Where to Stay in Quebec City When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"I noted it as a four-star hotel with a crisp, contemporary design and amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness center, and on-site restaurant serving breakfast. Rooms are simple yet elegantly decorated, with a memory foam mattress, coffee maker, flat-screen TV, and desk; it’s pet-friendly (with a nonrefundable pet fee)." - Matthew Kepnes

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it very convenient to get around. I booked the room for CAD 163, excluding parking, which costs around CAD 35, and breakfast was not included. The front desk staff were friendly and provided good service. The interior design of the hotel looks modern and pleasant, and there is a small indoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy. However, upon entering my room, I noticed a strong musty smell from the carpet, which was quite unpleasant. Apart from that, the room itself was spacious and clean. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, though there’s room for improvement in room freshness.

Stayed: August 16–18 Room Type: Standard 1 Bedroom King I had a mixed experience during my stay at the Best Western Plus City Centre. On the positive side, the room was clean, and the king-size bed was very comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our visit, and overall service was solid. However, the biggest downside was the hotel’s location and the safety of the parking area. There’s a recently opened facility nearby that unfortunately seems to have contributed to safety concerns—we had our truck damaged and some items stolen during our stay. While I understand this isn’t entirely under the hotel's control, it significantly impacted our comfort and overall impression. Due to these concerns, I personally wouldn’t stay here again, despite the otherwise good service and cleanliness. If security and peace of mind are priorities for you, I’d recommend looking into other accommodations.

Overall, great experience. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Delicious breakfast. Pretty close to main attractions on foot. It’s a 30 minute walk though from the Hotel to the Château Frontenac. Make sure you pack a good pair of shoes because some roads are pretty steep. As for the location, there are many homeless persons around. We didn’t mind it, we weren’t bothered once. If this is an issue for you, keep in mind the quality/price for your stay. I do recommend this hotel and probably will book again in the future.

Tip for parking: the CSQ building has underground parking with spots for Best Western guests. It was $18, instead of the $32 at the hotel. And it was secured parking unlike the basic gravel hotel parking. Beds and main room were good Bathroom was dated and my room didn’t had have those big shampoo, conditioner or body wash Breakfast was basic and they need to hire more people for service! Great location for restaurants and 30min walk to Old Quebec. There are unhoused people, who didn’t bother anyone. I felt safe

We have just passed a very pleasant and agreeable stay theŕe. The hotel has invested again in its fitness centre and installed a state of the art Matrix weight lifting machine. The pool continues to be a best of class facility, especially for families with children who need to be familiarized with the wet element. We also very much appreciated the renovations to our room (bath room with retrofitted mirror and renovated bathing facilities). We're hoping to be back next month (10/25) hoping to see lots of fall coulors in the Plains of Abraham/Battlefields Park.

For a 3 * hotel this is great standard and good value for money. It is outside of the walls of Old Quebec. It this means it is much cheaper than those right in the Centre. The walk to the Centre is about 20 mins but there are some fairly steep hills. If needed , a taxi is only c $11.||The room had a safe, fridge, hair dryer, decent bed, decent TV and a coffee machine so all you need.||There is a restaurant for dinner and one for breakfast here - we didn’t try these. There is a small pool and a small gym.

It's all in the details. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in every area. Special shout out to Renault T. and his lovely coworker Lana . They were so kind and helpful. As a g-free eater for medical reasons, I cannot thank them enough. While the hotel is a bit pricey for us it was worth every dime. Thank you

Google
We’ve stayed in this hotel 2 separate times. Each time, we were helped by Marwa and she was amazing, kind and helpful both times! The second time we came, she recognized us right away! We stayed in the executive room on our second trip and it was beautiful. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast here is very good. Most meals at their breakfast restaurant are included with your stay, and the few things that aren’t included only cost a few dollars. Parking is fairly expensive but the lot is directly beside the hotel and only takes a minute to walk to. They also have other lots close by that you can use if the main one is full but we didn’t need to use them. The main lot has a couple car charging spots which was super helpful.

