Positive: We love the hotel and the staff. It was perfect for our stay. However, we did not have hot water our entire stay. We were told money would be taken from the bill but we were charge in full Negative: Ice cold shower. They were working on it to be fair. They did have a wedding and were very busy. We u understood. Loved the hotel.

Google
Nice hotel, close to a Riverwalk that was a nice walk. I do think their web page should be updated though, it shows a picture of a pool that isn't there, and it shows that the pub serves lunch but doesn't open until dinner. There isn't anything within walking distance for lunch. The pub does have a very good dinner though, and the menu is pretty diverse.

1 night stay en route to Cape Cod. |The hotel is in a good location if you want to break your journey. A little tricky to find (the slip road) can easily be missed. I consider the $10 car park excessive.|Staff were polite, and the bed & pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was ok. Breakfast was disappointment limited choice, and food that should have been hot was cold. Tables and general breakfast area was untidy (there was only 1 member of staff on) may have been a better experience if more staff available to.monitor food and overall cleanliness. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel to family friends.

Google
I have stayed here several times. The pub is great and proximity to Boston is great (we had a car). Unfortunately, i had a mouse in my room. Based on reviews, this has happened to others, especially if you stay on the ground floor. I was on the ground floor. They would not change my room because the hotel was full. Here is my thought: If you have a mouse problem, always have an empty room.

Google
The room smelled like smoke and musty. Mouse traps behind the furniture. No hot water. Bathroom door was held together with screws. The light switch was broken and you had to be careful not to get electrocuted. We stayed here for a team soccer tournament and if everyone else wasn’t there, we would have left. The only upside was that the food in the bar was good and the bartenders were working their butts off and doing a great job. I have renamed this the Worst Western.

Google
The staff is what makes this place great. Our room had no hot water and I asked to switch rooms. They did with no issues. The breakfast is really good. It's not far from many of the sites. The tranquil view is really amazing

Google
Best thing was breakfast. Real eggs and bacon. Restaurant for dinner had good food but terrible service if you’re in a hurry, which we weren’t. Beautiful water view from room and restaurant with outdoor seating. Gym was trash. Old, broken equipment. Broken cables on machine. Dusty treadmill and elliptical. Dumbbells up to 20# only. Gym is in a small room with no a/c and no fan which I requested. Rooms are old but clean.

We stayed for three nights and overall it was a very good experience! Pros: Our room was very large. I loved how it had a sitting area and a little separate bedroom area. Location was amazing! Few minute uber ride to the north station to get into the city! It was very very quiet. We had late nights and early mornings never heard a peep. Seemingly safe, went out several times to smoke and never saw any "characters" about. Breakfast was really solid! They had things we both liked. The French toast that was part of the selection one morning was really really good! Cons: The elevator!!!! That is the sketchiest thing I've ever seen in my life! Do the stairs... the elevator is legit so sketchy. There didn't seem to be any tv channels aside from minimum local and samsung TV channels. We were not in the room much so it wasn't a huge deal but odd there were no channels. Furniture is a bit dated going to give grace on this as the hotel is currently undergoing what appears to be a decently large renovation. Overall no complaints! The staff was great, breakfast good, location to city was great. If I find myself in Boston again I'd stay again.

Yelp
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel! We were lucky to get a view of the water from our room- which I know not everyone receives. We did not ask for a water view or pay more- though the price was not cheap (we stayed 2 nights and it was almost $500 with taxes and fees). This was much cheaper than staying in Boston proper in June, and only about a 20 minute drive into the city. There is also a train station within walking distance. We did not have to pay for parking, so I am not sure why others say that you do. They do provide a tag for parking to show you are staying at the hotel. We also ate at the restaurant in the back of the hotel one night of our stay, it was really convenient to be able to walk downstairs and get some food and drinks. Its nothing super special, bar type food, but very affordable. The biggest downside is there is nothing to do very close. But if you are looking for a decent place to stay I would stay here again.

Monica D.

Yelp
Here are my pros and cons: Pros: clean, comfortable bed, quiet, bar on premises, free decent breakfast, view from room. Cons: not much around, horrible shower, paid park, price high for quality and location.

John G.

Yelp
Great hotel with a the incredible distinction of being located just a few hundred yards from where the greatest ship in American History was built and launched: the unsinkable Battleship USS Nevada, (BB-36).

