A Delightful Polish Culinary Experience! My recent visit to Bernard was an absolute pleasure, offering a truly delightful journey into Polish cuisine. For starters, I highly recommend the burrata. It was simply excellent – creamy, fresh, and bursting with flavor. A perfect way to begin the meal. For my main course, I opted for the duck breast, and it did not disappoint. The duck was cooked perfectly, arriving beautifully pink and incredibly tender. It was clear that great care was taken in its preparation. Beyond these standout dishes, the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious Polish dining experience, Bernard is definitely worth a visit!

50+ minutes waiting on food on a non busy day. Food arrived after an hour. It was fine, but nothing special. Beer is quite average too and isn't worth the price. They brought us a piece of cake as an excuse for the long wait and it was very good actually. Soft, creamy and not so sweet.

First night in Wroclaw and we read about Bernard for their lovely Schnitzel and potatoes. This was not a let down. A must visit when in Wroclaw. Really nice vibe on the main square and lovely food. Highly recommend!

Had swen this place on a list of recommended restaurants before we went. We sat in the covered outdoor section ans it was ok while the heaters were on but they were turned off and it did cool off a bit. They do provide blankets so i used one of those. Food was lovely. I had the melted cheese on bread then the rabbit with red cabbage, husband had the goulash. Couple of beers as well. Price was reasonable and the restaurant is in a lovely position on the main square. I'd advise taking a jumper of you sit in the covered section as it was slightly cool but not off putting. We really enjoyed it.

Bernard in Wroclaw offers an unforgettable culinary experience with its rich, flavorful Czech dishes. The food is deeply satisfying and has an almost Moorish (or should I say moreish!) quality in its complexity. I haven't eaten this well in a long time. The Velké Koleno (pork knuckle) is a standout, one of the best versions I've ever had. Stewed in a Czech dark beer, it carries a depth and richness that’s almost golden, like liquid treasure. Its flavors remind me of a Southeast Asian dish, with incredible balance and complexity. The stewed cabbage, deceptively simple at first glance, delivers just enough tanginess to cut through the richness, perfectly complementing the pork. The flavor pairings are exceptional: horseradish or mustard with the pork, cabbage with the pork, potato with sour cream, and potato with cabbage. Each combination creates a symphony of deep, harmonious flavors. Bernard is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates well-executed, hearty cuisine.

Google
very tasty, pleasant atmosphere, I come several times a year and the food is always top notch. There were three of us, we ate appetizers + everyone ordered a main course and we barely managed to fit in dessert. I recommend it to anyone who visits the market square in Wrocław but has trouble using wonderful places in their culinary adventures! Good job!👍

Food was fast and tasty, waiters are nice. The build is separate so there is a bistro and pub, and restaurant and wine house they have different menus so just have a look before picking one. I went for the bistro.

Yelp
Poitr was an amazing server who knew the menu and recommendations. He was very professional and helped substitute the vegetables that came with the rabbit. Some of the best rabbit and gravy I have had with Czech kiddel bread and sauteed vegetables. The tiramisu dessert with an iced latte was a great way to finish the meal off. Its on the main square with indoor and outdoor seating as well as multiple floors. Good ambiance and all staff friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Very nice place. Superb food and very well prepared dishes. Bacon wrapped plums were a surprise! Another highly recommend if you're looking for something not so ordinary.

Yelp
Nice place. We went with a large company group. Set menu, of which I had the steak. It was good. The place is large with ample seating. Looks like they have a large selection of beers. Service was good and attentive. There was a steady crowd of people coming in so it looks like this is a popular place.

Yelp
In a great location right on Wroclaw's Town Square, Bernard's is a very popular choice for traditional Polish cuisine. This multi-level restaurant had so many reservations this mid-week evening, that we were fortunate to be seated at one of the few open tables in the bar area on the first floor...which also quickly filled up completely by 7:00 pm. After ordering a bottle of a light-bodied 2015 French Merlot, we decided on a "snack plate" of Fried Cheese, Veggie Tempura and Sausage in Puff Pastry over Chips (Fries) and Onion Rings. This overflowing dish for 4 provided a great start. For entrees, our party of 4 grabbed a nice cross selection of Bernard's menu ranging from the the Pork Tenderloin, the Duck w/ Beetroot, a Caesar's Salad and the Beef Medallions with Chanterelles (a variety of 'shrooms). Great food and drink here at Bernard's made for an equally great evening in this popular Polish eatery. Four solid stars.

