The ability to wander inside the caves is fantastic. The HaNasi cave and the Cave of Coffins are very impressive. Apart from the historically relevant burial caves, the surrounding area is filled with greenery and beautiful. My first time in this amazing national park. It is breathtaking- the burial caves are so interesting and some of the sarcophagus has the most amazing symbols and figures. At this location, there is numerous burial caves that are spectacular as well as a nice hike along the trail. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

This is a very unique historic site from around 2000 years ago. The sanhedrin which was the ancient Israeli parliament was there and also the site contains many burial caves from roughly the same era. During the spring there are amazing flower flourishing there (raqefet flowers) and there is the statue of Alexander Zeid near by which provides an amazing lookout for the sorouding valley.

I decided we’d visit Bet She’arim, a Jewish necropolis on our route, expecting to spend maybe 30 minutes there. It was actually a huge complex of tombs, some ornate and large, others just niches in the wall. We spent around an hour exploring about half the park – it was something the Israeli’s made a lot of as they are very sensitive, desperate even, to prove their claim to the land. There were lots of families at the site and it was amazingly busy, especially as it lacked a proper cafe! There was a good sized car park and the usual excellent staff we have come to expect from Israeli National Parks.

You should definitely make time for this site. In 2015 this site was inscribed as a Unesco World Heritage site. It says it all! I planned to visit this site after the children's Sukkot vacation and it was the right decision as this site was not crowded at all making my visit even more enjoyable, I do recommend you try to do the same. I have attached several pictures, hoping to convince you to visit this site.

Beautiful place - spent around 3 hours in total because we had no car so we hiked to get there and out. The tour guide Mina was wonderful and she made me feel very included even though the tour was given in hebrew only. I give 4 stars because the video presentations were only in hebrew (audio and subtitles). Not even a tiny english subtitle! And also there’s no proper place to eat only a tiny store that sells drinks.

My first time in this amazing national park. It is breathtaking- the burial caves are so interesting and some of the sarcophagus has the most amazing symbols and figures. There are scripts in Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic and more. Bear in mind the there is new part with a system of caves that open to visitors only on weekends. It’s also a UNESCO heritage site

The ability to wander inside the caves is fantastic. The HaNasi cave and the Cave of Coffins are very impressive. Some of the smaller tombs are a bit claustrophobic. Great signage, good park brochure. Bathrooms, store, water all fine. Adequate parking. Good walking paths. The ruins of the old Bet She'arim are worth walking around, too.

What an amazing experience. To learn about the origin of Mishna and Talmud, explore the cave of coffins, and understand the history of the menorah and its importance to Israel? What a treasure
