BERVIE GUESTHOUSE

What a fantastic find! I recently stayed at this family-run guesthouse and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warmth and friendliness that made me feel right at home. The family clearly takes immense pride in their guesthouse, and it shows in every detail. The rooms were impeccably clean and cozy, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious! It was a fantastic way to start the day. To top all this off, the location is fantastic. You are right beside the beach and the grounds of the guesthouse hosts a beautiful garden equipped with a coffee shop. Perfect! My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!

You couldn't get any better. Elizabeth and John were great hosts. A very warm welcome from Elizabeth. We had a sea view room and we were very lucky with the weather. The room, beautiful and top class finished and so clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. A beautiful breakfast and a great selection of everything. The guest house has a great history and it was great to here about it from John. I'd recommend this guest house to anyone. We'll be back. Adrian and Ruth

What a wonderful place! Amazing welcome and hospitality from Elizabeth and the food is just incredible, top quality breakfast and make sure you have dinner, spectacular. Perfect location and lovely garden out onto the beach. Room very comfortable but fairly basic, no tea/coffee making facilities. Bed was lovely though. Thank you so much!

Staying at Keel Camping in our motorhome, all the recommended pubs closed. Our wedding anniversary, called into Bervie to book afternoon tea as the next best option. It turns out they served dinner to non residents as well. What a find, wonderful meal overlooking Keel Bay at what’s more my wife saw dolphins. A perfect and very unexpected find

This special place is an amazing find on Achill Island. The location right at the end of Keel beach is the best. You can walk out the door and step right onto the beach. The staff were absolutely great and made you feel so welcome. Elizabeth went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The food was fabulous both at breakfast and dinner.

Such a cool place. Food quality, selection and presentation was remarkable. The hospitality was phenomenal. And the cutest boils eggs I’ve ever seen! Thanks John & Elizabeth!

My wife & two young kids and I had a lovely stay in Bervie guesthouse last week. Location is excellent & facilities are really good. Food & service also top class.

Ok so picture this: You have just finished an epic 5 and a half hour drive. You are now sitting in a peaceful garden with a cup of tea and some homemade orange and spice shortbread. You close your eyes and feel the scorching sun washing over you and the sounds of not so distant waves are drumming out a relaxing beat against the shore. That was my welcome to the Bervie guesthouse on Achill. The place itself is beautiful with years and years of love infused into it. The rooms are bright, airy, clean and comfortable and the hosts are lovely people. They do an awesome deal for a weekend B and B with one night's dinner for around 160 Euro. This is all great but I haven't even started talking about the food yet. The breakfast was out of this world. Proper full Irish and every ingredient tasted fresh and delicious. There was a great buffet option as well with cereals and fruit etc as well as some lighter options like poached eggs and Salmon. Then we had the dinner. Wow. Best food I have tasted in an age. I had confit duck, lamb sausage and haricot beans for starter. Steak, amazingly done, with mushrooms infused with wine and veg and mash and roast spuds. Followed by a passionfruit crème brulee. I don't think I can even describe how good this food was but you can see the pics for a rough idea! The whole guest house is superb, right on the beach in one of the most spectacular spots in Ireland. I will be back, lots and lots. I cannot recommend this place enough! I'd give it 10 Stars if I could!

We stayed at the Bervie on our honeymoon in July 2013. We could not have asked for a better B&B, a better location, or a better hostess. It had been unseasonably hot for Ireland so I had not packed adequately and purchased some shorts and t-shirts for the 85 degree weather. By the time we arrived in Keel I had worn all the clothes I purchased so we asked Elizabeth if there was a laundry nearby to wash them. She would not think of it, she took the clothes and washed them for us. I'm extremely particular about my laundry, I only air dry my clothes and Elizabeth was so accommodating to hang them outside to dry. The room was perfect and only finished second to the amazing views from our window. The beds were as comfortable as home, the beach is only 200 meters outside your door, and Elizabeth even got us a bottle of wine to enjoy as we watched the night fade over the ocean. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience.
