Berthelot Hotel

We had a good stay at Hotel Berthelot. The room was comfortable and the overall experience was pleasant. Breakfast was good with a decent selection. The location is very convenient and well-situated for getting around Bucharest. One downside was the lack of free parking, even their underground parking is paid, and there was no kettle in the room, which would have been a nice addition. Overall, a good hotel in a great location, with a few small areas for improvement.

Location is good but that's it. Room good size and looks refurbished but don't let you be fooled by them. We stayed just 1 night bu enough for an impresion: staff not very interested on customers and the most important we saw bugs in the room on the bed sheets and on the table. Disgusting, very disappointing. Never a stars hotel. Doesn't deserve the stars. We will never come back to them. I don't recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. One of the staff came out and parked our car for us! In the rain! And the dining staff accommodated is by staying open just a bit longer so we could have some dinner. |The room was perfect; clean, comfortable beds, hot showers. And the location was perfect; it was about a 20 minute walk to all we wanted to do downtown. (In the rain...)

I was the photographer at a wedding preparation that took place at this location. The room wasn’t so big but it had style. I could do my shots, no problem. This is the vibe. The hotel staff were also very nice.

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Bucharest and still I could find parking space for my rental car nearby the hotel at all times. Rooms are clean, spacious enough and breakfast was on the better side of the average.

Very nice place to stay. Near the center, very quiet, clean. Very good breakfast and very friendly workers. We shall visit it again, no doubt. 4.9/5.

Good hotel for the price. Rooms are a bit outdated, but clean and nice. Location is very convenient

Great value for money. Rooms were a good temperature, TV had many english channels, water was hot and powerful. Rooms got cleaned regularly. The breakfast did what its supposed to and set you up for the day. Usual bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast etc alongside some fruits, cereal, cheeses and meats. Very limited but did the job nicely. The gentleman on the reception was very polite (older guy) and was happy to help, however the older receptionist lady was a bit abrupt and seemed a little ruder than the others (I only stated my own surname as it took me a while to understand that she was trying to say it, and her face was one that said "yeah, same thing") but this couldve been a language barrier. I know zero Romanian so it could just be my personal perception. Other than this, I have absolutely no complaints.
