Excellent boutique hotel in a perfect central position in Peronne. Comfy beds, great service and an excellent continental breakfast. |My room was quiet and spotless, the shower hot and powerful and the whole hotel just oozes charm. |The hotel has been renovated in an older building yet retains the warmth and character by getting the balance right by combining the original charm with sharp 21st century architectural design features.

Good rooms, however the halls are a labrynth to navigate. Service was very kind. There is an old, small billiards table to play. Breakfast was okay.

We stayed for one night, doing a short tour of the area. We were a little disappointed that our room was not ready at 3 pm. ||However the place seemed to have been refurbished (USB charge points in the room) and was very smart and well kept. Our room (107) was large, comfortable and quiet with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. Free street parking surrounds two sides of the hotel.||I'd be happy to recommend this hotel.

|We booked this hotel because it seemed central, accessible, comfortable and with parking. In the event, the promise was not realised. On the positive side, the rooms are comfortable and modern, with good bathrooms. However…..||The hotel is in a pedestrian precinct. We were led to believe that we could drive our car to the front of the hotel – which you cannot. When we asked what could be done, we were told to park at the bottom of the pedestrian precinct. We and others were therefore seen dragging our luggage up a cobbled street, sweat pouring from our brows. At the hotel itself (having located it in its hidden position) there were steep steps to negotiate. Once inside, reception was devoid of staff. We all stood, wondering if this was the Marie Celeste of hotels. Eventually, a nice receptionist arrived and we registered. It turned out that the poor receptionist was also the cleaner and the bar staff. Cutting back on staff in a service industry is not good for the clients but especially is not good for the staff. ||We later discovered that there is a disabled person’s access behind the hotel – but when we mentioned this, we were told that we did not look handicapped – even though we are in our 70s and clearly not strong, and one of our party is actually disabled and finds walking difficult, especially up cobbled streets dragging heavy suitcases. ||Wifi at this hotel seems to work well – if you can access it. One of our party could not log in. The following conversation occurred:||GUEST: I cannot access the wifi because a link is sent to my email address which is on the computer that is not on wifi.|RECEPTIONIST: You can get email on your cell phone. |GUEST: I do not have email on my cell phone. |RECEPTIONIST: You must install the email app on your cell phone. |GUEST: I really will not do that just for this hotel. |RECEPTIONIST: It is not for this hotel, it is for you. ||The result of this was that the guest never accessed wifi at this hotel. ||A note of caution: If you arrive to check in before 3pm, the hotel is shut. ||We saw only two staff members throughout our stay, both of whom were charming and as helpful as they could be. They were overworked, one minute being at reception, the next cleaning floors in the restaurant. We have no criticism of the staff who were all as helpful as they could be. ||We cannot recommend this hotel if you are a silver-haired traveller, used to slick service, or like personal contact with hotel staff. If you are a back packer, this could be for you, especially given the hotel’s proximity to a loud karaoke bar. ||Please hire more staff. |

When we arrived at 2.15am, after our car had broken down on the motorway, the door was closed, not surprisingly. The manager kindly got out of bed to let us in. He told us our insurer had made a mistake on the date and booked us in for the following night, therefore he was not expecting us. So we were immensely grateful to him for opening the door, welcoming us in a friendly way and letting us stay.||||We had a very comfortable, spacious and clean room and an excellent bed. The bathroom had a great shower. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. The manager couldn't have been more caring, attentive and helpful.||||We were delighted to discover Peronne and the hotel is situated in the centre of the oldest and nicest part of the town.

This hotel is huge and rambling, you’d never know it from walking into the small entrance. It’s very old construction (maybe hundreds of years) but totally modernized. Easy parking behind the old church, beautiful breakfast buffet where you make your own soft boiled eggs, the lady running the hotel is very friendly and speaks good english thankfully. I’m really glad this is the random hotel we picked on the way to Paris.

Good hotel with good prices. Staff was friendly and spoke fluent English. Breakfast was good. Rooms were OK. Quite a lot of noise coming through from the hallway and the rooms next to mine/above mine. No ventilation other than the windows. Bathroom was OK but slightly dated. No private parking, you have to use the public alley at the back of the hotel, which is well lit and has a camera, but does not give the safest impression to leave your car.

Yelp
What a nice find! A well run, modern Best Western hotel in a historical building in downtown Peronne, the heart of the battle of the Somme. Just around the corner you will find a beautiful, old stronghold that contains, as far as we understand, an exhibit of the history of the great war. Enough little restaurants and bistro's to choose from for dinner within walking distance . The hotel itself is very clean, and our room was spacious with a nice bathroom with walk in shower. Two chairs to sit in. Breakfast was included, and it's a great buffet with plenty to choose from. Fresh breads, eggs, deli cheeses, and meats, fruit, etc. And on top of this all it is located, conveniently near the A1, the thoroughfare from the North to Paris. Parking on the street nearby and behind the church. Saturday mornings there is market, so be sure to park behind the church on Friday night. We will be back ;-)

Yelp
Stayed here after an enforced late depart from Paris and was too tired to go on to the tunnel. Arrived at 2100hrs and was welcomed by an attentetive receptionist who found me a room and organised a late meal. i wanted to leave early the next morning before the breakfast service started so he also organised an early breakfast to be laid out for me. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable and the hotel is right in the town centre. Excellent value and impeccable service. Good spot to stay if you are touring the battlefields
