Yes, the hotel building is old and showing it's age, But our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I found our room (on a higher floor) quiet. It seems that the airport is pretty quiet at night. The included breakfast was decent and in a large dining room. I liked that they offer a bagged breakfast for those who may be checking out earlier. The pool and pool area was pleasant. Laundry room had plenty of machines. The hotel is in the middle of a not-so-pretty industrial park, but the hotel gives a nice list of restaurants and convenience stores that are in easy walking. The walk was surprisingly pleasant. All staff that we interacted with were very pleasant and professional. The airport shuttle was convenient. So, no, this is not a hotel for your dream island vacation, but serves it's purpose as a comfortable one night stay before or after a flight.

YOU HAVE TO PAY $40 A DAY FOR PARKING! A DAY. They were running a promotion for half off of parking if you signed up for their Rewards program. If you do decide to park on site, take a picture of your scan bar, and use the picture to scan, That way you can keep your original in a safe spot. If you lose it and don't give it back, they charge $75. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. The all you can eat breakfast in the morning was awesome. Rooms were decent but slightly dated. They did serve their purpose. Shower caulking was horrific, I'm pretty sure my 7yr. Old could do a cleaner job. Pool was relaxing, even in the rain. They provide pool towels to dry off with. Probably the worst location for a hotel. The freeway traffic noise is loud, even in the room with the windows closed, we could hear all the loud motor bikes, cars and trucks getting on and off the freeway.

Parking Full Time

Google
Interior corridors. Carpeted floors. Great views from higher floor rooms, especially if you're in the west-facing rooms. On several bus routes and walkable to/from the airport, although they do offer a free airport shuttle. Comfy bed. Some noise from H1 and the airport. There's definitely a homeless population in this area, but I felt safe walking around. Good and popular free breakfast, usually with sausage or ham. This hotel is a good budget-friendly choice if you don't mind a little noise and a little "city," and I would stay here again.

Stayed twice: before and after a trip to Japan in May and June 2025. Having grown up in the islands, I was familiar with the location. Yes, it is an older building on an island with limited to no space to build near the airport. Hickman AFB and Pearl Harbor joint base put their people in the hotel during transit, so guests should feel safe with that many military personnel. The raised H1 Freeway is right out the front door which does attract at least one homeless woman with mental issues but the hotel security is on top of the problem. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and quite helpful. If you keep in mind that this is a budget hotel, you'll find your stay at BW Plaza at HNL Airport will allow you to spend you savings on island experiences. Enjoy it. Praise it.

Google
The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review was because there is really nothing close by. There are a few restaurants like McDonalds and such within walking distance. But it is no where near any of the "sights to see". It is super convenient to and from the airport! The staff is very friendly. It is quiet inside the hotel. There are a lot of military personnel staying at this hotel which made us feel safe. It is in an industrial area and right by the freeway. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good. It was reasonably priced. If you need a convenient place to stay near the airport, this is a good choice. If you want to be able to walk to the Waikiki area or shopping and good restaurants it is very far from that type of thing.

We had a very nice day at the Best Western. My husband and adult daughter and I stayed for two nights while waiting for our cruise. Each room had two double beds, which was fine with us. It was clean and it was quiet. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom water was hot. |We went to complementary breakfast both mornings in what had been their restaurant. The dining room was huge, the breakfast was varied and delicious. Three waffle stations!|Check out time was 11, but our cruise didn't leave till late afternoon so we were allowed to sit in the empty restaurant and play games. Restroom facilities were available to us. They stored our luggage for no fee. |Within walking easy distance is a McDonald's, IHOP, Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, the big kahuna, pizza, sushi, Korean barbecue. ||It was a perfect, inexpensive place to stay between arriving from the airport (free shuttle service) and leaving for our cruise. Lovely pool, lovely courtyard.

Google
Enjoyed a room on the 10th floor. Room was very clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and soft. Windows were clean - which allowed us to enjoy our view of Waikiki and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was included and the food was tasty. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Utilized the shuttle back and forth to the airport. Vehicle was clean and ran on time, every time. Close to Pearl Harbor - could take the bus for $3.00 or a taxi for $20-25. Would stay here again.

Google
Stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions and had zero problems either time! Situated near a few restaurants and a gas station, the location is good and bad, depending on your reason for being there. Better for business, especially military affiliation, but a good distance from most tourist attractions. Recommend!

