Best Western Hobart

Overall a very good stay and well worth the price for four nights. The size of the room was comfortable and it was good being able to log into my Stan on the TV. In walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The sensor light in the bathroom was quite annoying though, while there is another, smaller light, a switch to be able to keep the main light on would be better.

We had an amazing stay! Our family room was spacious and spotless, but what truly made the experience memorable was the outstanding customer service. Lincoln, who was there throughout our stay, was exceptionally warm and friendly. When we had an issue with our heater, he resolved it quickly, moved us to another room, and even offered complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience — such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. Thank you Lincoln! A highlight for my son was being able to play the piano in the lobby each day, which made his stay extra special. On our final day, the lovely receptionist suggested we visit the Mount Nelson Signal Station — a hidden gem with spectacular views, and the perfect way to end our trip. The hotel’s location is also ideal: just a short stroll to Salamanca and excellent for a morning run down to the pier. Overall, a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations.

A very nice, comfortable and a conveniently located hotel in the city. City centre (Elizabeth street) is walking distance. People working here are real gems. Always smiling, greeting and in simple terms being happy. I loved 2days stay here. Parking is available in the basement for 2 and 3 meter in height vehicles.

Great value, great staff, easy walking distance to everywhere. Cheap and cheerful, couldn't ask for much more. It's not a luxury hotel if that's what you're looking for, but it's the best value for money hotel in Hobart.

Best Western Hobart belies its modest appearance. It has everything every hotel guest looks for - good location, clean and well-equipped room, great service, excellent housekeeping and affordable rates. It punches above its weight!

I stayed at this hotel last week, and I’ve been afraid to tell my story, until now. When I first entered the lobby, I felt a bone chilling shiver, that’s odd, I thought, little did I know the horrors that would ensue. Wailing all through the night, and not the usual kind, it was ghostly , haunting, and very scary. I felt sick to my stomach, and I felt like someone was watching me! When I finally got to sleep, after hours of tossing and turning, I had the worst nightmare of my life. When I woke up, covered in a cold sweat, I saw an apparition standing at the foot of my bed, screaming and yelling at me to get out! I ran out to the lobby, and never looked back. There was a nice man in the restaurant though, great service. I’ve included photos from my trip, to give some idea of what I went through. Thanks for reading, all the best.

We had a lovely 3 day stay. Comfy beds and pillows, clean rooms and lovely staff. Also a great location to everything we needed. Thank you!

I gave it a 3 star not because of the service, that was great. However, they advertised a pool and a gym and had neither plus we had to pay for parking every night and there was not complimentary breakfast like a lot of them. When you are also paying per person and not per room it starts to feel very money grabbing. Besides that the service was amazing and they were all very kind.

It served its purpose. Good location central to most things in Hobart. The room was clean but the bed is extremely uncomfortable. Our air conditioning was not blowing cold air they tried to tell me how to fix it instead of fixing it themselves. We ended up sleeping with the sliding glass door open

A maybe 2-star hotel. Not clean but not dirty. Terrible internet. The food was absolutely nothing to write home about but it is in a good location.

As a first timer to Tasmania and the Aussie experience, I was excited to check in at our first stop, Hobart. The Best Western staff was friendly and helpful and we were located within walking distance to the downtown area, big pluses! The room itself was clean although it definitely had a lived in ambiance. The common areas, however, had stained carpets which created a feeling that the property lacked a bit of care. Our stay was for 3 nights and when they cleaned the room each day they would not always remember to replenish the shampoo, shower gel, coffee and provide enough clean towels. The fitness center was sparsely equipped with only 1 bike, 1 treadmill, 2 weight contraptions and 3 kettlebells, so a bit disappointing. All in all, it was an economical shelter choice and we had a great time exploring the city of Hobart!