Yelp
Supremely dissatisfied with this place. Upon arrival, like at most hotels of repute, the front desk clerk did not speak, which I found odd. As the days went on, I noticed none of clerks I encountered were friendly or welcoming. I chose this place because it's off the bay; however, I didn't get a water view room, guess you've gotta pay more for that. Unfortunately, I was given one of the worst rooms here but reading most reviews, I've come to realize there are a lot of bad rooms. So, I was given room 130 and smelled like mold and mildew when I walked in. It seems like this room may have experienced a flood or some sort of water damage because the smell just wouldn't go away. I called the front desk that evening, no answer. I called the next morning and I'm told they had no rooms available and I would essentially have to wait until someone checks out, wait for a room to be cleaned and then I'll be called. Then the front desk clerk Jess says, I could leave and come back but I'm like leave where? It's 7am on a Sunday, I'm your guest here and a visitor to this city. There was no apology given or empathy shown. These folks clearly do not belong in the hospitality sector because there is absolutely nothing hospitable about them. There is no way this room should've been given to anyone. It should've been taken out of service. I know those housekeepers smelled how awful this was. It's like they used a lot of cleaning chemicals to mask the odor. If that wasn't enough, how about the toilet is broken and running profusely. In order to flush the toilet, I had to stick my hand in the tank to lift the flapper because the chain is broken. This is by far my worst experience at any Best Western and I'll never come back here. Again, this room should've been taken out of service until it's guest ready and not greed appropriate. This place is in need of an overhaul renovation It's a no, never ever again for me. Oh and the food at the pub was meh. I do not recommend this place.

Yelp
To paint a picture with words I would say Alluring, Charming, Captivating, Ravishing, Elegant, and Pulchritudinous. The Adams Inn is where my aunt chose to say "I Do" to her forever. Not only is the location an alluring presentation of visual appeal and serene escape. Denise is an absolute example of what TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE looks like, feels like, and should be like. Her exemplary service that was provided from Day 1 of the walk through all the way to the big day was an absolute experience. It was an honor to work with such a professional who showcased so much pride, care, and dedication to my aunt's big day! Thank you, Denise. The Visuals: Gazebo - Being born and raised in Boston, I never experienced Quincy from this perspective. The angle that the gazebo sits allows for the creation of an island getaway. By day (in the right weather) you are out in the mindset of a personal island engulfed with the ambiance of what your imagination can bring to life. The walk across the bridge from the parking area to the gazebo sets the tone for the arrival into the opening of the gazebo. Beauty upon Beauty upon Beauty surrounds you as the charm of the city view coupled with the surrounding of water captures you in the moment. To walk my aunt into the gazebo and then down the aisle, we are talking about a majestic moment of love filled magic, heartfelt blessings, and undenying charm. Tent - The tents are simple and present as a blank canvas which allows for your creativity to shine. With clean lines and an all white backdrop, this area sets the tone as a visual continuation to piggyback off of the gazebo and natural elements of nature that surround it. As the food is housed (we did buffet style) in a different area, you are able to maximize off of the entire space and blend elements. As if that isn't enough... As we ate, Denise and her team transformed the Gazbo from the intimate Love of my Life setup that it was to the Love themed after party hot spot. Talk about swift work, perfect execution, and a new level of charm after dark!!! Wowsers!!! More than just a wedding. My aunt's big day was transformed into a Love focused, family themed, First Day to the Rest of My Life extravaganza... and to think... All of this happened right over the bridge in Quincy, Massachusetts at the Best Western Adams Inn Quincy-Boston. Wow! Thank you to the staff for making everything perfect. Special THANK YOU to Denise for owning the entire process and making it an experience to remember. Also, thank you to the chef as everyone ate every bite of food. Regardless of if you desire a simple - classic wedding, or an over the top themed wedding, The Adams Inn is the ideal location and Denise is the person to make it happen!!!! Here's to the memories we will have for the rest of our lives!!!! Thank you... #CooperLopesWedding

Yelp
The lobby and rooms were filthy. The continental breakfast was a joke. They kept running out of food every day and we went early. The rooms definitely were not cleaned and they still have the COVID policy in place of only cleaning the rooms and replacing the towels (which they don't give you enough to begin) once during our stay. Parking is $10 a night for an unprotected lot in a horrible area. Do not recommend and definitely not worth the price we paid. Maybe if we paid $75 a night but conditions should be better for almost $300 a night.

Aileen M.

Yelp
Super affordable and pet friendly with waterfront views. Included hot breakfast. Has parking. I'd say the bathroom fixtures could use a little modernization but other than that it was overall good. We needed a place near East Boston and Dorchester and this hotel came in handy. We took our dog and she loved it. Beds were very comfortable too

Red Rooster T.

Yelp
Stayed here in June 2024. Rooms need some general care and upkeep . Elevator was not working first two days . Staff was friendly . Breakfast crew and food good . The pub food was just okay . Service was good.

Scot S.