Yelp
Stayed here for 1 night while visiting Quebec City. Breakfast is not included and there are no coffee/ tea stations in the lobby. Parking fee is $32 per night with tax is closer to $37. They have 2 parking lots, one next to the hotel and one across the street. Parking lots are not paved and do not have lines. We were on the 5th floor and the hallways smelled like chlorine even though the pool was on the 1st floor. The headboard in the room was damaged. Water pressure was good in the bathroom and room was clean. Check in and out was pretty fast and they spoke English. No status acknowledgment for Best Western member or water bottle which you typically get at other Best Westerns. They also could have let us know that there were 2 parking lots. The smaller one next to the hotel was already packed. 2 elevators for the hotel so most times there will be a wait to use.

Yelp
Knowing nothing about Quebec City, I worried and worried over our two night accommodations. Location? Hotel quality? I read reviews. They would be so varied. I'm happy to report that we loved our stay here. Yes, the location is a twenty minute walk uphill to Old Town. But it's also an awesome area itself. There are restaurants/shops/bars/coffee shops all around this area. Did we love Old Town also? Absolutely. But we were so glad to have chosen this location so that we could enjoy this other area of the city as well. The four of us arrived via train from Montreal and I'm happy to report that it wasn't a bad walk (even lugging luggage) to the hotel. It was the Sunday in October of the Canadian Thanksgiving, and the place was hopping. (cruise ships in town). You can't beat the deals you can get for this hotel compared to others nearby. Another wonderful reason to stay here. Check-in was friendly. Our room was super clean. Quiet. Comfortable. So let's talk about the walk to Old Quebec. How bad is it? That really depends on what kind of shape you're in and what route you take. It's definitely a bit of an uphill hike, but having (surprisingly) conquered Mont Royal in Montreal, this old gal did just fine. And if you don't feel up to it, grab a ride. Note: food-wise there is a restaurant attached to the hotel, but we did not utilize it. We had no problem finding nearby coffee shops & restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and am happy to recommend it.

Yelp
Great hotel! We stayed here for two nights. Nice clean room. Located in downtown Quebec, 15-20 minutes walk (uphill) to Old town. Nice pool. Friendly service. When I checked in we were given bottled water and granola bars, which was nice. Hotel is dog friendly. Has a cafe located at main level. Parking is valet. Overall we were very happy staying here.

Yelp
We stayed the longest at this best western. At first, i thought this bw was posher than the two previous ones i stayed at because as i checked in, the front desk was very professional and polite as well as the valet service, but I wished I could have changed my reservation to another a little further away since I had a car and parking was only by valet for $26 or find a parking lot somewhere in town, and their housekeeping was a horror: Pros: Front desk is definitely 5 stars - they were exceptional explaining the details of our room and stay as well as giving us a welcome gift and happy hour coupons since they do not provide breakfast, and checking out, I was distracted by getting the keys from my car and loading the suitcases that I forgot to check out at the front desk so when I called they were very courteous about it and checked me out without questioning me. Hotel is near old quebec, so if you don't have a car, it's just a 20 min walk. Beds were soft and clean. Amenities were better quality and replenished everyday. Valet service was quick and professional. Cons: House keeping - 1 star - after the first day, it seems as though they were angry or lazy having to clean our room even if we left a tip. The second day we were given a towel stained with either coffee, doodoo or blood. I have never had that happen before, and wonder if they check their towels before giving it to their customers. After that we checked our towels to make sure they were clean before wiping ourselves. Certain days the towels would be hard and one other day, they were soft. Third day, they didn''t clean our bathroom and replenished our amenities by dumping it in a pile. 4th day they finally cleaned the bathroom, 5th day they didn't vacuum our room, and i noticed one of my clothes i hung to wear the next day was pulled from the hanger and was stuck under the door on the closet floor, so i couldn't use it being the floor was dirty. I felt pretty filthy in the room I had to pay for, and they should be trained more to clean rooms better. Our room was next to the service elevator so we were woken up early in the morning with a rumble of the sound of thunder from them bringing the carts in and out of the elevator next to us and above, banging doors and talking. Sink space was really small to be able to put our bathroom belongings on. Parking is valet only so we couldn't leave anything in the car, and it was $26, plus tip. Overall, if I am renting a car again, I will probably not return to this hotel.

