BEST WESTERN Hotel Royal

It's in a great location, with everything within easy walking distance. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is generous, with lots of variety. The old-fashioned atmosphere is great, my daughter and I really enjoyed finally not being in a standard 10-12 square meter rectangular room. Good price-value-experience ratio, highly recommended.

Good Location and Wonderful Hotel We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay here! The reception staff, particularly Maria was warm, helpful, and polite, making us feel welcome from the start. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a bed that provided two excellent nights' sleep. While the breakfast was satisfactory, we especially appreciated the complimentary hot beverages available throughout the day and night in the dining area. This thoughtful touch by the management deserves two thumbs up! The hotel's location is also a major plus, within walking distance to numerous tourist attractions, as well as the train and bus stations. Overall, we had a lovely and cozy 2-day stay. Highly recommended!

The pros : it is very near the train station and piazza where the restaurants are. Room was really big and ceiling very high. There was a lot of space for our bags. Our stay comes with breakfast. It is a buffet type and enough options for everyone. Seating in the cafe is ample. Staff is friendly and patient. We got our door 'fixed' because it wasn't closing properly. Lots of power sockets to power our devices. Internet works very well but needs to log on every morning. Cons : Toilet bowl and basin is between the shower area and door. It is impossible to change after shower. The small space translates to a fall risk. There are 2 steps to the bed. It also poses a fall risk. I had to use a camping light to illuminate the steps the nights we slept in case we need to use the bathroom. It is noisy at night because our room was beside the road. We did not have a good sleep. Floor is dusty and I have to clean it with a 'paper mop'. For the price we paid, we would still stay for a night due to the location.

Initially, we did not anticipate anything extraordinary for a price range of 60-70€, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the outset, the staff exceeded expectations with their friendliness, attentiveness, and clarity in communication, making us feel truly welcome. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the view was nothing short of breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of Malmö city. The breakfast buffet stood out as one of the finest I have ever experienced in a hotel—perhaps even surpassing the offerings of some upscale restaurants. Additionally, the availability of high-quality, complimentary coffee in the lounge area at all times was a delightful touch. For the price, this hotel delivers remarkable value. PROs: The staff was very nice, they let us check in earlier. The hotel is very close to the main train/bus station. The breakfast very good. CONs: The furniture in the room was very old. We were disappointed because they didn't provide any slippers and we had to search for stores where we could buy ones....

One of the most convenient locations in Malmö. Everything that you should see as a tourist is within 15 minutes walking range (except the Turning torso tower). Price is very reasonable. Breakfast is exceptional! There always is free coffee and tea in the lobby. Rooms are standard, not amazing, not bad. What stands out the most in this hotel is their staff. Special thanks to Henrik! Who was always very helpful and up for a banter. I definitely know where I am staying if I ever visit Malmö again.

Was staying in another hotel n decided to stay another night in Nalmo n changed to this hotel . Is much cheaper than my first night The room is decent n bed comfy . Minimal design . Worked for me since life is always on a transit n this stay is merely a stop in life The lady that checked me in was very very polite and kind she ensured I have all the info needed . Breakfast spread is sumptuous.

Don't book your stay at this hotel! We stayed one night at one of the rooms and our bathroom sewage was clogged so we couldn't shower. When we notified the reception we was first offered to use the shower in the sauna but then denied because it was in use. We asked for a new room but didn't get one. After that, we where asked to use the staff bathroom in the cellar of the building. The day after when we asked for compensation we where met by an very arrogant staff member that said that they couldn't do anything and took our info so that we would be contacted a specific time. The manager never called the time we was promised so I had to call them myself in order to get ahold of a person in charge, we finally got a small shitty compensation after a long conversation over the phone and the manager was being a dick about it when we explained that we shovelled sewage water in the bathroom with drinking glasses to save their bedroom from flooding which would result in huge expenses for renovation of water damage. So if you are thinking about booking this hotel for a stay in Malmö, think again! TLDR; Clogged drain, shovelled shit water before sleep in the shower to save the hotel room, got a small shitty compensation from Per the manager. Don't stay here!

One star is generous!! For €300 euro a night??!! Outdated, weird old furniture. Nothing like the quality of other hotels in this neighborhood. Very disappointing. Like a bad motel 6
