Genuinely interesting and well curated. The focus on photography and contemporary visual culture makes the exhibitions easy to engage with, even if you’re not deeply into art. I was positively surprised by the experience and would definitely come back for future exhibitions.

Went on Thursday ~3pm so it wasn’t busy. Bring a €1 coin for the locker downstairs, but they also have one at the front if you forget. Explored the Close Enough exhibit featuring 12 female photographers from Magnum. I recommend bringing headphones to listen to the audio portion where the artists talk more about their project. There’s also other exhibits upstairs with environmental themes. Spent a good three hours going through both floors, but I really enjoyed reading the descriptions so you could probably do it all in 1.5h if you’re mostly looking at the pretty pictures. Then I spent almost another hour in the gift shop. They have an amazing selection of interesting photo books, lots of them featuring the artists from present and past exhibits. Absolutely loved coming here and will most certainly return.

The museum was super nice. The exhibit was very well curated. The sound and videos were good quality. It wasn’t too crowded and the people working in the museum were very friendly. Even the coffee in their coffee shop was good! It was a bit too hot in there. Would be good to have some ventilation (I was there on a warm day in June)

Great museum to enjoy with a baby. The building has a ramp at the entrance, making it easy to access with a stroller. Upon arrival, the staff informed me about the lift I could use. The café downstairs is big and spacious—perfect for finding a quiet spot to feed a baby, whether by breast or jar 🙂 A changing table is located in the large restroom next to the café; you just need to ask for the key at the bar. I also spotted a high chair there. In the upstairs exhibition area, I found a quieter, calmer spot where I could put my baby on the floor for some crawling time. A parent-friendly art space that I will definitely return to.

Great photography museum with a wide range of exhibits from contemporary photographers from around the world sharing unique art and perspectives. Excellent bookshop with a broad collection of English and German books.

LOVE C/O!! Seen my most favorite exhibitions there (the latest were Tyler Mitchell & Sam Youkilis). The curation is always 10 out of 10, I can highly recommend going there.

Went once for an exhibition of photographs by the director Wim Wenders. I used to do my German school homework in his favourite bar (Meine Bar Ici, Mitte) so felt like I should. In the gift shop I bought a postcard version of a Polaroid of his: it was a photo of a sign that said it that it was the end of the world in German. Seven years later and I only ever see the thing when I’m at my wits end and it surfaces to the top of the pile of loose papers and souvenirs in my desk. It’s worth noting that the museum has no bar (that I could find) and that the photoautomat outside is a different format to the rest in Berlin and the photos more flattering.

Postfuhramt, Exhibition Centre for Photography Postfuhramt building was constructed in the 18751881 by Wilhelm Tuckermann according to the plans of Carl Schwatlo. It was seriously damaged during the Second World War and partially restored in the years 1973-1989. From the year 1997 it has been used as the exhibition centre. And that's what it is now the Exhibition Centre for Photography. The gallery hosts various exhibitions that oten change. The content as well as the quality of the works exposed might be different. You might be lucky to find there great pictures of famous or unknown photograpers or you might be disappointed. The good thing is that there is enough room for several exhibitions at the same time which provides you with a good chance to see at least something that you would like. The interior of the Postfuhramt is not what you expect to see keeping in mind its pretty clean facade. The peeling walls provocatively exposing layers of the paint they where wearing for last decades, crumbling stucco, and worn-out doors create a scary and enchanting background for photograps. At the second glance the biggest exhibition room proves to be a former sport hall with one of the hoops still fixed to the wall. I guess you have to be quite a pervert to see the beauty of this collapsing block of history but I swear I loved it! Definitely worth a visit.

Great place to check out if you like photography. Somewhat to ambitious from time to time, but certainly worth checking out. When you like P.S.1 (Moma) in NYC you'd also like this I guess