Yelp
The staff here went above and beyond during our stay. We booked 2 nights via air miles and 1 night through their site so upon check-in they tried to switch it so we stayed in the same room all 3 nights. We loved everything so much we wanted to stay an extra night. While we weren't in the same room on the last night, they made the transition as seamless as possible with our luggage and providing early check-in. They win in terms of customer service! The rooms themselves are spacious, clean and cozy. It was like settling right into home. The towels were replaced and beds turned down daily. Housekeeping didn't always replace the soap and shampoo when needed, so we had to call down for it. Otherwise no complaints. There is complimentary wifi. They don't offer free parking, but there is valet service. This was around $30/night with outdoor parking. Just call down from your room, they'll clean the car of snow and bring it to the front of the hotel for you. It's about a 20 minute walk from Old Quebec which isn't bad. The bus stop is also just a few steps outside if you don't want to trek it in the snow. The location has some eateries close by which you can check out as well. Overall, loved the location and so happy with our stay. Would definitely return!!!

Yelp
Good location about 15 minutes outside of the old town Quebec city and the main tourist areas by the St Lawrence river. Note that all of the walking consists of uphill. Staff at the front desk are efficient and get the job done but you just don't get the warm welcome feeling some other hotels convey to you as a guest. Each night after a long day of touring, we would walk past the small front reception area where all of the staff were located. There was never any greeting such as "hello" or "welcome" by any of the team. Housekeeping needs improvement as I left the standard card placed on my bed to change the linens along with an envelope they leave specifically labeled for tips on my bed. To my surprise when I returned, the tip was gone but my bed linens were not changed. Bathroom essentials were not replenished such as the roll of toilet paper and tissue. On the positive note, my room was clean and very quiet. I could barely hear any noise from the outside hall or adjacent rooms.

Yelp
We stayed there for four nights n the room was comfortable, staff was friendly. It sucks that covid s used as a reason to cut down something as important as cleaning. When we were checking in we were informed that because of covid the room will not b cleaned. I think that given the circumstances that should b a top priority. We were a family of three, all adults but there r families with small children n they make a lot of mess!!! I can imagine how they felt. When u go on vacation the last thing u want to deal with s cleaning, after all u pay top dollars and that's the least that they can do for you. We plan on going back to Quebec but we won't stay there.

Yelp
Very nice experience! I stayed in one of the executive rooms thanks to a contest win. This was in May 2012. Rooms were nice and clean, decor is more traditional/classic.The room I was in was remodeled. Beautiful king size bed that's very comfy initially, but since it's made of memory foam you tend to sink in, it comes down to personal preference. I've never slept on memory foam before and I'm used to something more firm. Really like the Herman Miller office chair, big Samsung flat screen tv, Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch. My favorite thing is their shower. Really huge glass door shower, removable shower head as well as a rain shower fixture on top. Free wifi in room. Must ask for password at reception. The slight drawback is the low water pressure. Could be related to the fact that many hotels are going "green" and save on water. We found that even the toilet had a little difficulty flushing. This wasn't an inconvenience to our stay. We were also offered complimentary breakfast at their restaurant. Great american buffet and many other selections to choose from on menu. Delicious. The location of the hotel is a bit far from main attractions. It IS walkable to Old Quebec although be prepared for a hike. Use a map or GPS on phone and you'll be fine. Service was prompt, friendly staff, overall hassle free and enjoyable stay.

Yelp
We were travelling to a conference in Quebec. This hotel was a bad decision as it's too far from the old town/citadel, although the site indicated all main attractions are on walking distance (yes, more than 30-40min by foot!). The rooms are old, cramped and bit dirty (stains on carpet and curtains). The AC is from the 80s and too cold or too hot to deal with. Finally the beds are uncomfi and no space to open 2 travel suitcases, and no room to work (except on your bed). In short, avoid this hotel for business (and tourist) trips as you can find much better and modern options in the old town (B&B), closer to everything.

