This place is dense, but a veritable treasure trove. We walked in on a Sunday evening and asked how much longer they were open. The proprietor said "we're closing, but it takes me some time, please come on in!" So friendly, so welcoming. So we didn't take too much time exploring every nook and cranny - but you absolutely could. Everywhere you turn, there is something interesting from some different era. Clothing, toys, pictures frames, electronics, jewelry, chests, accessories, mementos... Just so much to see and explore to truly perhaps remind you of the Best of Times.

I love Best of Times! It’s seriously my favorite antique/vintage shop. I love making gift boxes full of trinkets and the owner Laurie is an absolute gem at picking out fun pieces for you! There’s always new amazing pieces in the shop and it’s a treat to chat with the super sweet owner and her black lab Tanner! Keep in mind - there is a $20 minimum for card, so bring cash if you’re looking for a small trinket. Bring a friend and have fun exploring!

I absolutely loved this shop!! I snagged some really pretty things, like a vintage Louis Vuitton sweater and a Ted Baker dress. The woman who was there manning the shop was also very sweet! I will definitely keep this place on my next vintage store list!

This is the greatest antique store I’ve ever been in. Prices are reasonable, the inventory is so unique and interesting. The owner couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. I love shopping here and will be customer for life. Truly a gem in Burbank. A must visit!

Google
This unique and wonderful antique store has many wonderful finds. The owner is extremely gracious and helpful. She does her best to find what you're looking for in her unique store. She guided me to everything I needed with grace and wonderful stories. I came back to Pennsylvania with wonderful memories and gifts that are treasured! I thank her and encourage her to keep doing what she does best. Share your energy!

Google
Such a cute antique store! Definitely gives off "Good Witch" vibes <3 I was on my lunch break and decided to take a gander over there. I found that I was talking to 3 amazing women and greeted by a beautiful dog name Tanner. I have to come back soon on my day off to take a better look at all the treasures! There is something there for everyone and at fair prices :D Look forward to going back!

Google
I had a great time shopping at the store! I randomly went in and I loved it. There are so many cool trinkets and such. I met a handsome doggo named Tanner, which made the experience even better! I bought an old typewriter. Everything is reasonably priced, which was something I wasn't expecting.

Yelp
if my brain was a store, this would be it! best store on magnolia by far! i could spend hours there!

Yelp
Only come here if you like being followed around like you stole something. My daughter was quietly playing on the floor with a vintage phone and she was approached by the lady that worked there as if she stole something. She also followed me around and kept a watchful eye.

Very disappointed saw a fur jacket fell in love it was 700$ but the lady said she would take 500$ if we came back in a month we came back and she said she couldn't sell it for 500$ we drove 7 hours to come back to this store she said come back another time and for that you lost my business

Yelp
I make art from found objects and have been going here since the place opened across the street. I've found so many things that were perfect for a sculpture there. I sometimes stop by just to get an inspiration for my next piece.

Yelp
This is a wonderful gem among collectible and antique stores. They have a broad and interesting variety of arts, antiques, collectibles and decorative items. My most recent purchase was a German porcelain pipe and as a dealer myself, I appreciate that the store offers prices that are fair and reasonable enough that I can resell my purchases to my private clients.

Yelp
An antique collector's Sanctuary! Whenever I go in here I feel at home. Laree is an absolute sweetheart and makes you feel so welcome. I try to visit whenever I am in Burbank. I've gotten some really unique things from this place! 10/10

Claudia A.

Yelp
I have been dropping in here for many years and have found a few treasures that grace my home. Yesterday while roaming around the store I came upon the perfect table for my living room, it was kismet! Beautiful carved Victorian (Eastlake?) with a granite top. Laree helped me load it up and that granite was heavy! It's one of my go to places when wandering around Magnolia. Thanks Laree!

Yelp
Best of Times is the greatest antique shop in Burbank, if not the whole of Los Angeles. The shop owner is very knowledgeable about each item in her shop. The best prices in town, she doesn't price gouge. I've found many beautiful pieces in her shop throughout the years. I pray that she doesn't go anywhere..especially in these trying times, where our precious small businesses are having a challenging time trying to stay alive. Small businesses in Burbank is what makes Burbank so special! Let's support them!

