Best Western Hotel Hillerod

Very pleased with my staying, the breakfast and the restaurant 😊

Practical hotel to live at during a shooting competition in the area.|Nice personal.|We didn't get to eat breakfast this time, but it was good last year.|The only thing we missed this time was that the fridge was running and cool when we got there.

Pros: The employees were fantastic and friendly, the breakfast is above average for a free hotel breakfast and the restaurant downstairs is wonderful. Cons: the “mattress” is a thin layer of cotton maybe? One pillow, and scratchy linens. Overall a wonderful place, but the bed and linens made it feel like army barracks. If the beds and linens were improved, it would easily be a 5 star review

This is an older hotel under the Best Western brand, and its dated quality extends to the attitudes of its staff. On a sunny day, the room gets very warm. Since the building is probably well insuated, it stays that way. There's no air conditioning, and when I went downstairs to ask for a fan, I was told they were all out. So I was stuck sleeping with the windows flung wide open, but no real change in temperature. There's also no vending machines, and their restaurant closes early. I asked the elderly woman at the reception desk if I could please have some ice water. She obliged, nicely enough. I went downstairs a couple hours later and made the same request to the gentleman who replaced her on a new shift. He asked if the previous woman had charged me. I said "no". He said he'll see what he could do. He came back with some ice water, but before handing it to me, made sure I understood that this was the last free one I would get, and he'd have to charge me from now on. I stayed in my room the rest of the night, and vowed never to stay at this hotel again when I'm in Denmark.

This will be better than a Best Western in the US. They go farther in Denmark to give you a decent breakfast. The service is impeccable. Price was reasonable. Convenient location. Hillerod has a good Vietnamese restaurant. To To Kitchen. The hotel has a good restaurant as well.

Reasonable hotel with easy access to business locations north of Copenhagen (Route 16). Hillerød is a small town, though. The rooms are simple but clean; the staff is very nice and helpful!

For a small town like Hillerod, I didn't expect a 5 star experience so this was adequate. I was in town for the Denmark-India davis cup tie in Feb 2023.The rooms are clean and functional enough though parts of the building looked worn and run down. The breakfast was somewhat basic but the basement restaurant is high quality. The location was about 12-14 mts walk from the nearest restaurant which wasn't optimal .||Overall some pluses, some minuses - and the overall level of service was good.