Yelp
Conveniently located a half hour walk from Old Quebec, Fields of Abraham, and the happening Grande area, this was a comfortable stay. Room was clean, updated, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom incredibly efficient. (How did they squeeze everything in such a small space?? Turn around too fast and you could bang your nose. ) Needs more outlets for device charging. There is a decent hotel size pool. Not big enough for serious swimming, but good for kids to play around. For a small upcharge, you get the breakfast buffet. Not to be missed. Good variety of hot and cold foods. Excellent service from the breakfast team. All staff were courteous and helpful. This is Canada, after all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Yelp
Extremely comfy beds, welcoming staff, clean and very proper pool. If you're looking for a welcoming and relaxing stay this is definitely the place.

Yelp
I spent two nights here during a recent visit to Quebec. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's clean, comfortable and affordable. The pool/jacuzzi is open from 7am-10pm, free wi-fi, plus 3 public computers in the lobby. It's centrally located, so there's a lot to do in the neighborhood. The staff is very friendly, and you can exchange currency here. (My request was met with an "of course, madam!" from the employee at the front desk) They also have plenty of brochures about attractions in and around the city. There were lots of kids running around while I was staying here, but that's not the hotel's fault, and it's possible that all of the hotels in the area are like that. All in all, a very good experience!

Yelp
This hotel provided the perfect week-long stay for us two during our first visit to Quebec. There was a significant price difference between this hotel and those in the heart of Quebec City, so we took a risk and opted to select this hotel. Best Western's proximity to the city and YQB airport reassured us that this was the right choice, and; the level of comfort and service we experienced will make this a staple hotel during future visits.   TL;DR: clean, comfortable, affordable hotel perfectly situated in the city and a great choice for a long stay. Internet could be faster, but not a deal-breaker for stays that consist of sightseeing all day. I will stay here again.   Location: 20-minute walk to the old city, the bus stop is around the corner, and the average Uber rate to Chateau Frontenac was about $7-$10 (or $16 during peak times, i.e. 6pm.) It's within a short walk to excellent places to eat. Uniprix (equivalent of a CVS pharmacy) is right across the street and was perfect for quick trips to get water bottles, ibuprofen, and other toiletries. The hotel is a 20-minute drive to YQB airport, which makes the Uber ride affordable ($22 for me). There are 2 cafes in the lobby area. 1 cafe serves coffee, tea, sandwiches, and pastries. They offer a 10% discount to hotel guests (and 30% discount on pastries from the previous day!) The other cafe is more restaurant style with excellent breakfast options that were greatly priced (i.e. $15 for a well-packed omelet that came with house potatoes, fruit and toast), or a breakfast buffet for $17. Dinner is also served but we didn't try it. As a vegetarian, however, I was happy to see a veggie burger listed on the dinner menu.   Service: everyone from the front staff to housekeeping greeted us at all times. I can't relate to other reviews criticizing poor hospitality. We were always greeted. At a minimum, there was always eye contact with a smile. Our room was cleaned daily, and all toiletries were refilled timely. Towels are changed if left on the bathroom floor, and bed linens are changed by placing the request card on the bed. Bed linens are automatically changed every 3rd day. There's an ATM in the lobby, which made it super easy for us to insert our American bank card and get Canadian dollars ($2.50 fee.) The front staff also helps book tour buses. We had already booked a few on our own so they helped us schedule pickups at the hotel and not at the tour bus's designated pickup locations, which were 2 blocks or so away.   We also want to recognize Leah in this review. She was extremely courteous at all times (we had so many questions!). She was patient, knowledgeable, and gave us tips on what to do, where to visit, and even helped us understand some of the tourism flyers to make sure we always purchased the best value. There were a few days when Leah was working the long shift, and she was consistently courteous whether we asked questions early morning or late at night. Leah was awesome!   Cleanliness/comfort: the beds were comfortable and the pillows were so fluffy yet firm enough to not sink throughout the night. I was worried because I have a bad back and have the Cadillac of beds back home (king size, tempur-pedic mattress, the works). This was a perfect bed to sleep on for a full week. Bathroom linens were also comfortable, I was expecting rough towels due to the affordable price and was pleasantly surprised to notice that they were soft. The AC worked perfectly and was quiet. Our room had a small fridge and a nice TV. We used the in-room safe to store our laptop and iPad during the day. The iron and ironing board came in handy to press our clothes before our fancy dinner at Ciel. The ice and vending machine were nearby, though they're out in the open instead of in a closed room. I would not want to stay in the room right in front of those machines.   Things to improve (but not deal breakers): I'm not sure if vacuuming was supposed to be done daily, but ours was not. Little debris from opening souvenirs stayed on the floor throughout our stay. After 3 days or so, our furniture was dusty and not cleaned. I left a note requesting dusting and it was done then. There was also an instance when we came back at the end of the day to find that our door was left open with only the latch left folded to prevent it from closing. We didn't lose anything, but it was evident that it had been left that way all day. The internet is advertised (at least on Expedia) as 5mbps but that was untrue. I ran speed tests from my room, which yielded 1.5 mbps at most (and 1.8 mbps in the lobby). It was enough to stream video and do basic social media, but I can't imagine it would be helpful to someone needing to get work done or videoconferencing calls.   In the end, the good certainly outweighed the "not-so-bad." We're already planning visiting Quebec for Christmas and I don't see a reason to shop for another hotel. We're so grateful that this hotel contributed to our dream vacation.

