"Famille Restaurant Berrada is worth a visit for the decor alone:a wildly out-of-control collection of ancient clocks and dusty trinkets piled high on a bar, with pressed-concrete tiles and a kitchen that stillcookslargely by fire. There’s no menu. Instead, you’ll be taken out back to sample theday's offerings from a series of pots(usually a selection of meat- or legume-based stews), and then, as youdine, Monsieur Berrada, who issomewherenorth of 70 years old, will perform handstands and somersaults forhisadoring public."

My favorite meal in Fes by far. The owners are so sweet, and truly make you feel welcome. They let you sample all the food they have that day so you know exactly what you're getting when you order. They bring tea and several salads for the table included in your meal. Heard the owners tell the table next to us (who eventually decided that they only wanted tea) that they didnt need to pay because he wanted them to feel welcome. He even told my vegan friend that she didn't need to pay for her meal. We did anyway bc we felt so welcomed by this family.

Morocco! You can sample the dishes to make sure you like them! All of the staff are extremely friendly! Our tour guide tried taking us to a different restaurant(which he obviously was getting a commission for). We insisted on going to this place because of the reviews! We are so glad we did!! We would eat here for every meal if we could!!! The picture below is my plate FINISHED!😋

Authentic Moroccan food and more importantly, experience. They invite you in the kitchen to try before you sit down and eat. Extremely friendly, and service oriented. Funny enough, it’s also one of the cheaper options. The guy serving you (I forgot how to pronounce his name unfortunately) is the most welcoming person I’ve ever meet. This place will be the highlight of your Moroccan culinary experience. Couldn’t recommend it more. Also fresh bread

MUST visit when in fez. You will leave with a full stomach and heart and a smile on your face. I would actually review this place 10 stars out of 5! The food is authentic and delicious made by the owners mom herself. So you are guaranteed a good authentic meal They offer you a trial of the dishes before you pick so you can be happy with what you get. Beyond this they also offer you unlimited moroccan tea and bread but ALSO some dips. If you ask for more of anything they happily serve it to you with a warm smile. You may be scared this is a tourist trap or gimmick but it was not! The bill only contained the 2 dishes and the water we ordered (150 dhs). But beyond the food the extra 5 stars I would give this place is because of the warm generous and hospitable service. I have had the opportunity to eat at many places all around the world of all price ranges, and i have never had the pleasure of leaving a restaurant feeling so content.

Testing experience was very unique to experience in a restaurant specially restaurant that is in Almadina. Also, the food was quite fresh and really nice and tasty.

Lovely family restaurant. On arrival, you're ushered into the kitchen to sample the different dishes - they were all delicious! Plenty of vegan/veg options and options that are a little different from the norm that you get everywhere as well (made a lovely change!). Nothing was too much for them - they are the friendliest hosts I've come across in a long time (and Moroccan hospitality is generally excellent!). Highly recommend.

Amazing experience, best place to eat in Fes! They speak perfect English and they are super welcoming and the food is amazing. They also bring you inside the kitchen to taste the food of the day and if you like it you stay.

We found the restaurant here on Google and decided to try it out. And oh my god, we're so grateful for finding this place! It's a gorgeous family-run restaurant right in the centre. Our waiter took us to their kitchen first, saying that we can taste the food first and then decide if we stay or not, which is amazing. We got to know what we wanted to have right away, and it was stuff that we probably wouldn't originally choose because we didn't know what it was or what it looked like. There were a few things they were out of at the moment (lunch time), however, they informed us about it right away, and there were still a lot of delicious meals to choose from. And the food itself? It sent us to heaven. It is the mother of the family who is a chef and she is absolutely genius. Everyone was very, very kind and professional, and we also got some starters and mint tea for free, too! The prices were great as well. I highly recommend going here. It's "simply" phenomenal 🙏