Yelp
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... But it's mostly just the best of times at Best of Times. Best of Times is like your grandma's attic on steroids... or at least a ton of protein shakes. Featuring one large room cramped and filled to full capacity; you will find yourself having to perform fancy maneuvers resident on "Dancing with the Stars" to not step on the shoes, purses, small clothing, jewelry, rugs, china, sunglasses, clocks, rocking horses, and so forth. This is the ideal definition of "One man's junk is another man's treasure". The best part of Best of Times is the extremely extensive collection of antique, costume, and vintage jewelry. From Victorian to 80s, it is all covered. Cases and cases of jewelry outnumbering the collections at any of the neighboring vintage stores. Certainly the place to come for vintage jewelry lovers. However, the prices are a bit drastic. I found a "Victorian" pendant that I am certain is from the 70s revive of Victorian dress and yet it was still priced at $90. That is outrageous when I am positive it is not actually Victorian although still vintage. Plus, when I asked the store-owner for help to unlock the case so I can get a better look; she used a very snotty tone saying "It's $90 firm. You are in the expensive case" in such a way that she assumed I can't afford that. How does she know how much money I had to spend? Regardless, I certainly don't want to spend it in her store if she is going to act like that. I tried to ignore it and start a pleasant conversation about jewelry and she obviously realized that I know what I'm talking about and literally made a snorting sound. Great goods, but very poor service.

Jessica T.

Yelp
What a magical store! The way it is organized it so full of kooky artistic vision- feels like an attic of goodies and fun stuff around every corner. Both my and my boyfriend were able to find a couple of of items that are great. The shop owner was also really cool and fun to talk to. I could have spent hours looking through everything here.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
Wow I've driven by this a thousand times and always wanted to go inside. Well today I did. The cashier/owner was very friendly. Said hello and offered to open any cases if I was interested. Oh hell yea I'm interested. Holy cow, there are so many amazing items inside. Lots of everything, especially jewelry and tea cups. Nice. I didn't find what I was looking for today but I will certainly be back!
google avatar

Joy C.

Yelp
I stopped in here yesterday just to look around, what a wonderful experience ! I didn't find what I was looking for although I found great conversation and even learned a few things. I will be back to check in from time to time. Such a welcome environment and fascinating finds. Great store, I highly recommend.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this shop as it looked so inviting from the outside, however the experience once we entered the shop was anything but hospitable. We were greeted by a woman who I can only describe as Bea Arthur's long lost sister, with Dorothy Zbornak's fashion sense (hey there, Golden Girls fans) ... I was trailed like a thief in the night, through the entire visit, I couldn't even enjoy looking at the merchandise, which is reminiscent to every decade before 1990...pottery, brickabrac, paintings, clothing, shoes, mirrors... prices are on the high side. My friends were busy having a private conversation in the corner, as I strolled through the shop and walked right out the door...and Bea followed me outside, I didn't even touch an item on a shelf, let alone pick anything up, so I have no idea how she thought I stole anything. Needless to say there are many other antique, vintage stores on Magnolia Blvd that have friendly service, reasonable prices, and let the shoppers... actually shop in peace.

Yelp
Looking for props here; I always find what I need - it's amazing Laree has kept improving her shop to update styles even during this tough year. Thanks for keeping it stocked with great fine jewelry and clothing as well.

Yelp
Love this vintage/antique store. First discovered it back in 2014. The name fits perfectly, because there's so much stuff to look at and it's always a blast going in there to find new treasures. The owner Laree is super nice and reasonable and is always fun to chat with. Always willing to open jewelry cases if you want to see something or to help you find something if you have a specific item in mind. The prices are also very reasonable. She also always has her two dogs in the store, Tanner, who greets everyone at the door and Betty, who will roll over for tummy rubs. Definitely a gem in Burbank. Go check it out, I could spend hours wandering around in there.

