The first room they mistakenly put us in had Queen size bed (instead of King size), it smelled of dump/mold. We had a call 7am the next morning (Saturday weekend!) telling us there is some administrative issue with our check-in, and to come down to the reception at our convenience. If it is not emergency, why would you call the guest and disturb at 7am on Saturday? Next, the room service was not informed that we are still in the wrong room and have not changed our room, so the lady came knocking at 8:20am and calling out "Room Service!" repeatedly until I opened the lock on the door. She apologised but put the blame on us for not hanging the "privacy please" notice on the handle. We didn't ask for room service! You do not disturb guests who are staying for more than one night in your hotel at 8am on a weekend or any other day! Other hotel services wait till at least 9 or even 10am to come knocking asking if they need any towels or coffee/tea refill.
When we went down to the reception, the receptionist told us we are put in the wrong room by mistake, and if we would like to stay in the room or move the room we actually booked. Again why would you call me 7am in the morning if it was a simple choice issue? Why would you omit the difference between the rooms? We had already realized that the booked and paid room had King size bed, so I mentioned it to her. She confirmed that was the case, and we asked to move after the breakfast. She wanted us to move by 11am or 12ish (so that cleaning crew could do their job, which I understand).
In the other room, the large window above AC and next to bed, one of its glass was missing. One side had two layers of thick glass, the other had only one which was frozen due to -30 Celsius at night. I don't know when it was broken but maintenance was really slow. The electricity power was really low. If the lamps were on, and we would turn on the microwave or coffee machine, the lights on lamps would go really dim.
Last night before check-out, I forgot about their poor electricity power, and turned on TV, microwave, and the coffee machine. Because I was hungry and thirsty all at the same time. The power on all outlets went out. I knew it was just a matter of turning back on the fuse circuit. But the receptionist did not know what I was talking about or pretended not to understand and try to open the electricity room (which was on every floor!). It is usually a plastic fuse switch, and all they had to do was find our room number and turn on the power on the outlets that belonged to our room as simple as that. But the only suggestion they had was that we move again! Which I refused, it didn't make sense to go to another room on the last night!
I had asked for email invoice on the check-in, at 4:30am the same night of the power issue, there was a wosh wosh noise that woke me up, that scared me. I started to look around in the room to find the cause of the noise in fear. They had slit under the door a paper invoice! Why? I don't understand why every single staff that changed many times through out our stay kept doing things in the crack of down or even before that! It didn't feel like we are welcome there at all!
The TV didn't even have youtube connection, the remote wasn't always working, it took few clicks before it changed the channel or turn up or down the volume, connection to the cable a while. Also, they had plumbing issue with the bathroom toilets.
