I cannot say enough nice things about Bethel Woods and am so excited to attend another event here. We attended the Pretty Lights weekend and it was magical! The staff was so nice and friendly, full of knowledge about the grounds and happy to share. The museum was awesome, full of so much information and interactive exhibits. The grounds were impeccable, fun to explore. So many fun things planned for the weekend we were there to see Pretty Lights. They even had a craft tent! Camping was the highlight! We go to a lot of shows and camp and none are set up like Bethel Woods. Working bathrooms and showers with an attendant all day to keep them clean and stocked. Fun lively buses to shuttle you back and forth to the grounds. Honestly, this was one of the nicest venues I have ever been to! I could go into so much more detail but do yourself a favor and go experience this amazing place for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Very nice venue, good atmosphere. Has really great sound if your there for a show. Last time I was there was August 24 to see PHISH... would definitely go there again.

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is an unparalleled concert experience. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this remarkable venue boasts exceptional staff, stunning grounds, and world-class acoustics. Their commitment to reinvesting profits into the site and employee well-being is evident in every detail. The serene landscape, coupled with top-notch security, created a worry-free environment, even for our young child. The campground amenities, particularly the showers, surpassed all expectations. Our visit was further enhanced by the unexpected celestial spectacle of the Perseid Meteor Shower and Northern Lights. Bethel Woods is more than just a concert venue; it's a destination that fosters a sense of community and unforgettable memories. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a safe, enjoyable, and extraordinary event experience.

I just recently did the glamping here during the Pretty Lights weekend. From the monent we arrived, checked in and shuttled to our tent, everything was perfect. And then there were the showers, which was maybe the best shower I’ve had in a long time. Better then major hotel chains. It made the camping experience even better! Nice staff and security too. Thanks for a great weekend.

Google
Great new concept. Staying in the Luxury Glamping Tents was wonderful. Running hot and cold water, shower, linens, coffee maker, heaters, air conditioner and more. Plus for one price you get the “tent”, VIP parking and tickets to the show. The entrance to the show was 2 minutes away. Great experience all round!

Google
I can not stress enough the incredible feeling of being here. They have done such an amazing job in the creation of this place. There are articles of clothing from artists who performed, set lists, and even notes that attendees were leaving so their friends could find them. There are interactive things to do while walking through and incredibly well-done videos. The entrance fee is $20, but it's so well worth it! The staff are kind and helpful, and prices for items in the gift shop are a tad high; however, that being said, they are still lower than in the actual town of Woodstock. There are 2 areas to peruse on your journey the upstairs is the main museum with most of the items, and the downstairs has a few really cool things as well including a piece of the actual stage and stacks. So freaking amazing! I'd love to go back, but at a minimum... this is checked off of my bucket list. There is also a food court type of area on the main level with very reasonably priced food, drinks, coffee, etc. There also vegan options available and they make the food there. So that's a bonus. Highly recommend the road trip. You won't regret it!

This was the second concert I saw at Bethel Woods. Absolutely amazing. From the friendly staff, large selection of food and drinks, truly a perfect experience!!!

Google
One of the best concert venues! The venue itself is in a more rural part of New York. Having only a few entrances and exits, there will be traffic to park and leave. Parking is free and even in the back lot, it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to the entrance. There are porta potties scattered throughout the venue along with bathrooms close to the main stage. Security and staff were all super friendly. Highly recommended getting to the lawn early if you have general admission tickets. The chair rentals were nice and convenient to pick up (I recommend reserving the chairs ahead of time). Really great way to spend a summer evening!

Yelp
Cool venue to check out, either for a show or to just tour the grounds and learn about the history of Woodstock

Yelp
Wow what a venue and the thought that you're walking on history even makes it more exciting. I had a chance to go to Woodstock 99 but never went but having the opportunity to see limp bizkit here 25 years later was a win in my book. The parking was smooth the drink selection is wayyy better than other concert venues and the food options, wow, so many good ones to choose from!! I can't wait to go back. Only bad thing is the distance from the capital district.

