Best Western Plus Hôtel d'Europe et d'Angleterre

This was my second visit and I enjoyed it very much. I don't agree with the comments on breakfast, yes it's not a 5 star holiday hotel standard for sure but good enough to make yourself fully and prepare for the upcoming day. Location was close by to center and you can reach everywhere with a 10 min walk distance max. I also loved the gesture of putting a book on my room on my mother tongue. Thanks for that. Staff is very friendly and supportive. I keep recommending this hotel to my colleagues and I will keep staying here on my upcoming visits

The outside of the building doesn't reflect the inside, which is really lovely. Private parking at the hotel is 20 euros a night, however there is plenty of parking opposite, which is free.||We were greeted warmly and our room overlooking the river was beautifully decorated and very clean. We didn't opt for breakfast at 19 euros per person as I had taken plenty of tea and coffee and we chose to eat later. ||Easy walking into Macon and there is a little tourist train, which lasts 45 minutes and there are conversations for disabled. ||On the second evening we ate at Pizzacine a short walk from the hotel and the food was excellent, freshly prepared and one of the best crème brulé we have ever tasted.

We stayed only 1 night on our way to Lyon. From first arriving, we were greeted by warm and welcoming reception staff. Our room was ready and were given assistance parking our car. The room was large, comfortable and clean. As was the bathroom. All amenities were very good. We did not eat at the hotel, however restaurants and bars were in close walking distance. The room was very quiet during the night

This is one of many Grand Old Hotels that Best Western has refurbed in Europe. ||This was an unplanned stop with no advance reservation.||We arrived late in the day, tired, grumpy, and were treated very kindly. Desk staff had good English. The desk gave us our Best Western discount!||Breakfast was an additional E13 each and secure parking was E18. Many hotels in Europe charge for parking.||The room was big, nice, clean and well equipped. There were no wash cloths but the best towels of the trip. There was AC with its own thermostat, a safe, kleenex and mini bar. There was a lift and then a bit of a walk to our room. Hotel has access from underground parking area.||This is a typical BW rehab of an older property that preserves as much original charm as possible while providing modern conveniences.||Breakfast was the typical lay out of hot and cold, the only disappointment sub par coffee.||Don't let the exterior appearance fool you, this is a very nice hotel.||Parking was very secure. Don't be intimated by the photo or the ramp. This arrangement is typical in France and easily done with a little practice.||Perhaps we're too picky but we had a hard time finding dinner. Maybe we should have wandered further from the hotel. Our Domino pizza was disappointing because it tasted too much like USA pizza and not like European pizza.||We would gladly stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are very warm and helpful. The decor is beautiful. We stayed for one night and found everything to our liking and we would stay again. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there is plenty of restaurants a few hundred metres away. They do have a small bar so you can have a drink.

This is a cute, old-style hotel like they don't make them anymore. It's a hotel created many decades ago when travelling was style glamour. Little nooks and crannies everywhere, friendly staff and a pretty good breakfast.||The rooms are a tad small, or rather the bathroom/toilet are small. In fact, the toilet in the deluxe room was set against the wall, so if you're wide, it's a problem sitting.||The room could do with a refresh, like a few power points close to the bed for charging your phone, ipads, etc. Slightly brighter colors would make it a bit more liveable, especially the carpet. Although we were on the street side (river view), the room is very well isolated, and we did not hear any noise.||Airco works great. Inside parking is good, despite a bit cramped and there are EV chargers.

This is an absolutely delightful boutique style hotel we only had one night while driving through Macon but it certainly made our time in lovely Macon extra special. We were greeted by two fabulous ladies on arrival , one being the owner and other receptionist who made us feel so welcome (I almost felt I knew them) you don’t always get this level of hospitality) so I can only say to anybody staying in Macon to definitely visit this hotel. It is also close to the beautiful square, restaurants and shops. Oh and also breakfast was delicious! Thank you so very much for your wonderful hospitality. Trasa and Robert (Ireland)
