Parking was easy and convenient, as we were able to park in the hotel’s courtyard free of charge. This was a definite positive.||For the most part, the hotel was good: the room was clean and the air conditioning worked well. However, what left the strongest impression was the staff’s lack of flexibility in a couple of situations.||First, during breakfast, all the small tables were occupied, and the only available seating was at a large table that had been reserved for a group—even though no one was sitting there. We tried to discuss the situation with the staff and suggested we could sit there temporarily until the group arrived or another table became free. But the staff wouldn’t allow it under any circumstances. They insisted we come back later, even though breakfast was being served and we already had food on our plates. This left a bad impression.||Second, the hotel’s website mentioned laundry service, so I went to ask about it at the reception. I was told there was a self-service laundry available for €4. We had our own detergent with us, but the staff insisted that only detergent capsules could be used. So we had to go out and buy those. On our second attempt, we then learned that coins were required to operate the machines—information that hadn’t been shared earlier. So, off we went again to get change. In the end, the washing and drying worked fine, but it was unnecessarily complicated.||Overall, it would have been helpful to have some basic information about the hotel’s services available in the room. There was nothing, so we had to ask the reception for everything. A printed info sheet, like in many other hotels, would have made things easier and helped us avoid the confusion around laundry, for example.