Yelp
This is truly a beautiful venue for a concert. My husband uses a scooter. We were dropped off by our Uber by the museum. There is a short walk uphill. The museum was amazing. You really left with a great vibe of Woodstock. The unfortunate part was no one knew where our seat and section were. We literally asked 8 people. We were sent all the way around the venue to our handicap accessible seat. Once there we saw it was just across the middle. Luckily there was a plug to charge the scooter. All the employees were very nice. The whole venue is very wheel chair friendly. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The museum is really entertaining. You are transported to 1969 as you walk through all key events happening during that year in addition to the well-known 1969 concert at Bethel Woods. I recommend everyone to visit at least once.

Yelp
The grounds are immaculate. It's as much a concert venue as it is an experience. Word to the wise, the grounds are vast. This is not the place to visit if you have mobility issues unless you have the appropriate assistance in place. It has to be in excess of 1/4 mile from the entrance to the pavilion. To compound that, unless you've gotten premiere parking, expect a half mile walk from your parking spot to the main gate. If you're tired from your walk in from the parking lot, they do have a historic Woodstock Museum that offers a glimpse of the past of this historic site. In fact, the main grounds are so large that they have a separate stage near the entrance that had other bands perform before and after the main show, with entire lawn that could easily accommodate hundreds of people. The grounds are so vast, I'm sure there's plenty I missed on my first visit. Walking from the gates to the pavilion, there are numerous food options, many of which take into account allergies and dietary constraints. That being said, if mobility is not an issue, this is an impressive facility. The staff is friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The pavilion has great sound and sightlines, with the following exception--do not pick seats in the center of section 100. Your view will be obstructed by the sound mixing equipment. In fact, they probably shouldn't even sell these seats, or they should have set the sound mixing equipment into some sort of dugout. Word to the wise--avoid this area. The lawn is vast and a touch heavily sloped. Again, this could be rough if you have mobility issues. However, the design makes for a great view of the action, and the sound is exceptional there as well. The pavilion has multiple areas that are wheelchair accessible, with ample companion seating. There are ample restroom facilities. I can't speak as to the ladies' rooms, but the line for the men's room moved quickly and efficiently. The restrooms were clean, operational, and the soap and paper towels were well stocked. Also found that the lines for food and drink moved quickly, even during set break. One hurdle that is rough for them to overcome is that they are simply not set up infrastructure-wise to handle the volume of cars. This area is still very much country roads, that while connected to highways are still not quite capable of handling the amount of traffic coming and leaving. Coming a bit on the earlier side certainly helps. We opted to leave during the encore, as we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us to get home and a fairly early day on the horizon. They try there best to organize the departing traffic, but it's basically one road in and one road out, and that road is a single lane that gets overwhelmed when the show lets out. Took us about 10 minutes to get out post-show and we were amongst the first to our car in the lot closest to the exit. I'm guessing most people got stuck in that in excess of half an hour. If you're not willing to pay a little extra to be in the pavilion, make sure you rent a chair in advance. They don't allow outside chairs. Otherwise, make sure you carry a blanket or tarp for the lawn.

Yelp
Don't pay attention to the 1 star reviews about the concert venue. While Bethel Woods DOES have some rules you need to know, do a simple search before you go. Their code of conduct states what you can and can't bring. It's not that hard.. I've been to a couple of concerts at Bethel Woods and have throughly enjoyed them. Yes, I sprung for box seats but that's because it can rain and I'd rather have a roof over my head. It's an amazing facility and hosts world class performances. Now the cons to be aware of: * If you don't pay for parking then it CAN be a hike. If you cannot walk, or don't like to walk, then pay the $35. * If you opt for the lawn then either pre-order a chair or bring your blanket. Again, refer to their "Code of Conduct" where it clearly states what you can and cannot bring. * You can bring two sealed water bottles OR a plastic refillable water bottle (sorry no metal ones.. I suppose they are worried about belligerent drunks swinging them around). Just review the rules before you show up assuming you can waltz in with your cooler full of beer, umbrellas & lawn chairs. It's a highly enjoyable experience if you're flexible enough to play by them.

Yelp
This was an awesome amphitheater. My only grievance was with catbird for running out of ADA parking. Other than that I had an excellent experience. Security was not overbearing. Grounds are mostly flat until you get to the amp. Plenty of lawn seating and the sound was awesome! Some amps have horrible sound if you're on the lawn, not Bethel Woods! Beautiful area. The benches and seating near the entrance are very nice. Plenty of bars so lines were short. No trash everywhere. Very nice.

