When you visit Costa Rica, you quickly learn that being one with nature—including the bugs—is part of the experience. On our first night, we saw a small cockroach in the room, but with the visible gap under the door, it’s not surprising that a few critters might sneak in. That said, the hotel itself was very clean overall, even if the rooms felt a bit dated and could definitely use an update.
The beds were a bit on the stiff side, but still fine for a few nights. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff—every single person we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and eager to help.
The buffet was standard fare, nothing too adventurous, but they did a nice job of mixing things up with themed nights, which helped keep the meals from feeling repetitive.
The resort itself is pretty low-key in terms of activities. Outside of swimming, sunbathing, and eating, there’s not much else happening on-site. Still, the pools were clean, comfortable, and there was plenty of room to lounge in the sun. Being right on the beach made it easy to go for walks and enjoy the ocean views.
If you’re staying in Jacó and looking for an all-inclusive experience, this is one of the only options—and it does deliver a good family vacation. Just keep in mind: I’d recommend booking your own excursions instead of going through the resort. The tour companies they partner with tend to mark up prices a bit, and you won’t save much by bundling.
All in all, our family had a great time. With a few updates, this resort could be even better—but it offers a solid stay in a beautiful location.