Yelp
Okay. I wish I checked Yelp earlier only because I did not realize I would be allowed to bring my dog! Free dog check in if you check in here btw! Besides the point. Very nice place - everything was clean, plenty of space for everybody. It is quite a walk to the old quebec city, however the view makes the walk worth it, and not to mention it's great service! The concierge who checked us in was very helpful and accommodating. Wifi. No issues at all. Everything went well, you can use the wifi with up to 5 devices with the login they give you when you check in. Bathrooms were clean. However, something I remembered during my stay was as soon as we arrived, a few of us really needed to use the washroom. You'd have to ask the concierge for the key to use the public washroom. Parking. This is partially our group's fault as we thought there was free parking. Turns out it is VALET parking for a fee of $24/night. At first I was hesitant with the valet at first only because of the price. The concierge did mention there was other public parking and showed us the location, however it would be a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Since we just got to the city, i didn't want to waste time looking for these public parking so we ended up paying for the valet. It's not bad if you split the price between the group. You have to go up to the valet parker and hand in your car keys. They'll give you a card to call for whenever you need the car. Much more convenient than public parking if you ask me. No free breakfast but there are cafes to have brunch/breakfast if you want. $5 vouchers if you're a Best Western member ftw!

Yelp
Great location. Steps away from Old Quebec. I didn't mind the walk. If you don't want to walk, bus and taxis are right outside. Very friendly staff and most were bilingual. Room was big enough for 3 and rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Some mornings the lineups for breakfast were a bit long but well worth the wait. Definitely will return in my next visit to Quebec City. Can't go wrong staying at this location. Great value. Enjoyed our stay here. Great wifi service everywhere in the hotel.

Yelp
How much.... The hotel it self is located in the center of town, which is convenent and all. The hotel it self is a bit run down looking i would say it wont hurt if it got a face lift. The room we got was a double queen. The room is space the bathroom is working kind of. The room has an old TV, the molding on top felt like it was going to come down on you. The bathroom had OK lighting the toilet was poorly working, the shower took a while to heat up, the vent in the bathroom keeps it cold. The solution was to run hot water for a bit to warm up the room and then take the shower. The pool closes at 10PM, you need your guest card to get in the door. After 10 PM it wont let you open the door. Seriousl 10pm after a long day you cant even relax BOO. When i did get in the pool is small but warm and just a nice feeling. The jacuzee was not warm but did circulate water poorly - basicly it was like sitting in a warm pot that circulated water. The other thing that kind of pissed me off was the parking? One its valet for 20$ CAD per day they will park your car. They will park and return your car as many times as you want that day but its 20$ per day WTF. The solution was to park one day and then walk around and find a cheaper parking lot which we did for 10 CAD per day wich is cheap. The one thing is that it is kind of un-attended lot at night but you can park and leave as you please when you please. The hotel valet is un-avalbile between 12 am and 6 am. So if you want to check out at 3 am and go home YOU CANT. The hotel does have an indoor resturant - if i where you i would skeep it so expensive might as well go to some bistro or something around the hotel or walkt to the old city - 10 min or so, lots of places to eat there. The hotel does have a free WIFI internet if you need it. The staff can seem a bit un-attentive at times and a bit cold as well but then again im not there for them. If you just want a place to sleep in the middle of the city this is the place for you. Would only return if the price is right.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, the staff are extremely helpful. Good location, close to lots of restaurants, & shopping. Definitely spend the extra money for a room in the executive area, There is an additional security door to get to those rooms. The showers in those rooms are great! Very good beds. If I ever come here again, this is where I will stay.

