We enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. They have guest laundry which is very helpful for us. They have a latte machine in their cozy and adorable lobby. Yum! They have a full breakfast buffet with self made waffles and good bagels. They are super dog friendly too!

Overall it was an okay stay. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The only issue we had was that the bed and pillows were way too soft. Like sleeping in marshmallows. No support whatsoever. Would be better if they were more of a medium firmness to fit many guests' needs.

Great swiss style chalet. Amazing rooms. Excellent views. Easy access to ski trails during the winter. Easy access to hikes and bike trails in the summer months. Morning breakfast was good. Very close to great restaurants in sun valley. Highly recommend.

I've been coming here for over three years now and I book this place just for their amazing breakfast, clean rooms, and outstanding staff. Anyone who complains about the breakfast is a crybaby and you should disregard anything they say. I've paid for real breakfasts that weren't half as good as the one here. The options are limitless, bagels, breads, fruits two types of melons three types of berries, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, meat sometimes two at a time, eggs that are actually good and filling, oatmeal, cereal, delicious jams, and three different yogurt topping oh yeah a whole yogurt bar!!! Literally this is the best breakfast food in town come stay here just for the breakfast you will not be disappointed. Oh and THE BEST WAFFLES EVER!!!! 🧇 😋 I love this place. Any negative comments are sad people who want to find things to complain about sorry not sorry. 🤗🥰 also the views are amazing. This place is better than the sun valley resort by far.

I just wish to let future guests know about the hotel policy. We had a reservation for arrival on July 5. On July 2nd I had a mishap with my already bad back and found we would not be able to travel. I phoned early Wednesday to tell them we needed to cancel due to this. This was 72 hours notice. Most hotels accept 24 to 36 hours notice and refund your money. We’ve traveled a great deal and this is the first hotel that said due to it being the busy season they needed 30 days notice and only under special circumstances could they refund the money. It wasn’t even 30 days ago that I made the reservation. The front desk clerk was very nice, but very difficult to understand due to her charming accent. I informed her that I would let other future guests know this outrageous policy. Even though I’m told how busy they are I’m told I still have to pay because they didn’t find a guest for my reservation. I find this to be very poor customer relations. Naturally when we are able to go to Ketchum we will not patronize this hotel. I told the clerk I was going to post this review and she said fine that she would write her response that I knew this policy in advance. I thought that the policy of under “special circumstances “ would apply here. Have no idea what that would be. Maybe the person has to be dead and then they will refund when you supply a death certificate. I’m retired and every dollar counts. This $400 is a lot for me.

Everything about this place was pleasant. Clean, medium firm beds, medium soft pillows, excellent work out room, and great location ( close to town but overlooking mountains and a quiet area)|Breakfast ( simple but nice serve yourself) fruit, eggs, biscuit & gravy|Cottage cheese , tortillas, salsa|quite a selection for a hotel!

Very clean and wonderful accommodations. Breakfast actually had nutritious options, unlike some hotels. It’s right across the street from the Sun Valley ski resort. You can actually walk over there. Staff are super friendly. Everything‘s really clean and they do sanitize and have sanitizing wipes all over the place. Definitely will come back here.

Google
The staff was very friendly and the room was fine, but the breakfast was a struggle. The fruit was mushy, and the hard boiled eggs were soft boiled and gray, and the potatoes were stale. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay, but maybe get breakfast somewhere else

