Wow it’s a breathtaking view. You can get a tremendous view of the city and beautiful buildings and colourful streets from the top. If you take a view after sunset it’s added beauty with lights . The restaurants is closed in the evening Bus tram is nearby and well connected routes making it easy to reach others parts of the city It’s advisable to booking your tickets early that helps you avoid long queues and crowd. Enjoy your trip

Google
A fun experience where you have the option of various ticket choices - we chose the standard where you can walk around up at the top of the tower - you can stay for as long as you want as far as I know, but we stayed about a half hour. There’s also a bar up there and you can buy a ticket that includes a drink too, but we aren’t big on drinking and felt the cost wasn’t worth one drink. There is a gift shop at the bottom of the tower as well. Even if you’re not interested in buying a ticket to the top, it’s still fun to walk around down below and have a look at a rather interesting building.

Google
5 stars excellent service! The view is worth every euro! Especially watching the sun go down! The food is top quality! I booked restaurant experience and was greeted by Luna. Very friendly, welcoming and professional. It was my first time in Berlin, so it meant the world to be greeted by someone so lovely. Highly recommend the restaurant experience to anyone visiting the city for the first time.

Google
Great location to view the whole of Berlin. You can see all Berlin's iconic buildings. This tower reaches 368 meters high (tip of digital TV antennas), 207 meter high for the restaurant, and 203 meter high above sea level the panoramic viewing area. The lift/elevator speed going up is 6 m/sec, and going down is 4 m/sec. Therefore, you will be on top in less than a minute. Great view from the top. You can buy drinks from the viewing deck.

Google
Great views. Not a cheap trip in a lift, but worth it for a unique experience. Pre-book on line for the best prices, and skip the queues at the ticket office. Lift takes around 40 seconds to climb over 300 metres to observation floor. Fancy restaurant upstairs.

Google
It’s absolutely breathtaking , I feel like it literally touches the sky. It’s surrounded by beautiful streets, historic buildings, and riverside walks. You’re steps away from places like Museum Island and the Berlin Cathedral. Whether you’re into history, city vibes, or just great views, this spot is a must-visit. Berlin feels different from here.

Greg Jackson

Google
Yes it’s touristy but it’s pretty cool. You can get Birds Eye views all around the city. Also I did the VR (premium package) where the explained the construction. That was worth the price

Edwin Karlsson

Google
Quite expensive, but worth the excellent view of Berlin. There isn't really anything comparable in Berlin so there's that. There are qeues to the elevator up and down, both at least 20 minutes. There's some food and drink on the observation deck too and prices aren't terrible all things considered (€2-2.50 for bottles).

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the Fernsehturm from outside and seeing the views offered from the inside! Inside there are photos with points of interest numbered so you can look for specific Berlin landmarks from above. Going inside and up was very easy. We already had tickets we bought online, so we got in line for security as soon as we went in. Security was quick and kind, much like airport security. We were able to get on the elevator to go up almost immediately after security too. It was a bit busy up there, but there was more than enough room to walk around the entire viewing area and look for each point of interest we wanted to search for. We didn't have a long wait to get back into the elevator to go down when we were done either. There is a small store inside you can buy a souvenir from if you choose.

Yelp
Many well-written reviews have been posted so I'll paraphrase: - at 368 meters it's the tallest building in Germany and is one of the iconic sites of the Berlin skyline. - built originally between 1965-69 by East Germany for television broadcasting and a symbol of Communist power, though after reunification became a representation of transformation. - €25 entry is pretty steep though maybe worth doing once for a special occasion. Entry includes access to the viewing platform (inside the tower, not exposed to the exterior). - tickets are for timed entry and can be purchased in advance online or in person at automated ticket machines or a manned ticket booth. - the Berlin Welcomecard includes entry to this site though you need to physically check in at the ticket counter to receive an assigned time to go up the day of your visit. - restaurant reservations are bookable separately from observation deck tickets. At 207 meters, it's a revolving restaurant, so views change every 20 minutes. The food at the restaurant isn't particularly recommended, general consensus is you're paying for the views. - closest transportation hub is Alexanderplatz, plenty of public transit options (train, bus, tram), though driving and parking is possible too.