Yelp
Came here last weekend for a country concert. Cannot believe how much cleaner, bigger, and more efficiently runthis venue is compared to PNC. From Bergen County it is about 1.5 - 2 hours but it is worth it! There are chairs for the lawn seating. Lines for drinks were about 10 minutes maximum wait. Never a wait for the bathrooms, even as the concert was ending.

Yelp
My family and I went to the Peace Love and Pumpkins walk thru. Let me just say for $20, you guys did an awesome job. My grandson was the only kid in our group, and all the adults had a blast! Since we don't live far, we try to do as much as we can at Bethel when they have events, it's always a great time
google avatar

Ira K.

Yelp
I was there as were thousands of others. They expected 15000 and got 500000.. The thruway was closed so I came in from PA. The state police stayed in the back so virtually no one was busted. The first food that was trucked in the first morning was vending machine little cherry pies. Stoned with cherry mush on our faces.

Yelp
Peace, Love, WOODSTOCK! :-D We were here for the first time a couple of weekends ago to see Steely Dan, a concert 2+ years postponed by the Pandemic. Bethel Woods is a trek for us, 5+ hours from home, but it was WELL WORTH the drive. What a beautiful concert venue! Of course the Woodstock history is preserved and showcased here. The venue is on a hill, with the side of the hill where the original Woodstock stage was actually located now just rolling green beauty, with some signage about the '69 show. It's a sublime place to lay in the grass a bit, and soak up all those good vibes. If you know anything about '69 Woodstock, it was a miracle the stage even stood, haha. Learning from those mistakes, the new modern amphitheater was placed on the other side of the hill. And it is really well positioned. We had general admission lawn seats, and were still pretty close to the stage. The visibility of the stage and the sound quality was great, even up on the lawn. This has to be the best outdoor concert venue I've been to as far as placement of the vendors and facilities, too. Usually everything is corralled in one spot, usually far from the cheapest seats. But not here. There were food and drink vendors, and port-a-potties sprinkled all around the grounds, making every seat conveniently located near something. Really well done! Even parking was done great here! Sure, the lot is big and long, and it was a bit of a walk to the gates. But I expected that. I also expected the usual slog to get out of the single entry lot. But nope! Perhaps it was the spirit of love and cooperation of the land, as people were very kind to flag other motorists into the lines. And the lot attendants kept each line moving along at a good pace. Nice job crew! A few more things to be aware of if you see a show here: * For lawn tickets, outside chairs are NOT allowed, but you can rent chairs inside; blankets ARE allowed. * You ARE allowed to bring in two bottles of water per ticket holder. * You CANNOT bring in bags larger than a pretty small clutch-sized purse, UNLESS the bag is clear! I did not know this, but luckily my pretty tiny concert purse was small enough to be allowed inside. * Tailgating is permitted; we enjoyed a few libations we brought with us in the lot before heading in, as were several other concert goes. Please drink responsibly. :-) Overall, we had a wonderful time here at Bethel Hills. The venue is both serene, and really well organized. And Steely Dan put on a great show, as they should since it was two years in the making! Even with the distance from our home in Buffalo NY, we would love to see more shows here again in the future. Kudos to Bethel Hills, for the love of the music, man! :-D

Yelp
Very nice venue but an HOUR to get into the venue and an HOUR to get out of the venue. The traffic direction in/out of the venue is very inefficient and poorly run. It felt like we spent less time inside the venue for the ACTUAL concert and spent more time in congestion. I can't imagine the residents that live near the venue that have to deal with this insane traffic every time there is an event. BETHEL WOODS, PLEASE DO BETTER ON GETTING YOUR PATRONS IN/OUT. They have been around so long, one would think they would have figured out a better traffic system. Please be sure you really like the performing artist to deal with the aggravation of going in and out of the venue.

Keith K.

Yelp
They say this is a not for profit thing and they allow people to enjoy music just as they did in 1969. BULLSHIT 11,000 lawn seats which means you have to sit on the grass unless you rent one of their chairs. No blankets, no food, no water or soda, no outside anything. Everything is for sale or rent inside. Parking fees are exorbitant and a plastic cup is 11 dollars and 2 dollar refills . What about this is not for profit ??? It's all profit. It's a big open field. 6,000 seats at 180/each is over 1 million dollars. 11,000 lawn seats at 125/each is 1.4 million dollars Parking, food, beverage, rentals and souvenirs probably add another 1 million dollars so 1 five hour show generates almost 3.5 million dollars What about that is not for profit ??? Save your money and time and watch the show on Netflix or YouTube. Lines are unbelievable as well. Stay home people especially if you're older. It's not senior friendly unless your inside which is only in the winter or special events which are even more expensive.

