Berlenga Grande Island

Awesome island spot to visit. Catch a ferry from Peniche over and spend the day hiking the cliffs, fort, or tours and rental kyaks. There's restaurants at the marina and fort for food and drinks.

Beautiful island. 20 minutes away from Peniche if you take the speedboat. We were dropped at the fort where we started a glass boat tour through the caves. Which give you some nice views. After that we started to walk the island from the fort to the small beach. It is not a big walk. But small and steep paths. I liked it. The beach is not big at all, but has a very nice view. We spend around 4 hours on the island, and could see everything. Thanks #feelingberlenga for the nice trip.

This is a wonderful place, I recommend it for walking and visiting caves. It was very beautiful!

Incredible experience me and my kids won’t soon forget. Bring a beach towel and swim in the crystal clear waters.

we had a wonderful sunny day. the island is untouched apart from the lighthouse, the harbor and the fortress. the island is popular with fishermen and tourists. Clean sea and fresh air.

We took a fast boat ride (20 mins)from Peniche to Berlangas Island. If you have sea sickness I'll highly recommend a fast boat ride (pick a seat behind). The Island has more seagulls than humans, hike trails, cafes, boat cruises around the caves, kayaking, diving spots, and of course you can swim. The view is absolutely breathtaking. It could be a perfect date if your partner is an adventure junkie ⚡