Yelp
It was cool to see the Berlin TV tower. Especially after seeing it in movies like Jason Bourne, an Atomic Blonde. This landmark is visible all over Berlin. It is very close to a subway station.

Yelp
I would have given zero stars if there was such an option. When I arrived at 8:15pm and got the entrance ticket I was told I could stay on the tower for as long as I wanted, as long as I exit before they close at 11pm. Everything went on smoothly except at the security check. After I came down from the Observation Deck at about 9:10pm, there was a seating area next to the exit, where I sat down - just like a few others did - to check my phone to plan my next destination. Then the security check lady came and chased me away in a rude tone. I asked her why, and she said I was not allowed to sit there. I asked to see her manager, and she said the manager went home and I would need to come back tomorrow to talk to the manager. I asked if the manager has an email address. Then she went to get a middle-aged man named "Joris" who claimed to be the manager. I politely voiced my feedback that if there's such a rule of visitors not allowed to sit there after visiting the observation deck, or can only sit for a maximum of five minutes, then there should be clear signage to indicate that. Or simply cordon off the area to avoid confusion. Period. But this "Joris" was absolutely rude. He simply dismissed my feedback as "bull****", and said he knows his staff well. When others are doing the same thing and only I was chased away, it's clearly discrimination. And so ill-mannered! Now I'm just glad that I simply redeemed the entrance ticket as part if the Berlin Welcome Card and didn't have to pay the full price for it, because it would simply be a waste of money!

Yelp
Berlin. Full of history, and much of it reconstructed from the ruins of World War II. A more exciting landmark was constructed by former East Germany, who decided to build a huge radio tower and still is the largest structure in Europe. The Berliner Fernsehturm links in your view everywhere you are in Berlin. While its history is questionable, it has become a beloved symbol of Berlin. Getting there is easy. It is strongly urged to make reservations at the restaurant. We had a birthday dinner there. Walking to the elevators, it looks like 1968 with very dated but cool materiality and forms, The elevators are quick, and when the door opens, you are confronted with glorious views of Berlin. We sat at a window table and marveled at the views. Don't like the view when you sit down? Don't worry, the restaurant rotates every twenty minutes or so. We had a prix fixe meal of champagne, wine, appetizer, main course, and dessert. To be honest, the cuisine is average, but is that really why you come to sit 600 meters in the air? The service was attentive. Overall, this place is worth the price, and I highly recommend it for a special occasion.

Yelp
We saw the tower as we were walking around near Museum Island and decided to check it out. As we got closer, we saw the signs stating that we could go up to the top, so we walked around to the entrance. The ground floor is where you buy your tickets and souvenirs. We were the only ones in there, and when the person selling the tickets found out we were American, they were so happy to speak English with us and carry on an actual conversation! To prevent anyone from losing their job, I am not revealing the gender of the person, or the date of our visit, because this person was so lovely and nice to us, that they didn't charge us an admission fee to go up in the tower! We thanked them and purchased a few things, then headed to the elevator. The man operating the elevator was very nice as well, and joked a bit with us as we quickly went up the tower. Once the doors open, you walk out into an observation area that is also a bar. As it was dark out, we couldn't see everything that the placards around the windows were describing, but we did get a magnificent view of Berlin at night. We decided to grab a drink and a pretzel at the bar, and relax for a bit before looking around again at the city lights. Yet another place that needs to be visited at different times of the day! Such lovely views and a nice place to just be calm. Highly recommend, as long as you aren't afraid of heights! 24/2022

Yelp
After living in Berlin for more than a decade, this past summer, I finally made my way to the TV tower. While I love a good view, the price is what really put me off. But the reason I finally caved? My son had his Einschulung, and he'd wanted to go in the TV tower for some time. We figured it was a special occasion, plus my dad was visiting. So we bought tickets and up we went. It was a bit of an overcast/foggy day, even in August, so I wasn't sure how good the visibility would be, but it turned out to be just fine. We bought tickets in advance, which meant we didn't have to wait long, and I definitely recommend doing this if you can. From scanning to arriving at the top, it was maybe 15 minutes. Once up top, we spent well over an hour. It was super fun to point out the sights we knew or try to find specific things, and for someone who knows the city quite well from the ground, this helped with some puzzle pieces of actually seeing how things fit together. I wouldn't make visiting here a regular occurrence, and it was enough that I probably would be good for another 10 years before going back up, but it was overall really cool and worthwhile and I recommend doing it at least once.

