Missed our flight and needed a place to stay overnight. Best Western seemed to have the most promising reviews of the options in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service (kudos to Rose) and the clean room.
We were warned that the breakfast provided was not a real breakfast, but it was very real to me! Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal, yogurt, and waffles -- yum!
The shuttle to and from the airport is super helpful. Call for pickup instructions.
The elevators take awhile during peak times (i.e., check-in, breakfast, check-out).
There are a few chain restaurants nearby, including McDonald's, IHOP, and Dunkin Donuts, but you may run into some homeless folk as you walk over.
The hotel provides a list of nearby restaurants, but it doesn't include the Safeway grocery store and Long's drugstore that is about a 15-20 minute walk away in a different (and safer) direction, which is helpful for affordable snacks, drinks, and basic needs (e g., toiletries, medication, etc.). There are also restaurants and bubble tea in that plaza.
Depending on your needs, I would recommend this place. It was the best experience we could have had given the situation we were in.
