delicious and the space was beautiful. The staff was very helpful as I was a first-time visitor. However, there was one funny thing that happened. The girl at the next table ordered "Bún mắm but no mắm". This made me laugh because it's like ordering a smoothie but asking for no fruit.

Newer restaurant with a limited menu of not as common Vietnamese dishes. They have street food like picked chicken feet in lemongrass citrus as well as noodle bowls and fun drinks. We got the chicken feet that were addicting, canh bun (I forgot to ask for oc), bun mam, and hu tieu. They were all so good with all the right accoutrements. Instead of water, they served a pandan tea that was nice and refreshing. Would definitely go again!

First time to eat in. Good in food and service, I rated excellent and recommend to anyone. Thank you.

Ở đây hủ tiếu ngon quá trời luôn, mùi như đang ở VN thật sự. Mấy món còn lại ko có gì xuất sắc lắm. Hy vọng bếp đầu tư thêm về món hủ tiếu . Sau này ra thêm hủ tiếu sườn hủ tiếu hải sản các thứ Đặt biệt là like cái trà đá free ở đây

Nice and clean place. The food is decent and tasty. When you get in, they will have a big jar of tea for chilling down. That is a big plus.