Yelp
It's cool because you can see most major landmarks in Berlin, but not cool because you have to pay €25 to get to the top...I guess when your a tourist you have to pay tourist prices.

Yelp
Epic experience. The viewing deck is great but for the real experience, book lunch or dinner in the rotating restaurant! It was so awesome, especially if you catch it during sunset. We did the window seat reservation with Prix fix menu and it was delicious! Make sure to make a reservation. You can make the reservation and order off the menu separate but we opted for the Prix fix option.

Yelp
Super beautiful views of the city! We got the fast pass and restaurant access and we loved every minute. I went here with my three friends and we loved the views of the city. The food at the restaurant was just ok. I got a beer that was $4 and the water was $7. Crazy how beer is cheaper in Germany than water.

Yelp
This is the Berlin needle to me. There are few spots from the city that it doesn't end up in the skyline of your photos. I didn't get an opportunity to go up it, since it wasn't open after my many hours walking around the wall by Checkpoint Charlie. It's a great focal point if you ever get lost and need to find your base too. It's so high up that it's hard to lose sight of it even.

Yelp
TV Tower - tallest and most visible landmark in the Berlin skyline. Would have gotten up and dine but no reservations left during our stay. So book in advance. U might as well visit the world clock, it's just a few meters away.

Yelp
The view from the Fernsehturm is impressive. The TV tower soars up to 368 meters in the sky. The sphere is made of steel and coverd by glass which is almost 203 meters from the ground, the elevators take you there in nearly 40 seconds. Once you walk out of the elevator, you'll be greeted by the sphere staff and show you the way to the viewing platform. On clear-weather days If you're lucky, you can watch very distant objects and sights of Berlin ahead of you. Take your time and try to recognize other Berlin sights from the tower using your own vision or aided by binoculars, I belive the best time to visit the tower is on a clear sunny day so you can take some photos of Belin from that height. The TV tower of Berlin is an ideal location for taking pictures, even though the windows of the sphere might be a bit dirty. If you get the opportunity to go up to the tower restaurant on the upper level of the sphere, you should enjoy a snack or a drink with an amazing panoramic view of Berlin City.

Yelp
Tallest building in Berlin that rises 368 metres or 1,207 ft above the surrounding area. A unique landmark against the skyline of Berlin. The surrounding area has plenty of cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and places to relax. You can get here by going to Alexanderplatz station. It was very busy when we visited on a Sunday. The line for the front desk was long, but there was nobody in line for the automated machines. Not sure why that was, maybe people in Europe are more accustomed to cash transactions. We went to the automated machines and got our tickets within a matter of minutes. The tickets had a letter that indicated the time slot at which we needed to come back to stand in queue upstairs. For us, it was about 45 minutes from the time we purchased the tickets. We did not know how strict they were about the assigned time so we came back over an hour past our assigned time after touring some of the surrounding attractions. Luckily, the lady at the counter was understanding and agreed to allow us to come back later that evening. When we did return, the crowd was mostly gone. It was a breeze getting to the top. The view was spectacular with the sunset in the distance. However, the glass made it difficult to get a clear view or picture without the window taint and reflection. The observation area was shaped in a circle with signs that labeled the different buildings in view. It felt a little claustrophobic because the space was small and there was no outdoor observation area. Can't say it was worth the price of admission but it was a cool experience nonetheless.