Yelp
Missed our flight and needed a place to stay overnight. Best Western seemed to have the most promising reviews of the options in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service (kudos to Rose) and the clean room. We were warned that the breakfast provided was not a real breakfast, but it was very real to me! Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal, yogurt, and waffles -- yum! The shuttle to and from the airport is super helpful. Call for pickup instructions. The elevators take awhile during peak times (i.e., check-in, breakfast, check-out). There are a few chain restaurants nearby, including McDonald's, IHOP, and Dunkin Donuts, but you may run into some homeless folk as you walk over. The hotel provides a list of nearby restaurants, but it doesn't include the Safeway grocery store and Long's drugstore that is about a 15-20 minute walk away in a different (and safer) direction, which is helpful for affordable snacks, drinks, and basic needs (e g., toiletries, medication, etc.). There are also restaurants and bubble tea in that plaza. Depending on your needs, I would recommend this place. It was the best experience we could have had given the situation we were in.

Yelp
So the saga continues with the unearthing of toe nails, hair wads, and left over dog treats. AND the free shuttle has no driver! So, no shuttle. We paid extra for our pet, but why? They never clean the room. All they do is change bedding and check the fridge. AND when my husband brought all this to the managers, they said to be sure to let them know when it happens again. WHAT? If this was my place and I heard all that, I'd clear the bill, apologize to my guests, call and emergency meeting with my cleaning personnel, find out what the hell was going on, and THERE WOULDN'T BE A "NEXT TIME!" Who says that? I hope this review shows some light here. Never again for me and anyone I can convince to avoid this BIOHAZARD hotel.

Yelp
The good: conveniently located very close to the Navy base and the airport. The breakfast is decent, a lot of variety. Now the bad, sandwiched in between the Honolulu airport and a 3 tier highway, if you value sleep this might not be your best option. It was so bad (the noise) that I had to change rooms. They have street races at night on the highway and the hotel is literally a stones throw to the highway. I mean, RIGHT NEXT TO IT! And when they aren't street racing you have to hear jet noise on the other side. It's really a lose lose.

Yelp
Mahalo Athena for your awesome customer service. I know you were encountering difficulties with reservations. I had the patience and your comforting assurance made 1 hour feel like 10 min. Upon Checking out - Athena was front desk and had me out in no time. I love reserving a handicap room for my brother from this best western. Staff is courteous, my brother loves the spacious shower and handicap accessories. Again I will continue to reserve a room here. Rewards member? If you're not one. You best sign up for one. It's a win win! Mahalo again Athena and the entire staff.

Yelp
I had a work trip and my job paid for week long accommodations here. I was thinking "eh,hotel by the airport" and not expecting much. I was quite surprised. My hotel room was clean and was fairly quiet considering it's right next to the freeway. The room had a microwave and fridge and was cleaned daily. The hotel has a small gym, clean, with modern equipment. There are clean towels and towels/sanitizer to wipe down exercise machines. The free breakfast was standard breakfast fare, every morning from 7a-9a, with hot and cold items. I just wished they open a little earlier so I could sit down and dine but they did offer a take out box I could fill. The hotel has a coffee cafe in the lobby and I bought an ice tea one morning that was pretty on par to Starbucks iced tea. There was confusion with hotel signage saying there is a sundry store, when I asked, I was told the store turned into the cafe. There is a pool but I didn't have time to utilize it. Overall, it was a good stay and I'm glad my job picked this hotel so I could try it out. I'd come here again on my own for I really liked the cleanliness, gym and free breakfast.

Yelp
I want to thank the team here for agreeing to refund my booking after my trip was cancelled. The customer service is top notch, and everyone has been professional and helpful. Cancelling a trip is a nightmare, this Best Western has been the ONLY vendor who has behaved with any integrity, Norwegian cruise lines have been outright thieves, the airline issued a credit, but BEST WESTERN The Plaza Hotel on Nimitz Hwy in Honolulu, Hawaii have been wonderful! I highly recommend them and will go out of my way to stay here in the future! Thank you so much!