Yelp
Very nice place to stay with excellent rates & perfect customer service. We arrived very early around 11AM however the room was ready & available. Check-in was a breeze and the receptionist was very helpful in providing info on where to go and restaurants close by. We arrived during a neighborhood street faire which was a bonus. It is a bit of a walk to old Quebec City but you are then able to see other parts of the city. Our room was very clean and the king bed was one of the best we have experienced. The room was very quiet so very easy to get a great nights sleep. Had a minor problem and it was fixed immediately. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
The only plus is just location. Located in the newly developed La Roche neighborhood, it is within 15 minutes walk to Old City. Be mindful that you have to take the stairs up the wall... or take the elevator (which closes early). There are plenty of restaurants nearby in either Rue St Joseph or Rue St Jean (I particularly love this street). Valet parking is $20/night. Gym and indoor pool exist but quite the bare minimum. However the housecleaning service I have to rate one star only. They did not even make our bed nor take out the garbage. Funny thing is that they took some of or linens and didn't even replace it. I had to callfl for fresh linens and made my bed when we returned to the hotel late after dinner. They just replaced our towels and that was it! If we stay in a three star rated hotel I expect some cleaning service too!! At best I would rate this Best Western a two star.

Yelp
The boy and I stayed here for one night, before continuing a road trip from Halifax to Montreal and Ottawa so I cannot speak to the hotel amenities in a ton of detail (we did not eat there or use the pool), however we had a pretty good experience here. I mean, if you have seen one chain hotel (BW, Holiday Inn, Days Inn, etc) you have seen them all so I can't say there was anything original about it. Just your standard mid-range hotel, but we had good service from the front desk and valet - everyone we dealt with was friendly. Just be mindful that you will pay $20 a day extra to park + tips for the valets (they had a pool so we usually just threw a toonie in, but that could add up if you are in and out alot!). Our room was nice and clean - 2 queen beds. The lobby was quite small, which made it easily crowded when lots of people were checking in/out, but not a major issue. I will say that the entrance to the hotel is on a bit of an awkward one-way street - you have to drive past the hotel and loop around in order to park in front, which was not a huge deal but sort of annoying, esp if you are in a city you have never driven in (just something to keep in mind if you are driving yourself). Also, it is a good location but not super central. If you are looking to be close to the old part of Quebec it may not be the best choice for you. If you are driving (which we were) and don't mind parking in Old Quebec to sightsee in that area (which is what we did) than you are fine, but if not you are looking at probably a 30 minute walk to Old Quebec. Again, not a big deal but just something to keep in mind depending on how you are structuring your trip. It really didn't matter for us as we were only there a short time anyway and we were more concerned about getting a deal than location, but if I went back again for a longer period I think I would stay somewhere more central. So, not great but not bad. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean hotel than this would be a good choice, I think!

Yelp
Friendly staff. Very clean hotel in a central location walking distance from the historic area as well as many shops and restaurants. Room was in good condition with a large TV. Huge room with a tiny bathroom, but good water pressure and very hot water. Moderate noise from hallway and adjacent room. Wifi worked but was too intermittent to play video games. Bed was comfortable; too soft for my taste but many people would like it. Good value for price paid.