Yelp
Went to pumpkins lights and love event. Way too much money for this event. They were absolutely no actual pumpkins everything was those styrofoam ones you buy in craft stores cut in half this image is painted on them. We went on a Friday night and there was supposed to be a big vendor market area but there was only like five vendors selling the same crystals and crap. There was also supposed to be food vendors there was a Bethel Woods event place in the middle and one in the beginning and that was it. They were also digital only so when I paid cash you couldn't get in even though they took the money. This truck a manager and about 35 minutes to figure out because we didn't have a mobile phone with us. While we were online figuring this out there was also people who had paid tickets on their Apple phones but weren't allowed to use those they had to be on the line and get a new scan code from the single cashier. Basically a sucky situation and a sucky place and definitely not recommended.

Yelp
Janis' pounding soulful vocals, Jimi's psychedelic rock, Santana's Latin-Rock fusion- and so many other musicians, delivered a stunning performance celebrating music, peace and love- right here in '69. Hubs and I finished some real estate work in the area, then zoomed in on the map and noticed Bethel Woods A. C. in Bethel, NY. It was ok driving past the (closed) museum. But it was more the thrill and chills we got walking on the same grounds the Woodstock Festival actually place. Bethel Woods was home to many of the most notorious musicians that made up the Woodstock Festival- and to this day, their music lives on. Acres upon acres are sectioned off (maybe pandemic-related?), but on an empty day, try to find parking then walk along the perimeter of Bethel Woods. This all happened way before my time, but I instantly gravitated to Janis, Jimi, Santana, Sly & The Family Stone's funk and rock sound. When it comes to music genres, I've never limited myself to just one type. Even more so, my hip-hop loving 25 year old daughter has been listening to Janis since she was 5 and loves her intense vocals. I'm not sure what Bethel Woods Arts Center is currently doing in regards to the pandemic, but their website might give you more info on what's being offered outdoors or virtually. If you're a fan of anything and everything Rock, come and take a walk on these grounds. And no...I'm not a tie-dye fan.

Yelp
Great place for concerts and events, today we came out for their Peace, Love and Pumpkin event. Pumpkins carved into shapes and characters reminiscent of the pumpkin blaze that's held in Sleepy Hollow, NY. We got here early and decided to do the Woodstock museum before the pumpkin walking tour. Weather was a little chilly but what one would expect for this time of year. The museum was very enlightening and if I may say, Far Out and Groovy. If not for an hour, take a trip back to the Age of Aquarius where love, peace and music brought 500,000 people together for four days of a historic event that resonated around the world. The event was very organized and the large crowd orderly. There were some food stands along the way of the tour route. When we finally finished our walk through and exited the main building there we're still people waiting on line to enter. The line spanned about a block long. Glad we took the time to come out to see this. While it's not as big and exuberant as the pumpkin blaze it was well worth the 2 hour drive from North Jersey. Given the opportunity I would do this again.

Yelp
I have been going to bethel woods for years. I have never really had a bad experience there. I will say that they are pretty accessible for handicapped people and they try their best to accommodate. However during popular concerts it is very hard to get a handicapped parking spot because people who aren't handicapped park in those spots. I know this to be true because I know people that have parked there and they see me and move to a non handicap spot so I can park there.

Patricia B.

Yelp
Enjoyed over the years. I am a disabled, elderly person and was able to access ada in the last row of the pavilion. These no longer are Ada. Ada has been moved to the lawn behind the last seats. It is impossible to take my rollator on the grass and sit in a provided chair. I no longer can attend performances at bethel. What happened to accessibility? I was told the old adage seats are for special people.

Jeanne I.

Yelp
Absolutely the WORST concert experience. Arriving several hours before the concert ... was not good enough. There are 2 roads leading into Bethel Woods. However, the traffic stops on both of these roads about 1-2 miles out. And then that is it. You just don't move. Unfortunately, this means you can't get to the concert. Many people had to turn around and go home. Some of us hopeful's just parked our car hoping to maybe hear a song or 2 BUT no. We were still too far away. The Bethel Woods folk's literally just laugh at this awful situation The only nice thing they did was to occasionally send a staff member down through the traffic on a golf cart to pick up an important person (I am not an important person in the view of BrthelWoods). VERY awful place.