Yelp
this is my experience at the best western Tyrolean Lodge: BREAKFAST: the place was very, very cute and very Fancy! I had waffles I had breakfast potatoes with ketchup and it was really really cute and very very yummy. My sister had cereal And hot chocolate. BEDS: best beds I've ever slept on in hotel very very comfy. I slept right next to the air conditioner. but the only Downside of the bed is that it sometimes gets too cold or too warm. ROOM: the balcony is lovely, even though it was shared., the bathroom was very well decorated. it had a marble counter and it had a bunch of different pot products that you could put on your skin and hair the TV also wasn't very well place. It should've been it should've been in the middle of the room. so both sides of the room could see equally. POOL: there's a pool here and a Hot Tub and it's very very nice but the only thing that isn't good about it is that in the pool it has a bunch of pinecones in it and other unwanted debris Game Room: there is a game room here that has 4 Game ping-pong, air hockey, tic-tac-toe and foosball. And there is way more. There are a lot of board games in the lobby as well. Wi-Fi: was very hard to get to the password and wasn't even really that good anyway. Other things to add: this is the best hotel. I think I have ever been to. I recommend coming to this place if you are a deep sleeper. and are willing to pay a high price. This hotel feels like it's never ending. It's really cool. They are outdoor rooms. There are indoor rooms. It's so big! This is the coolest hotel I've ever been to! (Also try the mints in the front lobby they're very delicious!) Happy Father's Day to all!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay here. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly at check in and gave us several recommendations in the area- which were spot on. Our room was on the second floor, it's an older building without an elevator, but it wasn't an issue for us, and our room had a beautiful view. The breakfast provided was great! My only complaint is we only spent one night!

Carole W.

Yelp
We had a great stay at the Tyrolean Lodge. It is in a great location, close to resort and walking distance to town. The breakfast was really nice everyday. Always fresh fruit, breads, eggs, selected meats, and great coffee. Made the start of the day perfect. The front desk was so friendly and welcoming. 8 years ago we stayed at their Best Western in town, that hotel was nice to. I highly recommend this hotel, made our trip easy.

Yelp
Super lodge to stay at when you are in Ketchum. It is the closest to River Run at Baldy, you can see the runs as you have breakfast. The bus stop is a 1 minute walk for a 3 minute bus ride. Close to town, movies shops and restaurants. Welcoming staff, clean well appointed rooms, with everything that you need. Pool and jacuzzi open year round. Fantastic well rounded breakfast...even gluten free and oat milk, berries and hot proteins. Dog friendly. We are staying here in May Slack season and love it.

Yelp
Price was a little more than it was worth, but given that it was during the Sun Valley Writers Conference and high season it was a relative bargain at $245 per night. The little motel has an Austrian Inn theme and has some charming amenities such as a game room and a cappuccino machine in the lobby. It is a bit dated, but clean. My favorite part of my stay was that it was my first post pandemic trip in which daily maid service was not asked for specifically, but most graciously received. It is conveniently located just a mile from the Sun Valley Lodge and Village. It faces Mt Baldy and I thoroughly enjoyed reading in the Adirondack chairs on my second evening. and The complimentary breakfast included super yummy summer berries and yogurt as well as the usual Best Western fare of steam trays with eggs, meat and soggy potatoes and make your own waffle station. There were delicious and innovative tea offerings.. When I check out tomorrow, I will make a toasted PB and J for the road. Minus one star for not having an elevator and having to schlep your own bags up some awkward winding staircase. Four stars is pretty great for a Best Western in my book. If the rate had been $100 less( which I suspect it is most of the year, this would be a solid five star review.

Anne D.

Yelp
A very cozy lodge with every amenity you could imagine - I spent every morning relaxing by the fire drinking my awesome coffee (they have an epic coffee/latte machine) - they also have a nice exercise room which isn't huge but works perfectly for a nice workout. Very close to town - we easily walked to dinner and other activities. There is also a bus line which makes getting to Sun Valley Lodge easy and fun. The best part though, were the wonderful staff. They were delightful and accommodating. Highly recommend this cute, comfy and cozy lodge.

Christine K.

Yelp
On our first visit to Sun Valley we chose to stay at the Best Western Tyrolean Lodge because of the proximity to Bald Mountain. Upon our arrival our room was not as clean as I would've liked, but it got better. The daily maids freshened it up and we got clean towels, glasses etc each day. The complementary breakfast comes in handy if you're in a hurry to go skiing. Coffee maker in the lobby is nice. Most of the front desk staff members are helpful.