Yelp
A Berlin icon worth visiting. The TV tower is on the east side of Berlin in Alexanderplatz. It's a cool little area with plenty of things to do. Make sure to grab some currywurst when you are in town! I do recommend that you buy tickets in advance because it can get busy. I would also recommend that you go during the day. It is easier to see the city. We went at night, and it was beautiful however, you cannot see some of the famous landmarks and things that you may want to do. It would be really great to do this before you started venturing around Berlin, so you can get a feel for the city. The major attractions and monuments are underneath the large windows so you know what buildings you are looking at. The bar at the top is good. They have good drinks and several different beer options. There is something there for everyone. We went back several times to try the different drinks and beers. It was a great way to finish the night. A fine German beer in hand, looking over the really cool city.

Yelp
Along with a couple of friends I booked a VIP dinner in Sphere Restaurant at Berliner Fernsehturm on 24/10/2017. For the sum of 80 Euro each we obtained no-queue entry to the restaurant, a window-side table, two-course meal, one small glass of cuvée sparkling wine on arrival, unlimited bottled water, plus two small glasses of wine with our meal. The tickets also allowed entry to Berlin's highest bar and viewing deck on the way out after our meal. On arrival things seemed a bit confused, we weren't sure where to go to gain access to the restaurant and when we found the correct spot we were redirected downstairs to leave our coats at a cloakroom. After this there was a quick security check and a long lift journey up to Sphere Restaurant. We stood for quite a few minutes before a member of staff came to show us our table. After the rather un-VIP start to our evening things picked up considerably. The VIP menu was limited and I had tomato soup and veggie ravioli main. Food was nice but certainly nothing special given the price we paid. Service was not great either with waiting staff few and not very attentive. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the window watching beautiful Berlin at night as we rotated slowly around. The wine was excellent and after our meal we ordered a further bottle of Riesling and sat for an hour mesmerised by the sparkling city below, whilst trying to spot locations we had visited. In summary, I wouldn't recommend Sphere for food, but more for the magical experience of Berlin alight at night. It might also be cheaper overall to book queue-jumping and window-side tables separately rather than pay for a VIP package, which really wasn't VIP standard. Saying this, I really enjoyed my evening and Berliner Fernsehturm is definitely an experience not to miss if in Berlin...

Yelp
It's very cool looking and I was really interested in learning when it was constructed. I wish I had been able to go up to the top for a meal, but there was a cost just to take the elevator up and then no guarantee that there would be a seat! Next time I'll try to make a point of planning this out better.

Yelp
Pretty damn epic, even after a year of living here. Really well-marked descriptions of visible landmarks in German, English, French, and Spanish. During non-COVID times, there's a reasonably priced bar around the circumference of the Sphere as well. A must-do to get your bearings in Berlin.

Yelp
Television Tower: 5/5 Must-see when you're in Berlin. Amazing view over the city from 368m/1200ft - which makes it the tallest building in Germany. There are two platforms: one is the regular sightseeing platform, above is the restaurant which rotates 360 degrees within 60 minutes. It normally takes 2 hours from the time of buying your ticket (13 Euro) to getting up there but it's worth the wait. For the restaurant you need to make reservations beforehand. Restaurant: 2/5 It is definitely a special spot for your date or event if you're dining 368m above the ground with a window seat. However, the food options aren't great and ridiculously overpriced - it seemed to me they're trying too hard on "fine dining" but forget about the value. You'd definitely need a starter and dessert to your main and you'll easily end up paying 50 Euro per person which is really expensive for Berlin. Additionally, the quality of the food doesn't really justify the price. My tip: skip the restaurant and instead get a drink at the bar on the sightseeing platform level.
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
We came at night and there was no line. The view wasn't that great, and it's hard to take pictures. There's a barrier between you and the windows, further making it harder to get a good picture. It cost 13 euros to go up, and while it's the tallest point in Berlin, there are other places you can get a better 360 view, like at the Reichstag dome or the Victory Column.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Yes it's touristy but it's a great view of Berlin! We booked this 3 months ago and upgraded us to VIP for €19,50... Worth every penny because we bypassed all lines, got window seat for lunch (we booked the 3:30 table) so not only did we save with the lunch menu, we got to see a gorgeous sunset at 5:30 in February. Even with lunch prices, it's not cheap. Stephen wasn't hungry so he chose cake and coffee, while I had the potato and large water for drink. I added a coffee after dinner and our bill came to €31 for lunch! Was it worth it? I think so, but don't expect a lot for the money except bypassing everyone in line.

