Stayed here a week before Christmas and it was a lovely stay. Booked a triple room which was comfortable for three adults. Staff was super friendly and helpful and room was cleaned well every day. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. A variety of options and fresh fruit. Coffee wasn’t great (machine) but lots of cafes nearby. Location was central and very good. Took an uber everywhere including to Sintra and back (less than 25 euros each way and easier than the metro since I traveled with my elderly mom). Indoor pool is very small and not heated so used it only once. Indoor sauna and steam room next to gym but takes 30 min to heat up (small room for one or two at a time) so I suppose you need to get it heated while you work out at the gym next to it. Would recommend the hotel for the quality of service and ease of getting around Lisbon. Also appreciate the Tv has Google chromecast so you stream to the tv from your device if you have chromecast too.

Located centrally in the downtown Lisbon area, this place has everything to offer. Metro lines, bus lines, usually an elevator are a jump away - you can see them from the windows. Get anywhere in the city from here! Service was phenomenal. Unsure what to expect as an American overseas for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to see exceptional service. Room service changed sheets daily and efficiently, the front desk was helpful for navigation, and the bar area was highly friendly! Especially Rute and Paulo, who served us many a Sagres. Thank you both for putting up with us loud Americans! The rooms were fabulous. Pullout couch, main bed, enormous bathroom with walkin shower. Beautiful view overlooking the busy street, couldn't ask for a better room in this location. Cannot reccomend this hotel enough!

Bessa Hotel is a fantastic boutique option in downtown Lisbon. I chose it because of its location, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s about 15–20 minutes from the airport and within walking distance of downtown attractions, shops, and key landmarks. It’s also extremely convenient if you’re planning day trips to Sintra, Fátima, or city tours — most pickup points are right on the street, directly across from the Hard Rock Café.|The hotel has a small pool, but it’s perfect for cooling off and relaxing between sightseeing stops. The breakfast buffet is excellent and has a wide variety of options, which even my picky teenagers enjoyed. The staff are warm, friendly, and speak English. My wife is fluent in Portuguese, and they loved chatting with her, it made our stay even better.||The hotel sits along Avenida, where there are plenty of hotel options, but Bessa stands out thanks to its modern style and great location. You don’t need to drag your suitcase up steep Lisbon hills since it’s right on the main street, surrounded by luxury shops and restaurants. We booked two rooms, and the staff kindly placed us on the same floor. Room service was great, reasonably priced, and the food was genuinely good.||Everything about the stay was great. The only caution I’d mention is the bathroom layout. The rooms have sliding glass bathroom doors, and in my kids’ room, they opened toward the main entrance. The shower floor is made of composite material, which can be slippery if you’re using soap. It’s not a major issue for most people, but anyone with vertigo, mobility concerns, or balance issues should take extra care. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience.

Amazing hotel, in a great area with authentic restaurants at the top of the hill and designer shops at the bottom. The hotel is actually better than the pictures, room is very spacious the pool and sauna is lovely and the downstairs area is nice to do some work if not a tad noisy at times but I like the background noise :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Bessa Hotel. It is located in an excellent location in the center of LIsbon. My room was comfortable and super clean.||The buffet breakfast was varied and had plenty of options. The service was polite and friendly. I also felt that the Bessa Hotel was reasonably priced.

This is a stunning hotel. I was visiting with 2 friends. It is in a very good location. The decor is beautiful. Our room was great with 2 single beds with an additional bed added. It was spotless and the bathroom was great also.|The staff were very friendly and helpful, the receptionist gave us step by step directions to get to Cascais. |Another staff member organised our taxi back to the airport.|I can't wait to go back to Lisbon with my husband and we will definitely be staying here.|I will recommend it to everyone I know!!

A wonderful hotel ideally located in the centre of Lisbon. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and the same goes for the bar, reception area, restaurant and lounges. Above all the staff in all areas of this hotel were fantastic and made our stay all the better. I would highly recommend it and will definitely return.

The hotel is right in the heart of Lisbon — the location couldn’t be better. The place itself is absolutely wonderful: stylish, modern, and very comfortable. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, bright, and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was super quick and easy. Breakfast was really good and a perfect start to the day. I’d like to give special mention to one of the restaurant staff who welcomed us at breakfast (unfortunately I don’t know his name). He was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive, which made mornings feel extra pleasant. The restaurant service in general was excellent, and the food was delicious. A fantastic hotel that I’d be happy to come back to again!

Se arrived July-19 and this was our home for 4 days .the staff were very friendly and helpful the moment we check in.we asked her any good restiaurant to celebrate my grandnephew s birthday and we enjoyed the food and ambiance of the restaurant .Today we had llunch in their restaurant and we were served well the pasta my grandniece ordered was delicious and plentiful and my niece tuna sandwich was delicious as well and so was my hamburger in their own bun.Our server was very attentive .

We decided to extend our vacation to a couple more days so we told front desk when we checked in. Then they called us when we got to our room to ask if we can transfer to a different room for the last 2 days of our stay. Since the additional last 2 days reservation was of short notice we agreed to move to a different room. The 2nd room room looked exactly the same as the first one so we wondered why we had to transfer. We found out the difference between the rooms when we started using the bathroom. The toilet was clogged and the water in the shower suddenly turns cold. We were transferred to a room with a defective bathroom. Nothing was free not even the coffee nor a bottle water. Front desk was not courteous. They don't greet you when they see you. They will not even smile. The lobby's front door malfunctioned. It suddenly closed as i was walking out and hit me twice. The front desk people did not even approach me and ask if I was ok. They just looked and did not say a word. Location is great but I won't be coming back. Not worth my money.

Superior, excellent hotel staff, from the front desk to the bell hop. They go out of their way to get you situated, help you find your way & make you feel welcome. Need directions to the downtown, ask, the concierge will grab a map, show you your route & you're off exploring. The room was very well appointed, from the sheets on the bed, the towels in the bathroom and the pillows. The type of pillows that conforms to your head, so you're not waking every so often attempting to get comfortable. The bed was just as cozy, medium, as in not too hard or soft. Cleanness, just about perfect, given I'm a neat freak. They have a restaurant on campus as well, which is not well publicized. Tasty, scrumptious, well worth trying. It might be out of the comfort zone, but well worth the adventure. Scallops on a bed of lime risotto, mixed green salad, fresh bread served with olive oil & balsamic vinaigrette or butter, just let the wait staff know your preference. Wait staff was just lovely, will assist you in getting to know the menu & help with recommendations.

Wow I can't believe that this doesn't have only outstanding reviews. We adored our stay here. The beds were insanely comfortable, the staff highly professional, we had a little balcony overlooking a quiet backyard, and they gave us free cold water bottles each day. The fridge was big enough to fit an entire bottle standing upright, so we often had snacks and drinks in the room. The location was perfect and we walked everywhere! Our favourite hotel of the many we stayed at in Portugal.

Nice facilities and location, but staff is rude. Everyone else in Lisbon have been wonderful. Not here.

I am writing this review after having a wonderful check in experience with an extremely friendly lady and the room is great in terms of amenities and cleanliness. However as of now which is an hour into my stay I have made multiple calls to get the AC fixed and have had zero luck. The staff is treating me like I'm stupid which really irritates me. They sent up two ladies to help me and they turned up the temperature giggled and walked out. The manager then came up and said they thought I wanted it warmer. He just left the room and said wait 20 more minutes then he would consider addressing. If this turns around I will adjust my rating up from the 1 star it's currently at but 5 stars is also no longer an option. My early assessment is this hotel needs leadership.