Wendy B.

Yelp
Best Western Tyrolean was a good, mid-priced option for us. There are two Best Westerns in this town, one on the main drag, and this one a few blocks away, still convenient to downtown Ketchum, but away from most of the hustle and bustle. There is an open meadow across the street and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Our bed (with pillow top mattress) was comfortable but not too firm. The room included a refrigerator and coffee maker. Multi leveled, there are no elevators, but at least the stairs are indoors. They have a hot, continental breakfast that is included in the price of your room. It includes eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereal among other choices. At 4pm, there is a tray of freshly baked cookies set out for their guests. There is also a hot drink machine that makes a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, or dispenses hot water for tea, available 24/7. This is a pet friendly motel, but I had a hard time finding the wheelchair accessible accesses. Never did find it, but they assured me it exists. The entry level is oddly designed to have choppy, multiple levels with short stairways, even to their breakfast dining area. The gracious lobby has a wonderful seating area in front of a beautiful fireplace that is kept well stocked. There are books, and games, and a game table as well.

Yelp
Great hotel in Ketchum, a place where regular people can stay and enjoy Sun Valley. The town has catered to the wealthy, hard to find a place for working class. It's clean, well cared for and centrally located. Hope it does not become another Condo complex that's unaffordable.

Selway M.

Yelp
We got a "pet friendly" room since all others we might have wanted were already taken. We did not have any real problems. Beds were comfortable but toilet really small. Needs to be upgraded. Shower was dangerous as there were not sufficient safety bars installed. Pool was out of order. Provided breakfast was better than most. Room had refrigerator and microwave and coffee machine, all working. All in all, a satisfactory room.

Xavi T.

Yelp
We stayed over New Years Eve weekend for a father/son ski trip. Everything either met or exceeded our expectations. Very close to River Run lift & Gondola. Would stay again.

Tami L.

Yelp
Small but clean rooms. Laid back, nice doggy gift bags , complimentary snack bag with water was a nice touch. The best off leash dog park I've ever seen!

Betsy W.

Yelp
We just got home last night from a family wedding and we had ten couples/families staying here. It was amazing! Every single person that works front desk was incredible. Always helpful and efficient. We needed pack and plays and they had them in the rooms requested upon arrival as well as every other issue or request was immediately done! We loved the lobby as a nice gathering space and the breakfast is probably the best hotel breakfast we have ever had! The cleaning crew always friendly and hard working! We had originally wanted a VRBO but this place worked out even better accommodating all 20 of us and of course the heated pool and large hot tub was awesome! For sure the best bang for your buck and best deal in town. And so close to town made it a very easy walk! Thank for especially to Delaney, Mary and Brook and wish I knew everyone else's name as well! Thanks for making our stay in beautiful Ketchum perfect!

Sassy S.

Yelp
The staff at the front desk was very nice and made sure I knew about all the amenities. I did get the chance to check out the hot tub and it was very clean and I loved that it was chemical free and used salt water. The room was cozy. I liked there were wooden floors instead of carpet; it seems cleaner. The bathroom had everything you would need and the bed was comfy. I could hear a lot of noise from the other rooms which kept me up. It was like the folks above me were dragging furniture across the floor. The free breakfast was on point! It had everything including fresh raspberries and black berries. You could even make a breakfast burrito complete with salsa verde! The breakfast really took this place up a notch for me.

Yelp
Best western these nuts. ________________________________________________________________________

Yelp
Great location. Cozy lounge. Rooms a bit small but in good shape. Narrow hallways so a bit loud. Jerry at front desk was super friendly and really professional with a great attitude. Very nice stay. Hot breakfast was nice too. And coffee machine always available. Definitely will stay here again.