Yelp
This hotel is close to the airport and so easy to get to. Great hotel with a large breakfast area with yummy Hawaiian rice and sausage. Price point and cleanliness was perfect and proximity to where I was going to was great. Thank you plaza hotel!
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Not bad. The room was comfortable and clean and spacious. Price is really good for military veterans. If you book directly thru the hotel military person, they give you free parking. Alternatively, there is free street parking located behind the hotel though there isn't really any space for drop off in front. Breakfast on weekdays (cooked eggs and sausage) was better than weekends which consisted of less than satisfying premade jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches which were not the most appetizing. Waffles and fresh mangoes were good. If on a budget, this is a good place to stay. We were on the 8th floor and had not experienced noise from the freeway

Yelp
We checked in for one night. Got in late around 10:30 pm. I would have asked for another room but was almost ready for bed before checking the shower. I will be putting down a towel inside the shower before stepping foot in there. Happy to be here for only one night.

Yelp
Needs to be demolished and started over. Extremely disappointed. It was old, dirty, placed near smokers outside our room, loud air conditioner and finally roaches.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. The room was old, run down, and so dirty. Rust in the tub, stains on the shower curtain, food on the microwave. Terrible. Plus the highway noise made it impossible to sleep. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Yelp
My family and I have been at the Best Western for several days now and up until now everything was great. While sitting in the common area near the breakfast buffet our two toddlers (17 month and 2 yrs) were running around and ran into the breakfast sitting area. Serena (a Best Western employee) yelled at our toddlers for being in the breakfast area. She didn't bother coming completely into the room or even take time to look around the corner and let us adults know that they needed to be out of the area. She was extremely rude and should not be working in a business where she needs to interact with people. Everyone else was very nice, if you have toddler be on the look out for Serena. Was told by front desk that this rude employee was named Serena.

Yelp
Nothing fancy, nothing top notch, the staff is friendly and the rooms seem to be clean but a bit outdated. It serves its purpose of a cheap stay to be near the airport for overnight stays... very close to the airport and they provide shuttles.... Parking is 30 bucks a night and spaces are tiny. It's a bit loud since it's near the highway I would recommend a room on the 12 floor.... I would stay here again just for the night

Yelp
Super fantastic hotel. I wouldn't change a thing. Ideal location if you're doing business at JBPHH. Staff is the best, most especially desk manager Athena! She is tops. I will never stay anywhere else when on Maui.

Valentina C.

Yelp
Too noisy, you can't rest, every minute there's work noise, and also noise from the highway
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
We stayed here several times. Convenient to the airport, rooms are clean. Staff is nice, shuttle is on time. Price is fair for Honolulu. It can be a little noisy if you get one of the rooms on the highway side. Decent breakfast included with the room cost. Excellent coffee shop on the main floor. Will stay there again

Yelp
I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN!!!! My family had been planning this since December 2023. It was my mother's Christmas gift to celebrate her 70th birthday!! This was the trip she said she wanted to experience before she left this world and we were making it happen for her, or so we thought. Our flight was canceled by United Airlines with only a 3-hour notice. We tried to rebook but earliest rebook would have gotten us there 3 days later and over 2 days of traveling. That was NOT an option for my 70-year-old mother, so we canceled the hotel. Unfortunately, The Best Western the Plaza Hotel refuses to refund me the $1, 712.06 I paid. Because they will not issue me a refund, I don't even have the option of rebooking my mom's trip for a later date. Her birthday was ruined and now I have no way of making her bucket list wish come true anytime in the need future. This hotel has left my mom broken hearted and me out of the $1,712.06 I paid. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER BOOK AT ANY BEST WESTERN HOTEL AND I DON'T RECOMMEND YOU BOOK HERE EITHER!!!!

Darren W.

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! My flight was canceled due to an issue with the AIRLINE, so I couldn't go on my trip that I had been planning for 1 YEAR. The flight was canceled the day of my trip as I was on my way to the airport. I was devastated, it was a dream of mine to go to Hawaii. The airlines refused me (of course) but this hotel WOULD NOT REFUND ME, even though the cancelation was no fault of my own. So on top of my trip being canceled, the day of, this hotel is keeping my money. I'm warning all travelers to beware of this hotel, if you have an emergency or, like I had. My trip canceled by the AIRLINES, they will NOT refund you. You have been warned!!! STAY AWAY!!

