Best Western Swan Castle Inn

We had the family suite which was huge, very nice. I was impressed with the location and felt very safe. The only issue was that the desk staff was rude, not all but the overnight one. When we tried to get a muffin for the kids early in the morning he actually screamed at my husband in front of other clients. He was angry that he was eating before the breakfast "started at 6:00". Meanwhile we checked out of the hotel at 5:45am and the dining area was full of people eating ... I guess it was only certain people that couldn't eat beforehand. We left hungry.

Great location if your catching the ONR train/bus, quiet rooms, rooms are well kept, great free breakfast. Check in was fast, however if you show up a bit late you have to ring the door bell to check in nothing really to worry about the front desk worker comes fast enough to open the door.

We stayed here on our recent trip to Cochrane. Initially the receptionist gave us a room which was stinking like hell because it was a pet friendly room. When I asked her to change the room she said unfortunately we are fully occupied and there is no room. When I insisted out of no where a room popped up and she changed it. Why not do it right away? I had a 3 year old with me and I explicitly told her that I have allergies to cats.

The hotel was very clean!! Everywhere! The room was large and comfortable with a desk and chair as well as a chair and ottoman. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with lots of options including a great coffee machine! If you need to be in Cochrane for any reason, this is a great hotel and as I said clean! That is #1 for me!

Gord Downie suite was great. Spacious. Clean. Nice theme room complete with records and a record player. Quiet and out of the way suite. Great breakfast here as well. Very comfortable bed. Across street from Ontario Northland train station. Short walk to a large pond with a long boardwalk. Hotel willl also lend you a fishing road. Would stay again.

Nice hotel! Fast, easy and friendly check in and check out. The hotel and rooms are clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Convenient and free parking. There is a good restaurant right across the street. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Pet friendly, DEFINITELY NOT! Called well in advance to book a hotel room, mostly because we signed up for their points program. Apparently PET FRIENDLY to them means ONE ROOM and Dog Only! I think I’ll skip this chain from now on… Falsely claiming to have pet friendly rooms…

The rooms are nice. If you are in the front side of the building it can be a little noisy with the trains but it's not to all the time. It's in the downtown area of Cochrane. The Internet can be finicky and is slow for today's standards. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Don't stay here. Construction going on until the evening time. Front desk does not care about it. I called the front desk and the man said there is nothing we can do. No apology or nothing. I'll contact head office best western tomorrow.

We arrived around 4pm and the hotel did not have hot water... They had corrected the issue by the time we got back from dinner, but the hotel just doesn't look clean. Sheets had what looked like a small pizza cheese stain on it... Ugg. Our tv didn't have an HDMI cable so we couldn't watch tv... What should you expect for a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Lol