Yelp
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in some pretty bad hotels. Went to check in yesterday, after check in time, room wasn't ready. It wasn't ready until after 5pm. Finally got I to our room, what a joke. Dirty, bathroom falling apart. Took a shower and it's either hot or cold. No in-between. The next day, got the breakfast. Everything was cold except to toasti made. We out for the day expecting to come back to a cleaned room.......nope. At 5:15,I went to the front desk and asked if my room was going to be cleaned. She said no. TERRIBLE!!! and it's not cheap!! DO NOT STAY HERE. ITS A DISASTER!!!!

Yelp
This was my second time staying here. When there's a family gathering in Boston this is the hotel of (their choice). It's right next to their go to restaurant. The staff at the front desk were all very nice and accommodating. While the housekeeping staff not so much. We had to request towels several times and ended up receiving the towels from the staff at the front desk while the housekeeping staff held a conversation in the hallway. The room which the party was held in was nicely decorated (by the family). The food catered by the hotel was okay the servers were pleasant. It was Christmas so the hotel was nicely decorated. All in all the family had a great time as we always do when we're together.

Yelp
My friend had booked 4 rooms for October 6th, 2024. I stayed in room 130. My friend, who was in the adjacent room (132), and I went to Adam's Pub. We arrived around 8:30 PM, ordered some food and drinks, and initially enjoyed the great location and ambiance. However, there were some major red flags with the bartender, Thomas. 1. We ordered a sandwich and requested no bacon. He acknowledged the request, but when we reminded him, he became visibly annoyed and snapped, saying, 'I heard you the first time.' 2. I ordered two to-go cakes for two families. When the server brought them, one of the cake boxes was open and the lid appeared broken. I politely asked the server to check it, but Thomas came over and, after learning about the packaging issue, screamed at the server in a very rude manner. Even though I told Thomas it was fine, he continued to scold the server, which was completely uncalled for. 3. At around 9:40 PM, I received the check and paid with a 12% gratuity. A couple of minutes later, at 9:42 PM, Thomas returned and rudely told us the bar was closed and that we had to leave (even though the bar was supposed to close at 10 PM and we had just been served beer at 9:35 PM). When we mentioned we still had our drinks, he rudely told us to take them in disposable glasses. We were confused about his behavior but complied. We then sat at a table just outside the bar, near the front desk. At this point, Thomas came up to us and said, '12% tip? Don't ever come back to my bar, find somewhere else.' That's when we realized he had kicked us out because of the tip amount. His behavior was extremely rude and completely ruined our evening. We spoke with Marvin at the front desk, a kind and attentive gentleman. He listened carefully and called the server to verify the incident. The server, who spoke limited English, confirmed the same issues and mentioned how Thomas had also mistreated him. Additionally, two other guests had arrived 15 minutes before closing, and Thomas told them the bar was closed early. Another guest even asked us why the bar was closed before 10 PM, and we told him we were kicked out. This hotel is in such a beautiful location, but even if Adam's Pub is operated by a third party, the hotel management should not tolerate such behavior. It reflects poorly on the hotel and could harm its reputation. Marvin assured us that he would report the incident to hotel management, and I hope they address this unacceptable situation.

Yelp
front desk staff was very nice. the room however, was extremely disappointed- nowhere near what is pictured online- felt like I was tricked. Not sure what sorcery is done to fix the photos online that they post about the rooms. The air conditioning unit was rusted and dirty, shower head was stained, i wouldn't dare putting my bare feet in that shower. Interesting brick wall as one of the walls they don't show you online. The view was of the parking lot, thought it would be of the water :/ Bed was comfy and TV works and has espn and food network. Watched beat bobby flay.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Rate is low and they allow cats, not just dogs. It's an extra $25/night. Staff were nice. They have a bar and nice little patio. Location is convenient near the highway and the restaurants in North Quincy. They have vending machines. The room itself was not great because the rug felt slightly moist and gross. The room switch did not work. We had to turn on each light. The desk light didn't work. The blow dryer in the bathroom didn't work, and the bathroom door had to be forced closed. The breakfast was not the worst hotel breakfast that I've had. Tater tots were very crispy. I somehow never got the requested emailed receipts, but charges showed up in my bank as mentioned.

Paula D.

Yelp
This place is gone down hill. The rooms smell like mildew. I love dogs but the hotel had more then 30 plus dogs and I also seen a cat or 2. The outlets won't hold plugs , laundry from the dirty beds stayed in hallway. Elevators broke had to walk up stairs for whole day. Also flying nets in every room I went into no lies. Beds you can feel the springs. We had an event most of our rooms had to be moved to a different one . The restaurant had good food and Thomas was wonderful. The hotel overall is a zero out of 5. Won't stay here again and for the price I paid with group discount was 189.00 plus tax crazy for all the problems. The one front desk lady was very no friendly ,co signing for the manager. Over all its seemed like homeless people and prostitute lived there also. I can go on about this horrible place

Ralph B.