Yelp
My sister and I just happened to stumble upon this store and wow, it's wonderful! The owner is awesome ! She helped us in finding a beautiful quality dress at an incredible price. You'll find amazing stuff throughout the store. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the best place to find good quality vintage items. I always come here for handkerchiefs. There's a wide selection of them. They have clothes, dresses, jewelry, hats, furniture, and more. Laree is so nice! She will help you find what you need and also suggest where you can find more, or how to make something better. A genuinely good person. I love coming here.
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
I love this store! Laree is very nice. I try to make it in at least once a week or A few times a month. There's always something new that I didn't see before! Wonderful selection of jewelry and unique pieces. Her prices are very reasonable and she almost always will give you a deal. Unbelievably she usually knows if she has something in one of the cabinets, so if you don't see something definitely ask her because your treasure may be hidden somewhere you can't see it. Bring cash if you plan on spending under $30....but for a kid in a candy store that might be hard! For the people that say that the owners follow them around, you're coming into a store with ALOT of things things that are hard or impossible to replace and a lot of hidden corners. You're literally asking someone to completely trust a stranger with their livelihood. If it were my store I'd do the same thing. People steal. I'm not saying by any means those people would, I just wouldn't take a chance either.
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
This corner antique shop has TONS o' stuff. You can find everything from glass doorknobs to costume jewelry to classic Maxfield Parrish artwork. The prices seem reasonable and I know that if you pay with cash or check, you can cut a deal. Be prepared to spend a lot of time looking around. My friend was very tempted to buy a classic black telephone - the rotary kind. Downside is that you can't contact any customer service numbers!

Yelp
Have enjoyed this place since finding it many years ago with my mom. I still come back again and again as the owner is always bringing in new items to keep the place fresh with magical finds and treasures! One of the nice things with the store is that the owner, Laree, is usually there -- so you will always get tip-top attention from someone who can tell you all about the items and what may be coming down the road. She has her finger on the pulse of the place, and we have enjoyed talking antiques many afternoons. She has a wealth of information to offer -- just ask. As for the store -- the place is kept in really great shape. It is obviously a labor of love as it is never lacking for new displays, seasonal items and a nice charm. I have found great gifts for the holidays, props for movie production, and gifts for special occasions (and for myself!!). Always nice to have so many options. I have to say if you love people who love pets, you have a friend in Laree, the owner. She fosters pets and is always going out of her way to assist others in finding homes for available abandoned pets. I enjoy seeing her current poochies who sweetly roam and greet visitors. So fun. (I'll post a pic of one of them). Finally, an idea that we have enjoyed -- grab a coffee from the place down the way and bring it back to enjoy in the lovely garden patio behind the store. It is usually shaded and quiet, and makes for a nice place to relax and enjoy your drinks instead of the laptop-heavy coffee shops you are used to. It just might inspire you to take one of the garden treasures home as well!

Yelp
Miss Laree knew just where to find the perfect necklace to complement Granny PottyMouth's wardrobe. It's so much fun to connect to my past in this store and with her.

Yelp
Best of times really has a wonderful selection of antiques, framed art, lighting, linens, jewelry, and much more.... I love the lady who runs this store. She has all of her items priced to sell and wonderfully displayed. If you are looking for a unique item stop in at the best of times.

Tania M.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this while walking on Magnolia and found some wonderful items. Really enjoyed looking around and customer service was great. Will definitely be coming back in the future !
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
One of the best run antique shops around! Always love stopping by here and we almost always walk away with something. The lady that runs it is funny, helpful and always willing to work with the price when she can. You can tell she's been in the business a long time and knows her sh*t. You can also tell she deals with a ton of entitled millenial brats on the daily. But as always...Twas the Best of Times!! My fiance and I have been here with both our mothers on seperate occasions and they loved the place immediately.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The owner and her dogs are just the cutest there ever was! I got my wedding dress here and she was SO HELPFUL and lovely!!!! Every time I come in here I find something amazing! I found my wedding dress which I will be wearing this fall at our castle wedding! One of a kind! And the gentleman below, Jonathan....so sorry you felt that way. She has only ever been nice to us every single time we go in and is always in great spirits with anyone I see her interact with. Maybe she was busy at the moment. I could never her acting like someone couldn't afford something in her store. She is a very lovely and nicely spirited woman. I would try again! So many great treasures in there and you will be missing out of you don't go back:)