Yelp
I was in Wroclaw for four days and this was the best place that I ate while on my stay. The location is primo! Right in the center of the main public square. We didn't have reservations, but they seated us immediately when we arrived and the ambiance can only be described as casual elegance. Everything that we ordered was beyond fantastic and the service was exceptional. It was nice that our servers spoke perfect English and could offer some advice while ordering. We tried several different types of mulled wine. My favorite had cinnamon in it. We tried the Hermelin with Honey appetizer. If you are craving a little something sweet, but also want to be adventurous, you should look no further that this gem on the menu. This is a traditional Czech appetizer that is sure to have your taste buds zinging with pleasure. I had the Dumplings with birch boletes. This dish had a flavor that resembles fried gnocchi in a mushroom cream sauce. Delicious! My husband, who usually orders better than me, had the beef medallions with chanterelles. I tried his meal and I couldn't decide which of our two dishes was better. I really fancied the fried chanterelles dumplings with cheddar cheese mouse! Incredible and not something you will find on a typical menu. This place was the establishment that we judged all restaurants while on our visit to Wroclaw and none came close to it's excellence. If you are in Wroclaw this is definitely a restaurant you want to add to your list!!

Yelp
This restaurant can be found right in the Old Town Square of Wroclaw. The seating was comfortable; my friend and I were sat at a table with mini armchairs. Lights are dimmed and I saw a lot of couples here dining. My friend ordered a whiskey sour with egg white, and he complained that he could barely tasted the whiskey. Meanwhile I had the Honey Bernard, and this was made with light beer, Jim Beam, honey, apple juice and bitters. To my surprise the beverage was hot when it arrived. I've never had warm beer before! I really enjoyed the beverage. It was light and easy to drink, and I can taste my whiskey. It was perfect to keep warm in this crazy cold winter. To start our meal with ordered nachos. The nachos are topped with cheese and comes with a mini side of salsa and guac. The chips were crispy and well seasoned, the salsa and guac were great. The only problem I had with this was the cheese used hardens too quickly. It lacks the gooey-ness that nacho cheese should have. In result, the cheese was only available to the very top layer of chips. For the main course I ordered the Bernard Wife's Platter. This comes with chicken fillet, duck fillet, sliced potatoes, pasta, vegetables, and special sauces. The special sauces were baked pumpkin ketchup and dijon mustard with raisins. The chefs did really good with this one. So many pleasant and unique flavors in this platter. The chicken fillet stood out because it was breaded with little white and yellow seeds- I wish I knew the name of them, haha. We ended our meal with a slice of carrot cake. Probably the most legit carrot cake I've ever had... It tasted so fresh and I loved the coconut flakes that were places on the edge of the cake. I really liked it. The main courses ranged from $9-20USD. My large drink was less then $4USD, and the nachos were around $5.75USD. The platter was aprox. $20.50USD. www.travelbae.net

Yelp
One of the better options among dozens of restaurants located on main square. I was there for lunch and late dinner, both experiences were great. Despite hectic lunch time the service was quick and sufficient. Cuisine is modern European with small emphasis on Czech. Beef carpaccio was amazingly fresh and well presented, pumpkin fritters with smoked salmon was a perfect starter. Overall: food is fresh, creative and pretty delicious. The fried cheese thing they have in their appetizer section was just a perfect fix to soak up all the alcohol consumed before 1 am ;))) Nice beer selection, kitchen open till 2 am on weekends.

Yelp
Exceptional! Excellent food, alright service, and great ambiance. In the week that I've been in Poland, this place has stood out. I came in with a large group, 30 people or sow and our server did a great job. We had a variety of dishes, dumplings; cod; sausage; and salad, and it all came out great. Best cocktails in town too.

Yelp
It is OK place to eat, but it is overrated and overpriced. Waiters are nice, but disorganized a bit.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite on the square. The food is still good, but the service is horrible, from all the staff. The quality of service ruins the entire experience. My suggestion spend your money somewhere else.

Yelp
The food is excellent. The tables for 2 people are not very comfortable but the food and drinks compensate for it. I recommend beer cocktails.