Yelp
It was a cool experience to get up there and see the city from the top of the needle. The new itself is an interesting object. Make sure to book your tickets in advance if you looking to eat at the restaurant on top of the noodle. There are some times during the year that are extremely busy and it's worth scheduling your dinner in advance. The dinner itself was OK. As gluten-free and vegetarian we didn't find that many options on the menu that were enticing so we actually just had a hot tea and a drink and that was it. The prices are quite high as well as you can imagine. Did you is not bad. And of course it's the best if you get the window seating. There are absolutely no gluten-free desserts which is sad :(

Yelp
Wonderful location, I used the TripAdvisor "skip the line" option for 40 dollars. You get a delicious meal at a nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the entire city. From here I could see the berlin dom, Brandenburg gate, the holocaust memorial and many other amazing sites. The meal was delicious a main course and dessert. It's easily accessible considering the train station is right below.
google avatar

Caroline S.

Yelp
This is definitely a tourist attraction that you may consider visiting when in Berlin. We didn't pay for the skip the line version, so we had to wait about an hour to get up to the tower. Once you're up there, the views are wonderful, and there are maps to explain what various buildings are around the city. The only drawback is that the large steel beams on the windows make it a bit difficult to get pictures without the beams being in your way. I wouldn't necessarily go back a second time, but it was nice to have the experience and the views.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
My wife and two children decided to visit the top of the city and there is no better place than the Fernsehturm. Relatively inexpensive and we there was only a short line, though it is likely much longer during peak hours. There is a restaurant at the top that you'll need reservations for. There are many things to see and plenty of informational pictures that describe what you're seeing. This was well worth the visit!
google avatar

Rossy M.

Yelp
I always saw pictures of the TV tower and thought to myself one day I'd make it there. Well I finally did and it was awesome! The observation deck offers unparalleled views of Berlin. I was lucky enough to go up during the sunset and the city looked incredible from the top. The line to buy tickets was long but thankfully they had a kiosk - it was 15€ in total. Now here comes the bad part, the wait.... oh God the wait. They let people in by the numbers on the tickets and it's only a handful of people every 10 minutes. The good part is that you can text a number with your ticket and they will send you a message 30 minutes before your window time. They also have a lot of seating around the security check point if you prefer to wait inside. I saw a lot of people doing the fast track tickets so if you can get those I think its better. The bar at the top of the deck is awesome and drinks are fairly priced. There's also a restaurant on the very last floor - it was closed when I went but I heard good things.

Yelp
We paid more for quick access. Great views. Great drink. As with everywhere else in Berlin, the cost of the drink was half of what I expected. Very crowded, so paying extra and being a combination of patient and pushy are recommended.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
Oh my gosh. A fantastic place to visit during sunset. It's best to come a little later in the day to beat the crowds. You get a 360 view of the city from the east side with plenty of info cards pointing out various sights in the city. We spent about 45 minutes making our way around then tower and reading all the info cards and taking in the sights. Little did we know there was a restaurant up one more level which was a perfect way to enjoy drinks and desserts. My fat self ordered two desserts for myself because why not. Haha when in Berlin amirite?? The best of the two was definitely the chocolate one. Very rich and delicious. The floor of the restaurant rotates 360 degrees for a panoramic view as you dine. It was a wonderful place to watch the sunset, enjoy the World Cup game, and take in the beauty of Berlin. If I ever return I'd love to try some entrees!

Yelp
A highlight of any trip to Berlin is to access this amazing vantage point. A testament to 50/60's Soviet architecture and brilliant for it. Amazing retro entrance hall which has retained its original design. You can walk around and browse information about other towers in the world and how they compare in height to the Fernsehturm. Entrance is €13 for adults as at January 2016. You get a timed ticket for your ascent. Once at the top you can take as long as you like and maybe stop for a drink at the bar where the drinks are surprisingly reasonably priced.