Yelp
Awwwww! :) Hubby and I were watching a bunch of TV shows over the span of a week, all dealing with finding old things. Now, while the value of antiques can be pretty cool, we like it more for the look. Love that steampunk style! Anyways, hubby had to go up to the Burbank area to deal with some work, and, as it was the weekend, I tagged along with him. Once he finished his job task, we were on our way to this old town-ish Burbank (it's near Portos!). He had bookmarked this shop, and was very adamant coming here (I didn't check the reviews before I came in), so we parked behind a church (yes, it said we could park there on a Saturday for 2 hours), and walked on over. The store is, of course, chock full of different items ranging from furniture to jewelry to little odds and ends. It's a good size store, and found a lot of porcelain and China pieces that I would have happily taken home, but I don't have any room for those. There were cigar boxes that hubby was interested in, and lots of vintage clothing available. There is some general organization going on, but, for the most part, you just have to search the store for whatever you're hoping to find. Everything's pretty clean. Maybe a layer of dust here and there, but, overall, it's not a gross shop. Very cool. Now, one of the things that I LOVE about this place is how the owner is a proponent of pet love! You will see pictures of dogs posted towards the front of the store, asking people to either adopt, foster, or donate for the well being of these dogs. And, the pictures are informative, providing contact info, and where the pup is at. My favorite part? I was greeted by one of the pups! Extremely well-behaved, the pup basically went around the store, checking who was around, accepting pats on the head, and just making sure that everything was in order. Then the pup went out to the little patio area, laid down, and took a nap. Squee! I love dogs! So, yes, this will be a place that hubby and I will go to. My vote has mostly been swayed because of the pups, but, truly, it's hard to find good, clean antique shops. Prices weren't bad, and there are a lot of other shops in the area to check out.

Yelp
I have been going to this store for years, and it gets better every time. I always go in telling myself I'm not going to buy anything, and leave with multiple necessities. The business owner is soooo sweet, and always helps with whatever I need. Today she so kindly opened multiple jewelry cases for my friend, and I to look through, and brought us chairs so we would be comfortable while shopping! This is by far one of my favorite vintage shops, and the customer service is always so welcoming. I feel right at home while shopping here. If you're visiting LA, or a local its a must see!!
google avatar

J.R. G.

Yelp
The selection is alright. A lot of random things in there, if a bit cramped. Most of what warrants the star count is the service. I'd been in there once by myself before several years ago and gotten a bit of a "what are you doing in here" vibe. I'm a guy in my late twenties. Probably not the usual customer in that shop. Fast forward to about two weeks ago when I went in with my mother and my then fiancée, now wife, looking for a vintage wedding dress. We eyed one hanging up in the air only to be told that it was French and 400 dollars with a very strong insinuation of "can you really even afford that"? Won't be returning anytime soon, so long as that is what passes for service. To echo an earlier review, who is the shopkeeper to assume how much money I have to spend there? I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Ondine A.

Yelp
I love this place! It is a treasure trove of unique items from clothes to jewelry to furniture and more. I've found multiple extraordinary gifts for friends ans family over the years. The best part is the owner who is so gracious and kind. Her doggie is also awesome and sometimes she'll have another pooch that she is fostering. The vibe is amazing and I'm so happy to visit every time I'm in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Wow! One of the last great stores on Magnolia Blvd in Burbank. Thank goodness Best of Times is still around. I love this store. And, what a fantastic owner. She is a doll! Always interesting items in this place. It's like an adventure each time I stop by... I enjoy walking around and looking through the cases. Sometimes I don't have anything specific in mind what I am seeking and that's when I find the best goodies! Go check it out for yourself. I am certain you will find something unique and interesting.

