I went with my partner yesterday afternoon for a late lunch. The blue cod was very tasty, a crispy batter and the fish fell apart so easily. Special compliments to the one man army running the registers, phones and food. She did a great job making sure we were still looked after while quite busy.

A modest cafe but very clean throughout. Went with the seafood platter to taste as much New Zealand as possible. All was delicious. Presentation is simple but perfection. Worth the trip even if it was 13,000 KMs !

Food was great. Bluff oysters were nice and fresh all the food tasted well cooked. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The ice cream afterwards was so good. The cherry on top of an amazing dining experience.

The food is good, tasty. We had Blue Cod (2 piecrs) pan fried with fries and coleslaw, and Blue Cod (1 piece) crumbed with fries and salad. The bill was a bit expensive. Staff was very friendly.

SENSATIONAL ... my wife had the gluten-free battered Blue Cod (with chips and coleslaw). Very tasty and excellent portions. Oh, their finely shredded coleslaw is divine. I had a tasty whitebait pattie that was prepared to a gastronomic delight standard.

Excellent food cooked the old-fashioned way, homemade chips and a coleslaw with a vinegar type dressing. Also, complimentary bread and butter! And vinegar on every table! Good drinks selection too

Have been there I'm the past for a meal in the diner which was fine. This time decided to get takeaways. And I agree with some other reviews chips were not pleasant and the fish although cooked well was rather expensive for it's size.

Probably the worst food I’ve eaten since coming to New Zealand. I ordered the Blue Cod with a serving of chips each for my wife and I. She wouldn’t touch it! Fish was so greasy you couldn’t taste any fish and the chips looked like they were refried again after another customer had left them! The price was $38 NZ dollars with a tub of tartare sauce… $54 NZ dollars if you wanted to eat in! Never recommend this place.