Steve O.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. It isn't the newest hotel, but I didn't want it to be. The charm and character it exudes made for a cozy homebase to adventure. My son & I drove up from Salt Lake City and were lucky enough to stay here. Beds were so comfy I slept well. We had a view of the mountains off our balcony every morning. The staff was amazingly nice. All of the amenities worked well, the breakfast was stellar (especially the potatoes) I highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure.

Yvonne B.

Yelp
The General Manager and Juan are the absolute best! Great Vib and unreal location . Thx for everything! So appreciate our time there!!!! Western Hospitality at its BEST!!!!!

Tarkay W.

Yelp
Very good considering this is a Best Western. Decent breakfast, friendly staff. Small rooms.

Shiv G.

Yelp
Great hotel and amenities. Game room is great with air hockey, tt, and foosball table, things people actually want to play. The lobby is good with fire place and several board games. Room was clean, fluffy pillows and good tv channels, great shower pressure. Breakfast was quality with fruits and variety of egg, sausage, biscuit and gravy etc. Excellent location to ski resort and outdoor hot tub is good facing the slopes.

William P.

Yelp
Nice place to stay around Sun Valley. Not too expensive. Jacuzzi and small swimming pool. Good breakfast. Room is ok. Maybe some renovation is needed.

Ron S.

Yelp
I was disappointed with this place. The mattress needs to be replaced, the AC would turn off and the room would become stuffy and hot. The only thing remodeled in my room is the tiny bathroom counter appears new. It's a two star hotel with a four star price. I want my money back.

Heidi C.

Yelp
Great spot. Location perfect. Not right in town but a short walk away. Close to the mtn. Great view. Staff was excellent. Even during covid they handled it all superb. Housekeeping. Front desk (Will was a super star!) and all the staff. They made it comfortable and easy. They brought a "decent" breakfast delivered to your room (best for packaged breakfast during this time of virus). It felt like being in the Alps with its design and old style carpet. Decent room. Clean! All good for the price. I definitely recommend especially after what I have been seeing on our road trip through the West!

Sharon G.

Yelp
Our room was fine. Location, dreadful. #125 is next to the stairway, entry doors, and breakfast room. We heard suitcases going up and down the stairs all night, early morning. People upstairs walking over our heads and creaking floors. Great bed, no sleep! Ask for the second floor to avoid some of the noise. Breakfast was great.

Sparky T.

Yelp
A good value for the area. No major issues during our stay. The AC in our room seemed to be a bit underpowered. The breakfast provided, while good, was not exceptional IMO. Location is convenient - a short walk into town and trails nearby.

Ryan K.

Yelp
I am giving this hotel 3-stars in the context of other hotels. (4-stars would be a nice Marriott with 5-stars reserved for like a four seasons.) Pros: The views are great from the hotel. I think it is the closest hotel to bald mountain. The beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was pretty good for a hotel breakfast. The staff was very friendly. The hot tub was perfect temperature and had good jets. Cons: the hallways are narrow and a bit smelly. There is no elevator. The outside is dated and still parts of the inside are too. Although they have redone the bathrooms. I would be fine staying here again but next time in sun valley I will probably look for something else before I book a room here. But overall not bad, and nothing as horrific as some of the reviews have said.

Joshua H.

Yelp
A pretty darn good deal in downtown Ketchum. We enjoyed our stay, and found the location particularly enjoyable. It's about a 5 minute walk from the heart of downtown, with just about any Ketchum restaurant or bar within walking distance. Even in winter, the walk wasn't bad at all. The prices are very reasonable, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is not very good, and the second floor has a shared balcony that tends to attract smokers after the bars close. You might want to ask for a first floor room if you choose to stay here.

Gretchen F.

Yelp
Great Barista Coffee Machine In the Lobby! Loved the barista machine in the lobby, as did everyone else in the hotel. Specialty coffee (latte, espresso, coffee, flavored as well, hot chocolate, vanilla hot chocolate) in the lobby 24 hours. Warm cookies at check in. Very good breakfast, fluffy down comforters, comfortable beds, pet friendly rooms if desired. Loved this hotel! Rooms are spacious, good parking, area for dogs to run right off the property. Everything in our room was updated (furnishings, paint, colors, etc.), we had a pet friendly room.