Yelp
This is our second time staying at this specific Best Western. We were in Boston for our son graduation in May 2024 from Boston University. Our stay at this specific Best Western felt like being at home because the staff made it feel that way. The Front Office Manager, Brenda Salinas , has been phenomenal and very professional. In general the entire staff was pleasant, outstanding and accommodating. Our room was always clean, with fresh linen. Thank you . We give you A++++

Ann R.

Yelp
Very dated, dirty, and too expensive for these rooms. Restaurant food was basic and appetizers burnt. No pool even though it is advertised and pictured in hotel photos. Floors sticky and rugs worn. Pull out couch ripped and dirty. Originally thought it would be a nice stay with waterside view, but didn't work out. Staff at desk friendly.

Laurie M.

Yelp
BEWARE. This hotel covers rooms in air freshener. It's very hard to breathe well. It made me think the rooms are not very clean. The scent is so strong that they should warn people before booking. I've never been in a hotel where it smelled like this.

Bailey T.

Yelp
I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's not a 5 start hotel but it's definitely clean, in a decent location and the staff are very friendly. Yes it could use a facelift but after COVID many hotels could. I was very happy with our accommodations. I think the only negative was that the rooms had a faint smell, but I blame that on the individuals who used the room and broke the no smoking policy, leaving this poor hotel to deal with the problem. This is my 3rd time staying here and we have enjoyed each stay. Thank you to all the staff who served us we know your job is not easy.

Kim C.

Yelp
This is my first time in the East Coast and first time here at this hotel. I stayed at this place on 10/23 to 10/26/23 Now normally I don't like to leave a bad review but this place I have to. The hotel is so dirty in the inside and some part of the outside. Now beside the view of the lake there is nothing nice about this place. Not just that its dirty in the hotel and also in the room. The carpet has stain and feels kinda sticky on my feet when I'm barefoot walking around the room. In the room also have MOUSE RUNNING around at night. When my nephew came to the hotel to visit us around 8:30pm on 10/24/23. He told me he saw something ran by him, and I didn't believe him. (I said it probably a fruit flies.) But later that night after they left, around 10pm I was tired and about to go to bed. I got up to go to the restroom and I saw something ran back and forward real quick. I was nervous and scared. And that just end my tiredness. I went to the restroom and came back out waiting patiently for it to come out. Then I thought of my bag of donuts. I used it for bait. And sure enough Mr Jerry had came out. I caught on video. There is other issues like door doesn't close kinda have to close harder for it to lock. The AC system is so old that it doesn't label hot or cold, fan or Ac. We had a disabled person with us and the bathroom doesn't have disabled ppl accessibility to hold on in the bathroom. Very disappointed and unsatisfied with this place.

Nikk S.

Yelp
Stayed here for Saturday and Sunday and checked out Monday morning. I enjoyed my stay. The employees were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. My boyfriend and I had a room on the second floor next to the gym. The room was very clean and we spent most of the night watching their free movie channel on the tv. The bathroom was very clean as well, and the shower had multiple jets. The complimentary breakfast was great too. They had scrambled eggs, yogurt, juice, sausages, bagels, etc. There was a wide variety of things. The lobby area was really pretty and had a fire place. It was a nice place to relax. The views were also gorgeous! The hotel is right on the water so I imagine in the summer it's even prettier. You can't beat the views! All in all I had a nice stay and would definitely come back.

Katie R.

Yelp
I've been waiting here 20 minutes along with another guy trying to check in to our room. It would be great if there was actually a receptionist working the desk instead of us waiting in front of an empty desk. 40 minutes later and still nobody at the desk so we had to leave and book another hotel at 1:03 am. We will be expecting a refund tomorrow under Ashling O'Callaghan.

Meghann V.

Yelp
The staff was very nice, no complaints about anyone who worked there. However, we had a room that had conjoined doors. Couple next door was screaming at each other and banging on our door. The police came and knocked on our door to ask what was going on. When the police left we could hear the couple talking about "making us pay" in the morning. We had to vacate the room and luckily the nice staff put us in a different room. We will never stay there again.

b l.

Yelp
The place seemed quaint. First night ok. Last night was unacceptable with kids and other juveniles running and yelling playing tag in the hallway in the middle of the night. Had to call front desk 2 times to either shut them down or I'm calling the cops. I should get the last night free. Parents, control your little monsters. Why would I have to call the front desk even once when I'm sure they could hear the noise.

Casey D.

Yelp
Similarly to the earlier review, my husband I and waited a solid 25 minutes at the front desk until someone came to check us in. The room was in rough shape as far as overall cleanliness goes. There were some highly questionable stains on the carpet. Not exactly something I'd feel comfortable walking around barefoot in. The location of this hotel is nice if you're looking for something in Quincy, unfortunately this place just really needs a clean up. We ultimately ended up leaving and booking another hotel. They were understanding and accommodated our refund, which was appreciated.

