Best in Class Barbershop

Emmanuel is a life saver! Decided to get a haircut at first from this Chinese barber in Chinatown and boy did they mess it up. I wish I had a picture but it was so bad. The hair was very uneven and lopsided. Decided to come to best in class today. Emmanuel did an AMAZING JOB! Not only did he give a good haircut, we had a great conversation together. I’m super happy I found this barber. I will definitely be back 100% $65 for men’s hair cut. He’s doing gods work! So grateful that he fixed my messed up hair. I LOVE YOU.

My husband goes to Best in Class Barbershop in SoHo like clockwork. No surprises. No “let’s try something different.” Just Manny. I have strong feelings about haircuts. A bad one is immediately noticeable. A good one should look effortless. Manny understands this. The cuts are clean, precise, and tailored… sharp without being flashy. The fade is exact. The shape works with his face. It grows out properly, which tells you everything. He looks polished but not overly groomed, which in New York is a skill. The shop has that quiet downtown confidence. No theatrics. No over-talking. Just people who know what they’re doing.

My fiancé gets his haircut here all the time, and every single time he comes home, I’m so impressed with how good it looks. Manny is seriously talented — you can tell he’s a perfectionist because every cut is super clean and precise. Whenever I go with my fiancé, Manny is always so kind and generous. Great men's hair cut! Manny was generous with scotch and I felt well taken care of. They guy is a barrel of laughs, a pro with hair cuts and just a cool dude to spend a half an hour with. Go see him and tell him 77 sent you :)

My go-to barber for more than 3 years. Always the best haircuts for less than what other neighborhood barber shops charge. Every single time, I get a perfect cut. It's convenient that I usually can walk in and get a cut without an appointment. I highly recommend Best in Class!

Walked in bc there was an open chair. Was greeted kindly. I said full transparency I only have 10-12 minutes as I have to get back to work, but I think it can be done. I'm just looking for my edges to be cleaned up. (Basically some hair coming over the ears type stuff) He said not a problem at all. It'll be 50$ cash only. I said 50? He said yes or you can go to the Italian guy across the street. So that's what I did. I went to Xtreme cuts on Sullivan and paid 20$ and was done in 8 minutes.

Moved to NYC in the summer and needed to find a new spot for haircuts. Did a little research and found this place with very pleased reviews. And now I know why! I waited until after my 4th cut just to be sure. Because I know we have all experienced inconsistency with cuts before, Manny is the solution. I don't know how he remembers people and their hair, but he is a steel trap. A long-time New Yorker, Manny is from Moscow. A wealth of knowledge and perspective. If you want one, you can get a good story and a good laugh as well. Haircuts very reasonable at $42. You can also get the works (beard trims, shampoo, massage, etc) if you want. I was lucky to find Best In Class Barbershop.

I have been coming to see Manny for six months now, and he consistently provides a fantastic haircut. The barbershop itself is very new/clean, and the prices are very reasonable for New York City. Unlike some barbers I've been to in the city, Manny listens very carefully to my instructions and is extremely thorough throughout the process. He probably spends an extra 10 minutes with me compared to the other places I've been, and in my opinion, it really makes all the difference. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a barber in the Soho area.

So, I just moved to Connecticut from Los Angeles in October. I guess where I live you either know how to style hair or you know how to give a fade..but not both. I had a little staycation in the city to get away from the country and realized I needed a little trim. Stumbled on this unassuming little spot in soho and thought I'd take a Chance and get my hair did. Manny is five star all the way! He knew exactly how to cut my super thick straight Asian hair and did a sick fade as well as styling the top perfectly. He was so fun to talk to. Made me feel really relaxed. We chatted about NYC and LA and our favorite places to eat. He recommended a thai restaurant and some pizza spots and a park I could sit and enjoy it. Man , Just all around great barber shop with great service . I cannot recommend Manny more highly. So the good: amazing haircut!!! The bad: I have to drive 90 minutes to get a great trim

I have recently relocated to NYC for business and needed a barber to go to. I found this place through Yelp and noticed it had good reviews, and it's location was also convenient for me. As soon as I arrived, 5 minutes prior to my appointment, I was greeted by Manny, who was really nice, offered something to drink, and engaged on a personal level making sure I got what I wanted. I went for a haircut and beard trim, and got that, and a whole experience. I highly recommend Manny and his high standards to anyone looking for an experienced barber. I will definitely be back, and hope to become a regular.

Hell yes. Great barber, great conversation, great community. Me and my friend both get our hair cut here and we have very different hair. You cannot go wrong for a cut, shave, lineup, trim. Whatever you need, you have an experienced professional at your service with usually a very short wait. Best in Class is best in Manhattan in my opinion, especially for such a fair price.

I'm posting this review on behalf of my boyfriend since he doesn't have a yelp account: Going to Manny is more of an experience than just a regular haircut. He warmly greets you and offers you a drink when you come in. He allows you to feel completely comfortable while conversing about many different topics as if you've known him for years. And of course, the haircuts are great. He listens to the kind of style you want and always does a 10/10 job. I've been consistently going to Manny for the past 4 months and am always extremely satisfied!

I tried to go here for a neck trim and was denied service because I am female. The service I asked for is not uncommon for men or women sporting short hair.

I love coming here! Best haircut I ever had. Now, I'm coming here every two weeks. Manny makes it an enjoyable experience.
