I have to have tools for the job, and Beplat Hardware True value in flushing queens had what i needed. The owner was very awesome and help me get the bear minimum as what I could afford at the time. They have other selections pick and choose.🔧🔨🗜🛠🪛🧰⚒️

I needed motor carbon brushes and couldn’t wait for shipping. I stumbled upon this place and found a whole box of different sizes. I finally found the one I was looking for. The place had an old-fashioned hardware shop feel, which gave me a nostalgic sense of how everything has changed. Despite its small size, it had a lot of variety.

The stuff in the store is extremely expensive, 2 or 3 times more than Home Depot.

Do not go here unless it’s an emergency. The owners are so rude! They need to take a customer service course. They are overpriced and the place needs a deep clean cleaning. Everything is dusty. Stay away!

I normally don't write reviews but my experience here was appalling. The prices are greatly inflated, and much higher than other hardware stores such as Home Depot. The customer service is not only slow but also terrible. For a 1 1/2" PVC pipe, I was originally quoted for $0.95 per foot. After confirming the pricing and having the piping cut to my specifications, I was upcharged at the register at $4.00 per foot. Claiming that I was misquoted, and that I had to buy the pipe because it was already cut, I decided to buy the pipe. If this was a simple pricing matter, I wouldn't be bothered. However, the lady at the register was extremely rude and unprofessional. She started raising her voice and gave a nasty attitude. What's worse is that she wrongly assumed that I didn't understand Korean, and starting speaking badly about me in Korean under her breath and to the male worker that was next to her. Mixed in with the insults were racist remarks. I am confident that if she were aware of my fluency in Korean, she would not have said those words.

Great hardware store with easy parking. Was promptly greeted and asked if I needed assistance. I handed him 2 keys I needed duplicates made (2 of each) and they were ready before I grabbed a tube of caulk I was also purchasing. I also inquired about pipe cleaners which my wife texted me to get and the gentleman returned with a plastic handled spout brush, thinking it was not what I needed. Well, I took it anyway cause I wasn't actually sure what my wife needed for. Turns out it was exactly what she wanted so she could clean the tea kettle spout. Lucky me! Anyway, back to the store. This place has just about anything. It's not set up in an easy way for you to find everything, but their system of having all hands on deck eager to get it for you is flawless. Great hardware store I highly recommend. I only wish it was close to my house as I would frequent this place weekly probably. I only found it due to working at an apartment nearby. I may just take the drive if need be. By the way, our new keys worked the locks with no issue.

This place is unorganized and dirty. The owners are so rude. Don't expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. I think the owners are just miserable and taking it out on their customers. Go there only if it's an emergency. They're very overpriced. Stay away!

Very time I go here they give out the worst customer service to ppl. Not just me but also to others. Most important aspect of a business is customer service. Always have an attitude towards other customers! They always seem annoyed when I ask questions or when others ask also.

Bad attitude, high prices. Go here only for emergencies but you're better off doing business with other hardware stores or Home Depot.

This place is great! Service is fantastic. Quick in and out. No nonsense. Definitely must try this local hardware store.

lived and worked within walking distance of this store since I was a kid. I have seen the ownership change hands a few times. for years I stopped shopping here. so today I needed a few tubes of caulking, I walked in and got 3 tubes of caulked marked $3.99 on the shelf with an old label and a new one clearly marked, $6.99 each was the price they wanted to charger me for each tube, I showed the person that it was $3.99, he then turned away and starting walking to the back to scold the stock person for putting the wrong price on the item, when I repeat again the price was clearly older that the stock on the shelf. The unprofessional attitude of the staff and the unwillingness to honor a clearly priced item. is the reason I will never shop in this place ever again. I refused to pay the price they wanted and I left. running a business myself and working in local hardware stores in the area for most of my carrier I can honestly I have never seen a retailer act this way not just to a customer but the staff. I hope the next owner will understand why the reputation of this store is tarnished. so long I will never step-foot in this place again.

Used to be a good hardware store but not anymore , the owner is so greedy and has increased the stuff way too much . Not going there anymore , tried Flushing hardware on 161st so far way better than Beplat

Horrible service . Won't ever go back. Called ahead for specific item they tell me they have it, drive 30 minutes there and When I arrive they don't have it. Try to sell me something else.

Nasty, terrible owners. Always met with an attitude when I go here. I am the first person to want to support local mom and pop shops but they seriously need to not make me turn away due to their TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER. Do you realize it is much easier for me to go to one of the big box stores for my needs?! It certainly would NOT be acceptable to treat a customer with such rudeness and blatant RACISM there. I was in line after a white customer. He got the royal treatment and when it was my turn (I'm NOT WHITE) I was met with negative attitude and comments about how "if I help you, you need to pay for that" and "I'm not going to take it back if you can't do it." Of course, I'm here to buy the damn thing, I'm asking if you have it in the size I need! I would suggest you bypass this place. It's one of those places that deserve to go under because they don't understand that customers are their lifeblood and should be respected, NOT ABUSED.

Terrible manners. I went to return an item and when I asked for a receipt the owner cursed at me in front of customers.

The amazing variety of tools and hardware available in this store is hard to believe given its size. They still do things that are nearly extinct in hardware stores today (e.g., cut and thread pipe, sell you one screw). They have been in business for more than 100 years, and owned by the same hardworking family for more than 25. The owners and staff are both very friendly and very knowledgeable. Most of their customers seem to be tradespeople who are regulars (which tells you something right there) but they are patient with newbies and never try to sell you what you don't need. I've lived in Queens all my life and they are the best hardware store I have ever found anywhere in the city. They are a true credit to the community.