Yelp
Been here before for concerts (like seeing the Goo Goo Dolls), and to the musuem. Concerts here are really fun: they are cashless, so do bring a credit or debit card so one can purchase food/drinks. Don't really like this much because some do still use cash and probably would give the exact amount but all good! Seats are comfortable and seem to be roomy as i recall. (it's been a while!) For the musuem, there is an admission fee, but it is a cute little musuem all about some of the artists who performed at woodstock. If you love history and enjoy music, this is definetely a stop for you! Went here on 12/28/2022 to see their Peace, Love & Lights light festival. Cute little scenes with lights, like the penguin sliding down the igloo, elves building toys, a guitar, and a voltswagon light up van. Definetely recommend to check out! Also, we didn't do it but there is a special price of $5.00 for admission at the musuem if you want to check it out afterwards!

Yelp
Over the years Bethel Woods has made many improvements. Tickets from Ticketmaster can now be scanned from your phone and all food and beverage stands are cashless. Entering Bethel is fairly easy depending on the concert. If you keep it simple you will get straight through. Carry a bag and other stuff gets much harder to get through security. Check the website for specific bag requirements They are very strict on this and won't let you through with a back back or bags that don't meet the strict requirements. You'll have to go all the way back to your car or store it for a few and claim it at the end of the concert Once you are through you will find vendors and other things to do before you make your way to the lawn or pavilion. Make sure to rent a lawn chair if you have lawn tickets. Food and drink is available inside but hold on to your wallet because it ain't cheap. However I always enjoy a beer on the lawn. We take the time to tailgate and eat before we enter although if you want you can bring you own food into the venue as long as it is in a sealed container Depending on the act you can expect long lines and if you park on the field expect traffic getting out on the single lane country roads. Come early, tailgate, and enjoy. If you're not a tailgater walk the grounds and check out the museum. This is after all the grounds of the Woodstock Festival

Yelp
Other than the historic walk in and out of the venue, it is a very good venue. Sound is great, one of the most friendliest staffs at a venue I have experienced. I have been to more than afew. Would recommend this venue for any show!
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
One of my favorite venues. Great atmosphere. Lots of stuff going on. Concerts are great. Wine and beer Festa are great. No complaints at all. I went to this place before they redid it and made it a venue. Ya shuts and the Woodstock lots were a blast. I still remember the first concerts I saw there once they remodeled everything. It was called A Day in the Garden... it was a blast. Many good memories on these lands and this venue. The landscaping is beautiful and you can always see the sunset perfectly!

Yelp
Poor ADA accommodations, They offer an ADA area behind last row of pavilion seats. But this is reserved only for visible mobility guests. Wheelchar, scooter, cane or foot/ leg device. They have higher/taller ADA lawn chairs but they do not have enough to meet needs. They ran out during Jimmy Buffett, that might be expected but a Foreigner concert with less than half the attendance they ran out hour before show started. Myself I have knee issues while sitting Pavilion stationary seat are too close together to stretch legs out, low lawn chairs have a bar that jambs into calf if extending legs. If booking concerts for older classic rock acts they should prepare for clientele that corresponds with that era. Patrons in 50/60 & 70s. Don't try and call they never answer phone or emails.

Susan C.

Yelp
This year we started attending concerts again after COVID . We always loved it here we live in Hudson valley . The accommodations they help With and answer back emails immediately with so many concerns to make sure my special needs daughter is In a perfect seat and transports to and from the concert . The customer service is excellent actually beyond excellent from the moment we get there and leave the service is beyond wonderful , shout out to Christian for your amazing customer service.

Harry G.

Yelp
Great venue now lets talk parking. Nothing they could do about the traffic jams on a country road so put that aside. Buy WHY in the world are there no parking signs (not a single one) identifying parking lots? You get out of your car and have to memorize where you are before you start the sometimes mile long hike to the venue. When you get out of the concert, you are walking around miles and miles of grass lots, in the complete pitch black, and since you never saw a sign to begin with, you have no idea where your car is parked. I could not find my car without my GPS finder. Until I tuned it on, I walked around the dark for half an hour. Asking staff for help, they said "sounds like you parked in Lot G, walk that way" but why in the universe would the lot not have a sign and then directions along the roads to get there. You are literally walking around a 1000 acre site in the pitch black night with no signs, and there are 6 "lots" with no signs. It is bizarre and insane.

