Beqa Lagoon Resort

Kate and I had a great trip. We went for the diving and it did not disappoint, the reef was vibrant with hard and soft corals and a great variety of fish and critters. The night dive was awesome(thanks Jerry) and the main attraction, the shark dive with tigers, bulls, lemons and tawny nurse sharks really felt like a privilege to be there. Well managed by the boat and dive crew, great shark knowledge from Brandon and the video taken by Nix was better than our own stills and video grabs. Many thanks for the memory. Fellow divers were also great company. On shore, everything felt so relaxed. All the staff led by Filo were really welcoming and friendly, the food was great, accommodation clean and spacious and the daily cultural activities genuine and entertaining. We'd love to go back one day with our boys.

Our stay at Beqa Lagoon Resort exceeded our family’s expectations. The staff with Filo at the lead was outstanding responding to every request that we made. Our beach front burrs were great. A patio with a plunge pool for each room with beautiful views of the lagoon, king beds plus an additional bed for our granddaughter. Lounge space in each room and plenty of space to unpack and settle in for the week. The grounds are lush and immaculate. Food was delicious, and beautifully presented. Plenty of choices over the course of the week. The lamb and fish dishes were especially good. We were celebrating my 80th and our son’s 50th birthdays. One evening we were surprised with happy birthday decorations at our table at dinner and a beautifully decorated cake. Best of all was the staff singing happy birthday wishes. Local music and singing was especially appreciated during various time during the week. ||We didn’t dive but the reports from the divers said each site was top notch. We snorkeled and it was perhaps the best we have experienced and we’ve been many great places. The soft coral heads that you could easily swim to from the resort beach were teaming with life, beautiful with varied coral, a large variety of fish and other sea life e.g., octopuses, anemones, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, star fish etc. We also went on two guided reef snorkel trips that were great especially the one that Jay led. We also did the mangrove kayaking, the Secret Isand outing and the visit to the village school. All were well executed and fun! Filo made arrangements for us to go on an all day river rafting trip on the Upper Navua River. We highly recommend this adventure which goes through an amazing canyon as beautiful as any we’ve seen ( and we’ve river rafted a lot). Moses was our guide. He was fun and provided us lots of interesting information! ||In closing, thanks to Beqa Lagoon Resort for a memorable family vacation!

This place is top notch! I am already trying to get reservations for next year. The dive crew is amazing. Gun was our dive leader and he did a fantastic job showing us all the cool stuff. Suli was another dive guide on our boat (Thresher) he was ready at all times to lend a hand if needed. The resort staff is unmatched, they treated us like family the whole time we were there. I can't wait to go back.

We had the most incredible time at Beqa Lagoon Resort! All the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the rooms were stunning and the twice daily turn down service was a treat, the food was incredible, there were so many activities put on for the guests (school/village visit, fire ceremony, cooking show etc.), the spa was fab, and the whole atmosphere was just so wonderful and intimate. ||We did our PADI open water diving course here and we're so glad we did! We had Suli as our instructor and honestly we could not have asked for a better experience!! He trained us so well and efficiently that we were able to go for a reef dive and even swim with the sharks the day after qualifying - what an experience and we felt so safe with Suli, thank you! ||We couldn't recommend Beqa Lagoon Resort more (even if we'd like to reserve this slice of heaven for ourselves!).

If you want a place to go where you will be treated like family, where everyone knows you by name, where you can experience authentic Fijian culture, Beqa Lagoon Resort is the place for you. I cannot name everyone who took care of us, but Filo, Tebuna, Soko, Tusi, Ruca, Selema, Delana, Zack, and Jay made us feel so welcome. I brought my daughter and my husband here for a week, and we were truly sad to leave. They treated my daughter like she was one of their own. The food was incredible every day. The snorkeling in front of the resort was great for my daughter. The diving was some of the best I have experienced. The coral reefs are bright, healthy, and PACKED with a variety of fish. We saw white tipped sharks, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, spotted eagle rays, turtles, octopus, just to name a few. The Cathedral Shark Dive is not to be missed and mind blowing!! The tiger sharks are massive! The dive guides do a great job with safety and making sure the sharks are respected. Their focus is on the shark conservation in which they have a great briefing about it between dives. If given the opportunity with our busy lifestyle, I would definitely love to come back.

What an amazing place to escape the hustle and bustle of life. We were welcomed with the staff singing to us. The staff made a point of remembering our names. We truly felt at home while there. The entire resort was very clean and relaxing. I am gluten free and never had a problem and always left the table stuffed. The dive shop was amazing. They made sure we saw all the things we could. I highly recommend this resort for escaping the world and scuba diving.

Went with a dive group. This is the second time I have been to Bega Lagoon Resort. The last time was more than 14 years ago, however.||The food, service, and accommodations are wonderful. The Fijian people are very friendly and welcome visitors to their island home.||The diving is great. The shark dive is a must!

Very nice resort with mostly modern amenities. Very comfortable accomodations and professional dive operations. Shark feeding dive were as advertised with large Tiger Sharks arriving at The Cathedral.