Julius M.

Yelp
My wife and I travel nearly 300 days a year. Last minute we stayed here. Thus so so so damn disappointed. If you want to pay a high price for a junk ass, old style Best Western this is your piece of crap hotel. The photos on Yelp are corporate!!! Walls are paper thin, bathrooms are so so small and a non secure outside community sliding door. Do not go!!!

Mary D.

Yelp
Very happy with my experience here. Our room far exceeded expecations. Bed was comfy, shower was strong, breakfast was delicious, and the customer service at the front desk was fabulous. After poor experience at other local hotels, this is my go to.

Linda L.

Yelp
This place is the most awful hotel I have ever experienced. That says a lot. I'm 77 years old and have visited a few hundred hotels. This staff is not only unfriendly but they are very mean spirited. They are dishonest with rates- they don't change rates. They're more cunning than that. They cancel your reservation, claiming YOU cancelled and make you start over. This is the ONLY hotel I know or have heard of who will do that. They will reply by insinuating that I caused rate changes. I never even considered cancelling and starting over. This is a technique they invented. I understand why their HIGHEST rating is a 3

Bailey S.

Yelp
I have been staying here for many, many years. They have recently extensively remodeled their entire building, indoors and out This place has always been my home away from home and over my years of patronage, I have created many friendships with the staff. The last time I stayed, there was a man who was screaming at the clerk on duty because he booked a non refundable room through Expedia, hotels, priceline or something and he was mad at the woman because he failed to mention he was bringing a pet. She had no pet friendly rooms available as it was well beyond 9 pm when I was standing behind this putz screaming at someone else for his own shortcomings. After he finally was done throwing a fit and trying to bully the clerk into breaking rules or threaten a bad review on yelp, I got her friendly smile and welcome back. I made mention about the angry man who kept me waiting and she just smiled and said he was frustrated because he misunderstood. I am a very seasoned traveler as my work requires many hours of travel time. I have learned along the way to always call a hotel property personally to ensure I am getting what I want and or need but especially when I am bringing my dog along for company. Why you would book a room without looking at the fine print? Especially, when bringing a pet in the heat of summer is absolutely beyond me. It is nobodies responsibility but my own to ensure I am bringing my pet to a hotel that will accommodate both of us. I have NEVER had a problem. Ever. I have called in advance and have been told that no pet rooms were available, so I didn't bring my dog. Very simple. The gal was frazzled because this man wouldn't stop he must have scremed at her for a good 10 minutes While we spoke she made mention that we would probably see a review somewhere saying how terrible they are and so I looked and wouldn't you know it? I immediately spotted a review stating about the same thing I saw by a man. Who is to say this is the same one, or just another simple fella who can't read the fine print or be bothered to take responsibility for setting himself up badly. But if it is indeed you, shame on you for treating that woman that way. I was right there with 1 other person waiting in line. The hotel is all remodeled, the rooms, furnishings, lobby, breakfast all of it is new. They even re paved their parking lot and put in a brand new entrance. More than half of the reviews on here are 100% false. Period. So allow me to tell you the truth. I have stayed at other establishments there in town and this is the best if you are looking for friendly staff, a great breakfast, clean rooms and every amenity needed for a short or lengthy stay They have a laundry facility, they have a fitness room, a game room for kids, they have a heated pool, hot tub and sauna. They offer breakfast which not many other hotels in town do. Another hotel who is twice the price only offers a $5 coupon for a not so great wrap joint nearby that doesn't even open until 8. The only thing this place is lacking is an elevator and guests who can appreciate the efforts made by the entire staff to improve this older building and give guests exceptional service. I also want to clarify something about bed bugs. If you believe that review you should learn about the pesky bugs that everyone fears. You can't see them. No way were bedbugs congregating in the center of your bed as you stated. I marked that funny because.... really? In my 5 years staying here and sampling many rooms, I have never seen evidence of bed bugs (the markings they leave) nor have I been bitten by anything. You want honest reviews? Go to trip advisor and see for yourself. These guys are the best Ketchum has to offer unless you want the Ritz, if you want that, then go to sun valley and pay for the ritz. If you want a great rate, amazing friendly service, clean room and breakfast....this is the place to go.