Yelp
Music Great Drunks Not Great The show was great, the venue and how everything was handled was good as well. What marred the event were the two groups of drunk a-holes who started fighting near us. We paid $300 for my son and I to have a great Father-Son time and I found myself having to get up in the middle of the concert to place myself between the fighting idiots and my son to protect him. TWICE! I'm not rich and if I spend that much money to take my boy to a concert, I expect the venue to take preventative measures which would preclude such stupidity. What if the fight spilled over and my boy got hurt. I guarantee you that Bethel Woods would have been looking at a lawsuit. This experience has me reconsidering our family patronage with Bethel Woods. This was supposed to be a family friendly event. Darius Rucker and his opening band were excellent, but I highly doubt we will be seeing him or any other artist at Bethel Woods again.
google avatar

Annmarie L.

Yelp
We saw Josh Groban here and we throughly enjoy it. The grounds are beautiful. My only issue was that I wished they had better signs for their shuttle service. The walk is about 2 miles from the parking lot to the venue. After the show we were able to find the shuttle and get back to our car. They had many places inside the venue to eat a sit down meal or grab something quick. Many beer and alcohol vendors were available. Great place.

Yelp
The site of the original Woodstock, Bethel is steeped in history. And weed smoke, lots of weed smoke too. I recently came out with a much larger group of men (not gentlemen, to be clear) than should ever roll anywhere in one pack to see Lynyrd Skynyrd.* This group of guys doesn't tend to be the best behaved segment of the population anywhere they go, but I must admit that certain parts of the Skynyrd crowd made them look downright civilized. I'm looking at you, guys in the Confederate flag t-shirts, and fat biker that literally full-on closed fist punched his girlfriend in the head while you were waiting in line near us. In all honesty, even if you weren't three times my size...I'd probably still stay out of your way because you're obviously insane, and carrying firearms (a knife at a minimum).** I don't know if it's Skynyrd or upstate New York that brings out this crowd, but they were...special. Anyway, that's neither here nor there when it comes to talking about Bethel. Bethel is nice. It's huge and beautiful and well-maintained. In good weather, with a great band playing, it's essentially paradise. Except: They just aren't equipped for the crowds they draw. The lines for beer, food, and the bathroom are insanity. Plan accordingly, I guess? The staff did seem to be competent and nice for the most part, but I really feel for the folks assigned to try and keep people from peeing in the woods. That was a thankless, impossible task. Also, be aware that if you're trying to find your party bus after the show in the rain, it's going to take a lot longer than you think to find Lot F. ______________ *Or, what's left of the band after the fateful plane crash decades ago. **Seriously this was actually terrifying, and despite the fact that we tried to inform the authorities, the description of a "large tattooed biker with a beard" wasn't very helpful at this show.

Yelp
I cannot say enough positive things about this venue. So many things to do and eat before a show. The staff is so sweet. The bathrooms are super clean with a lot of them so minimal lines. The lawn seating is epic. It's actually a seat with a view! The parking lot was easy to get into and out of. The museum tour is so worth it too. So cool to learn about when the venue was used for Woodstock in the 60s.

Yelp
On the grounds of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Arts Fair, this museum covers that time and the 1960s like no other museum does. Really, when you come here, you will feel like you are in 1969 and at the three day historic concert. You will love the bus. This place is a must-see. George Vreeland Hill

Yelp
It took two hours to get in for parking. Missed the first band. Awful and discouraging.

Yelp
Been to Bethel Woods a couple of times for shows over the years. The museum is great and the volunteers are helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept and the shed where the music is featured is great. Depending on the show, there are multiple food and "stuff" vendors. I love the gift shop, too. Some pretty overpriced gear, but cool options. Hey, this is the original site of Woodstock back in August, 1969. Three days of music, rain, mud and trippin'. Peace, man. And don't have any of the brown acid...it's reported to be bad. Groovy.

