Nice mid size museum. Very high quality artifacts and artwork. Took me around 1-2 hours to look at everything. Entry costed $20 and I paid at the door, no reservation required. Great little aquarium section with fine assortment of tropical fish and animals. Highly recommend.

This little museum packs a mighty punch. There is a lot to explore here! An aquarium and reptile center, which is kept beautifully clean and cared for. An art wing with paintings, sculptures and photographs. A bit of history about the area and they people that accomplished such wonderful things and so much more. The grounds were quaint, the museum staff were lovely and the exhibits were spectacular. Take your whole family and head over, it is a wonderful afternoon out!

Nice local museum with a good variety of exhibits. The aquarium in particular is very nice for a museum of this size. It's fairly small and mostly geared to kids, but it's good enough to keep the adults entertained as well. The $15/adult price is a bit high if you are visiting without kids, as you can get through the whole thing in about an hour. But if the price doesn't bother you it's well worth the visit.

This is a wonderful community museum. Kids (and some adults) love the natural history gallery and the camps, aquariums, and classes. There are usually special exhibits for the large number of adults who visit during the spring and summer. This summer (2024), there are two great exhibits that focus on women. One, "Women in Space" took us from the first woman, who in 1912, flew the first loop the loop, through Amelia Earhart to the pioneers of the US Space Program (see photos). The other special exhibit, "Black Women as Muse" presented some beautiful, Black x White photographs of Black women from all walks of life (see photos).

Great museum. Small aquarium downstairs with an active snake too. A mummy talk was quite informative. And my 6 year old enjoyed the origami and other things geared to her age...and he under the sea christmas tree themed exhibit.

Great local regional museum when you are in the area. Perfect for elementary school kids. Lots of local information. Beautiful aquarium in the basement. Budget 1-2 hours. Street parking only. Very friendly staff!

Half the museum seems to be closed for changing exhibits. Wish that was posted somewhere. Natural science all closed and other places closed off. Aquarium and reptiles exhibit made me sad. They had such small cages with sparse plastic plants and mulch for living space. Some fish and reptiles were not in their glass cages - died? Out for vet appointments? We’ll never know. The blue tongued skink had a sore on its mouth it kept scraping against the ceramic bowl as it marched constantly in circles around its cage. We were pretty sure one of the sea horses was dead as we did not see it move or breathe every time I came back- I was spellbound just watching the others writhing on the floor of their aquarium- they were twitching and moving erratically around the aquarium or laying on the gravel floor I could have done without seeing all of this. The mummy exhibit was the most interesting of anything in the art exhibit. It seems like a building this huge and modern looking could offer so much more. The third? Floor was just a huge empty space of nothing. A couple pieces of furniture w not much information about them. Strangely there is one huge dinosaur statue on the front lawn not native to the area but none others inside. Indicating promise of something interesting inside but don’t be fooled.

Awesome mix. Aquarium on the bottom floor was great, along with the rock and mineral section. Ancient History Replica art/sculptures, ancient zoology, early technology innovations and more... Great place for those who gently respect and appreciate museum artifacts. If your kids are wild then might not keep their attention;)