Samuel P.

Yelp
This place is it. It sits just at the base of the ski mountain, they offer a selective hot breakfast, they have the BEST mountain views IN TOWN and are in a residential area which makes for a quiet evening. I was camping with my wife when an unexpected storm came in and forced us out. We drove through town checking out all the hotels, and after a bad experience at the other Best western we opted to stay here. This place is a gem The rooms are very new, fresh paint smell which adds to the feel of cleanliness, the rooms are a tad small, but impeccably clean and modern. You cannot get a better view of the mountain unless you are at the lifts, which was a less than 5 minute walk across the street and parking lot. For a camping trip gone wrong, to a rude staff member at the other Best western to find this hidden gem in the end, it wound up being a phenomenal trip after all. Brook at the desk was more than eager to please, even offering assistance with our luggage up the stairs when she was in a sling, and Yadeera at check out... you all turned it around for us. I can't say enough about the staff and room, not to mention breakfast all for the lowest rate in town. You simply cannot beat this place. While there we pre booked our next trip. We can't wait to see you in the fall and cuddle with those amazing down blankets.

Piedad S.

Yelp
I am giving this them 5 stars because of the excellent customer service we received by everyone at the hotel. We had been driving for 12 hrs so when we checked in it was nice to be greeted with a warm smile. In addition they upgraded us giving us an extra room for the kids. The hotel was very clean and the game room was awesome. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had.

Andy R.

Yelp
i am up here for a meeting , and decided I didn't want to stay at The Sun Valley Lodge. I was looking for a value in the room I chose through Expedia and found this place . I know it's a ways away from downtown but figured i can walk to restaurants and such. I reserved a king room through expedia a monthago, but when I got up to my room it was a double. I called downstairs and asked them for a king but they said they were booked. my colleague with whom I am traveling said he just reserved his room two nights ago through Best Western and he has a king. I have to wonder if it's because I didn't go through their website that my room is incorrect as I climbed the stairs to the third floor I noticed an odor like animals and while in my room my eyes became itchy which leads me to believe there have been some kind of animals in this room. So I'm stuck in a room that smells like animals and not even a king. I won't be coming back. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash to be at another hotel closer to downtown that is not antiquated and doesn't smell of animals.

Jaime P.

Yelp
Not bad for the price, and probably the cheapest, nicest place in the area. ($119.99 or $107.99 if you have AAA. Also, military/veteran/government discounts!) Very clean, pet-friendly rooms... some with hardwood floors! Flat screens, lots of channels... and friendly service. Breakfast was also good- yummy waffles and coffee. Downsides were that some of the lights didn't work and the shower flow was very... weak. I felt like I couldn't even get my entire body wet and the water didn't get very hot.

David C.

Yelp
This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at, I woke in the morning to find insect bites on my arms and when I checked under the mattress I was horrified to see about 20 or 30 bed bugs, keep away from this place unless you want to be food for bed bugs!!

D R.

Yelp
Reasonably priced hotel for Ketchum. Using tyrolean in the name is an insult to Tyrol as the only references are some family crests on the front. This is just a motel with thin walls and average size rooms. They let dogs in so I've heard yapping all weekend. Walking distance to downtown is a huge bonus as no restaurants within premises or nearby. Standard breakfast with microwave eggs/bacon/sausage but clean and nice fruit/bread selections. Pool and hot tub which was great after biking and rafting. Staff very nice.

Richard H.