Yelp
Overall a good value. I'd likely never outright recommend this place, but it worked for us and it likely will for you too. REALLY soft beds, to the point of being uncomfortable and a fairly disinterested staff take off another star. All said the price is right and being located just under Vieux-Quebec is fantastic. Give it a shot.

Yelp
15 minutes walk to the french quarter champlain. Short walk to nearby cafes and restaurants. Great hotel for walking to nearby attractions. Small pool but have decent cafe/bar inside the hotel. Seems always crowded with many tourists in the lobby. Overall good hotel for 1-2 days to overcome nearby attractions for a short getaway.

Yelp
My friends, girlfriend, and I stayed at the hotel from June 19 to the 21st as part of our road trip through Canada. When we got to the hotel one room smelled very moldy and damp while the other room smell like they tried to cover the damp smell with excessive amount of perfume. When we complained and requested a room change the customer service Rep was very unhelpful and initially tell us that there were no more room open and when we insisted, gave us another room upstairs but complained about how much the hotel is going to lose by giving us that room. That night we noted that the bed sheet still have stains and the soaps from the previous occupant were still in the sink. We again complained and they changed the sheets and one of the two old soaps. However the sheet they changed into is ripped. The only saving grace is that they gave us a 100usd gift card which we used to pay forour parking. The hotel stay made me feel dirty. Will never stay there again. Definitely one of the worse hotel experience I had.

Yelp
Came here for an anniversary trip & had a great time. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. Very dog friendly, our dog was given a goodie bag, a map of nearby parks, and the option for doggie spa/massages. (To our dog's dismay we did not sign him up). The area around the hotel seamed a bit run-down, but we found some great restaurants. We didn't mind the walk into the old city, but it would have been nice to be closer. Downside, there is not a parking lot for the hotel and the parking fee was pretty expensive. All I all, I would definitely stay here again, but will research places to keep our car or look closer to Old Quebec for convenience.

Yelp
Excellent place to stay. Very clean and staff were super friendly. When we checked (first time in Quebec city), the guy at the front desk was way more than help du. He showed us on a map all the places we wanted to know about and visit. We were upgraded to an executive suite and had a welcome bag given to us as well at no extra cost. The only thing we would complain about is that they have valet parking which is mandatory if you want to have your car parked by the hotel. Street parking is free until 9am, but we didn't want to risk it in case we weren't up to move it. So we paid mandatory $24 fee each night which was steep since we only used the valet twice. Once each night. Other than that.. Everything else was excellent.

Yelp
Location is pretty good. Most staff seem to bilingual which is a plus for us! Room is clean. Valet is super expensive, though not surprising.

Yelp
This is not a luxury hotel, but its location is good. Many good resturants are around the area. Parking is an issue, but once you are used to valet parking (cost $25 per day), you will fee OK. The good thing is about this hotel is that internet access is free. I am writing this review using one of the three computers in the lobby that are free to all guests. Many staying here are families. Good value.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! Stayed here 2 nights in October. Hotel is ideally situated, walking distance to Old Quebec. Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable and linen is fresh and crisp. Staff wonderful and prices very reasonable. Definitely would stay here again.

Yelp
I got this as a priceline bid and for the price I paid this hotel exceeded my expectations. Comfy beds (to die for!) clean, and friendly staff. Only problem is it's a good hike up the hill to get to old quebec (probably a good 20 minute walk) but there are some cute streets around the hotel. Just don't expect to be where all the action is. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't so far.

Yelp
I stayed here for a conference at the nearby Centre des Conres in QC. The convention center is only a 10-15 min walk away. I found the staff courteous (and english-speaking), the room clean and well-furnished, and the area non-sketchy. I pricelined the reservation so I think it was cheaper than the regular rate - very affordable. pros: - pantene pro-v shampoo/conditioner! (yes, this goes at the top. i love me some non-terrible hotel shampoo.) - tv with all sorts of french canadian/vermont channels - gym (treadmill, weight machine, bike, elliptical, medicine ball) - shower with decent (and adjustable) water pressure - coffeemaker in room with decaf and regular options cons: - no continental breakfast, and their 'all american' breakfast is like $15 - no refridgerator in my room (wishful thinking) caddy-corner (that's "diagonal", for anyone keeping track) from the hotel is a sports apparel/equipment co-op that is only in canada (mountain equipment co-op) which has some neat stuff if you like that sort of thing. also a drugstore across the street.