Yelp
The hotel receptionist, Rose, was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and since we needed to be close to the airport this was a great place to stay.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 months while our things came in from another state. And in that 3 months we parked on the top floor (4th) because that is all that was available, all the lower 3 were full. And someone over night threw a Heineken bottle out of their room window and broke our cars panoramic sun roof. It most definetly wasnt from off property as we parked on the 4th floor. It could have been an extremely expensive fix but our insurance covered it. We reported this to the hotel and they all acted incapable. We made different calls to different managers hoping to get different help and everyone said theyre not responsible for that. We didnt ask them to take responsibility. We just asked for help. Maybe cctv footage or cooperate with police. Or comp us for the small $500 deductible our insurance covered this, compared to the $18,000 3 month stay we payed for.

Sweet P.

Yelp
Decent place to stay and soooo close to the airport. Clean, good sized room and comfortable bed. Location is perfect. Breakfast is meh but better than nothing. I skipped it on my recent visit. Parking space tight and when idiots don't park properly, it is really annoying. It is as annoying as the parking gate reader always misreading the ticket as a bad/invalid ticket.
google avatar

Manuel S.

Yelp
Rooms are spacious. Not everything is nee but it's well worth the price. Close to shops, and base. Conveniently next to the airport.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here for a week and thought it was ok. There's no free breakfast as there are in many Best Western hotels, even as a Rewards member. There's a parking garage with about five stories to it which fills up by end of night to where you have to park along the wall. This tends to be safer than parking in a parking spot given that most of the spots are slanted with the elevation of the floor and doors can swing open...ding! Rooms are decent although nothing special to make you say oo la la. The hotel is situated next to the airport and Interstate so it is noisy all the time. We live in Washington DC and I've gotten used to the noise but this could be problematic for light sleepers. The beds and pillows were comfortable and I don't recall any issues while staying here. The lobby area is nothing oo la la either although they have a nice little shop for snacks and gifts. No concierge desk that I recall seeing if you're looking for help coordinating tours and such. I was here for work so not a lot of tourist opportunity. It's right next to the airport which is nice if you're here temporarily and want to get in or get out, or if you want to be close to some military installations. There are also restaurants within minutes walking distance such as Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, McDonald's...seemingly clean and safe area of town despite seeing homeless people along the nearby Interstate. They do have a pool, not that I used it, but I saw several families enjoying it. It's not a ritzy Waikiki hotel but it's easy access and serves its purpose.

Yelp
3.5 stars A pretty good, reasonably priced option if you need a one-night stay really close to the Honolulu airport. We had about 10 hours overnight between flights so this Best Western fit the bill. *reasonably priced, for Hawaii standards *free WiFi *free continental breakfast (assortment of breads and breakfast pastries, sausage, scrambled eggs, rice, pancakes, waffle machine, cereal, fruit, juices, etc.) *free shuttle to and from the airport (only about 5 min away) *our hotel room was nothing fancy but clean, updated, and comfortable enough There are a couple fast food restaurants walkable within 2-3 min (McDonald's, IHOP, Dunkin Donuts). The only downside is that it's literally right off the freeway so you'll have whooshing car noises on an almost constant basis. But I didn't hear many loud motorcycles or any honking at all. The AC was on automatically all night, serving as white noise to block the freeway noises so I slept like a baby, not bothered at all by the proximity to the freeway.

Matthew B.

Yelp
The room was clean which was a pro. However, I had a HORRIBLE experience at this hotel. At 1am I was awakened to hear men screaming and yelling down the hallway and, in the room immediately next to me, heard loud banging. This went on for two to three hours hours, with no response from the hotel. Catching an early flight in the morning, I got barely any sleep and definitely felt concerned for my safety, and made a point to make sure my deadbolt was secure. In the morning, I was greeted with this surprise in the photo (disgusting half eaten food directly in front of the door), presumably from the same group of guys. When I told the front desk about it at check out, I got no apology, just "oh those must have been those drunk guys who were hanging out front, we were trying to get them out of the front for a while." Two other small things, one of the bath towels reeked Of pot and had unknown hairs on it. And I was told parking was 15 because I was being signed up for best westerns reward program yet I was charged the standard price on my credit card. I know this isn't supposed to be the Ritz Carlton, but I would like to stay in a place that is safe where I can get a good nights sleep. In my opinion, this hotel provides neither and it makes zero effort to regulate its clientele or provide security, or to remedy bad experiences.
google avatar

Fely S.

