The incredibly rude waitress, a woman with short gray hair, started making faces and snorting after we placed our order of coffee and fries, as if we'd done something wrong. I thought it might be because we hadn't ordered a typical dinner, but after looking around, I realized everyone was just drinking coffee or alcohol, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The hotel itself is great, majority of the staff are very welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Though there are a few not so accomodating to english talking guests.. Nonetheless, the hotel deserves 5/5 rating. Perfect stay. However, when it comes to self-service restaurant (that is part of the same location), it's really disappointing. The food quality was horrific and a bit shocking.. In hopes to wash away terrible taste of the dish, we asked if it would be possible to get a glass of simple water. Staff said, buy a bottle of water from fridge.. Somehow expected water in a glass to be an option for on the spot dinning, even if it's just tap water. Doesn't seem sustainable as well to waste a plastic bottle for it. Some bistro restaurants manage to do better.. Can not recommend using the self-service restaurant. Some staff is simply repelling guests from usage of their facilities.

If the weather is good, this is exactly where you want to be. Stunning mountain views right from your bed and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The staff are genuinely kind and make you feel very welcome. Breakfast is fresh and filling, a great start before a day in the mountains. Excellent value for money in a breathtaking location.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⛰️ A crisp alpine breeze greeted me the moment I arrived at 2,225 m—pure serenity. The gondola drops you right here, and the views from the sun terrace are impossible to forget. Simple, hearty food, cozy rooms, and a playground if you’re with family. Peaceful, scenic, and full of charm.

Well located. Cable access. Beautiful surroundings, but hit or miss depends on the weather. We'll prepared breakfast. Good selections of dishes for dinner. Enjoyed staying!

Had a great stay here. The location is incredible and so much better than staying down in Grindelwald town. You have access to hiking trails, and after 5pm when the cable car closes the hotel and grounds are so empty and peaceful…you have the whole mountain to yourself! The staff were very nice and dinner at the restaurant was good. The rooms are simple but very clean.

I have a great stay here! After 18:00, not many people here because the lift stops, and becoming so peaceful and beautiful! Restaurant is good as well, I rate 4 stars for food (slightly expensive)

I had the best fries in all of Europe at this spot—crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. I’ve truly never had fries like this before! The restaurant itself was spotless, with a wide variety of delicious food and drink options to choose from. What makes this place extra special is the breathtaking view of the Alps. It’s the perfect setting to enjoy a meal with your loved ones—peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