Yelp
I am a fan of pet friendly hotels... However , bring the FeBreeze with you if staying here. Room smells like It just bathed a pack of Shepards. Staff is very friendly, the price is right, and the bed is comfy... But the smell of kennel is overwhelming. Perhaps unlucky room assignment, but won't take my chances again unless bringing a pooch.

Lewis P.

Yelp
I was there on 9/15/16 and the front desk gal was very busy. I had stopped in prior to this and spoke with her about renting a room and she was busy then too. She was very informative but I wanted to look at all of my options. So we went out for the day and then came back later in the evening to see if they still had anything available. Brooklyn was still there and busy as ever. A man named Tom came out to give a hand and she was on the phone with someone when this man aproached her and rudly told her to hang up the phone and he didnt care who it was. I was appauled to find GM behind toms name. I thought the girl handled herself well and proffessionally, even after the "GM" treated her like that in front of other guests. The price is right, the hotel is well kept, the front desk staff is beyond friendly but I wont be back.

Kimba F.

Yelp
I probably would have given four stars normally, saving the fifth for the extraordinary. But the random bad reviews, one being extremely old before renovation and god knows what the dog smell thing was about, have unfairly given this excellent hotel a low star rating. Couldn't be farther from truth. It's very nice here. Quiet, off the main road, nice views. My room is next to a door with parking lot access and I never heard people going in and out. The best of all was the night attendant, Jason. We had fled a VRBO with a rat problem and arrived at 1am. He gently helped us with all our gear (I'm handicapped) and refused to take a tip. I guess he felt sorry for our miserable state. We had come that day from W. Yellowstone. Anyway. Price is phenomenal for ski resort.

D T.

Yelp
We've used this place repeatedly over the years, so I owe them a review. We've stayed at many places in Ketchum and this one is by far the best bang. The breakfast is pretty good. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and most have a pretty good view. The gym is probably the weakest link, but there's so much to do in the area, it's a last resort. Over the years the people at the front desk have been consistently courteous meaning apparently the management is not bad. Location wise, it's sort of on the southwest edge of town, but an easy walk to the River Run, bike path, or downtown. You might take a bike or bus if you plan on going to Sun Valley though.

Yelp
It located a few blocks from downtown Sun Valley, good value. Rooms are just renovated with all new amenities and furniture. I like the room has sliding door where we can step out for fresh air - it however too narrow to sit outside though. We didn't try the breakfast or anything else, but I really enjoy the room - new, clean, bright, comfortable, what else you need for a short stay? I started like Best Western. :-)

Yelp
I've stayed here for a weekend in August several years in a row. This year I was forced to cancel my trip on short notice. After friendly staff promised I'd not be charged, I was charged anyway. Phone call to office was a waste of time. I was polite but clear that it's not really okay to say one thing and do another, and I would never stay at their hotel again and they were okay with that. So, I guess everyone is happy. But, I would recommend to anyone else staying in Ketchum to skip the Tyrolean Lodge and try some of the newer more customer oriented establishments.

Yelp
This hotel had bed bugs and I was staying here christmas day 2011 and had to check out when I discovered bed bugs in my room and got bitten. It was the creepiest thing I ever saw. I stayed here a few years ago and didn't notice a problem but after the latest experience I will never stay here again. :(

Yelp
Old hotel with old carpet in main areas. Bed and room okay. Typical hotel continental breakfast. Their coffee sucked!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the stay. The staff was hospitable and the room was adequate. The decor is a bit dated, but charming and clean.

Yelp
This hotel was awesome. Not only the service at the front desk being exceptional, I left my entire bag of jewelry in the room. They called me to come get it. Thank you to the hotel staff person who was so honest. It's appreciated!!!

Yelp
The hotel was clean and nice. It is located on the far edge of town, so while it is true that the walk is manageable, it depends on how many kids you have and how hungry they are. We drove. The hotel had board games which is a nice touch. Ketchum is a nice place to be and the price here was reasonable compared to others in the area. There is no elevator so if you have mobility issues...keep looking.