Yelp
The front desk Baue is so nice. She always has that big smile when I come to this hotel. There's a little shop in the lobby that you can purchase snacks if you have those cravings late at night
google avatar

Tamika G.

Yelp
Wonderful service that will pick up from the airport. The hotel is an older hotel that's been remodeled. The staff is friendly enough I guess. I did have a problem at check in a manager needed to be called and she quickly assisted and made the issue right. We only stayed one night as we had an early flight out of Honolulu. There is a convenience store in the lobby as well as a media center with printers and computers. Also a restaurant on site the hours seemed to be a bit strange. I was a bit unhappy with the condition of the bathroom. I was so tired from traveling all I wanted to do was sleep. If I did have shower shoes I probably would have complained. Pictures will follow. The beds were comfortable, there is a tv microwave and fridge in the room. 3 stars because of the condition of the bathroom.

Alvin N.

Yelp
Nice place but no room service. If they had a good restaurant on site. If would be better
google avatar

Hoa N.

Yelp
This is my second time staying at a Best Western. We got the last room available and it's a handicap accessible room so the door is on automatic open and doesn't close right away. It was on the first floor right across from the pool so bugs would come with the door open. The place is ok. The towels I felt like the towels were not clean as there were some sorry spots but it could be stained that couldn't be washed out. I didn't know that they allowed dogs and people were smoking right by the rooms. Both my husband and and I have a mild case of asthma and so when we would inhale second hand smoking then we would get sick with bronchial problems. It never fails. We stayed for two nights and on the second day, we were both feeling a little congested in our chest. The breakfast area is pretty nice and clean. They have complimentary breakfast for hotel guests or you can be a paying customer. They only do breakfast. They have a nice spread of hot food available. I think we were to stay here again, I would ask to be in the main hotel section above ground. The AC until doesn't cool down the road entire room because it's a unit by the door.
google avatar

Dave O.

Yelp
Given the fact that I'm not paying for my lodging, I can't complain, even if I wanted to. However, I don't want to! It's certainly no beachfront resort with cool ocean breezes, but it's clean and the employees are very attentive. Free parking included and obviously it's conveniently located. Furthermore, since I didn't compare prices, I'm not sure if 150.00 per night is good or bad in these parts, but I have a hunch it's not bad. Since I'm here on business, of sorts, it does the trick. If, however, I was here on pleasure, I suspect I'd seek other accommodations. Having all of this written, I'd stay here again.

Maximus S.

Yelp
Good people and service every thing else is horrible the showers barely work rubbish bags all over the floor

Kelly B.

Yelp
My husband and I chose this hotel because it had a free airport shuttle and included breakfast. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean. the absolute best part of our stay we're front desk staff Rose and Beau. Rose was so welcoming our first night there and gave us great info on taking TheBus to Pearl Harbor. We had a wonderful conversation with Rose and Beau our second night about food, birds, flowers, snakes and all sorts of other things. Beau gave us a list of must-try foods. The friendliness of these ladies, especially Rose, made us wish we were staying longer!

Dan F.

Yelp
Compared to the super cramped accommodations of Waikiki this place is a luxury. For a big family or larger parties, just get two adjoining rooms. The free breakfast is higher quality amongst low quality free breakfast, but it's edible. Believe me being squashed into a tiny closet with two queen size beds is no fun. This place is much more spacious in comparison.
google avatar

Larry N.

Yelp
This hotel is very close to HNL airport, just minutes... Saying that, it is an easy 30 minute plus drive to Downtown Honolulu and longer to Waikiki Beach area. However, the hotel was a great stay for on business. Easy access to Nimitz Blvd. and the H1 freeway. If your military, there is a NEX shoppette pretty much across Nimitz from the hotel. And, the Pearl Harbor NEX and commissary complex is only about 2 miles away. The hotel itself looks dated, but my room was clean, the bed comfy and the wifi worked great. There is a gift shop in the lobby & an attached restaurant. There area looks shady, but we walked to many of restaurants within a block or two and had no issues. Many of the locals we passed even greated us. There is even a Starbucks a block away. The staff was amazing, both friendly & professional.
google avatar

Gaylyn R.