Yelp
We ate at the restaurant. One must make a reservation to do this. Because we had a lunch reservation, we waited in a special line. The line for the viewing level only had a 3-4 hour wait. Everyone pays the fee to go up to the viewing level, even if you plan to eat at the restaurant. One might expect this fee to be waived if dining in the restaurant, but no. This was 12,00 Euro per person - just for the elevator ride. After arriving on the viewing level, one checks in and is then escorted up one flight of stairs to the restaurant level. The food was mediocre at best, but it's not really about the food...it's all about the view, which was amazing. Apparently, you can pay more and be seated at the window. We didn't elect this option, but were able to see and take some good photos anyway. We are glad we did this, but never again.

Yelp
Probably the most recognisable structure in Berlin due to its height, The Fernsehturm's history fascinated me more than the view Built in the 60s on the East German side of the wall no doubt to emphasise communist superiority, the tower is one of the city's top (pun intended!) attractions these days You do get a good 360 degree view but it isn't as stunning as in some other cities but I suppose that's not the fault of the tower. It's located right next to Alexanderplatz station and adult entry is 12.50 Euros
google avatar

Yelp
Nice view of the city. A reservation in advance is recommended. There is not to mutch to buy in the bar.

Yelp
I eventually booked up to go over to Berlin earlier this year with my friend - our plans were to sightsee and try to squeeze as much as possible into our 3 day long weekend! Planning in advance - as pro-city sightseers we booked a lot of things online before we got there to make sure we managed to see everything on our bucket list. That said we booked dinner for our first night in Berlin's TV Tower, which gave us a spectacular 360-degree view over the city! Close to our hotel it was hard to miss and we arrived on time to collect our tickets that gave us a fast-pass lane up the elevator. Slightly unnerving as you watch through a window in the top of lift as you shoot up to the top of the tower - do not head up here if you have a case of vertigo! Warning: it does cost you a surcharge to actually enter the tower itself even if you are dining in the restaurant! Arriving at the top we took the time to walk around the viewing platform before heading up a small set of stairs to the dining area. We were given our table number by a waitress and told to walk through and take a seat... slightly confused we soon realized all the tables were laid out around the edge of the room and it was just a case of walking round the circular room. After taking our seat we were asked for our drinks order -as it was our first night we opted to go all out and get a bottle of prosecco followed by the 2 course a la carte menu. An added bonus was that we booked to go just before sunset so we saw Berlin in the daylight and at nighttime. After feeling disorientated for around half an hour we also realised our view over the city had changed... the floor slowly rotated so we got to see an ever-changing view over the cityscape! Embracing our new culture we tried to keep our options to the traditional German meals. We both opted for the soup to start (being March is was still a little chilly outside). The "Foam Soup" arrived with a customary schnitzel on the side and was super tasty - made from potatoes it was filling and hit the spot! For the main I went for the Steak Medallions served with potato roti and a red jus. The steak arrived on small slices of sweet bread - a slightly weird concept that actually worked. The sauce was very rich but complemented the steak well which was cooked to perfection. My friend opted for a risotto that was more of your traditional Italian dish but was impressed with its flavor however was getting food envy overly tasty dish as we circled the city... Would definitely recommend to those who are visiting - not only was it a tasty meal but you get to see the views over the buzzing city. A must do for any tourist!

Yelp
We had hoped to eat here on our last night in the city as a little birthday treat for my partner, but after discovering we needed to pay a fee just to get up to the restaurant to choose from a not-so-exciting but pricey menu we decided to skip it and visit for drinks later on instead. When we arrived we had expected to have to wait a while, but as it was about 10pm we were able to head straight up and had the viewing floor pretty much to ourselves! Visibility wasn't amazing, but you could still see a decent amount and it was interesting to see all the areas of the city from above. After wandering round admiring the view for a while we settled in at the bar to have a drink. I was pretty happy with the cocktail selection, which although expensive in terms of other cocktail bars in Berlin wasn't too ridiculous, however my partner thought the beer selection was a little bit lacking. A shame, considering this is one of the big tourist attractions in the city! The bar staff were a little distant, possibly because it was getting close to closing, however the staff throughout the rest of the experience were pleasant and always happy to help. All in all, I think the tower is the kind of thing you only need to do once. If you're looking for a new way to see the city it's worth popping up but I wouldn't be rushing to try it! The super fast lift was a tad nauseating though...

