We had a great stay! Rooms are rustic and quaint. No central heat but we were provided with hot water bottles and warm blankets. We stayed warm on a night when it snowed! Water is for washing and there are water bottles for purchase for drinking. Dinner was warm and very good! Views alone are worth 5 stars!

I had a lunch here on a warm and sunny day, Rösti and a couple of alcohol free beers. The meal was delicious, view fantastic, two hostesses quite welcoming.
PS: on the top of drinks card they list all the snow capped peaks you see in front of you.

I came here about a year ago and it was Terrible. There’s a massive vicious dog and about 5 months ago it attacked a blind lady’s guide dog and the staff was defending the vicious dog. Horrible and ignorant staff. I recommend not to bring dogs or small children!!!

Great view. Tasty food. People with lower review should take into account that the restaurant operates at 2670m. Some menu was not available but because of the end of the hiking season.
Very good coffee :)

Unleashed highly reactive dog that attacks your dog unprovoked! ||If you love your dog, I would recommend any other hotel. This place calls itself " pet friendly " but it will only put your pet or even child I'm danger||||Locals and the owner just make excuses, next it could be a child. Please don't go here

This is the highest mountain inn in Europe, so very old and historic. We have stayed in many mountain huts over the years and were prepared for only cold water sinks due to its mountain top location in a limestone area. However, our big surprise was that our room was separating from the hallway so it felt like a funhouse— legs of the furniture up on blocks of varying heights. Toilets down the hall, of course, clean linens provided, and good dinner. A typical mountain hut with grand views, but needing an influx of cash.

I took the walk from First. Really enjoyed the great views and the hospitality of the staff. It was a cold day in august with snow bit the warmth of the hotel made a lot of difference. Looks like a very good place to stay on a multi day trip in the mountains.

Ignorant staff. A blind lady's guide dog was attacked by the owners aggressive unleashed dog, she could've at least gotten an apology! NOT pet friendly!
