Beppu Tower

This is a fantastic place to drink at night. They sell alcohol at the observation deck on the 17th floor, and there are tables and benches around the floor at which you can drink. A VIP view for drinking at convenience store prices.

Beppu Tower is truly one of the iconic landmarks of Beppu. Even on a rainy or foggy day, the atmosphere around the tower is incredibly romantic and mysterious. At times, it appears to glow in shades of pink, and other times it looks purple, giving off a nostalgic Showa-era vibe that’s both charming and slightly surreal. Originally built in 1957, Beppu Tower was designed by the same architect who designed the famous Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka. Standing at 100 meters tall, it served as a symbol of Japan’s postwar optimism and development. Though modest in size compared to modern towers, it still holds historical and emotional value for locals and visitors alike. Admission to the observation deck is around 800 yen,especially if you’re looking for something a little nostalgic and off the beaten path in Beppu.

What you need to know: •Fee 800Yen at 17th floor. •Location This sits right at the corner of the street, not hard to find. It’s a good 9 min walk from Beppu station. •View I have not been to the Global Tower but this seems to be a better option since it has 360-view and you will see the smokes from a distance and the mountain view and ocean. You can see suspended bridges that connect mountains. Will be great at sunset and evening. I came here when it’s cloudy. •Time The museum closes admission at 4:30pm, so visit this first. The tower is open until 9pm •Food and Nearby spots there’s a beach park behind and a easy to spot yakiniku restaurant. :)

Nice view during the day. Friendly people. Lots of unique souvenirs for Beppu. You can use their binoculars for a fee to see closer.

It's worth a visit there is a place that you can sit and eat inside the stamp of the tower is also available if you are collecting ahha. It's not crowded and you have an amazing view of the hells and the city and the sea. The price if admission is acceptable. And it's two flowers. And you directly go to the tip from the entrance.

Beppu Tower is an iconic landmark in the city of Beppu, so I had to go to the top. Whilst it's not as tall as some of the other towers of Japan, Beppu's views are stunning. You've got the sea, the city and the mountains, all in one view. There are plenty of benches and places to sit, as well as a small gift shop, vending machines, and claw machines. The staff were very friendly. On the lower floor, there was also a space walk area, and a floor piano section which was fun. I got tickets for Beppu Tower included in my Beppu Excursion Pass, though you can also buy a ticket at the tower itself via a vending machine.

Good place to experience a high rise view of the city! Not the biggest place ever but i enjoyed the neon lights and view there!

We are staying in the capsule hostel in beppu tower and it is so lovely. Very modern clean and staff are very helpful. We had a sauna and jacuzzi with incredible views! Highly recommend this place. It was spacious with very comfortable beds. Couldn't have found a better place to stay!
