The Pembie fights well above its weight. There are two adjacent sections, the more recent rammed earth motel section and the old pub.||Rooms in the motel are contemporary, clean, air-conditioned and comfortable. Parking is available.||You may eat in the newer bistro area or walk through to the pub. The same meals are available in both areas.|

Clean place but rooms and restaurant is extremely outdated. |Our shower leaked all over the bathroom floor into the bedroom and furniture was all worn and outdated. |Food was very good however 2 female staff members were very discriminatory towards my family as we have a 2 year old son and was refused service when at the bar when one parent was holding him in our arms and told "im not serving you" |Definitely NOT family friendly but good food and cleanliness is there but thats it. |If you have kids, give this place a miss.

Spent a lovely hour on the hotel balcony with a great cold beer and lunch. Salmon was beautiful and the special steak sandwich was excellent. Broke up our trip through the Forrest well.|Traditional old pub. Shame the had sold out as would have bought a beer cooler.

The rooms are very spacious and very clean. We had a room with a nice balcony with a tree view. ||The rooms have loads of storage space, well equipped with mini fridge, kettle, crockery and generous supply of tea/coffee and dishwashing liquid and tea towels were provided which was very convenient. ||The room has good lighting and a fan, in addition to the reverse cycle air conditioner. Decent amount of clothes hangers which is rare in a hotel/motel.||The bathroom is large, very clean and well ventilated. Loads of storage and bench space and I liked the large sink. Environmentally friendly toiletries. Ample supply of clean towels and a decent hair dryer.||The beds are very comfortable, with nice pillows and crisp linens and the rooms had decent sound proofing, so you got a decent night sleep. ||Plenty of onsite parking, restaurant and bar. Very welcoming and efficient check in. Good value, nice hotel.

The cafe at the Pemberton Hotel was typical country style pub food done quite well but still standard pub fare. Service was fine and the atmosphere out on the veranda pleasant. The decor was old fashioned and the prices were marginally higher than for similar food elsewhere.

Excellent food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. The roast of the day (lamb) was a very generous portion, tender and tasty. The salmon (special of the day) was perfectly cooked. All very enjoyable.||The hotel was quite busy, but service was quick and efficient - prices were reasonable.

Nice cold beer on a warm day. Bar staff were very pleasant. Food was very good. The roast beef was very tender served with a good range of vegetables. The battered fish & chips was very nice. We have eaten here many times before & always had a good meal. Highly recommend.

Yelp
If you order a main meal you get a free salad bar which is pretty cool! I got the lamb shanks, they were delicious but so heavy, the serving was to big - and I don't think I have ever said something like that before, my stomach is like Mary Poppins purse, it can fit everything! But I would suggest if you are going to take on the lamb shank meal, just eat half. You will be so happy later when you aren't food coma-ing on the couch in pain! That being said though the meal as delicious =) The hotel is an old school building, it hasn't been updated in at least 25 years but that somehow adds to their charm. The servers were polite but the service just wasn't what I would describe as excellent. The place was empty but I found it was easier to go to the bar to ask questions and order than it was to wait for someone to make it to the table. All and all though when I am back in Pemberton I will come back her for another meal. The food is hearty, local and delicious.