Kessala D.

Yelp
1st Room assignment a mouse ran across the floor. Second room assigned had mold on the shower ceiling. Room also was not pleasing to the eyes. Falling curtains and damaged carpet. The staff was very helpful in trying to make the stay nice for my family and myself, but I couldn't get pass the mouse.

Denise G.

Yelp
We celebrated our 50th wedding Anniversary in Quincy and our children got us a room here so we wouldn't have to drive 25 miles home after the celebration! There was a power outage in the area so we had to walk up to our 3rd floor room in the dark, it had been 90+ degrees that day and the room was warm, stuffy and smelled like smoke (the power had been off for 4 hours at this point, we should have gotten an notification so we could have made other plans) all I wanted was a hot shower... no hot water, no AC no way to charge our phones ! The power didn't come on until around 5 AM, the AC was a blessing at that point ! I callEd to get a comp on the room since it was not a pleasant stay and was refused since it "wasn't their problem".. well our miserable stay was their problem and I was extremely disappointed in their response! Very very dissatisfied with them to say the least!

Andrew M.

Yelp
There were really a couple things that made this hotel go from 3.5-4 stars to 1. For starters the breakfast was really really high quality which was a surprise for a hotel and it's free. That was the best thing it had going for it self. They charge extra for a waterfront view yet when you wake up in the morning half the water disappears and doesn't come back until 4-5pm so definitely false advertising. After we checked in we left and go explore Boston and then a maid had re-entered our room and tried re-fixing it up. Moving our stuff in the process!!!! The room is as already clean before we checked in. The front desk tried blaming it on the fact they were new and didn't speak English. Sounds like housekeeping is very disorganized. Lastly our AC broke randomly and they changed us rooms which was a major inconvenience. NO COMPENSATION GIVEN!!!!! The lady at the front desk yesterday did not seem to care at all. She just said give me you key and bye. Very very unprofessional. Honestly if you need a quick place to stay passing through it's not bad. For an actual trip I'd recommend staying elsewhere. Also, if you think you are going to get a workout in the fitness center you are wrong. It's probably the worst hotel gym I've ever seen and equipment is 30 years old.

Courtney B.

Yelp
How do you rate something that wasn't terrible, it just was not good? Firstly the photos they advertise are misleading- the hotel definitely has alot of ware and tare. You can see it in the paint, the wood, the rugs and furniture, elevator etc. We walked in to check in (easy and friendly) but was met with a foul smell and down the hall buckets on the floor filled with water, they really need to do some maintenance on this could be potentially great hotel but it just looks like they just don't care. Hotel room was a good size, bed was massive so that was a plus. We went down to the pub for some food- the staff was super friendly but took their time. I got the broccoli chicken alfredo, ate it all....well except the chicken. It looked and tasted as if they microwaved it so i pushed it aside. Husband got a steak with potatoes and asparagus. He enjoyed the steak, but the potatoes had a very weird texture to them- i think they were instant potatoes. Checked out the next day, easy checkout and shuttle to airport was great! Hotel wasnt bad, it just needs some polishing and care.

Peter I.

Yelp
Have written to Best Western company but no response. This is only for the hotel in Albany NY on Woolf RD was never so insulted when I walked into my room and found the bathroom a mess!! The toilet was overflowing. Did complain and was told "Let me get you a coffee" Grossly insulting!!This is in no way about this hotel but I need someone to respond. Thanks for reading this!!

Alanya L.

Yelp
I was pulled into the office for having a shirt with the Best western Logo that was not provided by the workplace. However my boss indicated that I should be wearing the plain Jane shirts given to me. First off with no Logo and short sleeves, in the winter. Makes no sense they expect you to represent the hotel. It lacks management and room quality, plumbing is unexceptional.

Dawn N.

Yelp
We chose this hotel as a park and fly option. The hotel stay was ok, the room could have been cleaner and the lamp in the room did not work (plus there is no overhead lighting). The staff was very nice, hot breakfast was included and very good. The shuttle driver's driving was a bit scary...on the way to the airport he clearly intentionally ran a left red light (he cautioned at the red light, then proceeded to drive thru the left red arrow). In addition, we called for the shuttle upon claiming our bags as instructed and were told 15-20 minutes for the shuttle. It's now been 1 hour and still no shuttle while we've seen 9 red Preflightparking.com shuttles while we are sitting here waiting. Clearly preflightparking.com would have been a better choice. I tried calling the hotel on the special "shuttle phone line" 4 more times, no answer...then a young man picks up and I tell him I'm calling to check on the shuttle from over an hour ago and he puts me on hold and never comes back! I've now called back and asked to speak to the manager John who was very nice. Still waiting on the shuttle!!! Let's see if it arrives. This is pretty poor and we will likely never use this hotel or park and fly option through them again. *uodate- the Manager John was very nice and provided a credit to our charge for our experience. I will add, we had that we arrived at our car at the hotel at 12 noon, 1 hour and 40 minutes after calling for the shuttle (this was far too long). We had the same shuttle driver on the way back who never apologized for leaving us at the airport all that time and who again ran the same red light. It is not legal to turn left on red in Massachusetts and this light clearly has a RED arrow!