Phoebe S.

Yelp
Best of Times is my ABSOLUTE favorite vintage/antique store in the Burbank area. The shop has always been vibrant and varietal, with unique merchandise and plenty to please and fascinate the eye. After its recent re-organization, it's looking better than ever, and its charming atmosphere and lively owner Laree make every visit a joy. There is everything from furniture to fabric to hardware to ephemera, and of course a beautiful selection of jewelry and accessories of all kinds. Prices are honest, the atmosphere is welcoming, the wares are broad-ranging yet well curated. There is certainly a prettiness to this store's appearance, and antiquers who are lured in by its whimsical cottage-like construction and tall glass windows will certainly not be disappointed! But shoppers in search of more 'masculine' or 'functional' finds should definitely check here too. There really is something for everyone in this surprisingly spacious location. To top it off, the owner is tremendously sweet, and returning to Best of Times always feels a bit like going home to the family. When friends visit me from out of town, I always bring them by for a quick visit. They always leave enchanted! If you like a good treasure hunt, this is the place to be.

Suzie P.

Yelp
I've been coming to shop here for years and have always thought how friendly the owner is. She has never followed me around. She gives you your space to shop and is available if you have any questions. There are hardly any small businesses around and unfair reviews can really hurt a business so I wanted to make sure I let people know my experience and definitely recommend this store if your looking for great antiques and friendly service!
google avatar

Sally G.

Yelp
Fantastic location and a wonderful selection of adorable antique items and my personal favorite.... the rings! They have exquisite jewelry and the price is right for those antique finds! Will becoming back as well as recommending this place to others! And the customer service is fantastic too!
google avatar

Yelp
This store is like going on a treasure hunt. The owners are super nice and I LOVE their sweet dog, who greeted me at the door today :-) I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Ugh! I hate to give 2 stars because there are some fine items in this place and I could spend hours rummaging through everything. My experience as a consumer was awesome, but my experience with the lady who was working there was less than par. I'm a sucker for quality vintage clothing, and I found an amazing out-of-production vintage robe that was in pristine condition. The tag said "$30 FIRM", which was okay by me because it was still a good deal. As I walked around to check out everything there, I realized that the woman was listening to a right winged radio talk show about homosexuality and how it's an abomination. WTF? Everyone has a right to their opinions, but this isn't the type of thing that should be blaring out of your business speakers...at least that's MY opinion. When I was ready to pay and get the hell out of there, the lady asked "Will this be all today?" Honestly, if I hadn't just paid rent, I would have purchased more. I replied half halfheartedly, "That's it for today. I would love to get more, but I need the rest of my money to eat." I'm assuming she thought this was my way of haggling the price when she said "Well, the tag says FIRM!" Whoa! Not what I meant! I quickly paid, grabbed my bag and got out of there. I've encountered many different characters in the vintage/antique business, but this was a bit much for me. Anyway, that's my story and thanks for listening!
google avatar

Yelp
I just furnished my entire brand new house with treasures I found at the best of times. My fiancé and I also had the best of times examining one of the sofas for spring action. Look, yes, the prices might be a tad high but it's certainly worth it, unless you want crappy repop fake made in China crap. So pay up and spend your whole pay check on antiques, you will be happy and that's what matters. All that being said, I must complete the service too. Everyone was friendly but they left me alone to browse around. That I like. Thank you and see you again soon.
google avatar

Adrienne D.

Yelp
This is a neat antique store to browse full of dolls, picture frames, found photos, memorabilia, jewelry- essentially a bit of everything. I've never purchased anything here, but it's worth popping inside if you're on Magnolia Blvd. scouring for vintage finds. Their prices seem pretty reasonable and the items seem genuinely old- not cheap reproductions or things you see everywhere. They will usually ask if you need any help and will leave you alone to browse in peace. There's also a cute black doggie that's usually there napping!
google avatar

Dawn M.