Yelp
The Best! Samsung flat screen with SANITIZED remote! KEURIG coffee! Wine Glasses and corkscrew! Rainmaker showerhead in 5'x5' shower! Safe! Robes! Private hallway! This was a superior stay. 2nd floor room had a locked hallway to get to our door. Great little cocktail bar, LE330 Bistro was dyno food! We travel a lot, and this is my 1st review ever! Only because this place was exceptional!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I booked a room here via hotwire (we picked the region but didn't know the exact hotel until after we had paid) and were extremely happy with it. As others have mentioned, it is not in the downtown area but it didn't matter to either of us because it was an enjoyable walk into the central areas each day and showed us a different side of the city. We received a complimentary upgrade when checking in so I'm not sure what the regular rooms are like but our room was fantastic. First of all it was huge with a king size bed, complimentary bathrobes in the wardrobe and a large bathroom with walk in shower with multiple shower heads. Heaven! I ordered room service once and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the size of the portions, even though it was still expensive (it was a birthday treat :)) The hotel offers valet parking but we opted to leave the car in one of the city lots nearby for about half the price. It was not a problem at all. It was excellent value for money and I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Three night stay at Best Western Plus City Center/Centre-Ville in Quebec City. Very easy check in and a valet parking. Side street temporary parking for unloading baggage made things simple. Standard room with 2 queen beds. Clean although a bit stuffy. Opened window for a some fresh air and it was fine. Construction directly across from our window as well as some sort of strike/picket line made for some minor noise that was hardly any issue at all. Occasionally heard a little of it but it did not disturb us too much. On our second day here the front desk area began repair work with construction workers, tools, ladders etc. in that area of the main lobby/reception. Again, didn't bother us much however, it was a detraction. Standard room, standard stay with the exception of the exorbitant valet parking fee of $24 USD per night. You do get in/out privileges however we feel the valet parking should be more fairly priced. $16-$18 would make it easier to accept and would seem more fair. Nothing exceptional here. A good, solid hotel with good location as everything is walking distance as long as you don't mind a lot of walking. We love walking and did quite a bit of it during our stay.

Yelp
Absolutely hands down one of the best hotel experiences of my life. I have traveled through Europe and I've stayed in Excelsiors, Hilton's, etc.. and this hotel does not disappoint compared to those 5 star rated hotels. The service is absolutely stupendous, and I have never even used 'stupendous' in a sentence before. The rooms are always so very clean, the beds are as comfortable as what I would imagine lying on a cloud would feel like. The bar/cafe in the lobby is extravagant, the hotel baristas and bartenders actually care about you enough to make conversation and give you ideas on what to see or do, the lattes and cappuccinos that we had were the best I've had since I traveled to Rome, and they know how to do latte art, which is pretty cool. The area that it's in makes you feel very safe, it's right down the block from a park and a starbucks, across the street is a bar which is open late with nice Quebecois bartenders. Absolutely recommend, and one of the reasons why we will be coming back to Quebec in the coming months.

Yelp
This hotel well exceeded expectations. We were upgraded to the top floor because they had no other outside rooms available and the room had a terrific view of the city. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful with every question/request presented to them. The room was immaculate, with the remote and extra blanket in sanitary holders even. Glasses, mugs, robes, a Keurig and the comfiest beds! My son loved the pool and hot tub, and it was very convenient having a restaurant in the hotel. (It's nothing special, but sometimes we just didn't have the energy to venture out of the hotel.) Also, it's not that far from the main attractions in the rest of the city. It is a short uphill walk or a longer (but not much) flat walk, and the staff was so helpful with directions. There is a nearby street with some cute shops and restaurants and a little church square as well. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Really great hotel. Staff is amazing, rooms are clean and modern, area is great. Its just a block up from the mountain and is near a Metro and nice area with boutiques. They even shipped back my friends jacket when he left it with the bellman. I would recommend for sure and would stay again. Staff fully bilingual.