Yelp
I just recently stayed here for a conference. I found the check in employees to be a little bit unfriendly, but they did help me when asked. I am just used to being greeted with a smiling face as I travel a lot. I am a picky hotel guest. The lunch/dinner food was very good. I cannot complain about that. The breakfast was reasonable too, but they should have left the coffee machine on all day. Those of us at the conference had very long days of meetings. I also liked that they left water, fruit, granola bars and candy inside the conference rooms. It was great to just grab a snack when you got hungry. Everything was clean and I had a nice view outside of my hotel room. I also need to acknowledge the shuttle drivers who took me to the hotel and back to the airport. They were terrific and on time.

Yelp
...we are working at the Pier 4 project on an irregular schedule and this is the cheapest hotel near the job site. The last time I checked in they put me in a room that was about 10' x 10'. I thought it was the fucking broom closet! It had a full bed and you had to go outside to change your mind. And all this for the low, low price of $193 plus tax!

Yelp
Don't stay here if you don't have to. Upon driving up my husband exclaimed "wow! What a dump!" It's sits along a river which actually sort of pretty when the tide is high. But that's the best part of it. We were visiting family in Quincy. This hotel was 5 mins from their house. we paid $250 for a Saturday night. Couldn't find anything much cheaper so we went with it. The rooms are "newly renovated." My room was fine. My grandmother's room right next door was not as nice renovated. Old old old bathroom cabinet. My room was clean. I checked thoroughly before settling in. But still it felt dark and just cheap. We had the lovely parking lot view. We were on the first floor so we heard cars and chatter constantly. Also, the ac seems to pump out some seriously strong perfume to mask probably what would be a very musty smell bc the hotel is just so old and near a river.

Yelp
I came here for a conference and was very happy with the food and service. The function room is very nice and worked for the event I was attending. There is also a very nice sitting area with a fireplace. It is a little tricky to get there, so be sure to use GPS.

Yelp
Not sure why rating are high I had to double check to make sure this was the correct location but it is. This hotel is old out dated they attempted to fix it up how ever this is not clean I was bit by bed bugs suffering bad reaction from them now my room stunk as well really bad mildew.

Yelp
I checked in and the front desk guy was cool but the room had a funny odor, the trash had not been emptied, bed not professionally made and wrappers and tissue were open and left on the table. I called the front desk for a room change and I was told that "we are all sold out". I call BS on that one! Not thrilled to be here

Yelp
I stayed at the Adams Inn from 7/20/17-7/24/17. I didn't personally choose the Adams Inn, I was in town for a family reunion and this is the hotel they picked so this is where we stayed. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews but I hoped for the best. Only 1 shuttle I called the hotel a day or so before arrive to set up an airport shuttle pick up. I was instructed to call the hotel after arriving and picking up my luggage, they don't take advance notice..... Upon arrival I call for the shuttle and was told that it was already on the way to pick up 11 other passengers and would have get them, return to the hotel and then come back for us. I asked how long that would take and they said at least 60-90 mins and maybe we should take a taxi. Strike 1 Room not ready at check in We had an early flight so understandably the room was not ready when we got there. I still checked in and advised that I was traveling with a 2 year old, hoping they would get our room ready as soon as possible since they knew we were waiting in the lobby. After waiting around all morning I check again at 12pm to see if the room was available, nope. At 2:30pm, nope. At 3pm, NO . This is when I finally got upset. However, staff/management did not seem to care or think that it was a problem than our room was not ready. We were finally able to check in closer to 4pm. Strike 2 Ants in bathroom We were on the 1st floor with a view of the lake/swamp (depending on the time of day). Every time we entered the bathroom we had to kill a few ants. Strike 3 Cockroach in bathtub Went in the bathroom to run bathwater for my son and BOOM a cockroach in the tub. Strike 4! Bathtub stopper not working After killing the cockroach and washing out the tub I tried to run bathwater for my son and the stopper did not work. The maintenance man came to check it out and couldn't fix it. I asked for a little rubber stopper and was told that they could buy one in the morning and bring it to me. Meanwhile I have a stinky toddler that needed a bath pronto, so lucky mommy got to struggle with him during his first shower. Strike 5 Key cards deactivated at least 5 times during our stay I saw this happening to many different guests. The staff had the nerve to tell everyone, every time to make sure not to keep the key next to your cell phone. Well duh! Everyone knows that and acted accordingly and it still happened multiple times. The staff did not seem surprised so I'm guessing this happens a lot. Strike, well who cares by now? Vacation is supposed to be carefree in my opinion. Bottom line, if you have another choice take it! AND "management" saying sorry to reviewers that leave a comment isn't good enough! Many of us save up to be able to enjoy a vacation every now and then. We pay good money and just want what we paid for, not a token sorry after you have checked out. **UPDATE** after receiving a condescending response from management. I completely understand ebb and flow and I know the hotel is not responsible for the lake. This is a review of my personal experience while at your hotel and I gave my honest opinion on exactly what I saw and felt at the time. In hindsight we should have stop to take photos of the bug issues instead of just killing them. The attitude that I received at the hotel coupled with your condescending; tit for tat response to my review , solidify my opinion of your management practices/style. Instead of giving a lackluster, forced apology you may want to spend more time working on your customer service efforts for future clients.

