The main highlight of this hotel is the location since it is in Lisbon's shopping street. Other than that, everything else is very basic. Room size is standard and the room is quite bare. While the experience is not bad, it did not add any value to our stay in Lisbon. The staff is the lowlight. They are cold and not the friendliest. They don't make any efforts to interact with the guests, especially those at the reception even if you pass by them every single time. During our 4-day stay, no one greeted us. Our check out time was very early in the morning because of our flight and we asked for help with our luggages. We called the reception and he said he can't help us because he is just alone. Still, he ended up helping us which we appreciate. While it is not his fault that he is the only staff at that time, this isn't really the kind of service you expect from a 4-star hotel. For the same value, there are better hotel options

This hotel is in a very central location - right near a metro and the start point for many of the day tours. The rooms are pretty spacious and have great views of the old town. The rooms are also very clean and well presented. The reception/ concierge are professional but not particularly warm or friendly which was a different experience to other Lisbon hotels.

I stayed here by myself in 2016 and remembered it as comfortable and convenient. I recommended it to my husband when we returned to Lisbon together this spring. It is not the same place. ||On arrival, we were not welcomed warmly. The only greeting was, "Your room's not ready." Throughout our stay, front desk personnel were always talking among themselves. We were never greeted or acknowledged as we passed through the lobby. Staff were not helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations. They were downright irritable when we had difficulties with our room door. ||Our room was dark and depressing. There was no dresser or any drawers, thus no place to put items other than to keep them in our suitcases. The amenities were limited and were not replenished. There was shampoo, but no conditioner. There was no soap or bath salts for the bathtub. The bed was saggy.||There are now many hotels to choose from in the same area as Bessa. Ignore Bessa. You can do much better.

We have stayed for 3 nights as family. We had 2 rooms. Rooms are very clean. Team is very kind and helpful. Location is perfect. We had breakfast, it was perfect. We suggest everybody for a comfortable accomodation. Thank you Bessa Hotel ……..

Stayed for a long weekend with my teenage family, hotel is very well located with most places in easy walking distance. Our family room was fantastic, spacious, comfortable, quiet and luxurious. Breakfast had a great selection to choose from. Staff are pleasant and present but didn't particularly add to the stay.

Excellent! We had a great family trip. The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The room was huge, beautiful and spotless. The location was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend. Very clean hotel.

5 stars for this modern, beautifully maintained hotel with friendly staff. Very pleased with my stay at Bessa, which is located at a prime location in Lisbon surrounded by high-end shops, cute streets and accessible to metro and bus station if you're planning on taking tours or exploring the city on your own. Very clean! I'll definitley go back

The hotel was great, its just about the spa/wellness. There was one small pool, and two small saunas. The sauna was on a different floor than the pool.