Yelp
I've heard stories about this place. The venue... the legend! So this place has a museum at the historical spot where the epic Woodstock Festival that took place almost exact 10 years before I was thought of... bummer. Anywho, I have never been there before and I just hope for you New Yorkers, especially you city slickers that you find yourself a good concert and take the trip up. It's breathtakingly beautiful. The air, the energy, the woods.... It's one of those experiences that are beyond description. You just HAVE to do it! I went to see Incubus this past Sunday. We sat in the section with the over hang... because I fear the sunburn damage on my skin as I gracefully age like a vampire. It was great we weren't far off the from the stage... but there are some actually many (at least a thousand) who were chilling out on the lawn and enjoying the show. The structure really allows for the beats to carry for miles. It was a great experience. It's one of those places one must pay homage and make a pilgrimage to. I highly suggest you take a look at the website and find a band that appeals to you and head up there while the weather still permits. Visit the museum while you're at it! Come one come all!

Yelp
So much to do, such a cool place to be! Only problem I had was security. I'm all for law enforcement, etc, but these people were doing a REALLY good job protecting the grass. They needed the front area of the lawn for emergencies / EMTs, totally understandable. BUT my goodness these people won't let your big toe touch the grass if you're trying to get a photo or video. If I had bought a seat, I'm allowed to get the whole performance on my phone, but since I walked to the front of the lawn(I'm 5ft), you'll be immediately bombarded by security protecting that grass. Meanwhile half the people they're pushing away they could've probably been escorted out because of how disorderly they let everyone be.

Yelp
Went here for a concert and we loved it! A lot of walking but they seem to have great options for handicapped individuals. It was a carnival type vibe with a ton of ten options for food and drinks. Staff was very helpful when we had problems loading our tickets for our seats. Phone / Wi-Fi service limited so be sure to save your tickets to your apple wallet if you have that choice!

Yelp
It is actually a quite nice amphitheater and grounds. However, there are no water refill stations/water fountains anywhere on the grounds, so better bring the 2 bottles of sealed water (so environmentally friendly) unless you want to stand in infinite lines to pay $5 for a small bottle. Second point, not enough food concessions and not enough staff. So the lines were non-stop 20+ minutes long minimum. Better bring food unless you love slow-moving lines. Third, the connectivity is terrible. Print out your tickets. We and many other people had problems with Ticketmaster tickets (even ones saved to Google Pay) crapping out at the gate and requiring us to go back out, stand in line at will-call to get them printed, and then going through security etc a second time. Fourth, quite long restroom lines, so think about how much you drink unless you want more line standing. And finally, they funnel people so tightly together on the way out between gates that if there were ever a panic, there will be trampling. If this concerns you either leave early or wait until the crowds thin out a bit. Btw, the staff was really nice.

Yelp
Staff was very rude and refused to allow a concertgoer with a medical condition inside to sit down for a moment to prevent fainting.

Yelp
At Shania Twain concert the video and audio on the big screen were so far off that it looked like she was lip syncing. The new ticket process was tedious. Took more than one person to get them to scan. Parking for truly handicapped individuals is awful. Too far from shuttle and was forced to park on gravel parking lot which is a nightmare for walkers and wheelchairs. They should consider parking specifically for wheelchairs and walking devices. Once in the facility the staff was wonderful and caring.

Yelp
Beautiful venue but much work needed to organize food service and traffic. It's a little better for concerts than comedy stand up because you're there a longer time anyway. Went to Bill Burr and got into gate then slow down to get phones in pouches. Food and drink lines extremely long, food so-so not good (dry tacos) and slowwww service- they do not have enough employees to serve at ANY kiosk. Employees were complaining to customers- sorry I'm not your boss can I just get my food? We gave up on getting beer, we even separated to conquer 2 lines (yup another inefficiency) and no luck, got tap water (they even ran out of soda at taco stand)and sat for show. Tried a few min later and they stopped selling beer-went thirsty. Luckily we pre-gamed at least- you'll NEED to. Fyi Not one of Bill's best shows, not one I'd listen to again. It's like he was practicing on a paying crowd. Just eh. Getting out was a nightmare of course, no crowd control, no organization to undo pouches to get phones. We had to look for random person with a device-why? Been to stand up shows using pouches before and no hassle, they made it a breeze. Many people discussing just slicing them; they were fed up. 90 min -10:00-11:30 to leave the parking lot. Watched a guy ram his car into 2 other cars, at least some unexpected entertainment. No one hurt. We were there 7:10-11:30 to see a 1 hr show. Bethel woods also makes it hard to spend money, even last trip I would've bought another drink- you just can't! Bethel Woods needs different management. MANY employees standing around, some driving a cart and making noise WHILE Bill Burr speaking- uh what? Clueless. This made driving to nyc sooo much more appealing for next time. At least in city we'll be able to get food and drinks!

