Best Western Hotel Svava

This is our first time to visit Sweden as a family of 5. And we are so glad to have stayed here. The receptionist gave us great recommendations from places to eat and how to best go to certain destinations. Our room was unexpectedly larger than the usual hotel experience -more like an apt style. Perhaps it helped that my husband booked this hotel stay many months prior. And we overlooked a neighboring grocery store deli. It felt like a home away from home APT feel. The internet was decent enough, which we appreciated for our 3 children. Even my 3 year old daughter was sad to leave. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Life changing breakfast buffet. The homemade bread and carrot life will stay with me for ever. And the staff were all SO LOVELY!!! They all deserve infinite pay rises and all expenses paid holidays. 10/10. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic breakfast. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Centrally located and ideal for visiting sites. Close to station for buses and trains to go elsewhere. Great restaurants close by. ||Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

- the room was very small for 2 people and the parking fee is expensive 200 sek per day|+ good beds, clean room, enough pillows, clean bathroom, shampoo, soap and showergel, good shower, hair dryer|+ very good breakfast, enough choice in everything|+ good location near the station and in city center, good connection to Stockholm. |+ Close to shops and restaurants|+ Uppsala is a very nice and clean city, worth to visit. Nice atmosphere|+ plenty to do and see in the surroundings too

Self check-in was ok but we still had to talk to someone at the front desk because we needed validation for parking and a reservation for breakfast. It would have been more efficient to only have one stop. The room was very small but clean and modern. Breakfast was good. Blackout shades were good since the sun barely set.

Here's that review in English: Perfectly Okay Hotel, but Rooms Can Get Hot This hotel is perfectly okay; I'd give it a 3 out of 5. The breakfast is also fine, especially considering it's a smaller hotel. One major downside, though, was how extremely hot the rooms got during the summer. Unfortunately, we couldn't open the windows or get any other air circulation, so it became very warm. Luckily, there were extra fans available to borrow, but it still felt like a bit of a cumbersome solution.

Business trip in Sweden has been better with Svava! Hands down, here Breakfast is suppppppper good. I could try all the Swedish style food here for free. Also I love how kind reception girls are. Room is clean and tiny. I love Svava :) 🇸🇪😘

We booked two superior rooms - one for the two of us and one for our three teenage / young adult girls. Their room was lovely with windows that opened onto the front street and enough space for each of them. Our room was in a corner, much smaller, with an interior window that sadly did not open, because the cooling system was not working. The room was stuffy with no air movement (hard as I tend toward claustrophobia). When we explained the situation and we asked to switch to a different room, the staff member at the front desk suggested we just switch with our girls (so they could endure sleeping in a sauna I guess). We went out and bought a small desk fan that helped a little bit, but not substantively. Very disappointing as we often stay at Best Westerns and have usually had good experiences.
