A very nice, comfortable and a conveniently located hotel in the city. City centre (Elizabeth street) is walking distance. People working here are real gems. Always smiling, greeting and in simple terms being happy. I loved 2days stay here. Parking is available in the basement for 2 and 3 meter in height vehicles.

The Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff work really hard. They have a very efficient strategy to save the environment which is when you place a 'Do Not Disturb' card on your door, they will not service your room and they then offer a $8 voucher at Embers Restaurant (their inhouse eatery). Having said that, our experience at Embers was very poor. There was 4 adults and 1 child and our meals took over an hour to arrive; we ordered chicken nuggets and chips for our grandson and it took over an hour. I don't care what is going on in the kitchen, but as an ex-Chef you get the kids meals out ASAP. Additionally, when we mentioned this experience to a family member, they were apologetic that they didn't warn us of Embers as when they recently had gone as a family of 8 for a Pizza night, their meals didn't arrive at the table for nearly 2 hours; at 30-40 minutes, I would have walked out. Also, I'm aghast that as a guest, I should be subsidising the breakfast by paying $29 for a continental breakfast. I wouldn't eat $29 worth of a hot breakfast, let alone a continental breakfast. Maybe Best Western could have a set menu for Hot and Continental breakfast. Based on the above, even though the Hotel stay was good and satisfactory, we wouldn't stay there again, but closer to the CBD.

Was really impressed with how new the bathroom was, value for money, and location. The room was well appointed, clean and bathroom was newly refurbished. Full size and strength hair dryer was a major plus! Very close to everything in Hobart including Salamanca Markets and all the Dark Mofo events. Loved my stay there, later checkout was a bonus as well. Perfect spot.

Loved my stay for three nights. Location is very convenient and onsite parking available. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were welcoming and service was great. Highly recommend this hotel for families.

Alright room however there was no where to hang up your towels?? (In or out of the bathroom) Accessible shower, but made whole bathroom floor wet. Unsure whether this can be adjusted though. No hair dryer initially but when we got one it stopped working within the first run, so had to get another. Excellent shower pressure though, and in a great location. Some kids waterpolo team was running rampant whilst we were there, bouncing balls down the hallway and running full pelt down the hall.

Shower was amazing (pressure & temp). Room has extra space to maneuver & multiple tables. Bed ok comfort-wise& can fit multiple people. Had a nice balcony view inland (especially sunset). Expect 15-20 min walk to waterfront and 5-10 min walk to restaurants. Skybus is 10 min uphill walk. Staff friendly from limited interactions.

It is quiet, conveniently located, has a good restaurant, staff are all pleasant and helpful. All is good, until the bathroom which, I suspect, was designed by an architect and is, therefore, about appearance and not functionality. A raised floor on the shower is high enough to be a pain and it has only partial glass cover so it guarantees water splash onto the bathroom floor. The shower head is overhead with low water pressure and is a bit low for a tall person. I hate those types of showers. The basin is one of trendy types that sits on top of the bench surface; a more useless kind I don't think has been invented yet. Nearly forgot about parking. Why does a hotel guest have to pay extra ($15 per night) to park at the place? Not a bad place to stay, except for the abysmal bathroom (and extra for parking) which will prevent me staying there again.

The receptionist was not friendly or helpful. Did not offer any advice on things to see or do. It was a convenient location to walk to visit the Salamanca market and the Cascade brewery and women’s factory. Bed was comfortable. It advertised a balcony with mountain views. The balcony is tiny with no seating. House staff are lovely.

Yelp
It served its purpose. Good location central to most things in Hobart. The room was clean but the bed is extremely uncomfortable. Our air conditioning was not blowing cold air they tried to tell me how to fix it instead of fixing it themselves. We ended up sleeping with the sliding glass door open

Yelp
A maybe 2-star hotel. Not clean but not dirty. Terrible internet. The food was absolutely nothing to write home about but it is in a good location.

Yelp
As a first timer to Tasmania and the Aussie experience, I was excited to check in at our first stop, Hobart. The Best Western staff was friendly and helpful and we were located within walking distance to the downtown area, big pluses! The room itself was clean although it definitely had a lived in ambiance. The common areas, however, had stained carpets which created a feeling that the property lacked a bit of care. Our stay was for 3 nights and when they cleaned the room each day they would not always remember to replenish the shampoo, shower gel, coffee and provide enough clean towels. The fitness center was sparsely equipped with only 1 bike, 1 treadmill, 2 weight contraptions and 3 kettlebells, so a bit disappointing. All in all, it was an economical shelter choice and we had a great time exploring the city of Hobart!