Yelp
Home of the original Woodstock festival of 1969. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a beautifully landscaped and well maintained outdoor venue with Pavilion and lawn area seating. They have a good variety of top-notch performances and festivals throughout the year. There is a museum on the grounds dedicated to the history of Woodstock and the performance space up to the current times with its impressive roster of performing guests. Each has a poster design for purchase as a memento. For food, there are many kiosks with snacks and casual dining, plus a few beer kiosks representing a variety of good New York breweries. It is definitely worth a trip (2 hours from NYC) plenty of B&Bs if you stay overnight in the area. Arrive early. **Visited in 2014 for Alison Krauss & Union Station band with Willie Nelson, and last weekend for Jim Gaffigan's hilarious stand-up comedy.** http://www.bethelwoodscenter.org/performances-festivals/event-gallery

Yelp
Had to stand all the way in the back because they wouldn't sell us lawn chairs (and your not allowed to bring your own). The grass was wet, so sitting on the ground was not an option. They had chairs but wouldn't sell them claiming they were presold, yet there were stacks of chairs everywhere and the concert had already started. It doesn't make sense to me that 1 you would sell lawn tickets and not have an equal amount of chairs to the number of sold tickets and 2 turn guests away when the "presold" chairs were obviously going unused. When you can't bring your own chair, you are forcing guests to stand. Standing on the lawn (when everyone else has chairs), blocks the view of the seated guests. This leaves us standing in the concession area where would could barely see anything. Totally sucked. I will tell everyone I know about this terrible experience and I'll be spending most of today writing bad reviews on every review site I can find.

Yelp
I've been here twice. I attended the Woodstock 50th Anniversary weekend here seeing both Ringo Starr's band and Santana. I ended up spending extra to get a seat inside the venue instead of getting a cheaper lawn seat. I was glad I did. It rained a bit during Santana and I was glad to be under the roof. My seat wasn't amazing as it seemed a bit smaller than I would have liked. I'm not a big guy so I can't imagine being a bigger person and trying to sit in these seats. The view was great for both concerts. The staff were nice. I returned back to check out the grounds and overall venue. During the Woodstock 50th there were tons of people and I didn't really get to check it out. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. A very peaceful place. I'd recommend checking out the museum and taking the augmented reality tour. My only complaint is the food sold during the concerts was expensive!! Though it actually was pretty good!

Yelp
Whats not to like about where Woodstock was!? Our vacation house is 10 minutes from here and so convenient to get to! We attended the Winter fest which had the 2 buildings packed with vendors. All cool stuff, from clothes, to food and booze! The gigantic fireplace rocks!

Yelp
A day of reminiscing... Arrived early to walk around the grounds which brought back great memories of the 1969 festival. This is an amazing venue for music. We were in the indoor theater as the outside shows don't start until May 1. The performance was a re-creation of the Band's classic 1978 concert The Last Waltz featuring the Rev Tor Band and friends. Great music of the 70's... Check out YouTube for videos. Great evening except for the obnoxious behavior of the jerk behind us!

Yelp
W for Woodstock, W for where is the water? Bethel Woods Center for the Arts I cannot fathom that the historic and landmark festival site of peace, love, and music failed to provide a source of clean public drinking water to its 15,000 capacity crowd in the heat of July. Phish at Bethel Woods Center For The Arts I asked at least 4 different venue personnel - the volunteers associated with a designated driver initiative, beverage vendors, bathroom attendants, and the medic staff - was told there was nothing for me except $4 single use plastic bottles or the hot tap water I drank out of the bathroom sink. They allowed empty, refillable containers to come in but had no where to fill them? This is more than just my soap box issue, it is a human rights issue, and I am certain that people were affected by the heat and lack of access to FREE, clean drinking water. I'm going to go leave 1 star reviews on your venue because of this - the optics and metrics of your reviews might make an impact, and then maybe our basic needs as human beings will be accommodated. I shouldn't have to do this- especially in the heartland of music festival history - it is common sense and common decency. Stop trying to squeeze us for $$$
