I’ve only been to Berry & Rye a few times all of which being this year. Most recently for my birthday in October. And the main thing I can say is I can’t believe I waited so long to visit. What a place! The level of knowledge from the staff and the care and attention to detail provided were amazing. The live music was fantastic. I can’t fault a single thing from the times I’ve been. Special thanks to Eddie for his recommendations the last time I went. The Dream Dram is such a fantastic idea too! Getting to try a super premium shot for a fraction of the RRP if you just get say a pint with it, unbelievable value if you appreciate your whiskey. There’re are plenty of great places to just grab a drink in Liverpool, but place me where you feel you’re getting an experience are few and far between. The Vibes ™️ are immaculate!

If you find yourself in Liverpool and are a cocktail lover you need to go to Berry and Rye! It really takes you back to what a speakeasy is, you won't find it visible from the street, make sure you knock on the door to get in! Very tasty and unique cocktail menu! Highly recommend.

Cracking Whiskey (and Rye) forward speakeasy. Easy to walk pass, difficult to leave. Good menu and excellent staff who will know how to knock up something not on the already extensive menu

Very intimate and ambient bar hidden in the city centre. The thought put into each detail is so well executed, paired with a delicious cocktail it’s the perfect evening getaway

Amazing venue. We joined the short queue and waited around 15mins until we could go in. It's well worth the wait. We were taken to a pair of stools near the bar which was set for us. There was a welcome drink each and 2 glasses of water. The welcome drink was amazing, unfortunately I can't remember the name. The drinks menu is hidden inside a book, the first part of the menu is cocktails, some classic cocktails and some unusual ones. I've There's a large selection of whiskey and gin on the menu. We visited during January, the menu also had a large selection of non alcoholic cocktails. We had 4 cocktails and each was amazing, mixed to perfection. The prices ranged from about £8 to £11 for a cocktail.

I'll start with I have high expectations. Went to this little hidden place and had a couple cocktails. They weren't to bad but they weren't special either. Now I have been having many cocktails all over London UK and all pretty much mediocre or slightly above. I didn't find this any better or worse. Went to order a special scotch they had but they kinda have a stupid rule where you need to buy a drink with it, which is fine but the drink you just got doesn't count, which is kinda dumb. They do have some great scotch if that's your thing. Overall just not WOW'd.

A hidden Bar, expensive but the quality is outstandingly high, very knowledgeable staff. The lady who served was very helpful and perfectly happy to direct newcomers. Having a locked door policy is a very good idea it keeps the rabble out. So only people in the know know how to get in.

Yelp
Find the black door and awning, knock on the door and wait to be let in. Cool space with great cocktails! Great prices too! We were welcomed with a small glass of "pinch" that was super tasty. Live jazz music was an added bonus.

Yelp
Is Berry & Rye the coolest drinking establishment in Liverpool? Very possibly. With its complete lack of signage, its blacked out windows and front door and the fact that you have to knock on said door to be allowed entry (if the doorman likes the look of you) you already know you're dealing with somewhere fairly high on the 'hipometer'. When you get in (and you could be waiting outside for a while on a Friday or Saturday as it's only small and VERY popular) you are greeted by a decor which is at once understated and incredibly clearly themed. You just feel like you're in Prohibition era in the Deep South. The staff come over with cocktail menus and glasses of water (again, very cool - this is no place for binge drinking) and give you plenty of time to pick your drink which is just as well as there is a LOT to choose from. The cocktails are sorted into spirit based groups which makes things pretty easy if you're a gin person versus a whisky person. Myself, I was immediately drawn to a cocktail called the Corpse Reviver. Not that I particularly needed reviving - it just sounded fun. It was. This is a lovely place to start, end or spend your entire night if you enjoy a relaxed and cool atmosphere and being able to hear yourself and your companions speak. Very classy joint indeed.

Yelp
This is a fascinating place. It is set up like a speak-easy to a ridiculous extent. There is no sign or advertising at all. It is set up to look like a library with the menus printed in books. The drinks are great. There is a good mix of prohibition era drinks along with some more modern cocktails. The cheeseboard is also good.

Yelp
First time I went was quite good. But second time I went, apparently I knocked too hard (???) and the bouncer said we weren't allowed in because it was affecting people inside. Apparently knocking once for about 3x raps is too much. Just left after an awkward and bewildering conversation thinking how needlessly weird that was. I guess I won't bother again.

Yelp
Very cool little cocktail bar with a distinct prohibition era theme- including the building frontage, which makes it look disused. Don't be put off though- simply knock on the door and someone will let you in. Inside its really nice, if a bit small- be prepared to stand if it's busy. The bar offers beers and spirts , but I'd recommend trying the cocktails from the prohibition 'menu'...

Yelp
One of my favourite bars in Liverpool. The setting and atmosphere is brilliant. Great place to go on a date or for a catchup as its quiet and relaxed. Drinks are great and (surprisingly) reasonably priced. It's only small however so may have to wait for a table but it's definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Possibly the best cocktail bar in Liverpool but a hidden gem : through an unmarked door via a doorman who limits access according to table availability. The atmosphere is discreet and welcoming with interesting decor and background music allowing conversation. The mixology is amazing and I would fully recommend this bar.
