Bergamo Cathedral

A beautiful cathedral with a stunning neoclassical interior in white and gold. It feels much brighter and calmer than the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The crypt and the Chapel of the Crucifix are definite highlights and should not be missed. Entrance is free

We were here 10h morning, Tuesday, January, so there was only a few people, I believe I could feel the ancient spirit of old Europe. Calm, charming atmosphere, it feels like a place where the Renaissance era was born. (FYI: renaissance era was born in Florence)

Fine design has no age, this cathedral is the proof, although it's not very big, from the moment you step in, details and colors arise. At least every visitor in Citta Alta should step in for a visit.

Great architectures and super vibes. One would find super nice pizzas, local style pastas and of course ice creams.

This is one of my favourite cathedrals to have ever visited. I could have spent hours sitting observing every little detail here. It is a beautiful place to visit. It is absolutely stunning. Bergamo is a beautiful town to visit

Quite plain on the outside but rich in decoration in the interior. The Crypt area is very interesting and a must see when you visit. There are a few mini chapels off to the sides, so make sure you visit those also. As always with these Italian Cathedrals the floors and ceiling is incredible. The church is free to enter.

Beautiful baroque cathedral. Came here while rehearsal for big mass. I found a chapel of holy cross very beautiful. There is a painting of Christus taking off the holly cross and in the dome painting Christus is painted with the cross and Father God and Holly Spirit as Holly trinity. There is also small and hidden Stations of the Cross, carved in marble. The cathedral has also a crypt, but was not accessible at the time of visit.
