Where to Stay in Quebec City When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"I noted it as a four-star hotel with a crisp, contemporary design and amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness center, and on-site restaurant serving breakfast. Rooms are simple yet elegantly decorated, with a memory foam mattress, coffee maker, flat-screen TV, and desk; it’s pet-friendly (with a nonrefundable pet fee)." - Matthew Kepnes

Stayed: August 16–18 Room Type: Standard 1 Bedroom King I had a mixed experience during my stay at the Best Western Plus City Centre. On the positive side, the room was clean, and the king-size bed was very comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our visit, and overall service was solid. However, the biggest downside was the hotel’s location and the safety of the parking area. There’s a recently opened facility nearby that unfortunately seems to have contributed to safety concerns—we had our truck damaged and some items stolen during our stay. While I understand this isn’t entirely under the hotel's control, it significantly impacted our comfort and overall impression. Due to these concerns, I personally wouldn’t stay here again, despite the otherwise good service and cleanliness. If security and peace of mind are priorities for you, I’d recommend looking into other accommodations.

Great Stay with One Small Concern My family and I had a great stay at Best Western Plus City Centre. The location was perfect and we could walk to many places. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and well maintained. We appreciated the free bottled water in the room. It was a small but thoughtful touch after a long day out. Our room was on the main floor with large windows. While the natural light was nice, the windows faced a public walkway. If we forgot to close the curtains, people walking by could easily see inside. A privacy film on the windows would have helped so that even if the curtains were open during the day, we could still have some privacy. Overall it was a comfortable and convenient stay. We would definitely come back.

This hotel had a very good location. Close to everything. The employees were all very good. We loved the breakfast! It was very good. The man Micheal (I think) was outstanding! He got our breakfast ready to go for our super early departure. The parking lot does get really full. But we found a spot.|My mom and I stayed in the handicap room. It was okay. My sister and aunt stayed in another room down the hall, and it was very unpleasant. It stunk so bad!! I dont know if it was the carpet or the walls, but it was miserable for them.|Also when we left, my aunt got her purse stuck on her door. She didn't notice till we got to the airport. So we had to fly back and get it. The guy working - Nicholas - was so nice!!! He went to the room, and found it hanging on the door, and brought it to the front so we could just run in and grab it. |Overall, we enjoyed the hotel a lot. except for the smell.

Hotel was clean, renovated & the 330 Cafe for breakfast was great! Hotel & restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, big thank you to Elizabeth for providing us such great info! Now the hotel is located in downtown Quebec City & with all downtowns these days, there is homelessness. Although walking during the day was fine, there were parts that you need to be attentive and stay to main streets, night time we used Uber. We walked during the day to Old Quebec City & we were able to do it in 28 minutes not far, but lots of hills! Parking at the hotel was not free, $32/day but that is not surprising for city that is a vacation destination, parking lot was gravel. I would stay at this hotel again, but if you're looking to be in the heart of Old Quebec City it is a 28 minute uphill walk.

For peak season paying peak price to stay for 2 nights, I had hoped for better. It was the least clean hotel room out of all of the places we stayed throughout our road trip. The room was quite small and there was a bit of a smell. We found dirty socks left from previous people that stayed in the room and a pill that was left on the floor. Clearly not a thorough clean by housekeeping. There are 2 unpaved and uncovered parking lots next to the hotel, it's first come first serve. We were able to find a spot when checking in and later in the evening, we drove into old Quebec, when we came back, the outdoor lots were full so we had to go into underground parking that was in the building across the street from the hotel, 4 levels down! Given the time that we went into the parking garage (after 10pm), the elevators that were supposed to take us up stopped operating, so we took 4 flights of stairs carrying a heavy stroller with a toddler in it. This is an FYI if you happen to be in our exact situation. It's a solid 30-min walk into the heart of Old Quebec, considering the distance away, the price was steep. BTW parking fee is extra. There's a pool at the hotel and it's a good place to burn off the kids'energy. There's a capacity for 10 people at a time. The water dispenser next to the vending machine near the elevators is probably the world's slowest water dispenser. You're better off asking front desk to fill up your bottle in their back room.

I stayed 3 nights here. On the plus side: the location is great, the rooms are large and the bed comfortable, the staff is here to help you with anything. But the smell in the room was bad, the bath tube was a bit clogged and the safe wasn’t working. Also, the noise that the AC was making was so loud that I had to turn if off.

We’ve stayed in this hotel 2 separate times. Each time, we were helped by Marwa and she was amazing, kind and helpful both times! The second time we came, she recognized us right away! We stayed in the executive room on our second trip and it was beautiful. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast here is very good. Most meals at their breakfast restaurant are included with your stay, and the few things that aren’t included only cost a few dollars. Parking is fairly expensive but the lot is directly beside the hotel and only takes a minute to walk to. They also have other lots close by that you can use if the main one is full but we didn’t need to use them. The main lot has a couple car charging spots which was super helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights while passing through and chose it for its reasonable price and we’re so glad we did! One of the best features was the secure bike storage super convenient and gave us peace of mind. The room was spacious, clean, and had a fresh scent when we walked in. There was some construction happening, but since we were on the first floor, it didn’t affect us at all. While our window didn’t face the street, it really didn’t matter to us. Another plus: parking was super easy and convenient at $33 CAD. A great stay overall!
