Berberè Pizzeria San Frediano

As we were staying directly opposite, this Bebere became a home from home. Little did we know it was such a destination pizzaria too. Our first stop was just for a cold beer and sparkling lemon juice in the afternoon, and we were welcomed to sit outside and soak up the atmosphere. Then our next experience were delicious takeaway pizzas - do get the extra tomato sauce to dip. And lastly, our last night when we were greeted like family, favourite drinks remembered and the most delicious pizza devoured. Wonderful atmosphere with tables filled with a variety of dinners from single diners, couples, families to groups of teens. I'd recommend to book for evening dining.

Spacious pizza place with a nice selection of pizzas, appetizers and deserts. We had the Bologna and the Margherita. The Margherita was the winning choice however the Parmesan cheese baked into the crust of the Bologna, with the Mortadella on top, was also very good.

Berbere is awesome. They opened a second location near Santa Croce but this spot is still my favorite even if it’s further away for me. Quality ingredients and pizza. This is one of my favorite pizzeria’s in Firenze. The owners are two brothers from Calabria and I like supporting them as well.

The lighting in this place is not very nice, not cosy at all. We came here because it seemed to get a lot of good reviews but frankly we were dissapointed by the quality of this pizza. Too much semolina it seemed, and overall not the best sourdough i have eaten in italy nor europe.

On a hot Florence evening, this was exactly the right choice — the montanarine (tomato with Parmigiano and the prosciutto with burrata) were flavorful and satisfying without feeling too heavy, and the tiramisù was light, creamy, and the perfect finish. My server was kind and attentive, helping me choose just what worked best in the heat, and I left feeling content and refreshed.

It was our first night in Florence and this was exactly what we needed. The pizza was amazing, the portion was just right and the personnel was really kind and welcoming

Delicious pizza. Super good prices for food and drinks. Great service. Don't miss it if you have it nearby. We walked a bit to this location and don't regret it a bit :)

This was the best pizza I have ever had in my life. We loved it so much, we went twice in our trip. A lot of times with artisan pizza, the middle just isn’t quite baked all the way through and is a little soggy. But this pizza had a thick sourdough crust and was perfectly baked all the way through. I highly recommend the Bologna pizza, which pretty much had hash browns on it and was topped with mortadella. Fantastic. Anybody looking for good pizza in Florence should definitely make an effort to go here. I recommend going right when they open, especially in the evening, as seats seem to fill quickly!