Yelp
I will say 3 words, this place sucks. It is not clean by any standards there was a mask in the lamp and the floor I stayed on smelled terrible. Which was the 3rd floor. Service was terrible but the bar was good to say the least. But other than this do not stay here

Yelp
I used parksleepfly to book this hotel. I had to leave my car there for a couple of days while i fly out of town. I was upgraded to waterfront view and the price was actually cheaper than what parksleepfly told me which was great! About 20 bucks, but it's still something haha. Upgraded room and lower price! Car was still in great condition when I came back. No need to leave keys behind. Grabbed some free granola bars in early morning. Shuttle came on time from hotel to airport. No shuttle at midnight from airport to hotel, but they will reimburse the amount when you take a taxi. 4.5 for this hotel! Slight con: no printed receipt at check out due to "printer not working" and they didn't even email me the receipt when they asked for an email to leave behind. I was worried since I like proof documents, but everythings all good.

Yelp
When we checked in, I was impressed. It looked nice, check in was ok. Our room was a good size king, with a couch and table. Took a shower and got into bed, bed was comfy and clean. THEN we saw 2 mice scurry across the floor. We were moved to a very small room with a double bed, no computer table, no couch. The bathroom was large and bare, no vanity or shelf to put items on. During the night it was Very noisy. At one point I got up and opened the door and just glared at the group of people laughing and talking in the hall. We had to get up very early so I didn't eat the complimentary breakfast: eggs, sausage, waffles and cereal. I guess if you didn't have a mouse issue, it would be ok, but how are you going to know they are gone?

Yelp
I've stayed in several Best Western Hotels great e but this Adams BW was horrible. My Double bed occupancy had only one towel, no tissue, floors needed vacuuming, the AC was completely damaged but running in low and not adjustable. The front desk never answers so every time I needed something, I had to leave the room and go down three floors to get what I needed. Two front desk clerks and only one was working. The other claimed she was new but didn't even make an attempt to help the busy clerk. Phones were ringing and she just sat there.

Yelp
Started out great, then about 9:20 pm a mouse started running around our 3rd floor (2 Queen bed) room. After several tries to contact the front desk, I went down to the lobby. I told the girl on the desk about the problem. She apologized and moved us to a First Floor, with a SINGLE FULL size bed. My wife and I don't fit in a Full size bed together but that didn't really matter. There was a wedding reception going on and at 1:18 am, the fighting started. Nothing serious, just a lot of door slamming and Very profane Shouting up & down our hallway. At 4:00 am, our (lol) Wake-up call came. at this point, we were already dressed and looking forward to the shuttle ride to the airport. The shuttle driver was Great, very pleasant man. Our scheduled/contracted return to the hotel was a Horror Show to say the least. No Shuttle available, a LYFT ride was arranged. After having 4 attempts made to get us picked up so we could go back for our car, I was told by the Best Western person to "Take a Taxi and BW will reimburse you by CREDIT on your card". Ahhh, NO.... We paid for the shuttle for Both ways, BW needs to come here and bring us to our car.. Didn't happen.... Stay Away from this Poor example of a Best Western location, unless of course you like MICE, lower quality accommodations and Poor service.

Yelp
Solid drinks (under $10) and gorgeous view on the deck one Friday after work in the summertime. The food menu didn't look great, but stick with the drinks and some friends and the grab a seat under the umbrella on a sunny day for a nice atmosphere on the deck. Don't forget your shades either because the sun will blind you otherwise.