Yelp
BARGAIN BEAUTY!! Oh the finds at this place! The choices are endless. The jewelry selection alone here is just incredible. I always go when I'm in Burbank and have time to kill and/or am looking for something specific. They're always very helpful and encouraging (which I love, love, love). I always leave with more than I had set out for and when I wear a piece or when I have added something to my home decor, I always get asked by friends and strangers, alike, where I got it. Nice. What won't you find? You won't find a lot of junk. Or attitude. Or high prices. What will you find? Just beautiful things at beautiful prices. Stellar customer service and a serious selection. Best of times, indeed.

Yelp
Oh. My. Jacob. I might as well move in, I'm going to be coming here frequently. I originate from the South, where there are just copious amounts of antiques everywhere. Finding an antique store in the South is like finding a Starbucks downtown - they're on every freaking corner. And I've been searching all of LA for something remotely close to an awesome antique shop...THIS IS THE PLACE, rejoice! They have so much stuff that after the first hour I decided to start all over, start from where I entered and walked through again - I was seeing things I hadn't noticed before. You like small figurines from the early 1900s? They have them. Old 16mm cameras and beautiful 1920s Kodak cameras? They have three! Chinese snuff bottles and Buddha idols? They are scattered, neatly, everywhere! Old lighters, flasks, cookie jars, paintings. I was even surprised to see a replica of Bronzino's "Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time" - amazing! I've been looking for antique book ends for months now, haven't found anything I've liked, UNTIL I came here. I'll be damned if those book ends didn't have my initials carved into the wood. It was sign from the antique Gods. I'm pretty sure if you look hard, you'll find the Holy Grail. Best of Times has everything, it wouldn't surprise me.

Yelp
LOVE THIS PLACE! Whenever i feel like getting jewelry for my girlfriend (especially on special occasions like birthday and anniversary) I ONLY COME HERE! THE LADIES LOVE FOREVER 21, but sorry, I have only left this place every time with something original and special and NOT cheap looking! I never had a problem here, love chatting with Laree, she always is so helpful and helps me find the right jewelry. HUGE SELECTION! All the other burbank antique shops are overpriced and have nothing that comes close to this place! I will always keep coming back for more and more... :-D
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
I really liked this antique store. It had TONS of jewelry for reasonable prices, even jewelry that fit my mammoth hands (which is rare). The owner was very nice and friendly, and quite open about what was reproduction and what was not. There were lots of teacups and teapots and other china, as well as lots of home decor, including doilies ($4 a doily? Yes please!), and some furniture. I saw some clothes, but I didn't go through them, and I did see a few shoes and hats. I did not buy anything - financially recovering from paying for my wedding - but my best friend bought a bracelet/earring set, a ring, and a perfume bottle (reproduction) for under $80. If you are into vintage decor or accessories, this is definitely a great place to go!

Yelp
BEST of TIMES is truly a gem! The owner is this tall beautiful kind lady that helps you out and opens countless cabinets filled with treasures!!! She gets new and amazing things all the time.... I have fallen in love with the charm and care that has gone into that place... Some of my favorite and I MEAN favorite Native American pieces have come from best of times. I will post a few to give you an idea of the quality . The owner is always smiling and telling jokes to make you feel at home. I highly recommend stopping by... You might just get lost in there for a while... A very good kind of lost! Lol...

Yelp
The best antique shop I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot! The people who work there are so sweet, helpful and charming! I'd recommend this place to anyone who's into cute antiques! They've got everything! All are gems!

Yelp
I enjoy going into this Antique shop. It's fun to explore and the prices are very decent, especially for Los Angeles. The woman who works there is always nice and helpful. She'll help guide you to whatever you need if you have any questions, and will often help you out if you are within a certain budget. I bought a lamp here years ago, that is still one of my favorites. If you're in Burbank, definitely stop by. Much better than any of the other antique places in the area. She's also open when other's aren't.

Yelp
I just walked out of this place. The woman who greeted us was (perhaps cluelessly) extremely rude to me, engaging in what I regard as needless and hurtful body-shaming. I will not return soon. If you don't prefer unprovoked insults, don't you go either.