Yelp
Had to travel last minute for emergency personal residents. I didn't want to stay in Waikiki, wanted to stay away from the busy spots. I grew up in Hawaii (Oahu and big island) but I now live in Washington. I was able to book last minute. Literally the day of. I didnt know how long I would be staying so I booked only one night. The staff was kind enough to extend my stay when asked. I stayed Monday night til Saturday morning. I wasn't able to extend anymore as they were sold out. Finding a place to stay for the remainder of my trip, 3 more nights will be challenging, but they said I could call in the morning to see if there were any cancellations. The customer service is amazing! The people at the front desk are attentive and helpful. They always greeted with a smile. The house keeping staff were kind as well, they always told me hi every morning or when I passed by. The room were great, not fancy but cozy. The beds and pillows were so comfy I slept good. The rooms are clean, and are more updated than the hallways for sure, which look dated. The hotel comes with complimentary breakfast buffet... the food is good and has a good selection as well. Don't go during busy times as there are limited seats, there's a lot of seats but fills up fast.. Parking is $30 a day unless you're a best western member, which will discount it to $15. There's a parking garage which I liked. Overall, it was a good hotel, pleasant stay. The price was a bit pricey. You can hear the cars passing by, but you can tune it out. The walls would need more insulation but are ok, you can hear your neighbors if they're being loud. Also pet friendly! I'd bring my dog here lol. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Got an added value staying at Best Western The Plaza Hotel! FREE Breakfast, I'm not talking just donuts and bread here.. they got the load! Eggs, sausage, pancakes, make your own hot waffles (with the toppings!), coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, plenty of cereals. GOOD coffee, juice, milk, fruits and of course the breads... and it comes with awesome workers! Most recommended! FIVE STARS!
google avatar

Faith K.

Yelp
The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable while waiting for my room to be ready and for my husband to fly in. Very clean with excellent COVID Information Hotel Specific.

Edwin F.

Yelp
Room was clean, lots of space, appliances was clean and not old. Location near airport(5 mins away), can take one road to either the base or downtown Waikiki. Never any traffic near or around hotel. Parking is a must to get. The front desk clerks Sharon and Beau attending to all my needs.
google avatar

Daisy B.

Yelp
GROSS. Staff at front desk very kind and informative. Walk into room smelled like somebody has been smoking cigs in here for weeks..YUK!! Tried to lock the door..dead bolt does not work unless you lean against the foor with all of your might and lock the door.... The shower.. well thats just gross started the shower and the water just begins to pool up to my calfs by the end of my ten minute shower. Got out and it smells like barf so im guessing the clogged shower is from somebody's old barf. You can find a better place to stay!

M S.

Yelp
So turns out these guys can double your rate in the middle of your stay simply off of the fact that they can squeeze more money out of the military. Don't sign up for the rewards program because after 65 days of staying the stated there was no rewards because it wasn't a "qualifying rate" IT WAS MORE
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Nasty! Roach upon arrival. I'm outta here. The only reason I picked this was because I had an early flight. Now its midnight and I'm wide awake and looking for a new hotel.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
It suits its intended purpose: "inexpensive" lodging near the HNL airport. We checked in ridiculously late after our flight. We were allowed an extra hour beyond check out time. However, we all had trouble sleeping. The beds were uncomfortable and super bouncy/saggy. And small - the only options are a single king sized bed (we were traveling with 2 children) or 2 double/full beds. Unfortunately this hotel doesn't offer a complimentary breakfast, which would have bumped up its rating a star. The shuttle driver we got at midnight was great. The next morning, not so much. All other employees exuded the aloha spirit.

Yelp
We had a great experience at this hotel. Particularly if you are a military and have to stay for any significant period of time, the military liaison Les, is incredibly helpful in working with you to ensure that you have a safe secure and affordable place to stay while you are waiting for a house or leaving the island. The hotel is not brand new so if you're looking for something shiny and new then this is not the place for you. But more importantly it is clean and well-kept. It's super close to the airport and to the bases Hickam/Joint Base Pearl Harbor. I listen to other people talking about how much traffic there fighting to get to Waikiki and other areas and I'm thankful to have found this place so that I don't have to deal with all of that while I'm getting used to my new life here on Island.