Yelp
I don't know what I did to upset the people at my job who are in charge of travel arrangements, but clearly someone thought I should be subjected to this hotel and all of its flaws. I am itching as I write this review, thinking about why or better yet HOW it's still standing. I am going to break it down by department/service: -Shuttle Service- They ask everyone to call once you get your items from Baggage Claim and your shuttle should arrive 20-30 minutes afterwards. Fair enough. The only issue is that after 45 minutes, they give you the wrong door to walk to and then say "the driver says he doesn't see you". Uhhhh- how could he if he has never seen me before? Is he holding a sign with my name? Of course he wasn't. I continued to walk through construction and scaffolding through the airport and it turns out my driver was at C106 instead of C110. MAJOR Difference when walking with all of your luggage through the airport. Driver was decent but the hassle was unnecessary. -Front Desk Service- Not very friendly or pleasant to interact with. Generally speaking, these folks looked like they were not happy about the hotel they worked for. I thought it was weird that when I asked for restaurant recommendations, they didn't mention their own-lol (i'll get to that later). My colleagues who checked in at different times received a $20 voucher for the hotel restaurant and I got nothing. When I asked, one of the employees said, "do you really need one?" I should've taken that as another red flag. -Room and Other Common Spaces- My room was small, decrepit, and in need of an HGTV "Flip My Room" interior and exterior upgrade. The carpet throughout the hotel smelled like it hadn't been shampooed or cleaned since the early 80s. It was musty and dusty. Have you ever seen the movie- THE SHINING? Well that how the hallways were lit and that's the eerie feeling I felt. My "full-size" bed was low to the ground and I honestly felt cautious about laying down in it. I went to walmart and purchased a large can of lysol disinfectant. Every inch of the room was sprayed for my sanity. There was a tiny window with a "fantastic" view of the parking lot. -Restaurant- It's on the water so there is a beautiful view for the guests. SHORT-STAFFED. Waited at least 10 minutes for a ginger ale. Food was questionable but it stayed down so I can't complain too much. Definitely nothing to write home about. I guess that's why the ladies at the front desk didn't say much about it when I asked for suggestions. When my uber drivers, who were Boston natives, picked me up and started talking about the hotel, no one had anything nice to say. The hotel needs a MAJOR RENOVATION and ASAP! There's no way that this hotel is passing health codes and for anyone on the thread giving it more than two stars in their review, I'd have to reevaluate their life standards. Best Western- you get a generous 1 star from this Yelper!!!

Yelp
I have contacted the Adams Inn to get an answer from Sales regarding an event for a baby shower four different times in the last three weeks. Is there new management ? Normally the service is not so poor.. Best part press "0" for the Front Desk is on the voicemail; but in turn the Front Desk told me the General Manager could not escalate my issue... Mmm that's interesting..... No problem I'm a little confused how Sales/Events is a stand alone entity inside of a hotel establishment.... Food for thought...

Yelp
A very disappointing experience on multiple fronts- mainly the inadequate housekeeping and poorly updated marketing. We booked this hotel because it was close to family (my mom is on hospice) and the online presence indicated there was a pool (it was super hot and humid). Upon check in we were informed the pool closed a year ago- bummer. We returned to the hotel after visiting family all day- wet towels were removed- none were replaced, along with coffee not being replaced, bed not made, tissues not replaced, and the ironing board which we couldn't close- left open- where I had left it. Each night, we returned to a partially cleaned room. The front desk staff was friendly. I was disappointed with our service, but ultimately we were there to visit my mom and so the cigarette smell in hallways, and hotels appearance, even the poor housekeeping while we were there was going to be overlooked. Until the day after check out I realized I left two dresses in the room. I called and was transferred to housekeeping and left a voicemail; providing my name, phone number, check out date, room number and items I left behind. I did not receive a call back Thursday, Friday, not today. I called back again this morning and was again transferred to a voicemail. This was a disappointing hotel/motel experience- the service was poor. I would appreciate a phone call back, a return of my items left behind.

Yelp
Stayed here for New Year's Eve. The room was large and comfortable. The only issue we had was a party across the hall from us got more than a little rowdy. I believe the police may have been called to kick some members of their party out. Also, when walking past that one particular room, the smell of marijuana was strong. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. All of the staff who helped us in our stay was polite, and helpful!

Yelp
Spend your money elsewhere. Rooms weren't ready till after check in time, worst pillows I've ever used in a hotel room, things seem outdated here including the carpets that looked filthy. It's even hard figuring out how to get off the main road to this hotel because of a few unusual turns you have to make. They give you a wifi password upon check in but the wifi is slower than the already regular phone service, if you can even get connected to the wifi. My room key didn't work about 1/2 the time and I had to go back downstairs to the elevator to reactivate the room key. Any bus or train service is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Trust me, don't stay here unless you want to be mostly unhappy.
