Hotel Bahnhof

A most enjoyable stay in a wonderfully located boutique hotel. We (family of 3) stayed for 2 nights (June 2024) & appreciate the service & facilities of this hotel. Located just across the train station, it proved to be a strategic location in exploring lovely Schaffhausen as well as the nearby areas (Rheinfalls, Stein am Rhein among others). We appreciate the generous breakfast spread & the kindness of the service staff Corina. We highly recommend & look forward to a much anticipated return to Schaffhausen.

The breakfast buffet options are even better now than before. Try the quince jelly on buttered bread. The hotel is across the street from the train station, so you can get off the train and go right to your hotel without having to call a taxi or take a bus to the hotel with all your luggage. The air conditioning is a blessing when it's hot out. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Grocery store steps away from the front door. It's just on the outer edge of the pedestrian area of the beautiful old town with its painted houses and bay windows. You can walk to the Rhine swimming area (Rhybadi) or to the local fortifications (Munot). In less than an hour's walk, you can be at the Rhinefalls (or take bus or train to get there in less time).

Excellent location, opposite train station and close to old Town. Very friendly and attentive staff. Room was ok regarding size and very clean. Breakfast buffet surprisingly good, great selection of cold and hot meals. We'll definitely come back. There is even a little smoking lounge in the lobby area, so you don't have to stand in the rain while smoking. All in all a great experience.

All our stay in this nice hotel was just awesom! Hotel itself situated in the center of the beautiful Swiss town Schaffhausen. Clean, cozy room was full of everyrhing you need for the stay- all possible bathroom accessories including body cream, shower cap, earplugs, bathrobes, slippers. Even speaker from the TV was in the bathroom. Lady in the reception was super helpful 🙂. Breakfast was rich - fruits, yougurts, various choises of meat, chees, vegetables for the sandwitches , omelette, backed bacon etc. To receive a small welcome and parting gifts was nice too! It was one of the best of Best Western hotels i have ever stayed ! 🙂

Great location. Super clean. Well appointed and large room. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Our flight was canceled, and we arrived a day late. Nevertheless, we were not charge for the day we missed. Breakfast was excellent too. Highly recommended

Excellent stay at Best Western Plus Hotel Bahnof in Schaffhausen. The hotel is perfectly located - just opposite the train station, close to main bus stop without being too noisy. City center is right behind the hotel. We had the chance to stay in an extremely spacious room (we were 2 adults and 1 kid of 8 years-old). The view was great and bathroom really big too. We enjoyed all the amenities provided (free tea and nespresso coffee, fruits and little treats). Buffet breakfast was also a must with a wide variety of products proposed incl. lactose-free and gluten free option. To conclude the personnel was kind, smiling and helpful. It was our first time in this hotel but if we come back to Schaffhausen we'll know where to stay.

I stayed two nights in the one and only suite of the house: Pros: + Friendly staff. + Good coffee machine in the room. + Lots of storage space. + Clean. Cons: - Suite is just two rooms glued together. - Paperthin walls; you can hear everyone and everything around you. - Ancient, spring-loaded mattresses with basic pillows. - No phone charger in the room. - Suite is on the first floor of five, closer to street noise with no view. - Breakfast buffet with shared cuttlery, handles, etc. Summary: Not worth what I paid but OK if you're in a hurry.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a very large room and there was also a large desk which made me comfortable to work for a couple of hours. Despite being opposite a Railway station there was no noise at all in the room. I really loved the breakfast that was very varied with premium quality products and well presented as well. Overall a great experience and I will certainly stay here again
