The hotel service was excellent—just like the positive reviews on Google—and truly provided great emotional value. As travelers, we also showed our appreciation by tipping the staff, and our child even wrote them a thank-you note. Cám ơn ☺️
To make the last part of our trip more relaxing, we specifically chose a hotel in the Old Quarter with an on-site spa, hoping to stay in and unwind.
However, I feel that the hotel’s spa still has room for improvement, especially in terms of service options. For example, there were no offerings related to Vietnam’s unique hair-washing culture, nor were there foot or full nail care services. (The staff explained that the manicure service provided was only a complimentary hand manicure for hotel guests.)
The nail technician was not a full-time staff member, so the appointment time kept changing, and it was not possible for two people to enjoy the manicure at the same time. Despite this, we remained very polite and cooperative.
When we shared with the spa staff that it was a pity there were not more spa service options, the response we received implied that the spa services were designed mainly to support “hotel occupancy marketing,” and that if we wanted other services, we should “choose an outside spa.”
For a hotel with such high overall ratings, I found the spa management and staff’s response to be disappointing and lacking in professionalism.
This is the reason why I gave 3 stars for the spa service on Google.