Yelp
Stay somewhere else. For breakfast I got an apple, a granola bar and coffee. I don't bother anymore. The rooms are the loudest in the world. Cops, fire trucks whirling by, you name it. I was not allowed to eat my own food in the empty restaurant and I'm staying here for 2 weeks. Awkward entrance for vehicles by highway and you have to be very careful. No where to sit outside? The drain was full of hair and I showered in the refuse. I had the come replace a dead smoke alarm too. The front desk did not even acknowledge that I was unhappy. Nobody cares accept for the manger on here that defends his old, noisy, dank, hotel.

Yelp
Needed to stay one night close to the airport. This hotel has super friendly staff. Free shuttle from the airport and it's only around 4 min away. Basic and clean.

Yelp
My family of 3 stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for a PCS move. We enjoyed our stay here. The noise can be a problem of you're a light sleeper but it was convenient and they were very reasonable with early and late check in/out. The room itself was pretty clean. The air condition was a big problem for us because tends to get pretty loud at night, and if you use the bed closest to the door the cold doesn't reach you even when we adjusted the vent. So pretty much my baby and I were sweating while my husbad froze in his sheets. On the plus side the staff was amazing and catered to all our needs. Our room attendant Mercy was the best. She was always making sure our room had everything we needed, even though we didn't need daily housekeeping. She was nice enough to give us extra garbage bags and toiletries without us even asking. Sure the staff are bilingual but they were the most kind and considerate group of employees I've come across. It also helped that my husband was Filipino so he could discuss all of your needs and wants. There is only 2 elevators to the building but they came at a reasonable time. There is a small restaurant/cafe that offers breakfast every day and offers dinner from friday-monday. We got a $10 meal card, comes with your stay for TLA, per person every day that usually covered most of our meal and you would pay the remaining fee out of pocket. The food was only ok. It definitely needed more flavor. We used our meal cards every day so we pretty much tried the whole menu. I would recommend the breakfast but would advise to skip the dinner. It was bland and lacked a lot of everything. There is a small pool, opens 9-7, that goes from 3ft to 9ft. The shallow side is always crowded with kids from around 3-7. Since the hotel is located right by the highway the pool area tends to be loud but you get use to it. Surrounding the pool area is also where you can take your pets out to do their business. The area is always kept clean and doesn't smell. Next is the convince store and laundry room. They have pretty much everything you would need. From diapers to feminine products, ice cream to sandwiches, ramen to sushi, drinks and spirits, you name it and they will probably have it. I was surprised at their inventory each time I needed something they had it! It is very overpriced though but that's to be expected. The laundry room is dingy and small. It doesn't have a sink to wash your hands and has a small table if you wish to fold your laundry there, i wouldn't recommend it though as it gets really hot in there. They have about 5 washers and 5 dryers that takes coins or credit. It's about $3 per load for washer and dryer. Beware if you run out of quarters in the machine and didn't have enough and you decide to swipe you won't get your money back. All in all we enjoyed our stay here. We aren't very picky when it comes to hotels so, long as they are clean and safe for our son, it works for us. This place went above and beyond to help make it as comfortable as it can be for us. Also Les, the military liaison, will take care of any questions or concerns you have with your TLA . I would definitely recommend any military personal on PCS orders to stay here plus it's pet friendly!

Yelp
Excellent stay! I read the Yelp reviews and so requested the airport/ocean side vs the freeway side so thanks Yelp. My AAA CARD got me $10 off nice -bc this was literally a last minute contingency plan booking for me. Staff is what made the difference would definitely recommend to the practical & pragmatic.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel only because they offered points. We stay here for 2 months and paid lots of money. When we arrived we gave them our best Western rewards number and was told we would get our points. However, afterwards they said they would not give us our points because we received a special rate (that was more than the regular rate). Many of my friends stayed here during their pcs and received their points and this was the ONLY reason why I stayed here. Do yourself a favor and stay at a nicer place like the Hale Koa because they will scree you over anf not give you your points.

Yelp
Wife booked this hotel which is very near the airport and car rentals. She was sold on the free breakfast part, but for the cost of this hotel it is definitely not worth the price. We checked the room out and immediately left because of the noise from the adjoining Nimitz Hwy. No way could anyone possibly get any peace and quiet with this outside noise. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and understood our concerns. My wife got lucky and booked the Hilton Gardens in Waikiki for the same price and it was the best decision that we made.