Yelp
I visited here 3 years ago today. Had a great view of the city, but it was extremely crowded. I remember it took awhile to get there because the line was so huge. But I'm still glad I was able to make it too the top and see everything. It's a good place to visit if you are first touring Berlin and don't mind the big crowds, or visiting on a different time of day might be best with less people. I like the idea of having a restaurant there also. I didn't get a chance to try the food though, but maybe next time if I come back and visit. Might be a cool place to see the city lit up at night.

Yelp
The Berliner Fernsehtum (Berlin TV tower) is the landmark of Berlin, if you come to visit Berlin, this is one of the sight you can't miss here. You can see it from the different side inside the center of Berlin. If u did miss it, than you can't really say that you have been to Berlin at all. The tower was constructed between 1965-1969 by GDR (DDR in German). It's quite historical. it's also a symbol of Berlin. Funny fact is, not many locals actually never been to the top of the TV tower (well, at least that what my friends told me). It seem like I was the only one have been to the top of the tower in my group of friends. Here is my experience about the tower inside. First I have to mention, to get tickets here is really pain in the ass, I came at noon, I think I spent about 1-2 hours just to waiting in the line try to get the ticket. There were a lot of people, the line was so long till the entrance outside. Well, it was a hot season for tourists, that probably is the reason. I suggest just get the ticket online and print it out here with the ticket machines, much faster. I only noticed it when I was there and didn't expect will took so long. The ticket itself isn't really cheap, but still acceptable. After I got the ticket I still had to wait 30 mins until my turn. I decided to wander around in Alexanderplatz, which there are many ways to kill time. Finally I could get in the tower, I have to say the lift was pretty cool and fast, you could feel the air pressure changing inside. Soon I arrived on the top of the tower, the view from here was acutely amazing. This thing is there are protection glasses all around and which was a bit grayish, the beautiful view automatically got a filter on it. Some part also weren't really clean. If you really want to see the city from above, there are other much better ways to do so in Berlin. It got also a restaurant here. It depend what kind of the ticket you have, mostly have to pay extra for a drink. It was a bit disappointed for me, 'cause I also have been to the Olympiaturm inside Olympiapark in Munich. That was much cheaper and the view was simply amazing. Plus it didn't really took me long to get in there. For me, the good thing is I actually been inside the tower, it's wasn't half bad. I do like the Fernsehtum itself. No doubt it is the symbol of the the city. I am glad I did, it was a cool experience. If you just want to see the city up high, I do think there are another options better than it. But sure, this is the sight must been seen at least once, but remember to check their website (it seem like they have more different kind of the tickets online) and try to get the tickets online!

Yelp
This TV Tower is the tallest building in Berlin. I'm not a fan of going to the top of the highest building of a city I visit just to see a 360 view of the entire city and stand in a long line plus, pay more then 50euros for it when I can do it for free while I'm on a plane. It is the symbol of Berlin and locals use it as a reference point. It actually costs less than 20euros to go up this TV tower but still, it's not my thing when I'm on vacation. When the sun hits the sphere of this tower, you'll see a cross and is called "Pope's Revenge". There is a restaurant inside if you ever decide to go up. Beware of gypsies outside this area. They walk around in jeans and t-shirt holding a clipboard. So, be alert, don't make eye contact, walk away from them and hold on to your purse/wallet. It's worth the look from outside...for free!

Yelp
The place is disappointing, during night the inner lights reflects so badly in the window that you misses all the detail of the the city. I had been in other similar towers without having this issue, it seems they didn't plan the position of the glass properly. Food is not that good but expensive.

Yelp
We went on a old winter night, there was no wait at 19:00. Even though it was dark, the view was still amazing looking down on the Christmas lights. The food was quite nice too though I only had a salad and dessert. A little pricey but well worth the visit.

Yelp
Berlin is a really exciting city with an interesting city landscape. This structure definitely adds to the unique cosmopolitan energy. It's funny how the sun reflects off the sphere and a cross appears. I was captivated by this structure.

Yelp
The Fernsehturm. I always came past it when visiting Berlin, and I also took many pictures of it. So I decided that I had to go up for the first time this year. The pricing is fair, and since I'm a university student, it was a tad bit cheaper than for normal people. The view into the elevator shaft was blocked on the way up, but open on the way down. I didn't visit the bar or the restaurant, so I can't say anything about those, but they seemed well visited. I was kinda underwhelmed by the view from Berlin's Fernsehturm. But that was caused by some low hanging clouds, I think there was a TV with the local weather in the lobby though. I definitely need to come back on a nicer day.

Yelp
Tallest building in the European Union?! Yes please! We came here after buying early bird tickets online, and we showed up around 9:20 on a weekend. We didn't have to wait in line basically at all, although there were a lot of people up in the tower! The tower elevator goes up pretty quickly, and the elevator shows you which part of the tower the elevator is currently at! Quite cool. At the top, you basically have a view of the entire Berlin, and it's quite nice. The tower is surrounded by glass though, so you'll have that in your pictures. Definitely worth it to visit, but buy your tickets online to avoid the lines!

Yelp
Eh, it was okay. It was 13 Euros to get in but if you have a Berlin Welcome Card, you can get an additional 25% off your ticket price. You can either come during the day, buy tickets in advance, or go at night to get a nice view of the city at night. My only one gripe is the lighting. It's really hard to get a good photo without a ton of reflections coming from inside or outside on the glass. Also there's a bar at the top but it's a bit pricey by my standards. If you're looking to get a drink nearby, I'd suggest taking a look at Brauhaus Mitte which is just a short walk away.

Yelp
The bar was super pricey and I bet the restaurant is too, but a 15 Euro ticket to go up to the top observation deck is definitely worth the price. You can see all of Berlin and out to the outskirts of the city. It's gorgeous. There are also maps and numbers and photos all the way around so you can learn about the buildings you're looking at. We went here on our last day in Berlin and it helped solve some of the mysteries about what certain buildings were that we'd seen earlier on our trip. They take a photo of you as you wait in line (which was probably about 30 minutes when we went-- in the non-fast lane) and put it on 4 different Berlin backgrounds. For 15 Euro, you can choose to receive large printouts of 2 of them. We really liked ours, so we decided to splurge on that. There's also a gift shop at the end. Some of the staff were a bit rude but the guy who manned the very fast, glass-ceiling-ed-elevator for us was friendly and funny. It's also just a sidewalk across the Tram stop and near lots of restaurants, stores, etc. so the location is convenient. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Worth the price. When you buy the tickets, you have to wait an hour, but it's totally worth it. I would do it if I were you. Beautiful views of all of Berlin, a bar, and good times.

Yelp
Oh, how do you add to what has already been written. For me this fantastic structure is about the unique view that you get of Berlin. If you think Berlin is big. See the view, and you see the big wonderful city.

Yelp
This is the first time I have given a five star review. I had a wonderful, memorable, experience here last night. (Be sure to make a VIP reservation or you will not be seated.) Our service was spot on, the food was "gourmet-sized" but of extremely high quality, and the views were breathtaking. There was even a live piano player on the rotating dinner deck. I cannot give a higher recommendation than my first (out of six reviews) five star rating. You will thank me later!

Yelp
At the top of the Berlin TV tower, lovely rotating restaurant with a view of the great city. We went there for a New Year's Eve celebration and had a great time. Live band, buffet, cocktails and wine/champagne, and everyone in a great mood. Food was good, not really spectacular. An incomparable view of the fireworks. They know how to set up a party :)

Yelp
I have critised Berlin for its new builting policies of going for the brash and new. I don't like the glass buildings going up everywhere. Its not in keeping with this city. However, th TV Tower is different. It seems stylish and fresh. It has a clean bold look that dominates the Eastern side of Berlin. When I first set eyes on it I looked on in awe. It looks far higher than its 207 m. There is a revolving restaurant that all tower seem to have. I didn't go up in it. Heights aren't my thing. Its easy to get to. Lots of buses and the circle line stop at the Alexanderplatz. The M4, M5 and M6 trams also stop here.
